I love a piece of media where you can say "I was loving the soup scene from the beginning, and then the soup scene kept on souping," and have people know what you mean.
"this is my body I give to you"
[Ortus explodes in ludicrous gibs]

Also, while I'm on Gideon the Ninth and Warhammer: I'm probably boss babying here, but I'm reasonably sure that the Locked Tomb is in conversation with Warhammer.
There's a bunch of similarities, which could be random, but there's also some 馃悰 thematic things that look so much like Muir giving Games Workshop a side eye.

I just finished Gideon the Ninth!
On a serious note: I really enjoyed it. I've already got the Harrow the Ninth audiobook borrowed and downloaded. I'm glad I gave The Locked Tomb Series another shot.
On a less serious note:
I generally liked GtN, but there was one massive oversight from Muir: despite having a whole group of people called 'cavaliers' not a single one of them interacted with a horsie.
I'm sure Muir intends to correct this in Alecto.
Look, I need you to see my vision: Gideon, galloping across Canaan House, noble steed under her, two hander in her hands, and sunglasses on her head, shouting swear words.
Ideally, Harrow is on the back of the saddle, clinging to Gideon's waist, while cussing her out as a reckless idiot.

Also, I've been listening to Gideon the Ninth as an audiobook, and I'm enjoying it. It was a bit slow to start, but it's picked up the pace, and I'm finding Harrow and Gideon's banter amusing instead of irritating.

Also: I am having so much fun with Gideon the Ninth, I'm glad I gave it a second try
Harrow is my pathetic wet cat, and I'm picking her up while she hisses at me and drying her off
She's very relatable, in her
terror of formal dinners and "what do you mean, 'teamwork makes the dream work' I'm fighting this skeleton blind by myself"
