BLUE EYED WONDER PT. 2 (Isaac x Witch!SO):
⚫️summary; Days go by and Y/N and Isaac had kept in contact the night of his father’s death even resulting in him running away to her house because he felt safer there.
⚠️warnings; mentions of abuse, Coach Lahey because yes he is a whole ass warning his damn self, Isaac and Y/N mentions of smut or i guess, unprotected sex (WRAP IT BEFORE YOU TAP IT FOLKS!), underage drinking (PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS WITHOUT PARENTAL SUPERVISION OR PERMISSION), sexual intentions, swearing, 18+ ONLY!!! k thx bye.
February 24th, 2011. A day that has been mentally, physically and emotionally imbedded in my life. It was pouring rain so I decided to throw on a cozy movie and make some dinner, I had thought to order in but chose to have some wine while I made my mom’s famous pasta dish she used to make us. In the midst of cooking up some chicken I get a sharp pain in my head, a sign of someone nearby was not okay. I walk over to the door after turning the stove off and abruptly open the door to find a completely soaked Isaac with his hand up to knock.
“Isaac? What are you doing here so late and why di-..” I stopped myself as his sorrow found it’s way into my chest. Empathy is really a bitch. I pull him into the house by his hand and guide him to the couch.
“I.. I didn’t want to bother you or Derek.. I just.. He.. My dad..” His mind was a literal war zone trying to come up with a sentence but before he could finish I already knew. His vividly recent memory shone in my mind and I wrapped my arms around his shoulders. The height difference not so evident while he sat. I slowed my heart rate for him to focus on and stood there calming him for a moment.
Whispering to him that it would all be okay only to result in his cries growing more and more broken, his arms eventually finding their way around my waist as his body weight began to give into the pain. It killed me to see a once so bright and bubbly kid who loved action figures and comic books become such a broken and abused teen. I wished I could’ve ripped his dad’s head off and rid Isaac of the pain sooner. I’m guessing he heard my heartbeat begin to quicken because he lifted his head from my chest and began speaking through sniffles.
“Y/N, you okay? You don’t need to deal with me if it’s too much, I’m so.. I’m sorry, I should leave..” He stood up frantically and I grabbed his hand stopping him from beelining to the door.
“Hey.. Hey.. You are not a burden Isaac.. You are someone who’s been hurt for a long time and you never even deserved it.. Your dad.. He’s sick.. But you? Are a beautiful, loving and undoubtedly loyal person..” My voice trembles on the last few words and Isaac steps closer. Eyes puffy and red, cheeks stained with the agony that he must have felt for so many years on end with no help. He leans in and presses his forehead to mine.
“Why didn’t we meet sooner? Why couldn’t I have told you that I liked you back in middle school?” He asks almost begging the universe for an answer but before I could even take a breath to say anything he replaces his forehead with his lips.
“Why couldn’t I have been aware?” I finally respond, his breath warming my usually cold cheeks as our faces stay centimeters apart.
“Would you hate me if I said I really wish we were naked right now?” He lightens the mood, a trauma response to get over what he had just went through.
“One, I could never hate you. Two, I actually expected it from you sooner but I guess two weeks of finally getting to know one another is enough for me to give in..” I couldn’t even continue speaking before his lips melted into mine. It wasn’t hungry but also wasn’t desperate it was almost natural to us how quickly we gave in.
He starts walking me back to the couch, lips reaching every point he can before he sits and pulls me onto his lap, his hands roaming my body as if they were made for it. In a split second my sweater was on the floor along with his rain soaked pullover and his cold skin met mine.
“Isaac..” He pauses, the only noise in the house was now our pants and the movie that was still playing in the background.
“I’ll stop if you want me to.. I don’t want to force you or rush you into anything but god.. You’re just so beautiful I couldn’t help myself..” His words like poetry, making it harder for me to resist.
“I don’t want to stop but.. Fuck it..” My hands cup his face and this kiss was more passionate. He slides his hands up my bare back unclasping my bra and throwing it on the ground as I fumble with his jeans. He chuckles and stands up to undo them himself and I follow by removing my shorts.
“Jump.” He says and I oblige. He carries me down the hall to my room and instead of tossing me on the bed he lays me down so softly, like he was afraid to break me. He removes his briefs and as I take in the sheer beauty of not only his body but him in general and in the blink of an eye he was hovering over me.
“You can always back out now..”
“I’ve waited forever to even kiss you, Lahey. I’m not waiting any longer.” With that he rips my panties off and his lips trail up my legs, to my breasts, my neck and I notice he slowed his pace down.
“Stop being a tease and fuck me.”
“See Y/N/N, I don’t want to fuck you. I want to feel.. every.. inch.. of.. your body.. and unravel it..” He says between kisses causing a moan to escape my lips.
He slowly makes his way between my legs and lines up with my entrance. Our eyes locking one more time before he slowly thrusts into me. A wave of ecstasy and a sting of pain is all I felt before his hips began to gain a rhythm. The room fills with pants and moans as we give into one another. His hands on my hips gripping tighter by the minute before he swiftly snakes an arm around my waist and lifts me onto his thighs, never slipping out. He hits every spot of pleasure in my body at once and I feel a tight feeling beginning in my stomach. His lips make their way back to my neck as my arms tighten around his shoulders, holding on for dear life.
“Fuck, why didn’t we do this sooner.”
“Shhh, just enjoy it baby.” I moan and the night ensued. Isaac and I had finally given into our bodies and I never wanted it to end. Almost an hour goes by of us edging and teasing the other and his thrusts start becoming sloppier. His deep voice moaning my name into my neck as he picks up the pace only makes my body vibrate with pleasure and soon after he cums deep in me.
“Shit.. That was..”
“Totally worth the wait.” I conclude and he turns over placing a more loving kiss to my lips.
“Totally.” We laid there entangled in each other for what felt like hours until I looked over and the clock read 2am.
“I should get going but, I don’t know if I want to.”
“You can stay the night, or as long as you need.”
“Are you sure?”
“Of course. We could take a hot shower, or bath, put up dinner, or eat dinner if you’re hungry and just be here. Calm.”
“No. Not calm. Safe.” I move the disheveled curls from his forehead which was thinly covered in a layer of sweat and turn onto my side.
“So much for a first date.. I wanted to take you to that nice Italian place in downtown before doing this..”
“There’s always time for that but this was perfect. I mean knowing that I make you feel safe? That’s all I need.” He lays his head on my chest and quickly slips into a deep sleep.
Who knew I would fall for my brother’s beta.. My childhood neighbor.. A guy I had a crush on for years but never said anything to because I wasn’t aware of shit..
The next morning I woke up to an empty bed and I grabbed a sweatshirt from my closet before heading out the kitchen to see Isaac trying to save my previously forgotten meal from the night before. Tiptoeing behind him, I wrap my arms around his torso earning a chuckle from him. He turns around to meet my gaze and leans down to kiss me good morning.
“You know I could hear you right?”
“I grew up in a household full of werewolves, I was never successfully sneaky.” I smile laying my head on his chest.
“You know we have to throw this out right? It’s already going bad. And I will 100% make you dinner or.. try to tonight..”
“Tonight? Mr. Lahey are you proposing we have an actual date?”
“Well Miss Hale, I am. I gotta romance you up before I make you feel as good as I did last night.” His cheeky comment making my face heat up, remembering the events of not even eight hours ago. We spent that day talking, reminiscing and just connecting more as one. And need I say, it was a memory i’ll hold onto forever.
A/N: I AM NOT GOOD AT SMUT BUT I DO LOVE ROMANCE AND I JUST KNOW THESE TWO HAVE NY HEART ALREADY. LIKE PLEASE. SEND HELP. I WANNA MAKE THIS A SERIES. ANYWAYYYY, LMK WHAT YOU THINK AND FEEDBACK IS ALWAYS EMBRACED WITH OPEN ARMS! 🩷

Requested? Yes
Isaac Lahey x witch afab Reader
I didn't know if you wanted pure fluff of smut too so this is pure fluff I think I will add a second Chapter with smut, tonight or tomorrow. If anyone has any ideas what to add please drop them in my inbox <3333
Prompts:
4. "I'm staying. Stop fighting me.”
9. "let me take care of you
The reader thinks Isaac doesn't like her, but he's just awful at showing his feelings.
Since the reader doesn't have healing abilities like the rest of them Isaac never wants them to come with them because it stresses him out too much, he feels the need to protect her and he can’t fight and keep an eye on her at the same time
The reader thinks Isaac sees her as a burden but he is in loooooooove
Challenge: take a shot everytime i wrote Isaac.
Spoiler:
“Don't even start again. Just let me help without complaining for once.”
A small “why” was all you could muster in return, too tired to start a whole argument. “What do you mean, why? To make sure you're fine, obviously."
“In case you haven't noticed, but it's always me looking after you.”
You woke up on your living room couch, halfway slumped over the side, with a pounding head and blurry vision. You couldn't remember getting home; all you remembered was a pretty bad fight.
I should have just stayed out of there.
But of course, you could never stay out of other people's business. No one in Beacon Hill could. Supernatural was drawn to supernatural.
When you changed schools, you didn't expect your parents to drop you off, and ending up immediately running into a WHOLE PACK of werewolves. You kept your head down and walked right past them as if they didn't exist.
You are a witch, so you smell like an average human to them, but they can’t fool you being born a witch. Your third eye has always been open, and they can’t hide their true forms from you.
One day during lunch, you overheard some of their troubles—of course, you weren't eavesdropping...
you'd never..
From what you gathered, they needed a rare plant that happened to grow in your witch mother’s garden.
You've only been here for a few weeks but befriended Allison and Lydia quickly, so you understood the pack was keeping the town safe and are no danger, of course, they didn't know that you had already seen through them, but you felt the need to help them regardless.
You heard them talking about meeting up after school, so you dropped a tracking stone in Lydia's bag during class when she wasn't looking so you could find her later. In hindsight, you should have maybe just approached them instead of using Lydia to stalk them, but you aren't exactly the most extroverted, so they would have to deal, you thought.
Later that day, you went home and plucked the flower from your mom’s garden while she was still out. Back in your room, you placed the second tracking stone on your map, and it moved exactly to where Lydia was at that moment.
Back then, on that day, you should have learned to mind your business, but whatever
You got out of your car in the middle of the woods, a map and a mason jar with your flower in your hand, looking for Lydia when you heard screaming.
A fight was happening in the middle of the woods, and you ran right into it.
“The fuck are you doing here?” You turned around to see a rather angry Isaac right behind you, unsure whether he had turned since you pretty much always saw through their facade. You could feel the anger rolling off of him. Taking a step back as he took on forward, you pushed your hand out, shoving the jar under his nose while avoiding his eyes. You said nothing.
Isaac accused you of spying on them and trying to sabotage them, but thankfully Stiles stumbled towards you guys, perplexed by your appearance but thankful either way he took the flower and did god knows what with it.
Ever since that you involuntary became a part of the pack. You told them how you knew from the first time you set foot in the school, but Isaac didn't trust you and kept his distance. Now, a year later, close to graduation, you still end up coming to the rescue every single time together with Stiles. You're keeping the boat from sinking, really.
And that's why you found yourself in your current position. You came to the rescue again. Some sicko alpha was rampaging through the woods, and while you were laying a trail of mountain ash, he attacked you from behind, scratching open your side and throwing you through the night sky, lovely.
You didn't register any pain at first, but now that you're coming to be, your entire side is burning, and your head is pounding even stronger.
You don't know who got you home, but you could hear water running in your guest bath down the hall, so with a shaky breath, you pushed yourself up to make your way over to the bathroom, but your vision got blurry, and you had to lean on the armrest.
“What are you doing? Sit back down.” Isaac came rushing towards you and helped you sit back down. You didn't know who to expect, but it wasn't Isaac.
Over the last year, Isaac had warmed up to you a little—not that you could tell, but that's what the others kept saying.
To you, Isaac still seemed closed off, but you wrote it off as it being his personality.
