I was thinking about unmasking and how Talia unmasked Bruce the first time she saw him, but also I’m like stuck on that quote with Koriand’r telling Dick (who is dressed as Batman) about it not mattering what mask he wears because she knows his soul. To see Dick in so many mantles and just see Dick Grayson the person. Like not upholding Dick to any of those pressures he puts on himself and just... like I feel like a writer could have done something great with it. Like here with me you rest. #with bruce and talia there is kinda that doomed element bc they Are dedicated to the roles they have to play #but kory comparatively refuses to be doomed. like ironically she may be even more emblematic of talia's earlier philosophies #than talia ends up being herself by the time she's steeped herself in filth to do some iota of good #freedom is so impt to kory and she grasps it very fiercely. dick doesn't even believe he has a right to it #bc he denies his own personhood. tragique tm #actually let me add something else this makes his desperation to get married even funnier #like he has so few things in his life grounding him to something outside of vigilantism lmao #no wonder he's desperate to cement this one thing that feels real and not somehow artificially cultivated to fulfill some greater purpose #outbox
