I suppose introductions are in order. Hi! Floofy here. 31 year old genderfluid fluffball from Norway just trying to figure out who I am and what I want to do in this world. This is a nsfw blog where I will most likely post some stuff now and then of my own making or more, reblog things I find pretty, funny, mesmerising and other fancy words for stuff I like. I have a wide variety of interests when it comes to kinky stuff, so do not be surprised if you encounter anything from wholesome cute content to more cnc based kink. I have open dms (I think I put the settings correct at least), but I might be slow to respond to dms as I am very forgetful at times and IRL sadly does need to take priority lol. I used to have a tumblr profile before, but I deleted it after I burnt out and needed a fresh start. Consent is really important to me and while I love cnc, kinky gaslighting and stuff that seem very "intense", it is within the sphere of kink good lords. Outside of kink we all deserve to be treated like individual fellow humans ^^ . Below the cut contains my thoughts and feelings about certain issues that I've seen recently that I feel like need to be addressed including hate/bullying, the new Neteyam & Lo'ak rp blogs, and the general fandom as a whole.

Over the past several months, and especially over these past several days, it's come to my attention that we as a fandom need to make some things abundantly clear.

I was a silent reader for a long time. I love Avatar and this fandom with my entire heart and I wanted nothing more than to be an active part of it and member of the community, but the thing that stopped me for a long time was seeing how hateful people can be and I wasn't sure if I could handle it. Obviously, I decided that my happiness and sharing my love for Avatar and the characters with other people who love it as much as I do is more important than any nasty messages I might get and I couldn't be happier with my decision. I think I can safely say that most of us here in the fandom can say the same (although I'm sure the feeling of happiness comes with endless ebbs and flows for all of us).

That being said, the amount of sheer bullshit that I've been seeing on here is ridiculous.

The amount of hate messages that I've had to witness my mutuals receive is unacceptable. The amount of hounding as to why someone unfollowed this person, why aren't they interacting with this person anymore, why would someone write something like this, why won't you write this, is crazy to see. I've seen racist comments, I've seen homophobic comments, and I've seen people being called a pedophile wayyyy to often now.

This is Tumblr. We are responsible for our own media consumption. We cultivate our own media experience.

That means authors write what they enjoy regardless of content as long as they are responsible and tag the work correctly. You as the reader are responsible for heeding those warnings.

This means that if two people who used to interact or follow each other all of a sudden don't or someone gets blocked, it is no one's business as to why it happened. They don't owe you an explanation and there's no need to publicize drama. Do not go into their inboxes asking for details because all that does is feed the flames.

This is supposed to be people's happy place. Our safe space. And instead it seems like there's something new happening every single day.

At this point, we've all seen the rp blogs that have popped up. I'm not generally someone who enjoys rp so I didn't interact, but I saw a ton of my mutuals and others having a great time with them. Despite me not liking rp, it was exciting to see at first. A live persona of one of my most beloved characters interacting with fics that I love? Yes, it's definitely exciting to see!

But then it got not so exciting to see. The responses seemed solely sexual and out of character for Neteyam, a lot of them were really dark and borderline violent. I like dark fics, and I love dark Neteyam. But there are warnings to every dark fic and you go into them knowing what to expect. For a blog that's rp-ing a character that's not canonically like that, it was concerning to see.

We've had issues in this fandom in the past with predators. And despite us all being adults here (at least we should all be), you can never be too careful when it comes to the internet. I am NOT saying that the people running these blogs are predators, but certain things I've seen have raised some flags to me. Rp can be really dangerous when people don't know who's behind the character, especially if things are sexual. Since then, both blogs have created 'About Me' sections which I think is good. So that's something I appreciate.

However, we've also had the opposite problem in which minors interact with us and our content. It's a huge problem that we are constantly trying to battle because while seeing/reading sexual content can be harmful for those who are underage, it's can also get us into a lot of trouble for interacting with minors even if we don't know they're underage. When the accusation that the rp accounts were minors came out, they were sent asks to confirm. One responded respectfully and one, in my opinion, responded not so respectfully. If you are ever asked if you are a minor, don't get pissed about it. It's an important question and you should understand and respect its importance. Just clarify.

I'm saying all this not because I don't think people should interact with these blogs if you want to. It's 100% up to you and I know a lot of people were having fun with it. You're all adults, do what you think is best. And I do think it would be really nice to have more guys in the community, whether they rp or not. My issue with them is more about safety than anything else.

Now back to the hate comments. For any issues I might have had with the Neteyam blog (again, no hate, just my own thoughts), I only ever saw the Lo'ak blog being respectful. Yet, I still saw someone on their actual blog, not under anon, telling him "can't you just leave?". Under no circumstances is it okay to say this to another person. Any one who is an active member of this community who posts fics or the like KNOWS what its like to receive hateful comments like this and you think its okay to say something like this to someone else? No way. I'm sure you know what it feels like to get comments like that and you decided to be nasty to another person anyway. You should know better. Anyone who can say something mean to or about another person should be ashamed of themselves.