He didn't want you to come today. He protested profusely at lunch, saying that there was nothing you could help with anyway and that you were just putting yourself in danger. You knew that you probably should have sat this one out, but Stiles was feeling under the weather, and you didn't like that Isaac made you feel like a child.”
“I can take care of myself. I'm not a child,” you told Isaac, who acted like you would just be a burden. You feared he might have been right.
Now that he was in your home, treating you like a child again made you angry. One day, he was nice to you—distant but still somewhat nice—giving you class notes when you were sick even though you were sure he never took notes. He shrugged it off like it was no big deal, and then he acted like a first-class jerk again.
To be real, his cold-shoulder, mysterious attitude had you crushing a little at first, but when you realized that he only cold-shouldered you and Stiles, it just felt like he was excluding you.
While you could be more of a help to your friends if you would be focusing on spell crafting like your mom instead of potion making, it comes in handy in times like this where your healing salves would aid your healing process, not having the natural advanced healing of a werewolf.
You take a staggered breath in, grind your teeth together, and got moving.
“You’re shitting me right now; you shouldn't move in this condition.”
Ignoring Isaac, you moved towards your hallway, one hand on the wall stabilizing you.
“I mean it, Isaac, just leave. I brought this onto myself anyway."
But instead of Isaac leaving, you could hear him move towards you.
You went to turn around. “ Wh-
Before you could even start, Isaac picked you up.
Paralyzed from the shock of what was happening, you just gasped up at Isaac like a fish as he carried you to your bedroom. He placed you down on your bed, and without looking at you, he immediately turned away. Your eyes followed his figure as he moved towards the other side of your room, where you kept your potion cabinet.
“Which one is that healing stuff you gave Allison last time?” You just looked at Isaac, not quite understanding why he was still here.
“the purple container that says Clinique” (reduce, reuse, recycle old containers)
Isaac moved back over to the bed. You sat up and took the salve from him.
You waited for him to leave so you could lift your shirt and apply the salve but Isaac sat down next to you.
“I'll help you." Isaac moved closer and tried to lift the side of your shirt, but you flinched back—wrong idea. A stabbing pain ran up your side and temporarily made your vision go black.
One part of your brain enjoyed the idea of taking your whole shirt off in front of Isaac—maybe that small part that still had a crush on him—but the other side didn't even want to slightly lift it.
“I can do it, Isaac; seriously, I'm not getting naked in front of you,” you glared at Isaac the best you could. "You don't need to be here.”
In reality, you didn't look mean at all, the pain too clear in your expression, and your wound far too concerning in Isaac's eyes. “You’re not getting naked; I just need to rub this on, and in case you haven't noticed, you're not even wearing your own shirt, so I won't see anything I haven’t already.”
You looked down at your own body and noticed he's right; the shirt you left the house in is long gone; instead, your blood is soaking into the shirt Isaac wore earlier under his jacket.
While you were distracted, Isaac quickly applied the slave to one hand and went under your shirt. As he went to apply it, you still tried to wriggle out of his hold; you don't know why you did it. You could tell that Isaac, for whatever reason, just wanted to help you.
Nice Isaac was complicated. It made the irrational side of your brain fuzzy, and maybe one small butterfly woke up in your stomach. "I'm staying. Stop fighting me and let me help you, goddamit.”
Isaac’s grip tightened around your waist. You couldn't go anywhere. As he rubbed the salve around your wound, he decided not to lift your shirt and just moved his hand under it.
You titled your head to look at Isaac; his eyes moved from your middle to your face. “Is this okay?” he asked while looking into your eyes.
You nodded your head, not sure what to say. This side of Isaac was weird; technically, you should be happy. This caring side is what you dreamed about months ago when you started crushing on the mysterious wolf, but he made it so incredibly hard on you by always treating you like a little kid.
When Isaac was done, he got up off the bed, washed his hands, and put the salve back where it belonged.
You dropped back on your bed, facing the ceiling, energy fading. You couldn't even move up the bed, legs still dangling off.
Isaac came back to your side and kneeled. He started taking your boots off; you felt too exhausted to even lift your feet to help him.
You groaned, thinking about how Isaac would use this against you for all eternity to prove that you are nothing but a danger to yourself.
“Don't even start again. Just let me help without complaining for once.”
Okay, that wasn't what you expected.
A small “why” was all you could muster in return, too tired to start a whole argument.
“What do you mean, why? To make sure you're fine, obviously."
You didn't really understand what Isaac was on about.
“In case you haven't noticed, but it's always me looking after you.”
You tried to make sense of his words when a conversation you had with Lydia came back to mind; you brushed it off, but Lydia had said something about Isaac always being way too close to you, not in a literal way, but if you were walking in a group, he was next to you walking on the side next to the road, and if you split up in groups, Isaac was always with you, and now today.
wait
“How did you find me? You were supposed to be at the other end of the woods?” You asked Isaac, who gave no reply. He was supposed to be with Allison as backup and setting up traps.
Isaac had put your shoes next to your wardrobe and came back to the side of your bed to help you move fully onto the bed.
“Isaac?”
“I was going to go in position once you were inside the Mountain Ash Circle... But then he came out of nowhere. I was too focused on you to notice him. I'm sorry.” Now you knew Isaac wasn't a man of many words, but you realized that Lydia might have been a little right; Isaac was always watching you.
A blush crept up on your cheeks, but you couldn't quite believe the conclusion you were drawing here.
“Oh,”
Isaac looked down at you lying on your back. "I’m bad at this talking thing, okay?”
He rubbed the back of his neck, avoiding eye contact now.
“it’s okay” You patted the space beside you on the bed and signaled Isaac to sit or lay down. You realized it must have been pretty late, or early? You looked at your alarm clock 2:43 am; well, not too bad.
You felt the bed dip beside you as Isaac laid down on his side next to you, somehow facing you but still avoiding looking at you, fascinating.
“Thank you, Isaac." Your eyes met, and the usually confident Isaac suddenly looked everything but that.
He brushed a strand of hair out of your face with his hand. “Just let me take care of you from now on, okay?” he asked.
Okay, more than one butterfly woke up again. You nodded your head and tried to scoot closer to Isaac; instead, he wrapped his arms around you and did the work for you by pulling you in. “Will you stay?” you said as Isaac moved to sit up. “Of course, but you should change your shirt; it’s bloody.”
“You mean I should change youuur shirt?” you purred. You smiled at Isaac and pointed to your chair, where your PJs were lying. He reached over and gave you your shirt.
“Can you help me get this off?” You sat up; your side was healing. You could feel the wound closing up faster than humanly possible, but it still ached.
Isaac helped you lift your arms as little as possible as he lifted your shirt above your head.
Shivers ran down your spine, but you didn't feel uncomfortable. He helped you put your clean shirt back on and moved you to lie down with him, setting the blanket over you two.
You laid together in silence, your back pressed to Isaac’s chest; you could feel his breath on top of your head; you should sleep, but your emotions were running wild, and you didn't want this moment, these feelings, to end.
As if he could read your thoughts, Isaac said, “I’ll still be here in the morning. You can sleep.”
He kissed the top of your head, and you drifted off to sleep. Today's events were a little too much.

Killer Duo - Isaac Lahey
Summary: Lydia’s throwing a Halloween party and your costume coordinates with Isaac’s
Isaac Lahey x Reader
Word Count: 1,591
Author’s Note: Apparently this was in my drafts in 2019 and I finished it in 2020. Why it never got posted, I’m not sure. The timing of this is funny cause I’m currently at work dressed as the character Isaac is dressed as. Anyway, reblogs and comments are appreciated. Happy Halloween!
Tumblr media
“Lydia, I haven’t dressed up for Halloween since I was 12,” you said walking around looking at all the creepy Halloween decorations.
“And this is a costume party. You have to dress up or you can’t go,” Lydia replied walking in front of you heading straight for the costumes.
“I have no idea what I should be. And most Halloween costumes for women are sexy now, which really means they’re short and inappropriate, and I am not doing that.”
The strawberry blonde rolled her eyes. “You haven’t even looked at any costumes yet and your already jumping to conclusions.”
“I’m just pointing out facts. Halloween used to be fun, then I grew up.”
“And now you’re at the age where you can dress up again,” Lydia smiled at you. “There’s just no candy this time.”
“So what’s the point,” you joked.
“Just come on,” Lydia said grabbing your arm pulling you towards the superhero costumes first.
The two of you began to look through the racks of clothes. You ran a mental checklist of everything that wouldn’t work for you.
Batgirl? No.
Iron Man? No.
Elastigirl? Hell no.
“Oh, what about Wonder Woman,” Lydia asked holding up the iconic armor for you to see.
“Ehh,” you said fidgeting on your feet, “I don’t feel comfortable having my ass out.”
“Okay,” Lydia said sighing at how difficult you were making this. She stood next to you scanning the the other costumes in the superhero section and decided you were going to like any of them.
“What about a witch,” she asked.
“I guess I could be that,” you replied halfheartedly.
“No, I don’t want you buying something you don’t love. That’s the number one rule in fashion.”
“Lydia, why don’t you just look for your costume and I’ll find mines. I don’t want you to keep pulling outfits and I hate them all.”
Lydia turned and faced you. “Honey, I bought my costume weeks ago. No one is going to be wearing the same thing as me at my own party.”
You chuckled, shaking your head. “Duh, I should have known you already had your costume ready to go.”
“Yes, so this trip is all about you, my dear,” Lydia said tapping you on the nose making you smile.
“Fine,” you replied. “Well, let’s go look at something a little more spookier then.”
_____________
“Barbie, eat your heart out.”
Lydia walked up behind you in the mirror and nodded. “You look good.”
“I look killer,” you laughed and Lydia smiled shaking her head.
You looked at yourself in the mirror admiring your white dress, leather jacket, and combat boots. You grabbed your eyeliner pencil and added the final touch. Tiffany’s mole.
Perfect.
As soon as you saw the Bride of Chucky costume, you knew you needed it. Lydia was just happy you didn’t go with Chucky so you didn’t mess up her bathroom adding all the wounds and fake blood on your face.
About an hour later, the party was well under way and you already made your first rounds with Lydia. Now she off doing other hostess duties and you were people watching against the wall.
You saw Isaac across the room and smiled to yourself. You excused yourself through the crowd as you made your way across the room.
“Hey, Isaac. Nice costume,” you greeted, looking up at the tall burette in front of you. Well, he wasn’t brunette right now. He was wearing a red wig and a pair of Good Guys overalls. You snickered to yourself. Of course the guy you had a crush on would be dressed up as Chucky. He was basically the salt to your pepper.
“Thanks,” Isaac said, a grin lining his face. “And you are a... biker bride?”
You looked at Isaac confused and shocked. “You’re kidding me, right?”
“What,” Isaac smiled confused at your response. “Should I know who you are?”
“Yes,” you said laughing. You gawked at him as you held up your plastic bloody knife and pointed to your “Tiff” necklace. His eyebrow furrowed in confusion.
“I’m Tiffany...”
Isaac shook his head still lost.
“The Bride of Chucky...”
“Sorry. Still don’t know who that is.”
“Oh my God. Isaac, how are you dressed up as Chucky but don’t know who Tiffany is?”
Isaac shrugged. “Honestly, I wasn’t planning on wearing a costume, but Lydia said I had to, then showed up to Scott’s house with this.”
You shook your head, laughing to yourself. “Of course she did.”
“Am I missing something,” Isaac asked wanting in on the joke.
“Lydia knew I was dressing up as Tiffany and she made you be Chucky... we’re basically a couple’s costume.”
“We are,” Isaac asked, his eyebrow raised and smirk slowly growing on his face.
“Uhh, I- I mean sorta,” you replied fidgeting where you stood. “Especially, now when we’re standing next to each other.”
Isaac took a step closer to you. “So I guess I better keep you close then.”
You’re eyes grew big but before you could response you were interrupted.
