3rd Day of the 16th WKC: The grand finale. The Men's Team Matches. What a way to end the tournament. You could feel the intensity and the pressure from the contestants. As the tournament progressed to the finals between long-time rivals, Japan and Korea, everyone in the crowd held their breath to see who would emerge victorious. In the end, the home nation took the win much to the delight of the home crowd but that victory was not an easy one. Korea put up quite a fight but in the end, the results spoke for itself. Personally for me, it was a great experience and there is much for me to do before even thinking of competing at this level but this journey has been eye-opening, humbling yet enjoyable. 3rd and Final Day of the WKC. The Men's Teams Matches. The place is jam packed with spectators, not just from Japan but from pretty much everywhere in the world. The bouts so far have been intense, blindingly fast and hard hitting. The world is a big place and to see them at this level is humbling and inspiring. Long way to go for myself to reach these levels but one day for sure 😄 #ateacherslife #wkc16 #budokan #kendoislife #alhamdulillah #motivation

Day 2 of the 16th WKC: Women's Individual and Team matches today. These matches had everything from aggressiveness, drama, injuries and not forgetting its fair share of kendo action. Whoever said that girls can't fight better review that statement again because that definitely isn't the casw today. #ateacherslife #wkc16 #kendoislife #motivation

Day 1 in Japan: Super hectic day, landing in Haneda Airport, rushing to Tachikawa for a very special kendo session with some very great people. Had the opportunity to train in a local dojo with some incredible senseis from Japan, Germany and Malaysia. It was an amazing time, very humbling and yet very, very enjoyable. 😁 Very excited to see what the next day brings. Added bonus was catching up with one amazing man after 2 years of not seeing each other. #alhamdulillah #wkc16 #ateacherslife #kendoislife