For as much as I love this fandom, this is insane that I actually have to say this.

I'm feeling a bit calmer now. I was quite hurt by that anon from last night.

To explain my reaction, for anyone who is confused, I am a person. I'm sitting here on my computer or phone to have fun and write stories with others, the same as everyone else here. This is my first time trying to RP on Tumblr, and for some of you it may be your first time trying to RP at all. To which I say, I'm so glad you are! Genuinely, roleplay is a great way to make friends and to explore all sorts of stories and themes safely and supportively.

Additionally, this is my first time writing Slade. I never expected so many people to enjoy my writing, and listen, I love that he's so generally terrible, and that I seem to write him well enough that you want to rally against him, that you love to hate him, that you send love to the Dick who's agreed to be Slade's Renegade. It's sweet. It's intense. But it's supposed to be fun.

Whoever did send that anon may have just been caught up in the intensity of having Slade seem like such a big threat, and wanted to try and ding his ego, or something to that effect. I don't know their intent. But as a person writing for both my enjoyment and yours, it was like a punch to the face. It was incredibly hurtful, since firstly, I don't think I've written him that way, and secondly, that just… isn't something you send. It's a serious thing to say or imply, it can be easily twisted out of context, and shouldn't be slung around. I would also like to state that I have checked in several times with people who are either directly part of the story or were emotionally affected by it to make sure they were all right to continue. I know it's an intense character, an intense storyline. I genuinely don't want people feeling uncomfortable or scared. I want people to enjoy what I make, like any creative, in a safe and healthy way. And I also want to be happy and comfortable.

So there's that.

As such, I want to offer something to you all- a poll. I am asking you all to consider the options carefully and genuinely, and vote honestly. Please, please be honest. Because I won't be dealing with that sort of thing again. A large part of roleplay is considering both the characters and the people behind them, and how your writing can affect them. I never expected Slade to be more than a brief thing, and thanks to everyone's interactions that grew and changed. I did appreciate it, and at least up until that anon, it was fun. I would like it to be fun again. This is also to either subdue or confirm my anxiety, so I'm sorry if this seems dramatic, but it will help me. So, let's vote.

1. I continue to roleplay as Slade, the storyline that has been started continues. I request if you are not comfortable with him and this choice wins, you unfollow for your own comfort.

2. I set Slade on the high shelf for an undetermined amount of time. The storyline is cut off, blogs that were more personally involved return to more normal posting if they so choose. Until more people can learn to separate the fiction from the person behind, no more big bad villain to hate. I will only RP JJ, or other non-villainous characters.

3. I stop roleplaying here on Tumblr entirely. If for whatever reason you think I shouldn't be roleplaying here at all, and this vote wins, I'll stop. No more Slade, no more JJ, no more of my ideas. I'll also request that if you don't want me around you at all, you DM @littlefaefeather with the blogs you want me to block or unfollow.

I do intend to take this day as an RP-lite day for my own sake, but if there's anything you really want to RP or include Slade or JJ or my Robin blog in, you can still @ them for it, I'll be checking in every so often. Thanks for reading all this. 🧡💛💚💙💜

THE ORIGINS

cjrp stared with @/plussheep (aka ruler, owner of @/thrulerofeverything) @/gaignunkukai (aka feenie, owner of @/nothings-wholey) @/demo-3 (aka simon, owner of @/egoistic-queer) and yours truly (aka bendy/apollo, former owner of @/not-the-organ)! it began mostly with small lore chunks that were similar to an arg- lots of ciphers, hints and clues. eventually, though, something happened that completely changed the course of cjrp.

Before interacting with my blog, I need to put down the law[?], So to speak.

This blog isn't going to be too lit heavy, I am doing this on my off time from work and real life stuff. Sometimes I will respond in detail, sometimes I will not. Depends on my energy level. I'm in my 20's, please keep this in mind!

Good day, everybody (I hope that's a proper greeting). My name is Barnabas Bennett, I– I am a botanist, and I seem to be rather lost at the moment. I cannot say I know much about my current situation, only that I was at a friend's home and now I am here. Wherever here is, of course. I do recognise a few buildings as being in London, but this place appears entirely different, as do the people. Perhaps the buildings I know are there as a mockery of my world. Before you go any further, you should know Che’nya is not alone in his Wood. He has kidnapped convinced his best friend, AR, to live with him! Where Che’nya goes, AR goes. AR is as much a part of the Tulgey Wood and the world of Twisted Wonderland as Che’nya himself is, so do not be surprised when AR and Che’nya interact!

AR is both a character and the roleplayer. How can AR be the roleplayer for Che’nya if they’re also a character? Well, that certainly is an interesting question, isn’t it? I suppose you’ll have to read further to find out. You were warned that things are different around here…

While all of Wonderland is Mad, there are rules here. The Queen of Hearts has made sure of it! Very loudly! And even someone as chaotic as Che’nya listens to the Queen most of the time. But these are AR’s rules and everyone is expected to follow them, even Che’nya!