“There you two are,” Lydia said walking up to you and Isaac. Her blonde ponytail wig bouncing with each step she took. She definitely was the only I Dream of Jeannie here. You doubted if most of the party even knew who she was, but they all knew she looked good. “Well don’t you look cozy together.”
“Lydia,” you said a little too sweetly for anyone’s liking. “I hear we have you to thank for Isaac’s costume.”
“What,” Lydia asked like she didn’t basically have you and Isaac in a couple’s costume. “I couldn’t have him come to my Halloween party not dressed up.”
“Yeah, sure,” you scoffed crossing your arms over your chest.
“Anyway, everyone’s outside so we can take a group pic before anyone is too intoxicated to do it later.”
“Lydia,” Stiles yelped running up. “Oh, hey guys,” he said waving to you and Isaac. You smiled and waved back before he began talking to Lydia. He was dressed up as Captain Tony Nelson, the perfect couple’s costume to Lydia’s Jeannie. “Um, so, I may or may not have gotten my Captain’s hat stuck on the roof... okay I definitely did. But it was Scott’s fault!”
“Seriously, Stiles,” Lydia fumed. “God,” she whispered under her breath shaking her head before turning to you. “Give it about ten minutes before the picture so I can get his hat down.”
You laughed nodding your head. “Okay.”
The couple walked away, leaving you alone with Isaac. “Um, I’m going to go get something to drink. See you outside in ten?”
“Yeah,” Isaac said, giving you a slow and sexy smile.
You turned and headed for the kitchen, letting out a long breath as you did. Isaac’s whole existence was driving you crazy. Although you did like the blue eyed boy, and you’ve been wanting something to happen for a while, he was making you incredibly nervous. You’d rather avoid him instead of potential embarrassing yourself.
After you filled your red solo cup with the fruity punch being served, one of your classmates came up to you.
“Hey Y/N, cute costume.”
“Thanks!”
“I didn’t know you and Isaac were a thing.”
“Huh,” you asked confused.
“The couple’s costume,” they said hesitantly. “Chucky and Tiffany.”
“Ohh, duh” you said to yourself when you realized. “We’re not dating. We just happened to wear costumes that went together.”
“Oh... well, the two of you look good together,” they said shrugging then walked away.
All your friends were already outside ready to take the picture. Lydia handed her phone to the designated photographer, then went to stand next to Stiles. Scott was in the middle, with Kira next to him. Malia was next to Kira, while Stiles and Lydia were on the other side of Scott. You stood next to Malia, throwing your arm over your friend’s shoulder. Isaac stood near Stiles.
After two pics were snapped, Lydia went to check the photos. She grabbed her phone, then looked up at the group. “Somethings not right...,” she said out loud, thinking to herself. “I know!” She grabbed Isaac by his arm and pulled him over to where you were standing. “That’s better. You’re costumes go together, so it makes sense,” she said smiling. She mumbled a quick you’re welcome to you before she handed the camera back over and went back to her place next to Stiles.
The person taking the pictures counted down “3, 2, 1,” then snapped a pic. But before you got to one, Isaac grabbed you by the waist and pulled you into him. You shrieked in response then started laughing.
“Okay, now a funny one,” Scott yelled so everyone could hear.
Isaac didn’t hesitate, quickly picking you up bridal style. You yelped, then immediately stuck your tongue out at him. Lydia’s phone flashed as the picture was taken, then everyone stopped doing their poses, but Isaac didn’t put you down.
You giggled before you spoke. “You can put me down now, Isaac. The picture’s over.”
“I said I should keep you close. So that’s what I’m doing,” he said smiling down at you in his arms. “And besides, if we’re next to each other people will think we’re a couple, so no guy will ask you to dance.”
You titled your head to the side, your eyes squinted slightly. “But we’re not a couple.”
“Give it a few weeks.”
Your mouth dropped in a silent gasp, slowly turning into a huge grin. You heard Kira giggling behind you and Stiles’s “yuck.”

—the prophecy
Tumblr media
pairing: isaac lahey x fem!stilinski!reader
summary: isaac tries to fight for your life while something he isn’t able to stop sets a terrible prophecy into motion
warnings: canon typical violence, mentions of death, blood, angst
notes: completely made up villain and storyline, reader is a witch
you had laughed at isaac's suggestion at first, sure it was a dumb joke with which he was trying to light the mood. stiles had started laughing with you and it was only then that you realized that isaac hadn't been joking.
"wait, you really mean it, don't you?" you asked, brows furrowed and an irritated look on your face.
"of course i mean it" isaac nodded, looking between you and stiles, who looked less happy and more annoyed now.
"well, you have no power to decide this for us" you crossed your arms, exchanging a look with your brother, who nodded.
"you have been a werewolf for all of five minutes, okay?" stiles muttered "but we, we've been doing this for years. your hear what i'm saying? years, isaac, plural"
"i just want to help"
"just like we do" you said, tone a bit softer than before as you noticed the worry on the blondes face. "we're risking lives if we stay home"
"i know, i just—"
"you heard her" stiles interrupted, before he walked around isaac, opening the front door. "either you come with us or you stay here"
isaac sighed, taking one last look at you, before he walked through the door first.
the mission was unevenful and much different for what you had expected. you didn't need any outstanding powers, just a bit of light magic, resulting in you having more energy than usual when you came back home.
isaac hadn't left yours and stiles' side for the enterity you were there, making sure that both of you were save at all times. you appreciated his protectiveness, but it made you wonder why he was suddenly acting like this. he had never had any distrust in your abilities. not even in stiles, although he was a human and had no powers.
the next day you all sat together at lunch. lydia and stiles were discussing a plothole in the star wars prequels, scott was studying an ancient looking book and isaac was staring at you, while you read your emails.
"is there something i can help you with?" you asked in a low voice to not to disturb your friends conversation.
"no" isaac shook his head and quickly averted his eyes, acting like he hadn't been focused on you for almost an hour.
"here" scott said louder than necessary to catch the attention around him. "it mentions something about a lost relic, derek told me about it before. maybe it's that what he's searching for"
gallaghan had been plaguing the town for the past few months, keeping the pack on edge about where he would show up next. it wasn't unsual for him to cause chaos and destruction wherever he went and until now you hadn't been able to find out what he was after.
"we might put an end to it if we find it first" lydia noted.
stiles nodded, always agreeable with whatever she said. "maybe we can even use it against him"
"where could it be hidden?" you asked, leaning over the table and trying to gather a look at the pages in scott's book.
"i think malia saw it before" scott muttered, unsurely. "she saw where it was hidden"
"great!" stiles stood up, his tray in hand. "let's go!"
before either of you could agree and stand up as well, isaac interjected. "i don't think we all need to go, right?" he asked, voice only above a whisper. "scott and lydia could go alone"
"why us?" lydia asked exchanging a glance with scott.
isaac shrugged.
"i say you go ask malia, while stiles, isaac and i go and get everything we could possibly need to fetch the relic" you suggested to keep the peace.
"sounds good" scott smiled, before he nodded behind him, in the direction of the hallway in which malia was studying in a classroom right now. lydia followed the alpha without another word, but you could see the look of confusion she send you.
"what's going on?" stiles asked isaac, as soon as your friends were out of ear shot.
"nothing" isaac insisted.
"you can tell us" your voice was soft and you laid your hand on top of his, despite stiles narrowing his eyes at your movement. isaac was ready to break, before he remembered what telling you could lead to.
"i swear it's nothing" he said again. "i just want to keep the both of you save"
"really romantic, thank you" stiles pushed a hand against his chest, a sarcastic smile on his face as he fluttered his eyelashes at the blonde boy across from him.
"let's get ready then, huh?" you suggested, squeezing isaac's hand to assure him. "you can stand next to us the entire time if that helps, yeah?"
isaac nodded reluctantely, before he took his own tray and followed you out of the cafeteria and to stiles jeep.
"we have to keep this on the down low" stiles announced to both of you, as he reversed the car and drove off the school parking lot. "dad's gonna kill us if he finds out"
"well, i'm not gonna tell him, you can bet your ass on that" you laughed from next to your brother. "you won't either, right isaac?" you asked jokingly, looking into the mirror.
isaac nodded, of course, but there was a dark thought in his head. a thought that would make both stiles and you extremely angry at him, but would keep you safe.
you prepared the whole afternoon for what you planned to do that evening. scott and lydia called throughout, telling you that malia still knew where the relic was hidden and that all of you would meet at scott's house at midnight.
isaac had gone home after a while, which you found weird, considering he had not let you out of his sight since the beginning of the week.
isaac hadn't been able to stay any longer as the same thought kept on repeating in his head. anytime he looked at you, he felt like a piece of his heart was breaking off.
a terrible headache only added to the pain his body was experiencing. he sat down on the couch in derek's loft, eyes fluttering close, as sleep took over.
in his dream he was back in the cave. the cave below the church, which the pack had discovered a few weeks ago. they had been searching for something isaac was now not even able to remember, but it had been important enough for all of you to come along.
he had walked into the cave on his own, the small space not allowing company, as he searched through a desk that was cramped into the corner.
that's when he found it. the prophecy.
in the time of shadows and light, when the balance teeters on the edge of ruin, the one who stands closest to the alpha—akin to his sister in heart though not in blood—shall meet her final fate. as the heavens weep, and three lightning strikes herald her doom, her end shall not be in vain, for her soul will be the price for another, a life dearer than her own. in the moment of her greatest sacrifice, she will choose love over life, and in doing so, her death shall render her eternal, for her legacy will live long after her mortal body has perished.
isaac woke up startled, the familiar words repeating in his head over and over again. he had known almost immediately that it was you the ancient text was talking about. and it was obvious you would give your life to save stiles.
it had been eating away at him since he had found out. he could not imagine his life without you. even a day without your laughter was too much for him to bare. he had loved you for way too long to never get a chance to tell you.
isaac knew that there was a way to change what was promised, to not make you decide and trade your life to spare stiles'. he just had to make sure both of you were safe.
but how could he do that?
"isaac, what are you doing here?" sheriff stilinski smiled, when officer parrish walked isaac into the formers office.
"good evening, sheriff" isaac greeted. "i think there is something you should know"
stiles and you had been ready for half an hour and were now standing in stiles' room, studying his wall of a million red strings, that almost made your eyes burn.
"that's a lot of red" you noted.
"i know"
"red means unssolved, right?" you stepped forward, moving along one of the strings with your finger. "there's a lot of unsolved things then"
"i'm aware, y/n" stiles slapped your hand away. "you're gonna ruin it"
"gonna ruin what exactly?" you tested "the unanswered questions you know nothing about?"
"haha, very funny" stiles smiled sarcastically. "you have no sense for real detective work"
"calm down, columbo" you rolled your eyes "i think you need to solve a case before you earn the right to call yourself a detective."
"oh sorry, i didn't know i was talking to nancy drew" he crossed his arms. "i'm sure she would appreciate this work of a genius"
you raised an eyebrow. "genius? looks more like a kindergarten art project gone wrong."
stiles scoffed, leaning in. "well, if by 'gone wrong' you mean 'brilliantly unraveling mysteries,' then yeah, sure, kindergarten. but guess what—this 'art project' is probably going to save our butts, again."
you smirked, crossing your arms. "right, because nothing says 'life-saving genius' like a wall of yarn."
"whatever" stiles shrugged, taking a quick look at his phone. "ten minutes until midnight, we better get going"
you nodded, grabbing your bag from his bed, before you both walked out of his room and down the stairs. you took the keys out of the little bowl near the door, just as stiles opened it.
"scott said—whoa, dad!" his voice called out in surprise.
you narrowed your eyes at the figure standing in the door. your father was still wearing his uniform and looked at both of you disapprovingly.
"didn't you have the night shift?" stiles wondered and you wanted to elbow him deep into the ribs, as your father's face darkened even more.
"where do you think you're going?" he asked, stepping into the house and shutting the door behind him. "and you skipped school? again? we talked about this"
"how do you—"
you interrupted stiles. "—it was an emergency"
"didn't sound like that" sheriff stilinski shook his head, disappointment crossing his face, before he sighed. "go to bed, both of you. it's a school night"
"but dad—" stiles and you tried to protest at the same time.
