Of all the Final Fantasy games I've finished and love (which is to say I love all the ones I've finished and even the ones I haven't lol. Looking at you XIV.) why must I always become obsessed with the ones with tragic endings?

XII is the outlier and doesn't count.

#aesa rambles #i got my start in ff with x and i eventually found out it was sad #then i dipped my toes into xii but then my dad went overseas for awhile and i wasn't able to keep playing #by the time i got back in xv smacked me over the head with a fucking lead pipe #then comes xvi with a steel chair #imagine my fucking surprise finally finishing xii and then the only deaths were fakeouts or npcs #with death flags so prominent it's a miracle i genuinely didnt ssee it coming #squenix can we go back to happy endings next time? just for a little bit? that was fun
