Okay so I actually have a lot of ideas for my Playa and one thing I really want to share is well, basically the jist of his life before joining the saints. It's not the greatest but yeah, click read more if you're interested in hearing what in the gods names I wrote.

So my Playa's actual name is Alex Lewis and he grew up with very rich parents. (I think Playa being apart of a gang and living like a 'normal' person when he has a shit ton of money and rich parents is funny. Plus it's a nice explanation on why he can just grab the money from the in-game safes from the cribs without any care, as it can be part of the gangs 'checks' to their people and his 'allowance' because holy crap there's usually a lot of money in those things.) Now he's also the youngest of the three children (him included) his parents had. (His parents were trying to embody the Nuclear family, Dad works, mom stays home, and the children have to be (for them) one boy, one girl, and the last child is a wild card (boy or girl).)

So unlike Playas two siblings (Adam and Brooklyn) who were raised pretty strict so that his parents could have the 'perfect family', he was given lots of freedom as he was the wild card in the family and they figured that he would follow his siblings lead (which was pretty much true). But while he had that freedom he was also held to the same standards as his two siblings and was pretty sheltered to the world. So because of that it kind of enforced the idea of following along with whatever others say (usually) especially in the two gangs he had joined (this will be expanded upon).

Now because of the high pressure and anxiety from his parents to reach and even surpass the bar that was set and sometimes even rising further, he developed selective mutism. When this developed his mother was frantic with finding out what was wrong with him, she went to numerous doctors which all gave her the same answer. She eventually accepted it and did everything she could to try and 'fix' it which is also a big factor in why he was given so much freedom. His mother also over accommodates him quite a lot which is why he tends to not want to be seen with her as it's rather embarrassing, especially when she makes a scene. His selective mutism also only really dissipates when he's relaxed with a person in an area he's relaxed in, in a area alone and away from everyone where his anxiety melts away (example; his car, his room, the loft, outside in the wilderness, and out on the water), wearing a full face mask, extremely high anger which runs over his anxiety (otherwise he stays quiet and seethes internally), and when he can't suppress a stupid joke. Otherwise he just writes out his words/expresses them, examples on where/what he uses; phone text, charades, refrigerator letters, paper and pen, white/chalk board, basically anything.

Later in life when he finishes high school his family moves over to Stilwater for his fathers job. ( His sister coming with as she didn't like the city they were living in before and she didn't want to move out just yet.) This is where Playa finally gets to move out and he finds a listing for the Loft we see in game. (I really like this Loft for some reason so it's Playas now). He also decided to do some baby sitting and he babysits two little girls that dress him up like a princess and forces him to do tea parties and what not, which is why he keeps his hair long so that the two girls can decorate it. Those two little girls are also some of the few people he actually speaks too after a little while of babysitting them.

While he's there he ends up first joining the Vice kings (ironically enough considering how close the saints are) because someone invited him to join after he accidentally saves a few of their asses a few times. While he was with them he found that many of the members used him to buy things but he was primarily used as a scapegoat, many members leaving him to clean up their messes especially when they found out he was from money. After a few months of this he eventually had enough and left when he was almost killed, essentially faking his own death to the gang. With that little experience he did his best to just stay away from the gangs until he was saved by Julius, which then made Playa reconsider and join up with the saints.

okay sorry for another yapper post but i wanna talk about diego (from the umbrella academy). it’s like the directors/writers/whoever tf couldn’t decide if they wanted him to partake in machismo culture OR just be a certified bonehead but one thing about him that’s made abundantly clear by like the opening scene is how badly he wants to protect people and i think that’s very sweet. granted, it gets less sweet when he gets egoistical about it and refuses to let other people help (or when he straight up is doing more harm than good), but idk recently i’ve been focusing on the positives. like even in s4 when all the characters were getting assassinated (literally and metaphorically) one scene that stuck out to me was when he was hellbent on being the only driver throughout their road trip so the others could sleep and even though i think it’s so corny whenever men slap themselves i still thought that was a cute lil moment. speaking of the road rip in s4 i don’t think i mentioned this in the longpost i did but what the fuck was up with all that vomit it’s like they let the total drama island writers take over the script that was fucking disgusting

anyway. as i was saying. as increasingly annoying diego has been throughout the seasons i think its sweet that he’s very obviously a protector. ig u could say that’s what he’s trained for but that’s not quite what i mean, like luther is protective too but i think a big part of his development was learning how to back off. i wish diego would have learned to back off too in the sense that he’s more willing to accept help from other people. atp im not so sure what im trying to say :/ hopefully this makes sense though

Love how it's mostly pretty ones and then there's clodsire. Even tho I got it in my team since the beginning of violet do I continuously forget its name bc I just call it by the nickname blobby (one of the rare times I didn't spend hours googling the perfect nickname but it nonetheless is a perfect one)

Reg nicknames I even write all down so I only spend decades once for each pkmn (unless I don't like the prev one anymore). Need to update that someday since it's mostly old revolution ones but hey. Blaze do I use for arcanine nowadays more and ninetails got others. Gardevoir got soteria nowadays which I prefer more. Etc.

Okay okay so like??? Mister Mushroom and Hero stick together for 90% of the storylines. They need therapy together ngl

Mister Mushroom is a very interesting character because he’s the only mushroom person left in the world setting of the book. He was hidden away when he was a small child during the forest devastation. The forest devastation was a sort of god brought forest rotting, and it was very very deadly. Many of the forest critters and residents were being consumed by the rot, and were dying as a result. He was living a peaceful life with his entire family until the rot took over his home, slowly closing in on the mushroom community…

Now, the Forest Rot were like monsters. Big, twisted monsters, made of black, rotting wood, shaped like deformed wolves with jagged teeth. They would bite into their prey, and if the rotten creatures didn’t kill them right then and there… the rot would spread through their body, infecting the wound and poisoning the blood. And it would be a slow and awful death. And it wasn’t curable until the very end of the devastation.

90% of the forest residents died in those terrible years… with Miss Sunshine and Miss Deer surviving, alongside Mister Mushroom. All the other mushroom folk died because of the rot, and Mister Mushroom was too nervous to leave his little mushroom house... because the rot is scary!

So, he's surprised when the Hero knocks on his mushroom door! You see, the Hero had suddenly awoken in the forest with no memories of where she was or how she ended up there... and Mister Mushroom, with his kind heart, decided to grant her shelter from the pouring rain. And then, because it's pouring cats and dogs out there, they talk and get to know each other... and boom! friendship!!

And as for Hero... she doesn't remember where she is or how she got there. And she can't remember where she came from either, so she's kind of... lost. She was following the Narrator's instruction until it began pouring, where he was like "hey go seek shelter" and that's how she met Mister Mushroom so yeah,,,

She's following the Narrator because she's looking for answers and he said he'd give them to her if she did this quest for him which. it is much easier than it sounds lmao
