I don't even have the words to describe how I'm feeling about wolf quest saga being out for public beta. Imagine you're 8 years old and so lonely but at least you have this game to play and you're waiting for the rest of it to be out and you check and check and check every single day for an update. And then you grow up and forget about it for a while. And now you're 24 and you're not so lonely anymore but this game you loved so much as a kid is nearly finally completed over fifteen years later by a group of people who love these animals just as much as you do. A wonderful beautiful project of passion that was never meant to be this big or this loved. Bursts into tears.

played wolfquest with my bestfriend today and drew these two wolves we made! their names are Trout (left) and Heron (right) and they're young littermates of amethyst. i havent tried realism in a little while so its a bit rough but i rlly like how it turned out ^⁠_⁠^

Been playing WolfQuest again now that the Saga is out and i'm having lots of fun with this fucked up little pack i've created

Jackrabbit has killed at least 3 alphas and caused the destruction of an entire pack by killing both their alphas + pups of the year forcing the rest to disperse, this dog has blood in it's metaphorical hands

Plus their territory is located in Lost River, y'know the valley settled inbetween huge cliffs and mountains which once used to house an entire town, now abandoned due to some disaster possibly inspired by Chernobyl ? Yeah that one

Anyway I started playing Wolf Quest again after 10 years...

I keep thinking "I want more games like WolfQuest" but really I just want WolfQuest copied and pasted so many times so I can go "Ok I've been playing 8 hours I need to stop now, let's play WolfQuest instead"

It's literally the perfect game for wolf therians because YOU'RE LITERALLY A WOLF !! And it's all scientifically accurate and based in a REAL LOCATION and the only human interactions are optional and even collectibles blend in enough that it's entirely plausible. All of the achievements and locations are so natural and don't break the immersion of being a real, wild wolf, while still having fun side tasks to do all while trying to survive !! And you can pick the difficulty so it isn't too stressful or so it IS super realistic and scary !!

I have never played an animal simulation game this fun, realistic, rewarding, and expensive !! My inner child that grew up on original WolfQuest is screaming every time I play anniversary edition because oh my goodness it's so awesome and I am Really there and there's STILL updates !! There's so much to do you can complete the game thousands of times and still not have done all the achievements and paths and secret little interactions!!
