The rookie is determined to sit up, reaching out like he could drag Chris to Claire through sheer force of will now that they've met, and Chris has to place a firm hand on his chest to keep him from rising. "Tell me she made it."

They stare at each other. Chris feels his heart break and reform in his chest.

He's lying there, displaced in time, bleeding with an infected gunshot wound, and he's asking after Claire.

It's so Leon that it hurts. - Two younger versions of Leon Kennedy get stuck in 2015. It goes about as well as you'd expect.

"Steady, Kennedy. Heard of it?"

"I have, actually, yeah."

Leon finally gets the front door open and he and Chris go spilling inside, Leon barely managing to keep the dogs back with one leg as he fumbles to close and lock the door again. Chris is wavering up the stairs already, leaning heavily on the banister as Leon divests himself of both sets of keys, both wallets, and his dress shoes. He hangs his suit jacket on the newel because he doesn't care about it and then follows Chris up as quickly as he can, just in case the guy falls and cracks his head open.

Chris is in the bedroom, swaying a little as he works at the tiny buttons on his dress shirt. Leon keeps an eye on him as he strips, getting down to his own boxers and dipping into the attached bathroom to brush his teeth. Chris's he doesn't bother with, thinking that it can be the man's penance for Leon's unexpected DD assignment at the wedding. By the time he spits, wipes his mouth, and goes back, Chris is also down to his boxers with his nicely pressed suit scattered across the room.

Chris looks up from where he's sitting on the edge of the bed and smiles, a little dopey from the alcohol and slightly flushed. "Hey."

It comes out more like heyyyyyy. Leon fights off a snort and flicks the light off, says, "Bed time, big guy."

"Wait, you should put this on. You'll get cold."

Leon humors him, stepping forward so that Chris can pull the hood over his head and hold the body of the sweatshirt in place so Leon can slip his arms into the sleeves. His worn BSAA hoodie is large on Chris, let alone Leon, and it's familiar in both texture, weight, and smell.

"I washed it for you," Chris says helpfully.

Leon kisses him on the forehead and says, "You're going to thank me in the morning for making you drink all that water before we left, okay?"

Chris nods, still smiling, and then crawls under the covers. Leon follows after, not at all surprised when Chris immediately pulls him into an embrace. The man burrows his nose into Leon's hair, inhaling deeply. "You smell good."

"Stole your shampoo this morning," Leon says, jaw cracking and eyes watering with the intensity of the yawn that bisects his sentence. "Shit, I'm tired. You need anything?"

"Just you," Drunk Chris says, which isn't too far off from how Sober Chris says it. "I love you."

"Love you, too. Sleep."

Chris hums a vague assent and drops off, arms tightening around Leon unconsciously. Leon tucks his face against the side of Chris's neck, remembers Claire in her white dress, and imagines another day with him and Chris and wedding bells.

5. What's the first song that comes to mind when you think about them?

It’s gotta be a Queen song honestly. Probably ‘Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy’. :3

15. What's your favorite ship for this character? (Doesn't matter if it's canon or not.)

100% Chreon. That is my live or die ship. I will dabble in the others like Nivansfield or a Chrisker but at the end of the day, it’s Chreon. (That will be on my headstone)

25. What was your first impression of this character? How about now?

Oooh… so, I wasn’t the biggest fan of his originally. I think it’s because I never actually played the original games. I played 2 and then went from there so my OG love was always Leon but when I did eventually play 5, it was after I had played 6 (obv did not play in order) so I was kind of indifferent to him (based off of his interpretation in 6 even tho, I have obv re-evaluated how he was portrayed in 6 and he was def handed the short end of the stick). I really liked him in 5 and then it kind of grew from there. I love him in the movies too so that was a plus (he also kind of reminds me of my brother so I guess that also leads into it).