"you heard me"
you walked up the stairs defeated and followed stiles back into his room.
"i bet isaac snitched" stiles accused almost immediately after you had closed the door. "he's been acting strange. stranger than usual"
"i don't think isaac would do that"
stiles crossed his arms and send you a pointed look.
"okay, maybe" you admitted, "it doesn't matter anyway. we have to find a way to get out and meet up with the others"
"we can't leave until he's gone to sleep" stiles sighed. "shit!"
"did you hear anything from stiles and y/n?" lydia asked over at scotts house. the rest of the pack, isaac, malia, derek and scott were sitting around her.
"yeah" scott nodded. "stiles just texted that they won't be able to make it on time, but they'll try to come"
"what do we do?" malia asked, looking between her friends.
"i say we go anyway" isaac muttered. "we can't wait for gallaghan to find the relic first"
"isaac's right" derek said.
"alright" scott nodded. "i tell them to meet us there as soon as they're able to come"
isaac desperately hoped that they would never make it.
due to him not being used to the quiet of the night, it took your dad an unnaturally short time to fall asleep. stiles and you had checked on him at one thirty, being out the house at one fourty.
the drive was shorter than expected. and it seemed that you were arriving just on time, as all hell had broken lose. you understood quickly that you hadn't been the only ones to come and search for the relic.
gallaghan was there too and he had brought company in the form of hunters.
"shit" you muttered to stiles, while both of you tried to make out where you could help best. you decided to split up, you walking right and him left, bat in hand.
isaac was busy fighting against two hunters, who looked anything but friendly. it didn't look good for him if you were honest. you quickly raised your hands, throwing both men back and knocking them out through the action.
isaac turned around in susprise. "y/n!" he breathed, shock evident on his face. "what the hell are you doing here?"
the expression on your face changed, spotting a look of betrayal. "so it was you who talked to dad"
"that's beside the point" isaac shook his head looking between you and the fight a few feet away. "you can't be here!" he gripped your arm.
"the hell i can" you tried to break free from his grip but it was to no use.
"just wait" he pleaded, fiddeling with his phone, before he held it in your direction. "i didn't want to tell you, because i didn't want to scare you"
your eyes flew over the words on the photo. the writing was old, almost ancient and not easy to read, but perfectly clear to understand once you got it. "meet her final fate?" you muttered, looking up at him with wide eyes.
"yes" he paused. "that's why i told your dad, i was sure he wouldn't let you come and i was right. so please, go back home y/n"
"okay" you nodded and isaac sighed.
"but we have to find stiles first" he muttered, as he thought back to the words in the prophecy. "you're going to sacrifice yourself for love and stiles is the most plausible option"
before either of you could say anything else, a flash of lightning momentarily sounded in the air, bathing the sky in a bright light. you both jumped at the same time.
"that was the first" isaac exclaimed with a look of horror.
"the first?" you repeated carefully.
"as the heavens weep, and three lightning strikes herald her doom" he quoted. "three strikes. that was the first. we have to hurry"
"yeah-yeah" you nodded, the fear growing inside you as you realized that whatever isaac had found was actually slowly becoming true.
"it's better you wait here" isaac announced finally. "i'll go and find stiles"
"are you sure?"
"i don’t want you going in there as long as it's dangerous" he pointed at the building behind him. "it's even more dangerous for you if stiles is in there"
"okay" you nodded, tears spilling from your eyes. "please be safe, isaac" you said a he looked at you with pain in his eyes. "and thank you" he nodded, before he turned around and began to run. you pushed your back against the wall, hiding yourself from anyone coming close.
it felt like an eternity to wait for him. you debated if you should follow him to make sure he was safe. you were scared, so deeply scared that him saving your life meant ultimately sacrificing his own in the process.
another lightning broke through the sky and made you unvoluntarily duck, as your heart began to beat faster.
"y/n!" stiles' voice called. the relief that flushed you almost made you stumble to the ground.
"stiles" you breathed, turning the corner and sinking into your brother's arms. "where is isaac?"
stiles turned around as if there was something to find. "he was right behind me, he was—"
you gripped his shoulders, as loud footsteps interrupted his rambling, isaac running out of the building. "go! go!" he screamed loudly. they were following him, three hunters, ready to kill.
you raised your hand, pushing the first back. he flew against the nearest tree, losing his conciousness immediately. the second wasn't as easy. he managed to swerve around your magic a few times, before it eventually gripped him, pulling him back and leaving him laying in the middle of the street.
you pushed stiles behind you as you tried to take on the last of them. isaac was now running directly in your direction, the hunter right behind him, which made it harder for you to hex the right person.
your tries kept relentlessly failing, as you realized too late what kept the man safe. it was something so simple, but you had never encountered it. like vampires could be contained with garlic, or werewolves with wolfsbane, witches could be repelled with ivy and his whole jacket was decorated in the green plant. somehow he had known about you and your powers.
the man threw a rope, catching isaac's foot and quickly snatching him back, making the boy tumble to the ground.
"isaac!" you called loudly, voice in an unsteady rhythm as your tears broke through. you quickly managed to the let the rope vanish.
isaac scrambled to his feet, but the hunter was relentless, closing the distance once more. panic surged through you as you saw the desperation in isaac’s eyes. you couldn’t let him die. not now. not after everything.
"y/n!" stiles shouted, but you barely heard him over the pounding in your ears, over the roaring of your heart.
isaac stumbled, still trying to stand, but the hunter was already upon him, pulling out a silver blade meant to kill.
you closed your eyes, time stopping to flow around you. isaac and the hunter stayed unmoving, you felt stiles' fingers cling to the hem of your shirt. but you couldn't think about that.
the concentration you had to muster felt unbearable. but you could not let him die. you would rather get hurt yourself than watch him get killed.
with a surge of adrenaline, you stepped forward, raising your hands as you prepared to use your magic again. but this time, something felt different. the power inside you was building faster than you’d ever felt before—wild, uncontrollable, a force you could barely contain.
"get away from him!" you screamed, your voice hoarse from the terror that gripped your heart. the hunter raised the blade, preparing to strike down on isaac.
the magic swelled inside you, overwhelming, tearing through your body with searing heat. you had one chance. one spell. but it would cost you everything.
you made the choice.
with a cry of pain, you unleashed the full force of your magic, every ounce of power you had. it erupted from you in a blinding wave of light, surging toward the hunter. but this wasn’t just a simple spell. It was something more, something ancient and powerful—something that demanded a sacrifice.
you could feel the magic ripple through the barrier of the ivy, breaking apart like a twig in it's way.
the hunter sank to the ground, falling down like a sack of potatoes, the dagger clastering to the side.
you didn't have long to be happy about your win. just as your power dried out, you felt a flash of pain errupt inside your chest and then, like it was bound to happen, the third strike of lightning broke through the sky, painting your face in horror as you fell to the ground.
stiles was barely fast enough to catch you, breath hitching as he stared down at you in worry.
you looked past him and into the bright sky, like it was a mirror of your sould that was burning.
"y/n" isaac stumbled onto his feet and sank to the ground next to you. "what did you do?"
"i saved you" you whispered. you could feel your teech being drenched in liquid. blood, you thought.
"but—" isaac paused, looking up in the sky. "the third" he muttered then.
"what?" stiles asked from behind you. isaac looked at your brother, who was looking so worried and scared. it took him a second to realize what had happened.
"the prophecy wasn't about stiles" he concluded.
you managed to nod your head. you hadn't know immediately, but at the moment that danger threatened to end isaac's life. he had been so sure, so set on it being about stiles that you hadn't questioned his theory.
but everything he had done to prevent your fate, had actually set it in motion.
"prophecy? what prophecy? could someone please talk to me?" stiles pleaded, teary-eyed.
as if they knew that something had happened, the rest of your friends came running.
"we have the relic, gallaghan is—" scott said, before he saw what was going on.
"what prophecy?" stiles tried again.
isaac took out his phone with trembling hands, holding it in your brothers direction.
"in the time of shadows and light, when the balance teeters on the edge of ruin, the one who stands closest to the alpha—akin to his sister in heart though not in blood—" stiles read, voice unsteady, as he pressed his other hand against your body, making sure you were still there. "shall meet her final fate. as the heavens weep, and three lightning strikes herald her doom, her end shall not be in vain, for her soul will be the price for another, a life dearer than her own." he looked between you and isaac.
"it didn't mean platonic love" you concluded, blood seeping from your mouth as you spoke. you could hear a cry come from lydia, as she buried her head in scott's shoulder, who looked down at you in pain.
derek had clasped a hand around isaac's shoulder as if to give his beta strength. even malia, who normally was not fazed by anthing, watched you in horror.
isaac touched your cheek. "i was wrong" he cried. "i was so determined to save you i did not even properly think"
"she doesn't have to die" stiles shook his head. "i mean we can do something, right? we always do something. if she would die you would know, right lydia?" he looked up at the strawberry blonde with pleading eyes and and unfair amount of hope.
lydia shook her head softly and stiles slumped down.
"stiles" you muttered. "it has been prophesied"
"i don't care about the stupid prophecy, okay?" he pushed a few tears away from his cheeks. "you won't die tonight. dad's gonna kill me if he finds out"
you smiled at his blind optimism and his disbelief of the situation.
"i'm sorry" isaac cried. "this is all my fault"
"yes it is" stiles pushed a finger into the blondes chest. "you knew about it and you didn't even try to tell us"
"i thought it was safer" isaac tried to defend.
"i'm her brother, i deserved to know" stiles shook his head. "i could've found a way"
"not with all those red strings" you muttered, trying to light the mood.
"what about decan?" scott asked. "can't we bring her to him?"
"it's a difference if someone's life is threatened by an outer force like a dagger or poison or by an inner force" derek explained and if you weren't mistaken, he was crying too.
"inner force?" malia repeated.
"her powers are slowly turning against her" he concluded. "they're killing her from the inside. she's bleeding out internally"
"so what?" stiles asked, "we just let her die? we won't even try to do something?"
"we can't do anything, stiles"
stiles turned his head back to look at isaac, deep anger spilling from his features. "she's dying, because of you! because you were so selfish that you didn't want to tell us what you knew!" he spat. "she should've let you die!"
isaac sank down, stiles' words hitting him like a dagger. he knew that he was at fault, that he had not done enough, that he should've acted differently. he shouldn't have been so scared to share his knowledge, not so fast to make assumptions.
"enough!" you called loudly, interrupting your brother's screaming, as you tried your best to sit up against him. "i don't want to go like this. you don't get to make this out to be isaac’s fault, stiles!" you turned back around to the blonde. "and you don't get to think it is, isaac! i make my own decisions and i will not die in vain because of you idiots"
"y/n" isaac muttered.
"no, isaac" you swept the blood from your mouth in a desperate try to free your lungs and breathe in the clean air. you could feel your time run out, it was only the parts of you that weren't human that had given you more time, before your final fate would come. "i chose to save you, because i love you"
"i tried to save you because of the same reason" isaac muttered, voice just above a whisper. "now look where love has gotten us"
a small, sad smile tugged at the corner of your lips. "i don’t feel like i’m at the wrong place," you said softly, shaking your head. "i feel like i was at the right place, at the right time. and i did what i had to do."
"love shouldn't take your life" he disagreed, clearly not accepting of what you had done.
"there's no better thing to die for, isaac" you took his hand in yours. "i just regret that i didn't tell you sooner"
it was just devastating to see the pain on his face and know that you were the reason for it.
stiles, who had been silent, his face streaked with tears, sobbed quietly beside you. his hand rested on your shoulder, his body shaking as the reality of your fading life hit him.
your friends stood nearby, faces pale and stricken with sadness, as if they were watching the world unravel before their eyes. they were crying like the night had stolen the very light from the world, as if everything had been lost.
"i'm sorry" isaac said once again, clinging to your hand like it was a lifeline.
