basics:

— ✧ roxanna gallio was originally born in what would later become cuba in the early 1200′s. — ✧ her original parents had made a deal with a sorcerer that promised to make sure that their next born child would be blessed with a long life. what they didn’t know was that the sorcerer had plans to take the baby as soon as she turned 25. — ✧ while he had been true to his word and made sure that roxanna would have a long life, he also failed to divulge that she would have eternal life and age very slowly until she reached the physical age of her late twenties/early thirties. — ✧ the catch to her having immortality was that she could still be “killed”. — ✧ if someone where to murder her or if she died from a freak accident, roxanna would be reborn. waking up a few hours later completely healed but lacking in ninety-percent of her memories from her previous life. — ✧ the older she gets the more memories slowly come back to her, but it’s usually in bits and pieces that she has to figure out. — ✧ eventually roxanna and the sorcerer that helped create her ended up in france in the 1850′s. he made a deal with an old friend of his, ( aka reine and oliver’s family) exchanging roxanna for an artifact in their possession. 

— ✧ from there she grew up alongside other children, knowing happiness and content for the first time in centuries. — ✧ of course the happiness didn’t last as things spiraled out of control leading to fire that killed oliver and reine. the fire also “killed” roxie for the first time, triggering her immortal curse. — ✧ as the sole survivor of the fire, roxanna was taken in by cleo gallio who was sure that roxanna was immortal and she wouldn’t have to worry about losing another child. — ✧ she was able to grow up and find a sense of belonging in the gallio family. — ✧ just kidding. angst is too strong. roxanna was killed yet again by cleo’s mother selene (aka the best grandmother) — ✧ with cleo grieving her daughters death, selene hid the “reborn” roxanna away for as long as she could.  — ✧ but with emotions and bits of her memory flooding back to her, roxanna began to search for the woman she kept seeing in her memories. eventually that led to her coming to paragon to find cleo.

— ✧ roxanna is a very curious person, which is why she decided to work at the library to learn all she could. — ✧ due to the fact that she doesn’t truly know who she is, roxie tends to judge people solely on the way the interact with her and not because of their lineage. — ✧ most emotions and actions confuse her still as it’s only been 25 years since she last “died.” — ✧ slowly but surely she’s regaining memories of her previous lives and the people that she used to be close to.
