“how do you draw with a wii mote?” Q&A

wonderful question, this is the result of a 10 year old child gaining access to a wii and being too poor to buy many games for it, and becoming determined to learn the device anyway

i never had a fancy wii tablet to draw on . just my wii mote...... people were asking how i mixed the colors, you zoom in really close in the Fun! section and use the ink dropper icon in between colors and paint / repeat until you get your desired color

@ghoulgirl​ i draw in the wii photo channel editor by resting my wrist in a comfortable position and moving my hand in small motions like i’m using a paint brush against a canvas on an easel. 

you can zoom in/out/scroll like an actual art program for added precision.

unfortunately i do suffer from carpal tunnel. i would not be a brain surgeon legally BUT i do have the license for malpractice .

i plan to do another drawing with it some time and perhaps take a video to show the process .... we’ll see. if i can get an sd card i can upload my wii photo channel art in HQ online

like if you puch a card with 00000000 with the bevelled corner in the default upper right position you get a perfectly generic cube, but if you turn the card UPSIDE DOWN so the bevelled corner is in the bottom left the alchemiter reads it as a different code and produces idk a perfectly generic sphere or something. and if you turn the card backwards that doubles the number of items the code 00000000 could produce again. potentially there's even an upgrade to the designix/alchemiter that allows you to put cards in sideways, octupling the total number of items that can be created from one code. and that's not even mentioning the insane number of potential && combinations of cards in different orientations, which according to my calculator ="Math ERROR". maybe there's even an eventual upgrade where one can alter the shape of the cards themselves, in which case even the sky is no longer the limit.

idk food for thought, thought your programmer brain might appreciate this a little. also before i thought of the sideways cards upgrade i thought the four viable orientations of a card fit weirdly well with your "rule of fours" theory.

I like this. I'm 100% sure that 'hidden’ codes exist - and locking some codes behind alchemiter upgrades would prevent early Players from stumbling upon them by chance, or getting them from GameFAQs. 

We've seen the obfuscated code for the Sburb disc, and now that I’m actually looking at it, it does sort of look like it’s trying to display landscape on portrait - as though all you need to do is zoom out a little, and flip the card to the side...

Really, there are many ways to expand the system. you'll never be able to expand it enough to contain all possible items, but you could add new unlockable ‘tiers’ of captcha codes to make it harder to cheat.

if this is about the liveblog, mostly because i make a joke that i think is funnier than it is and want more likes than it's actually worth, so i reblog it from the sideblog @onceandfutureoshainspector to the main blog @wizardlyghost

I don't know who out there needs to hear this but your brain does this amazing little -shift- when something seems to make sense in a new way and it's very addictive and euphoric and totally reliant on the *appearance* of logical conclusions, not actual objective truth

So that bizarre transcendent high you get when the idea of "reality shifting" or "crystal vibrations" or like. Whatever the hell that "manifesting" shit is, when it -clicks- for you, and its like suddenly the entire fabric of reality suddenly makes sense?

That's not a sign that you've unlocked the intangible secrets of the universe. That's a sign that your brain is hardwired to find and exploit logical shortcuts and loopholes and patterns and it thinks it just found one, so you got hopeful and excited and wondrous and received a dopamine hit on top.

And really, I'd just keep my thoughts to myself, except I've experienced these false-positive "revelations" before too, and looking around there is a concerning amount of fake-spititual not-medicine junk being pushed around, opening people up to predatory cults and pyramid schemes that are doing very, very well and it's really fucking scary
