Anyone else thinking about the name Andarateia likely being the in-universe equivalent of real world names such as Joshua or Mary? With Andraste being the official Chantry version only used for that specific figure the same way Máire is used as the common name Mary in Irish while Muire is used exclusively for the Virgin Mary
Makes me think about what would be the other religion-derived names in Thedas, considering most cultures in the world lean toward naming their children after holy figures and other things relating to religion
#dragon age#dragon age the veilguard#dragon age veilguard#datv#andarateia cantori#teia cantori#we now have a pretty concrete knowledge about Dalish names [SPOILERS]#with the tendency to name children after certain virtues or concepts being a remnant from when elves were originally spirits#but what about humans#headcanon that Dolores would be a valid and common Antivan name what with Andraste being called the Lady of Sorrow#same for Vittorio/Victor referring to Andraste as the Lady of Perpetual Victory