"don't be sorry" you shook your head, a peaceful smile unraveling on your features. "i always thought i would be alone, you know?"
you searched his eyes for some sign of recognition of the conversation you had once had about your final moments. "i remember" he said, his mind wandering back to the night on your roof.
"i'm not alone" you whispered, before you looked at everyone individually, taking them in to remember.
eyes are most beautiful when they’re filled with tears, you thought to yourself. it wasn’t something you had ever said out loud, but it was how you felt now—seeing the raw emotion, the love, the pain all mixed together. It was devastating, but it was real.
you touched isaac's cheeck, catching one of his tears. they fell from his ocean-blue eyes, like the water had risen too high for the shore to contain. "it might sound selfish" you whispered softly, as you watched the tear run down your fingers, "but isn't it somewhat soothing to know, that i was loved to the point of tears?"
isaac smiled at you and you could read the undeniable love from his face. you looked around you once more, into the faces of your friends and brother.
"loved enough to be grieved" you muttered, like a sudden realisation. "not everyone can say that. so… thank you." your breath hitched, as if to finalize your fate.
"y/n?" stiles muttered as he noticed the glossy look in your eyes. almost like you were fading away.
"y/n" isaac repeated when no answer rang out. he shook you softly.
you smiled. "i wish i could've seen the sun" your eyes fell close as death set into your features, but still leaving the smile on your face, like it wanted to grant you with something, a final piece of happiness in a moment of despair.
"no!" stiles voice rung out first. in a desperate attempt to bring you back to life he began to shake you, hoping for some kind of movement. "no!"
"stiles" scott muttered, taking his friend into his arms and letting him sob against his shoulder as they cried simultaenously.
isaac sat across from them, slumped down and heartbroken. derek gripped the shoulder of his beta even harder. lydia sank next to isaac reluctantly, first stretching out her hand slowly, but finally taking him into her arms and letting him sob against her warm embrace.
none of them said anything, but they all stayed where they were, ultimately knowing what to do without speaking about it.
they sat down around you, as if to spend you company.
as the clock struck 5:17 a.m., the first rays of sunlight bathed your still form in a soft, golden light, marking the quiet end of a day and the beginning of a new one without you.
it was almost as if you could feel the warm of the light on your face. your smile being a constant reminder that you had thought about something good in your final moment, like the first sign of sunrise at the beginning of a day, or the feeling of blowing out candles on your birthday. running through grass barefoot and feeling the earths touch beneath your feet.
smelling snow for the first time at the beginning of december, growing taller than your older brother at the age of seven, falling in love for the first time and getting your heart broken. falling in love again, despite remembering how much it hurt when it ended.
dancing with your friends after a few too many shots, swimming in the lake during the hottest day of summer. rainy days in the library, ice cream in the summer, cookies at the beginning of autumn, peace at the end of your life.
you had missed the sun by a few hours, but had met it in your life more times than anyone could be able to remember.

Just a Little Spark
Tumblr media
CW: Nothing, really. There's so mutual pining vaguely happening. Reader is a witch, if that matters. It's mostly vaguely fluffy. It's also self ship coded as hell. It kind of flows as a part of a series of little one shots that tie together. Reader and Isaac are presumably in their early twenties in this. Oh! And it's a female reader, although I don't think there's much mentioned that would make it blatantly a female reader.
Word count: ~2.1k
Pairing: F!reader x Isaac Lahey
Fandom: Teen Wolf
Just a little note that this would take place (at least in my mind) some time after Isaac obviously left but before the (atrocious) Teen Wolf movie (where they still don't even bother to mention Isaac at all and I'm still salty about it) but since we don't know what ever happened to Isaac, I ran with the idea of him coming back to Beacon Hills for something and him meeting up with the reader who is on the road for her own reasons and there are more little parts to this whole thing that make it a friends to lovers kind of situation.

You rolled your eyes and let out a sigh as you felt Isaac Lahey hovering over your shoulder, your attention being drawn away from the book you were skimming through because of his near constant need for attention. This was becoming a regular occurrence and while you were used to it, it didn’t mean that it made it any less of an annoyance. It was hard to get much done with Isaac hanging around so close that you could almost feel his warm breath on your skin.
You could tell without looking that he was leaning closer and soon he would be close enough to rest his head on your shoulder. You knew how much he hated the research part of things so him getting this close was Isaac’s way of trying to get your attention. As you slowly turned your head to look at him, the young man backed away, a sheepish look on his face when you both locked eyes.
“Sorry. I’m sorry.” Isaac raised his hands in apology and flashed a charming smile your way, knowing that it would be a good way to get out of trouble. His smile seemed to always get him out of trouble with you and he wasn’t above using that to his advantage. “Don’t yell. Please?”
You sighed louder this time, shaking your head as you rolled your eyes. You rarely yelled at him and Isaac knew it. You turned back to the book you had been thumbing through, looking for information that would help you both out of the mess you currently found yourselves in. In reality, the two of you had been entangled in mess after mess from the moment you met. Isaac had found his way to Seattle after leaving Paris, not sure he was ready to go back to Beacon Hills. He had pissed off the wrong wolf pack in the area not long after arriving in Seattle. You, a young witch, had taken it upon yourself to take Isaac in to keep him safe.
That hadn’t gone as well as you would have liked but now Isaac had someone watching his back, which was something he had needed. You both made it away from the pack Isaac had upset, although that wasn’t the end of your troubles. He was going to continue to need someone to watch his back because while he said he had a pack, they were in Beacon Hills and he wasn’t. Most packs who saw Isaac would assume he was an omega and they never lasted long on their own. With the two of you traveling together, neither of you had to worry about being on your own.
You needed Isaac as much as he needed you. You wouldn’t tell him, because you knew he would get cocky, but you felt safer with him around. It wasn’t as if you couldn’t protect yourself but there were still parts of your magic that you didn’t have control over, as well as things you weren't aware that you was capable of. There were times when you didn’t mean to expend large amounts of your energy but if you got scared or angry, you did it without thinking. When it was all said and done, you were usually alone and vulnerable. You needed Isaac there to make sure that nothing bad happened to you too.
You had left your coven, the only family you had ever known, when it was clear that some of the members of the group wanted to use you for their own means as you came into your own power. You refused to be someone else’s pawn but the decision to leave hadn’t been an easy one for you. You had to slip out in the wee hours of the morning, taking only as much as you knew she could carry. Luckily for you, you had an RV that you had been living out of since you turned 18 and while a lot of your books and other various tools of your craft were inside of it, there were things you had to leave behind. More than that, there were people that mattered to you that you had been forced to leave behind and that had been the hardest part.
But now you had Isaac and Isaac had you. Neither of you had to be alone anymore. You were a coven of two, a pack of two — as much as either of you could claim that. It wasn’t much but it was better than both of you fumbling about alone in the world.
“Are you going to seriously leave me hanging here?”
You looked over your shoulder at him again, your eyes narrowing and your full lips pursed. You didn’t want to be angry with him but he had a way of pushing your buttons at the worst times. If you hadn’t been trying so hard to concentrate, you wouldn’t have minded but Isaac needed attention at the exact moment that you needed to focus. You weren't sure you could split focus in a way that would satisfy him and allow you to do the research that you needed to work on.
“What do you want me to do, Isaac? Do you need me to entertain you? I’m sorry if this isn’t your idea of a good time,” you angrily said with a shake of your head, raising your voice more than you had intended. “Go for a walk if it bothers you that much.”
Isaac rolled his eyes this time, huffing as he flopped down onto the couch that sat behind the table where you was seated. His forearm was draped across his eyes as he laid there, acting like he was ignoring you. You hesitated but when Isaac remained quiet for longer than a couple of minutes, you let your attention drift back to the book you had been reading. You looked back once to see what he was up to when Isaac hadn’t bothered you again.
When you saw he was still laying there, you turned your full attention back to the book. If Isaac had fallen asleep, you didn’t want to wake him. More than that you appreciated the moment of silence. You tried to use it to your advantage, reading while you had a moment of stillness and calm.
It wasn’t long before you felt your concentration slip away. Maybe it was because you were worried that Isaac thought you were angry or maybe it was because you weren't learning anything that might help but you started to feel fidgety. It seemed that the book could wait since you were now having difficulty making sense of the words on the pages. The quiet was almost too much for you to bear. However, you didn’t hear Isaac as he rose and resumed hovering around behind you.
“Isaac?”
He had gotten up while you had been focused on your reading, silently pacing behind you as he hoped you wouldn’t notice him. It seemed as though sitting still wasn’t in the cards for him today either. When you called his name, Isaac perked up almost immediately, turning his head toward you. He had almost broken out in a grin but he suppressed the smile as best as he could, not wanting to upset you again. “Yeah?”
“Come here.”
There was something about the tone of your voice that Isaac wasn’t sure he should trust, especially after you had gotten snappy with him earlier. His eyebrows furrowed as he watched you, not sure what you wanted. “Why?”
You closed your eyes for a moment and sighed, hearing the skepticism in his voice. This time you waved him over as you spoke. “Just come here.”
“No, you’re going to hit me.”
You turned around to face Isaac, frowning as you realized that he still thought you were upset. “Look, you’re annoying me but I’m not going to hit you. Okay?”
His shoulders were slumped as he inched closer to you, closing the distance between you. He saw that the book you had been looking through was closed, noting that there was a slip of paper stuck in it to mark the page. His brows furrowed again as he stood over you. He towered over you even when you were standing but right now Isaac was like a giant standing over you and he could feel it. His back hunched as if he were trying to make himself smaller.
“What is it?” he asked, still a bit uncertain.
You reached for Isaac’s hand, your fingers gently stroking the back of his hand before you laced her fingers with his. An electric buzz raced through your body, starting at the point of contact between the two of you. It was an odd phenomenon that had begun happening recently whenever one of you touched the other. You saw that Isaac felt it too, seeing his breath catch, but neither of you mentioned it, as usual. For now it was just a thing that happened that neither of you could or wanted to explain and for now, you were happy to leave it that way.
You used your free hand to push back from the table, still holding his hand. Isaac looked down at your hands with a lopsided smile though. Sometimes you both wondered where this mutually beneficial arrangement was leading but most of the time you both let things happen. It didn’t stop Isaac from grinning like an idiot whenever you showed some semblance of wanting him around for any reason that wasn’t your protection or his safety and this was definitely one of those times. Maybe you both weren’t ready to talk about what was going on but you both certainly felt it.
His smile was infectious and soon you were smiling too, your thumb brushing the back of his hand. You weren't stupid; you knew the two of you were blurring the lines between this being something for your mutual protection and this being something more than a friendship. It was something you were going to have to confront eventually but today didn’t seem like it was the right time. Not when all you wanted was to keep Isaac from getting too fidgety, not when you knew you could use a break.
“How about we go into town and get something to eat? I think it should be safe.”
Isaac leaned forward and tugged on the curtain that covered one of the windows. It wasn’t far past noon and so far nothing had come for you both in the middle of the day. Even he had to admit that it should be safe. He nodded as he let the curtain fall from his fingertips, his eyes settling on you again. He gave your hand a gentle squeeze before nearly dragging you toward the seats up in the front of the RV.
You laughed softly as you followed him. You realized in that moment you were both too far past this being a friendship but you didn’t feel brave enough to bring it up. You thought Isaac felt it too but instead of bringing it up, you let him lead you forward, sitting in the passenger’s seat without an argument. Whatever you felt for each other was going to continue to be an unspoken thing for a while longer.
Isaac’s face broke out in a wide grin as he let go of your hand so he could start up the RV. You were renting a space at an RV park outside of a moderately sized town. If you were going to get something to eat, you would have to drive into town and Isaac was always so happy whenever you let him drive. You were so protective of the RV since it was the only home the two of you had at the moment. Giving up control of it to let Isaac drive seemed like you were trusting him with something even more important than your means of travel and the roof over your heads.
