soo hes houyi, husband of chang'e (moon goddess). he misses his immortal moon wife bc hes a mortal guy :( BUT chang'e wants him to stay alive. so somehow (still figuring this bit out) she revives him every time he dies, which gives him those funny little glowing marks 😼

but he also gets some memory loss from being revived so his brain is like. rlly foggy all the time.
