Welcoming New Leadership: A Glimpse into University Officer Induction and Socialization

As the academic year unfolds, universities across the globe gear up for a significant event: the induction of newly elected student officers. This turnover ceremony marks the beginning of a new era, where fresh faces step into leadership roles, ready to guide their fellow students through the challenges and obstacles that lie ahead.

What will happen if we choose an unresponsive and inattentive leader for our university? Well, our school environment will probably be chaotic, right? What specific measures are we taking to prevent these occurrences? As a student and a member of this institution, I suggest that we should select aspiring leaders who foster positive relationships among individuals and encourage open communication to address the needs of the students.

Moving forward, fellow students and instructors gathered in the quadrangle to witness the induction of the newly elected officers and to interact with the people on the ground.

Through the induction ceremony, we also witnessed the farewell speech given by our former USC president, which made the crowd emotional due to its breathtaking nature. This event not only symbolizes a transfer of power but also signifies a dedication to promoting positive change within the university community. It is a formal event where the newly elected officers are officially sworn into their positions, assuming the responsibility of representing the student body.

In celebrating this momentous ceremony amidst a Halloween party, I wore a cute outfit inspired by Wednesday Addams' iconic look from the movie "Wednesday." This outfit perfectly matched my charisma, and I chose it to embrace the spooky season with a black and white theme.

Everyone walks on the red carpet to lay out a welcoming path for the arrival of every student attending the event. People walk the red carpet as a means of making their presence known and feeling connected to the audience and judges. It's a moment to be remembered.

After that memorable moment, the intermission number then comes in place. Where I am one of the performer of the Pop Dancers. All our efforts been paid off since the performance turn out good and we are honored to be 3rd place in the Awarding.

Later that evening, the emcee announced that the haunted house is now open to the audience. The event creates an atmosphere that keeps the energy of the Crimson. However, everyone could only go in groups of 5 people per trip. My friends and I decided to take the risk and venture into the spooky house, unaware of what awaited us inside.

The ambiance of the entrance itself, you can already feel the chill of the place.

Upon entering, the place is filled with the echoes of my fellow students' screams. Looking around, I've noticed how they turned these modern rooms into a spooky place in such a limited time. Well, I assume that they probably came up with different ideas when deciding how to decorate this spooky place.

Our university may appear small, but we still manage to organize events for the Crimsons to enjoy. It's not all about huge buildings, fancy libraries, or even spacious rooms. It's the people - the faculty, instructors, and skilled teachers of this institution - who provide a great learning environment for quality education among learners.

Everyone represents different genres when it comes to creating creative Halloween outfits. Some people choose to portray characters, which often leads to winning awards for their amazing costumes that perfectly fit the theme of the event.

The night isn't over yet. Loud music bombarded the quadrangle ground, signaling everyone to enjoy the rest of the night. As the night descends, we pour our hearts and souls into singing along to the vibrant music, while the light dances through the shadows of the sky.

We enjoyed the rest of the event as if there were no tomorrow. We simply mind our own business and be ourselves throughout the night.

"This memorable event will always be remembered as the year comes to an end." I will forever treasure my college journey at Western Mindanao State University (WMSU), which I can describe as the coolest and most unforgettable Halloween experience I've ever had.

Embracing Leadership: Induction and Socialization at WMSU-ESU PAGADIAN

At WMSU- ESU PAGADIAN, something exciting recently happened! The students who will be leading the Student Council officially took on their roles in a special ceremony performed on November 03, 2023. They promised to do their best to help everyone and make the university a great place.

Following the formal part, there was an extended event where everyone had the opportunity to socialize. The induction held great significance. That was the moment the newly elected Student Council members vowed to uphold the core principles of Western Mindanao State University and act as capable leaders. They paid attention to and took advice from the previous leaders.

As all of this was going on, former USC president Joel Saavedra gave a heartfelt speech to the Crimsons, expressing his gratitude to each and every one of them for helping him lead the entire campus during the time he served. His dedication to leading all of the Crimsons in WMSU – ESU PAGADIAN was exceptional and commendable, yet the time has come that new leaders must be appointed to replace the former leaders.

As soon as the oath was taken, celebrations began! All the students, new and old, had the opportunity to socialize throughout the celebration. There were tons of laughs, entertainment, and music. It made everyone feel more at ease and warm with one another. It was also an opportunity to observe that the members of the Student Council are just ordinary students with a significant task.

Like a sports team, the induction and celebration showed that while being a leader is a serious work, it's also about having fun with others. Together, the new Student Council and everyone else are prepared to improve the university. This year seems to be filled with growth, learning, and improving Western Mindanao State University – ESU PAGADIAN for all.

Halloween party and Induction of USC officers

This is my first Halloween party at WMSU. I thought that it was just a simple party, but then when I arrived at school, I was shocked because other students have Halloween attire and also happy to see them in their costumes that are full of effort.

Excitement was in the air as ghosts arrived at our location. The lavish costumes and decorations that turned the venue into a ghostly wonderland made the Halloween celebration a visual feast. This night we also have a dance and singing competition where other students show off their talents.

At the oath-taking ceremony, participants vowed to uphold a common goal and duty. It was a time for introspection and commitment, highlighting the principles that unite our school campus.

After the oath-taking and the awarding, this is the time we all socialized with each other, dancing on the same floor and also knowing our schoolmates. (Party²)

This event came to an end, leaving behind a tapestry of recollections that were both serious and joyful as well as frightening. Together, the oath-taking ceremony and Halloween party built an experience that went beyond isolated moments to create a story of connection, community, and shared purpose. These memories will endure till the next events take place, bearing witness to the colorful fabric of our community at Western Mindanao State University (ESU-PAGADIAN CAMPUS, ZAMBOANG DEL SUR).