He turned on the radio, glancing over when he heard you humming along with the music. He almost reached out to brush some of your hair from your eyes but he stopped himself. Both of you hesitated when it came to gestures of affection, no matter how small they were. Soon Isaac was humming along with the music as it played as well. At least for a little while you both would get to be normal and that was so much more than he thought he could ask for. It was more than he thought he deserved but for the moment he was happy and he was going to live in this moment for as long as he could manage.

“Derek, what are you doing?” you felt his hands travel down your waist as he stood behind you.
“I missed you,” he whispered.
He pressed his lips towards your neck as you closed your eyes softly, clenching your jaw.
Before you could protest, you felt your back hitting the wall, Derek’s lips pressed against yours as he put his hands on your thighs, lifting you gently. You wrapped your legs around his waist as he began walking to his bed. He put his hand on your head, pulling it back roughly, pressing his lips on your neck.
You breathed heavily, closing your eyes as you held onto him tightly.
---
You opened your eyes, taking a deep breath as you jumped up, feeling your neck aching. You must have fallen asleep.
You sat on a chair, next to Derek’s bed as he still laid there, unconscious.
Maybe he was really tired, and maybe that’s the reason he didn't wake up.
You checked your phone, scrolling past the messages from everyone. It was nearly 7 AM, which had made about four hours since Derek collapsed.
Your mind thought back to your dream before you shook your head.
You’d be lying if you said you didn't miss him, that you didn't still love him, even after everything. But the pain you felt after he cheated on you, even after he said he didn't love you and he never did, it still hurt. You tried to ignore it for the most part. The two of you were doing just fine as friends for the past couple of weeks, before last night anyway.
You began to grow more worried, seeing Derek still asleep. You ran your fingers through his hair, looking down at him.
“(Y/N)?” his eyes were still closed as he said your name softly.
“Derek, I’m here,” you frowned, holding his hand.
“What happened?” he opened his eyes, holding your hand before sitting up.
You sat next to him, stroking his hand softly.
“I don’t know. You just collapsed. Are you okay?” you asked.
He nodded, rubbing his head.
“Headache?” you said.
He nodded again, as he massaged his head softly.
“I don’t think drugs work on wolves,” you said.
“Do you have any idea what happened?” you asked.
“No. Well, sort of. I’ve been blacking out since I healed Cora,” he replied.
“Since you healed Cora? It’s been weeks,” you frowned.
“I’m aware. But I’m fine. I’ll get through it,” he said.
“That’s not good,” you shook your head.
“I'll be fine. Uhm, thanks for staying with me,” he nodded.
You smiled softly as you heard Peter’s voice, as the door opened.
“I didn't interrupt anything, did I?” his eyes motioned to Derek’s bed then back at the two of you.
You let go of Derek’s hand, inhaling deeply as you stood up.
“I’ll see you later,” you smiled softly, walking away.
---
You stood at the door, in front of the McCall’s house. Your phone had died before you had a chance to text Isaac. You knew he was staying with Scott now.
“(Y/N)? It’s been a while,” Melissa wrapped her arms around you tightly, snapping you out of your thoughts.
“Yeah, it’s been a while. How are you doing?” you stood next to her, walking into the McCall house as the two of you walked to the kitchen.
“Well, everything is crazy, but we’re managing,” she started.
You heard someone’s voice behind you, turning around as your face dropped.
“Agent McCall,” you said in a monotone voice.
“(Y/N),” he replied with the same tone.
“I think you need to get to work,” Melissa motioned to Agent McCall, glaring at him.
Before either of you said anything, he walked away.
“So… he’s staying with you,” you started.
“He’s on the couch, it’s nothing special,” she shrugged.
“I know it can't be easy,” you replied softly, putting a hand on your shoulder.
“As I said, I’m managing,” she smiled softly.
“Well, how about you sit down? I know Scott and Isaac probably aren't up yet, so I’m gonna make you some coffee and some breakfast,” you said, leading her to a chair.
“Oh, (Y/N), no,” she started.
“I insist,” you said.
She nodded softly, as you began making some eggs, and some coffee.
“Hey, Mrs.McCall, me and Scott,” you heard Isaac start as his face dropped, looking at you.
“Hey,” you said.
“Oh my god,” he ran to you, wrapping his arms around you tightly as you hugged him back.
“You’re… alive! Where have you been?! Why didn't you answer my calls? Or texts? Or tell me you’re okay? You’re back! Oh my god,” he began to bombard you as ran your fingers through his hair.
“I’ll explain it all later,” you shook your head.
“Uhm, no. You’ll take me to school and you’ll tell me everything,” Isaac tugged on your arm.
“Wait, I’m making Melissa breakfast you little needy. You need to sit down also,” you motioned to the chair as he rolled his eyes, sitting down.
You could see the smile on Melissa’s face as you continued making eggs for the four of you.
---
“That’s… something. No powers? At all?” he asked softly.
“Not until I figure this demon crap out. But being human is so boring,” you sighed.
“So, you basically, spent the last few weeks with Derek,” Isaac started, raising an eyebrow at you.
“What are you trying to say?” you frowned.
“Nothing, I’m just saying to use a condom,” you immediately smacked Isaac’s arm.
“Shut up. God, you're worse than Stiles,” you sighed.
“So, you’re telling me you don’t still like him?” Isaac asked.
“I didn't say that,” you shook your head.
“So you do like him,” Isaac said.
“I didn't say that either,” you sighed.
“I don’t get it,” Isaac shook his head.
“I’m saying that I don't want to talk about this right now, okay? Of course, I still care about him, but I’m not ready to forgive him for Jennifer. About what he said. I just don't want to talk about this, okay?” you raised your voice slightly, resting your head on your hand, and your elbow on your car window.
“I’m sorry,” Isaac said, his voice low.
“It doesn't matter. Sorry,” you shook your head.
“Well, for what it’s worth, you two belong together,” Isaac replied.
You scoffed slightly, driving into the parking lot of Beacon Hills High.
“Well, how are things going with you and Allison? Are you still madly in love with her?” you replied.
“We’re friends, okay? And Scott’s one of my best friends,” Isaac rolled his eyes.
“I thought you said Scott said it was okay,” you asked.
“He did. I still feel bad,” Isaac sighed.
“Well, that guilt is what makes you a good person,” you gave him a fake smile as he rolled his eyes.
You smirked, before hearing your phone off, getting a text from Derek.
“Hell no,” Isaac said, as you looked up, seeing the twins approach Scott.
“They’re… what's going on?” you frowned.
“So much crap has happened since you left. For example, Scott, Stiles, and Allison are going crazy. But that's not important right now, I’ll tell you later. I need to go help Scott,” Isaac grabbed his bag.
You kissed his forehead softly.
“Be careful,” he waved to you as he got out of your car, walking to Scott.
---
“Stop moving,” you glared, taking the needle as you stuck it into Peter’s finger, hearing him yell out.
“You know, you don't have to be so rough,” he winked as you pulled the string through his finger.
“That hurts,” he grunted.
“Good.”
You continued sewing his finger back on, as he continued whining. You ignored it, purposely pushing the needle into the wrong place.
“Okay, that’s enough,” Derek said, covering a small laugh.
“I don’t get why I can’t help you with this,” you shrugged.
“You don’t have powers. It’s just Peter,” Derek assured you.
“Exactly. It’s just Peter,” you sighed.
You turned to face Peter, before clenching your jaw, running your fingers through your hair as you sat down in front of him.
“So, now’s the part you tell me what I risked my life and digit for,” Peter said.
Derek looked at you, before opening the box, revealing Talia’s old claws. It was all that was left of her after the fire.
You held Derek’s hand softly, knowing this wasn't going to be easy for him.
“They’re all that was left of her after the fire. I need to ask her something, and this is the only way to do it,” Derek explained.
You laid the claws on the table, looking back at Peter then at Derek.
“Fine, but under one condition. I get to keep them afterward,” your face dropped as you gave Peter a look.
“Sentimental value. She was your mother, she was my sister,” you could tell Derek was holding back his tongue as he raised an eyebrow.
“What? Am I not allowed a little bit of sentiment?” Peter exasperated.
You looked at Derek, as he looked back at you. He motioned to Talia’s nails silently, asking you your opinion.
You shrugged, shaking your head. It was his choice.
“Fine,” Derek put the claws back into the box, handing them to Peter.
Peter smiled cheekily, as you got up, walking away with Derek.
“What do you think he wants with them?” you asked.
“I don’t know, but he can’t do anything that bad… right?” Derek asked.
You leaned against the wall, as he crossed his arms, standing in front of you.
“I have no idea. We’ll just have to keep a close eye on him,” you said.
“Well, let’s do this, yeah?”
---
You sat on your knees, in front of Derek while you held his hand, stroking it softly.
“Peter, I swear if something goes wrong, I’ll kill you,” you threatened.
“That won’t be my fault,” he replied.
“Whatever,” you glared at him, looking back at Derek.
 Derek opened his mouth to speak, before shutting his eyes tightly, squeezing your hand as Peter stuck Talia’s claws into the back of Derek’s neck.
You looked at Peter, as he breathed heavily, clearly struggling as Derek’s grip on your hand softened.
You waited there anxiously for a few minutes, before Peter pulled away, pushing away from Derek. Derek gasped for air, his face covered in sweat.
“What happened? What did you see? Did she say anything about me?” Peter immediately began asking Derek questions, as you stood up next to him.
“Are you okay?” you asked.
He nodded softly, clenching his jaw as he looked at Peter. His eyes were bloodshot as he looked up at you.
Peter continued to nag him, asking him about Talia as Derek ignored him. Derek stood up, pushing past Peter as he walked out of the loft.
“Derek?” you ran after him, running out of the loft.
---
“That’s… a lot. Peter’s the last person I’d expect to have a kid,” you stood outside the loft, leaning against your car door as Derek stood in front of you.
“Yeah, tell me about it,” Derek scoffed.
“Are you okay?” you asked softly.
“Yeah… I don’t think I realized how much I missed her,” Derek started.
“Don’t you ever miss your mom?” Derek asked.
“Well, I don't… sometimes I do. I don’t like thinking about her,” you shook your head softly
“It’s been almost 8 years and I… I still think about them. About all of them,” Derek said softly.
“But that’s normal. Derek, you went through something… something big,” you said.
“I lost just as much as you. You barely seem to think about it,” Derek raised an eyebrow.
“That’s… no,” you started.
“Your grandparents are dead, your mom’s siblings, all dead, you don't have any other cousins or any other family that’s still alive. Well, besides your dad… but,” you tensed slightly as you looked down, pushing your hair behind your ear.
“(Y/N)?” he said softly. Your eyes watered as you shook your head.
“My dad’s not… he’s dead,” you whispered.
Derek was silent for a minute before speaking.
“Do you wanna talk about it?” he asked.
“I lost control of my powers. I killed him,” you sniffled as you turned away from Derek.
“It's not your fault,” he stroked your cheek softly, turning your face to look up at him.
You looked up at him nervously, before inhaling deeply.
Screw it
You stood on your toes, leaning up as you pressed your lips against his.
Oh crap
You immediately regretted your actions as you broke the kiss, your face red as you shut your eyes in embarrassment.
He put his hands on your face, kissing you once more as you stumbled back slightly, hitting your car as it began to honk loudly.
You broke the kiss, as the two of you began to laugh.
“Nice way to end the night, yeah?” Derek smirked.
“Oh, shut up,” you scoffed.
You heard your phone go off, getting a text from Isaac.
“You have to go?” he asked.
You nodded softly, wrapping your arms around your waist.
“Then I’ll see you tomorrow,” he said.
“See you tomorrow,” you kissed him again, before leaving.
---
“Isaac,” you dropped your bags, running to him as he wrapped his arms around himself, rocking softly.
“What happened?” you wrapped your arms around him tightly, as he held onto you.
“I-It was so cold… I can’t stop thinking about… my dad, t-the freezer,” Isaac stuttered as his voice broke. You could feel his tears on your sleeve as you stroked his hair softly.
“What happened?” you asked.
“I-I don’t…” he began to hyperventilate, gasping for air as you shushed him, wrapping your arms around him tightly.
