Not an Aro-culture-is thing but I do have a question you might be able to answer? Is there an aromantic/asexual term for this: AroAce but if I wasn’t I would be gay? It might just be homoplatonic or homoaesthetic but idk if there was a term for it that relates to being AroAce. Thanks! <3

i wish there was a cure for the sheer genuine dread I feel for summer like I really can’t stand it
#well. there is a cure and that’s the ability to travel. especially to places with enjoyable bodies of water. and I don’t even mean that far#I mean like literally a two hour drive west or east (the ocean or Lake Tahoe)#where it’s a bit cooler And there’s enjoyable bodies of water (enjoyable in different ways of course)#but alas!!!!!!!!!#I can’t fucking drive. going anywhere is expensive. I have to abide by work hours and the work hours of my friends. and that’s if they’re#even in town (the one who usually drives for example is going on a 3 week trip to Italy until the end of june) and I don’t have many friends#at all#my friends don’t really like spending money on anything. etc etc etc#it’s not fucking easy#so all summer is is just.#unbearable 100+ degree weather where every day is the same bleak dry desert nothingness#I don’t live on my own still and my mother basically refuses to use the air conditioning unless it’s like 95+ degrees outside. and even then#it’s for short periods of time.#I can’t go anywhere without ending up soaked in sweat and feeling like I want to fucking die#my heat tolerance has gotten so fucking bad it makes me feel sick#it’s fucking awful and I don’t know what to do about it#I’ll inevitably be walking in that hell weather anyway to get to the bus and go to work so woohoo#kibumblabs#I really wish I had the freedom and funds and friends to enjoy summer. the idea of a capsule wardrobe is so fucking bonkers to me cuz they're like
"you should only have 30-60 items"
and you're like wow that sounds tough
amd then you find out that that's PER SEASON and also doesn't include underwear and socks and pajamas and whatnot
and suddenly you're just like??? that's just a normal fucking amount of clothes???
they make it sound like it's some Revolutionary Minimalist Idea but it's just how normal people dress i think
"every item should be versatile and work in more than one outfit!" is that not how most people shop? like, we don't have money for one-outfit-wonders; that shirt better look good with at least two pairs of pants that we own or it's not worth it
#eliot posts#it's almost challenging in the winter i guess#cuz then each outfit has like 2-3 shirts 1-2 pants boots coat gloves hat etc#but in the summer? shirt shorts shoes and maybe a sunhat and/or accessory. maybe a jacket or cardigan for going to air conditioned places#zero challenge at all to pare that down#but yeah like i didn't even plan my wardrobe very Intentionally#and i definitely don't have that sleek minimalist aesthetic most capsule wardrobe ppl promote#and yet i hardly ever feel short on clothes#(unless i have gone A Very Long Time without doing laundry and am LITERALLY running out)#and i've gotten many compliments on ny sense of style#like i think i could stand to add a few more items to my wardrobe#specifically varying the cuts. bc i already have a nice variety in colours#...i almost wonder if the lack of colour makes it MORE difficult to keep a reasonable number of clothes.#it's hard to make outfits look UNIQUE if it's all fuckin beige