1️⃣ There is an actual person behind this account. Remember that and be kind and respectful. If you break the rules you will either be ignored, told the rule/s you broke and directed to it/them, or outright blocked.

9️⃣ Be a decent human being to everyone - not just the person behind this blog. Racism, homophobia, misogyny, transphobia, etc. are not tolerated here. MAPs and pro-shippers are also unwelcome. While Che’nya is very tactile and highly physically affectionate, the furthest he will go is kissing, nuzzling, cuddling, etc. He may also do some cat things such as scenting, kneading, kitten licks, nipping, etc., but that is as far as I am comfortable with.

6️⃣ This is a multiship blog. Which means that while Che’nya can date multiple people, those relationships will not intersect with each other, belonging in their own pocket realities. Che’nya, being self aware, is unique in that he is aware of all his partners in every reality and is honest with every partner about the situation. So, to him, it’s more like he’s in a polyamorous polycule. But, for the purpose of the blog itself, because his partners will ever interact as fellow S/Os, this blog is multiship.

5️⃣ Other rp blogs and OCs are absolutely welcome! However, if it’s your character’s first time talking to Che’nya, especially an OC, I ask that you either give a brief explanation as to who they are at the bottom of the ask you send or provide a link to an intro post that I can read so I know who I’m talking to and Che’nya can act accordingly. I am not going to hunt down information about your character if you are wanting to interact with me. It would be different if I was reaching out to you. A summary can be as simple or as long as you like. Here’s an example of a short one provided by @castaway-achlys:

Please refrain from god modding. Che’nya is my character. I do not appreciate it when you try to force him to act like you want him to, you assume he will react/act in a certain way, or you try to force your headcanons onto the character I am roleplaying. This is not the canon Che’nya, nor is this your version of Che’nya. This is my version of Che’nya.

Bouncing off of “no god modding,” people may try to complain that my Che’nya is OP because I let him metagame and seem to let him powerplay. (I will not provide links to these terms - if you don’t know them I think the link previously provided will have been enough to tell you what to do to fix that 😂) While I can’t argue with the metagaming, as Che’nya is self aware, I can argue with powerplay.

Che’nya is not all powerful… unless he is in his Tulgey Woods, where he is the Ultimate Game Master and controls everything. But that does not mean he doesn’t have weaknesses, even there. And once OUT of the Wood, Che’nya is NOT all powerful. He is still strong, but he is no longer the Ultimate Game Master. The key would be managing to catch the cat. Which would be incredibly difficult, but it could be done. This is why Che’nya does not often leave the Tulgey Wood. He is well aware of his vulnerability.

Then there is the fact that, even if he is very powerful, enough to even warp reality at times… he has also managed to get his head stuck in a teapot, summoned marshmallows and skewers to roast them but complained he had no chocolate or graham crackers so he couldn’t make s’mores, and has run face-first into walls more than once.

He may be Powerful, but he is also Mad and Silly and that can make him Stupid at times. It would be no fun if he was truly all powerful all the time.

Hey…I don’t know where to begin with this…I feel like I’m being a bother, but someone I thought was supposed to be my father lied to me and betrayed my trust, I have a dog but me and my mother had to leave him and go live in an apartment, we had to leave her with him since she was to hyperactive to take and be in an apartment, she died to months ago, my dog I had since I was 9 died at age 7, and he didn’t tell me, how she died I’m not sure nor do I want to know since the information could destroy me mentally, I’m feeling overwhelmed right now, he’s been spamming my phone and freaking out because I’m choosing to ignore him, he’s done nothing but bring me pain, there’s something wrong with that man….he doesn’t know that I know about my dog dying by his hands and I feel partially guilty by my choice to ignore him since my mom has to go deal with him now…there’s so much going on right now I feel drained and empty

Hi anon, this is the mod of @emotionally-clumsy-soldier filling in for Ro (the mod of this blog). I'm really sorry you're going through this, but this is an account Ro runs for fun. When they started this account I imagine they were hoping they could just provide some gentle comfort to people having a little bit of a rough time. But at the end of the day, Ro is a minor, you are a complete stranger, and there seems to be a pattern of people (or god forbid, the same person, like I think it is) continuously pushing the boundaries of the amount of support they are willing to provide.

I don't know who you are. Ro doesn't know who you are. It's not okay for you to abuse that anonymity to force them into a situation where they are pushed into acting as your only line of support. This blog was supposed to be fun and now I am recieving dms from Ro asking me what to do about them because it's just too much. Ro loves to help people whenever they can but at what point does it become their only purpose? At what point does Engie's mod stop becoming a person and start becoming a vent mailbox without will?

Ro won't be accepting anons like this anymore. They will be deleted. It's taking a toll on their mental health and I personally refuse to enable this kind of behavior for the other minors that run blogs like this. This is simply not okay. Do better.

Put less nicely; cut the shit and have the self awareness to realize that you're speaking to a real regular person and not Engineer tf2. Get into therapy or use character.ai. Ro is not here to fill in for your lack of therapy. Stop mistreating rp blog admins. PERIOD.