“You don’t have to talk, kid,” you whispered.
You heard Isaac cry softly, laying down in your lap, as you continued to hold him, running your fingers through his hair softly.

BLUE EYED WONDER PT. 3 (Isaac x Witch! SO):
⚫️summary; After Isaac is arrested under false murder accusations, Scott figures out he’s a werewolf, Lydia invites Y/N to the “hangout” with the boys and Allison, everything starts going wrong. On the day of March 9th, Y/N takes advantage of her and Isaac’s bond and trues to convince him Lydia is not the Kanima.
⚠️warnings; mentions of unaliving someone, swearing, implied smut, dirty behavior/talk, beacon hills shit because yes all of it is a huge warning, 18+ ONLY!! k thx bye!!
March 9th, 2011. I walked into Beacon Hills High with Scott on my trail followed by Stiles. "So you knew about Isaac.. And you.. you're a witch!? And why didn't you think that information needed to be shared, young lady?" Stiles begins the interrogation.
"Yeah, you easily could've said something the night we went over but instead you went and played footsie with him.. IN BED Y/N!" Scott's voice growing louder by the word. I abruptly stop at the last sentence and turn around, irises bright red causing them to stumble back. They quickly look around in hopes no one saw them afraid of their 5'3 best friend.
"I didn't say anything because I thought it was clear. i used to always do magic tricks for you guys and you never seemed to mind especially when Scott began a werewolf, I thought maybe they're used to the supernatural world, seeing as THEY'RE A PART OF IT! And with Isaac? He's literally Derek's only friend like, ever. So it wasn't a far stretch that he'd be a werewolf okay? Now keep my business down." I turn back around making my way to my locker to grab my notes for chemistry.
"Wait, so those magic tricks were real when we were kids? Awesome.." Stiles blurts out earning an eye roll from both Scott and I. I huff into my locker and begin to feel the same thing I always felt when Isaac was close by, a sense of calm growing in my chest. I look around and Scott takes notice.
"What is it? Why is your heart racing?" I hadn't noticed that it did that but apparently it did. It had been weeks since I last saw Isaac being dragged off the Lacrosse field by Sheriff Stilinski for murder charges. "It's nothing, I thought I heard something but I guess I was wrong. Now come on, can we please just let this go and get to chemistry? I'm exhausted enough as it is." I plead with the two.
"Fine but, you gotta show me your powers when we get back to your place. Deal?" Stiles compromises and Scott nods along excitedly.
"Ugh. Fine. I have an entire chest full of spell books and books about me anyway, you can read them aloud and I will perform." Planning a nice after school activity to help me rid my mind of if Isaac was okay or not. As we walk into chemistry we all sit down, I partner up with Lydia and Stiles and Scott sit in the table behind us.
I overhear them talking about a certain problem, being Isaac. Little to my knowledge these last few weeks he was on the run as a fugitive, Derek had been letting him stay at his loft. But, Derek had also been turning him against Lydia, in belief of Lydia being the Kanima we were all after.
"Please tell me it isn't who I think it is.. Scott.. Stiles.." I whisper as I turn around to confront them only to make eye contact with Erica and then Isaac who sat directly behind them. Isaac shooting me a wink and Scott turning back to look at me.
"Oh shit.." I turn back around both excited and confused as to how he was back. I hadn't really been in on the loop of the entire thing until last night so I'm guessing Jackson retracted his statement which made Isaac look guilty and like the number one suspect for his dad's death. We continued class and attempted to stop them from giving Lydia the Kanima venom to test and see if she was in fact the giant lizard who killed people every time the sun went down. When it was suddenly my turn to partner up with Isaac in the experiment.
"Hey princess, miss me?" He whispered into my neck quickly placing a kiss to my collarbone when no one was looking but I could very well sense Scott listening in. Isaac was not one to hide our relationship or attraction to one another from anyone, not even Derek. So this, wasn't a ruse or a plot to get me to spill anything on Lydia.
"Of course I did but you have to stop. It's not Lydia." I look him directly in those gorgeous blue eyes that I had missed so much and his gaze flickers to my lips. Mine following short after.
"I have to do this. If not for us, for Derek. He trusts me and the evidence is all there. She was immune to Peter's bite so, only one way to find out. I'm sorry." The teacher calls for us to switch again and I quickly grab my things in hopes of catching Lydia to be my partner but Isaac knocks my books over beating me to the punch.
"Sorry about that gorgeous, maybe next time." He sits next to Lydia who Allison had already warned not to talk to Isaac and looks over at me. I sit across the walkway from him listening in the entire time as Stiles and I fail to even try the experiment at hand. Lydia picks up the crystalized sugar covered in Kanima venom and Scott abruptly stands up shouting for her Lydia shoots him an annoyed look and takes a bite. Nothing. It was insane, it couldn't be real. She couldn't be the Kanima. The class ended soon after that and I grab Stiles' arm, making my way to my locker, Scott in tow.
"It's not possible. Tell me it's not possible. Scott!" I shout and Stiles clasps a hand over my mouth to shush me.
"Well to be fair Y/N/N you have missed a lot these last few weeks due to the whole 'I miss Isaac' episode you went through. And you saw, the venom did nothing to her. A snake can't be killed by their own venom. So." Stiles clarifies and Isaac is obviously listening in from his locker across from mine.
"So, my best friend is a giant man eating lizard who seeks revenge on people for what? Is there a pattern? Anything?" I ask Stiles and he shakes his head, Scott still too in awe of what had just happened to speak.
"We can't let them kill her, we have to find hard proof, video or actually see her turning into the Kanima." I make sure to focus my voice in Isaac's direction for him to hear me clearly and he slams his locker before walking to where I could only imagine Erica was. Had he changed? Was Derek doing this to him? Or was it guilt from his father dying the same night we slept together? I had to come up with a logical reason for Isaac basically switching over to the 'dark side'.
"I'll see you guys later I have to do something." I say shutting my locker and heading straight for Isaac. I walk up behind him and before he can turn around, Erica cuts in front of me.
"What do you think you're doing here." She growls at me.
"Listen bitch, this has nothing to do with you and as I am well aware you know, if you don't wanna be blown to bits I suggest you get out of my way." Heart steady and irises on full display. Isaac grabbing my arm to pull me closer to him.
"I wouldn't piss her off, Erica." He said, face adorned with that classic smirk of his. "Oh, is this the infamous Y/N Hale? Well honey, I think I can take you." Isaac's grasp tightening as I attempt to free from it.
"Don't, she's not our target, Lydia is. Focus, Erica."
"No, let her find out. Baby girl, I am not afraid of you, my brother or any other supernatural being known to man, got it? If you want a fight, you'll get it but I'll be the one walking away.." Erica scoffs, heart racing at the thought and just before I could pounce, Stiles comes by grabbing my arm.
"Okay! Hello! Y/N, let's go." He drags me away my hands shaking at the thought of ripping Erica to shreds.
"God! I fucking hate that girl, you get hot and all of a sudden you think you're the shit. Please, I'd like to see her try me." I mutter and Stiles shushes me as he walks me into the empty classroom.
"Listen, listen.. Husband privileges! You need to stay calm, so far from what you've told us you could very well blow the school up with one wrong move so please, Y/N.. Breathe.." He cups my cheeks pulling me into a hug. He knew I hated him using the 'husband' title against me even if it was a joke as kids, I always knew it was serious when he brought it up.
"I'm trying.. I just can't believe Derek would do something like this.. Trying to kill Lydia without any proof.. Without any solid evidence.. I.." I finally break. The only people who've ever seen me cry besides Derek, were Scott and Stiles. I guess Scott heard the ruckus and came rushing in.
"Hey, I just heard what happened from Isaac.. Why would you even think abo-.." He stopped when he saw me crying. Coming over to join the group hug we left school and headed to my place to come up with some form of evidence to prove to Derek that Lydia was innocent. Much to my dismay, Isaac had heard the whole thing from outside of the doors. Later that night he texted me, wanting to meet but before I could respond there was a knock at my door. Seeing Scott and Stiles fast asleep on the couch, I walk over and answer it.
"What're you doing here?" I sighed knowing exactly who it was.
"You cried.. But not because you were scared.. Because you were angry.. And I wasn't there.." I step out onto the porch and close the door behind me.
"I'm fine.. Just still learning to control my emotions so I can control my abilities.."
"Do you hate me?"
"Isaac.."
"Do you? I wouldn't be surprised.. I know what Derek's doing is insane but he saved me when I had no one but then, I had you.. For all of two weeks before everyone thought I killed my own father.."
"I didn't. Because that same night you were with me. And I don't hate you. I told you. I'll never hate you, Isaac."
"Well I guess you'll just have to keep telling me whenever I do something wrong."
"Or maybe stop doing crazy shit and we'll be okay."
"Can't promise that, not with our lives. Now can you please kiss me?" His eyes twinkling like stars in the darkest night sky. My hands make their way up his arms, one reaching behind his neck, pulling him down to me.
"Look who's begging now.. I missed you.."
"I missed you more.." I beamed at the confession and finally after weeks of wondering if he was even still alive, I got my guy back.

the winter witch - welcome to the fun house, blackwood.
Y/N - Your Name
Word Count - 1512
Prologue - Welcome to the Fun house, Blackwood.
Warnings - Death, filicide, swearing, all around shitty situation considering family beforehand.
Tumblr media
Moving 5.3 thousand miles at sixteen wasn’t exactly my plan but it’s what ended up happening. No GCSE taking, no getting drunk in a field on the last day or after prom. Instead it’s a flight to California to live with my older sister. Although I guess it was bound to happen given the circumstances and the only place, I could realistically go without being put into a bad situation was here, Beacon Hills in the Golden State. As if being a 16-year-old isn’t melodramatic enough, being one with issues and a fish out of water creates melodrama for a good year or so. The drive from the airport to Beacon Hills itself wasn’t too bad considering I fell asleep whilst my sister drove, there wasn’t much conversation, I guess she’s still in shock considering she had a much different experience in comparison to the one I had, not that I blame her. I think something simply snapped in them, mum was always murmuring to herself in a different language, it seemed as if it was Latin and dad would randomly snarl at people. I guess everyone has their points, but theirs led to them filicide, whereas others just simply have a breakdown and they have a support system. Not killing three of the four children in the home at the present time. Although Bea has been living in our great grandparents’ old house since she inherited it and done it up. Yet I have a feeling with her being a successful author helps to pay the bills.
It’s only when Bea pulls up in front of the house that I feel myself to get choked up. “How can you sit there so calm Bea? After what they did to Alastair, Blaze and Harry, how can you not be a bit more of a mess?” I question my sister, tears rolling down my face.
“Because Y/N, I didn’t see it like you did, it hasn’t processed in my head like it has for you. But I’m here for you now and I am going to be the big sister you’ve missed out on since I left.” Bea explains and she puts her arm around me across the centre console and I rest my head on her shoulder.
“I’m so sorry Bea, I should’ve done more to save them or to stop them.” I sob out.
“Hey, Y/N listen to me, it’s not your fault one bit now how about you come inside and meet Apollo, he’s dying to meet you and I am sure he’d love to give you all the cuddles in the world.” Bea tries to cheer me up and I sniffle and nod.
I hop out of Bea’s grey Toyota and grab my bags from the boot of her car and follow her up to the house after locking the car behind me. Bea is already at the door and after unlocking it and opening the door, a Pit Bull comes darting out the door and jumps up on my front and starts licking me. “Aw, hello little fella. Aren’t you the cutest guy around here huh?” I say dropping one of the bags so I can stroke him, and I can hear Bea laughing. “Okay, Apollo! Come here!” He gets down instantly and retreats to her and I pick up my bags and follow suit to the house. It’s only when I get inside, I really grasp how big the house is. “Jesus Christ Bea, when you said that the house was a bit bigger than what I’d be used to, I didn’t expect this. Fucking hell!” I exclaim in amazement and the scale of the downstairs area and how cosy it is at the same time. All Bea does is laugh.
