6. Has fandom ever made you enjoy a pairing you previously hated?

hmmm I guess the easiest way to answer this is to say that when I was much younger, and maybe even right up until coming back on tumblr, I didn’t multiship at all? Like I didn’t want to imagine Sango or Miroku with anyone else but each other, but now I really love KagSan and InuMir, and to a lesser extent some other Sango ships. And I know exactly when I started to love these other ships and what fanworks sprarked that interest so!

10. Most disliked arc? Why? 

Like… Idk…. Everything with Mouryoumaru was super boring and unnecessary for me…… He had the ugliest character design in existence and it’s like Rumiko could have ended the series feeling a lot less tired and worn so maybe it wouldn’t have felt so rushed by the last few arcs but instead she dragged on for ~100 chapters introducing this villain-of-the-week-except-instead-of-a-week-it’s-forever and spent all this time powering him up, usually via introduction of other villains-of-the-week that he could absorb, leading to more fucking Tessaiga upgrades (and a KOUGA WEAPON jesus who cares) to help counter that, and like you know what? I could say literally anything about this arc and that character and you’d probably believe what I’m saying is canon, because who the fck remembers this arc…. Remember how Ugly McFuckface had flesh-colored bat wings??? Remember how he was the baby’s bitch?? Remember how he captured Sango to lure out Kohaku and remember when ate those two serpent brothers attached at the tail bc that bestowed onto him the power of an “Unbreakable Bond” that Tessaiga could never breach? That all actually happened but u had ur doubts didn’t u

Also ugh I’m sorry but I just detest like every Shippou-centric arc except the fox exams were kind of cute I guess, but u know which one really sucks??? The one with the girl who’s actually like a stinky-ass badger demon but she keeps tricking Shippou into defending her and doing shit for her and like Shippou is so goddamn stupid man….

15. Unpopular opinion about the manga/show?

The Mt Hakurei arc was iconic and perfect. I loved everything about it. I love how Naraku hid himself inside of a mountain crawling with his demons and floating flesh pieces of himself while the outside was presented as sacred and impenetrable by impure forces, posing a real threat to the group and anyone else strong enough to face him, and I love how his personal bodyguards were resurrected mercenary humans whom Naraku knew would really only buy him some time and eventually crumble via outside forces or via each other. I love how Inuyasha thought all of his friends died and he cried, I love how Miroku and Sango were ready to die together, I love love LOVE the St. Hakushin reveal, and I love how Naraku twisted that hate and bitterness to use for himself and how Kikyou freed his soul. I love how the entire arc culminated in Naraku telling Kikyou point blank before piercing through her that guess what, she’s not invincible anymore, and her realizing too late the mistake she made in ever assuming otherwise. It’s brilliant it’s so good!!! I can’t believe people hate this arc I can’t believe some people can be so wrong!!!

17. Instead of XYZ happening, I would have made ABC happen…

Tbh….. To be tbh honest… Honestly……. I would have killed Kohaku. I love Sango so much and I know it would have destroyed her for this to happen, but I don’t think there was a single important death in this series that felt unfair, and this could have been it. There were some really tragic deaths of minor or background characters (remember those little kids holding the decapitated heads of their parents that Goshinki killed??? fuck dude), but as far as major characters, every death was understandable (Kikyou, Kagura, Kanna, etc). Right before Kikyou’s light saved him, Kohaku died after finally gaining the will to live again and being told by Sango to overcome the urge to just end it. I think it would have been braver and unexpected for him to have died right then and there, and it would have ignited something very strong and merciless in Sango, and I would want to see that. 

20. What is the purest ship in the fandom?

KAGSAN!!!! It is 100% the healthiest and purest ship in this entire fandom, they’ve never hurt each other or done anything wrong to each other and it’s just so good. The literal cinnamon roll of ships