“Hey, follow me, I’ll show you your room.” Bea suggests and I follow suit and gaze around the house as we walk and how the walls look so clean and modern with different prints from artists around ranging from simple line art to intricate landscapes. There are few photos, but I assume she has a majority of them in her room. That’s when we stop in front of an eggshell white wooden door. Bea ushers for me to go inside the room and it has a little corridor before opening up to the room which is simple and has a double bed with a wooden frame and white bedding. To the left there’s a door that leads to what I presume to be my bathroom which also doubles up as a wardrobe as well. I find myself gobsmacked. “Like it?”
“Like it? I love it!” I exclaim and hug her.
“I know it’s not much right now at least until your stuff from England gets here but you can decorate however you want it okay?” I simply nod at Bea.
“Thank you, seriously Bea.”
“It’s fine. Anyways, whilst I am working tomorrow, I need you to run some errands for me and when you are done with them, I’ll teach you how to drive and maybe we can watch some movies? You’ll be having to start school when it starts up again in January, so we have three weeks for you to adjust here.” I give her a small smile and that’s when she leaves me to my devices. That’s when I lie down on my bed and stare up at the ceiling, what adventures will come to me? I don’t know. Will I meet new people? Indefinitely. Do I have a feeling that this town has something to it? Yes. Am I going to find out? Now that is an answer that I don’t think anyone knows or would be willing to answer.
--------
Falling asleep in my clothes from the day prior was apparently a bad idea since it made me feel dirty as soon as I woke up. Rubbing the sleep from my eyes I quickly shower and get into some clean clothes. Wandering through the house I end up in the kitchen and I find a list of errands for me to do today and underneath is another note to give to someone called Deaton? I shrug and put them in my pockets so I can get some breakfast before leaving.
Just as I am about to put the bread in the toaster, I hear Bea shout my name. “Yeah?” I question. “I’ve got a friend coming around so let him in when he gets here please!”
“Sure!” I reply and turn back to the toaster and push them down.
Yet just as they pop out of the toaster the doorbell rings. “I’m coming!” I pull the toast out and drop it on the plate before sliding towards the door and slipping back as I open the door due to wearing socks on a clean laminate floor. I fall on my ass as the door swings open to reveal a dark figure in a leather jacket and seems to have a case of resting bitch face to me. He looks down at me. “Hi.” He awkwardly greets and offers me a hand up.
“Hi, I’m Y/N, Bea’s younger sister. You must be…” I trail off.
“Derek. Derek Hale. It’s nice to meet you Y/N, can I ask where’s your sister?” He questions and I step away from him due to the proximity.
“I think she’s in her study, I’m sure you’ll know where that is because I sure as hell don’t. Now if you don’t mind me, I’ve got some toast with my name on it. It was nice meeting you Derek.” I explain and give him a sincere smile.
“You too Y/N” he returns with a smile and heads down the nearest corridor presumably to Bea’s study. I close the door behind him and head back to the kitchen. As I sit there eating my toast I notice my iPad lighting up with messages from Facebook messenger from my friends back at home. I elect to ignoring it and go back to eating my food when a shiver runs down my spine. Ha, it must be somebody walking over my grave. That’s how the saying goes right?
I finish up my food and head out to do the errands that Bea has requested. I stop by the animal clinic where I am met with a boy my age with an uneven jaw. “Hi, is Deaton here? I have something for him from my sister.” I explain to him and he explains that he’s just gone to pick something up from the shop, or store as he called it.
“So, are you new in town?” He questions.
“Let me guess you could tell from the accent?” I return and he chuckles.
“Just a bit, do you know your way around town?” I shake my head. “After Deaton gets back, I’m meeting with my friend Stiles, if you want we can show you around.” What sort of a name is Stiles?
“You know what I’ll take you up on that offer…”
“Scott. Scott McCall.”
“Nice to meet you Scott McCall, I’m Y/N Blackwood.”

Imagine showing off your powers to Isaac.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anon requested: “Can I get an imagine of Isaac x fem!reader where she shows him her witch powers for the first time?”
~~~~~~~~
The two teenagers walked through the dark woods, trying to find Isaac’s phone. He had dropped it somewhere last night and swore up and down that it was somewhere in the huge forest. Y/n was about ready to either die of boredom or suggest that her boyfriend get a new phone, because although she loved him she did not love walking in the woods at night.
Walking for another ten minutes, y/n got an idea to relieve her boredom. “Hey Isaac, wanna see a magic trick?” The werewolf turned to face her with a raised eyebrow.
“What, did you bring a deck of cards or something?”
“Oh I brought something alright.”
“Fine, let’s see it.” Y/n shut her eyes and held out her hands, palm facing upwards. For a moment nothing happened. At least, until Isaac noticed that the plants around them were starting to glow. Not very much, but it was noticeable in the dark of the night.
“Holy shit.” Opening her eyes, y/n gave Isaac a sheepish grin.
“Uh...surprise?”
Isaac nodded, still slightly stunned. “Yeah, surprise really does cover it.”
Someone I used to know
Tumblr media
Summary: Y/N finally moved on from her broken heart. Will a ghost from her past change that?
Pairing: Brett Talbot x witch!reader; Isaac Lahey x witch!reader
Warnings: indications of smut, cursing, mentions of death and abuse
Word count: ~ 2k
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I was awoken abruptly by my alarm clock ringing. I groaned and went to pull the covers over my head when I felt an arm wrap around me. I gasped in surprise and turned to face the human this arm belonged to. To my utmost pleasure it wasn't a human, rather a werewolf. My werewolf.
„Morning Beauty“ he spoke with a lazy smile on his face.
„Morning Beast“ I reply flinching at the raspiness in my voice.
I've been exclusive with Brett for almost 7 months now, although our flirtations began sometime during the dread doctors debacle. It took me a while to let him in as my heart was still broken from my previous “relationship”, but I've never once regretted it.
Brett was like a dash of fresh air. He made me laugh like no other, he understood me, he listened. Every Monday morning he'd show up at my school with a bouquet of sunflowers because he knew how much I love them. Sometimes he'd sneak inside my room during the night and we'd spend the night cuddling. This apparently happened last night as I was in shock to find him in my bed.
„I can't believe I didn't hear you come in last night“ I murmur and lean closer to him.
„You were sleeping like you were dead“ he smirked and leaned in connecting our lips in a long kiss. He placed his hand on my waist and drew me closer deepening the kiss. As we parted I saw his eyes glow a golden yellow and lips curve up into a smile and I couldn't help but smile back. His kisses always made me breathless, and I was always smug about being able to make his true eyes show. I loved his golden hues.
„We'll be late, but we could have some fun“ he says with a flirtatious tone as his face inches closer to my neck. He knows that once he kisses my neck my resistance will crumble. After just a few delicate touches of his warm, gentle lips my hands will start to do his bidding. I felt a hot breath on my neck, then the tender brush of his lips, burning as they make contact with my neck. A hand runs through my hair, as the kisses become harder and more urgent. Another hand slides around my waist, and pulls me close to his pine scented body.
I was pulled out of the trance by my phone ringing.
„Leave it“, he says as he nibbles on my lower lip.
„It could be Scott.“ I state pulling away and he releases a low growl at the loss of contact. Caller ID showed Liam and I showed Brett and got him even more worked up.
„Ignore him“ he tries to convince me, but I just shake my head and answer the call.
„Hey, Liam, what's up?“ I answer casually.
„One: you two are late. Two: Scott told me to tell you to come to practice today, it's urgent.“ Liam starts making me roll my eyes.
„What's so urgent that it can't wait half an hour longer?“ I ask as I send a coy smile in Brett's direction making him groan and bury his face in a pillow.
„Just trust me, okay?“ Liam says with annoyance in his voice and I roll my eyes once more.
„Fine! We'll be there in 10.“ I reply and get up. Throwing my phone into my bag I go to the bathroom to freshen up. Brett walks up behind me and kisses my shoulder lightly and leans his head in the crook of my neck as I brush my teeth.
„We need to get ready“ I mumble leaning into him, feeling his heart beating that always calms me down.
„I know, I just wanna enjoy this moment a little longer.“ He replies in a whisper and leaves a kiss right below my ear making me shiver.
„You're really cheesy sometimes“ I reply and finish up my morning routine. No glamorous make up today, just a touch of my favorite shade of red lipstick.
We arrive to school about five minutes later than usual. Brett goes to the locker-room to get ready as he agreed to help Liam train in order to keep his wolf side in check. Apparently every supernatural creature was slowly losing control over their abilities, but me. I should have mentioned I'm a witch. I'm not quite on the Bonnie Bennet level, but I'm getting stronger.
I walk to the bleachers and find Mason and Liam conversing. Noticing me approaching Liam stops talking and looks at me like a deer caught in headlights.
„Why are you being all suspicious?“ I raise an eyebrow and he turns to Mason and they begin their weird rambling with a sole purpose of lying their asses off, but I wasn't having it.
„One of you answer my question, slowly, coherently.“ I order and they both stiffen and start arguing about who will be the lucky one to piss me off.
Anger started flickering in my eyes as irritation rolled off me in waves and I knew Liam could sense that too. Just as I was about to resort to yelling I felt a familiar pair of arms wrap around me and I instantly relaxed.
„How did you manage to piss of my girl in a matter of five minutes this time DuMbar?“ Brett questions as Liam rolls his eyes.
„Where's Scott? Why am I needed here?“ I add.
„Come with us on the field and you'll see why“, he says making me narrow my eyes in suspicion. What the hell is going on?
I walk slowly to the field with Brett, hand in hand, and just as we enter I look left and see exactly why Scott asked me to come. My heart dropped and my head was spinning. He was here.
„What's with the mood change“, Brett asks, worry laced in his voice.
„That guy right there“ I point to HIM, „He's the one that broke my heart“ I say with a slightly shaky voice and Brett looks up swiftly to see him better.
„So that's Isaac Lahey.“ He states and I nod.
Just as Brett said his name, Isaac turned in our direction and he visibly paled. I guess he didn't know I was coming here either. He turned to Scott and they started whispering vigorously back and forth and I rolled my eyes for the third time this morning and turned to my boyfriend only to see him staring intently at Isaac.
„Hey, you okay?“ I ask him, putting a hand on his cheek.
„He's kinda hot“ he replies making my jaw drop.
„Brett, don't you dare make googly eyes at my ex!“ I exclaim making him laugh lightly.
„Someone jealous?“ He questions with a raised eyebrow and a cocky smile.
„Teeny tiny bit“ I answer honestly and hug him, leaning my head on his chest seeking comfort in the sound of his heartbeat. I'm startled by a low growl rumbling through his chest a few moments later and I look up too see him looking behind me as Isaac was sitting on the bleachers and staring at me.
„Who's jealous now?“ I ask with a smirk and pull him in for a kiss. After that is the heady bliss, feeling his emotions in lips so full of love. There is something unique in all the world about our kiss, and it is that we love one another down to our souls - a sacred bridge between two minds, two souls, two bodies. Brett and I were real, true love kind of real. I was his anchor and he was mine. Nothing was going to change that. Not even Isaac.
As we pull apart he gives me one last peck and a wink before pulling his helmet down and running off to piss off Liam as much as he could. I turn to the man sitting on the bleachers who was now staring at his hands and walk to the other end, refusing to sit next to him.
About five minutes later I felt his presence next to me. I thought he got the message, but apparently I was wrong.
„Hi.“ Isaac says quietly reminding me of the shy boy he used to be when we were growing up.
I look at Brett as he takes his helmet off and gives me a 'is he bothering you' look and I just shake my head.
„Hi.“ I reply calmly and turn to look at him.
Isaac was just as beautiful as I remembered. His dark blonde hair was still perfectly curly making my stomach twist as I remembered how it felt to run my fingers through those soft curls. His large, deep-set blue eyes bore into mine almost as he looked for something he cared for dearly but lost along the way. He wasn't as pale as he used to be...I guess running away from the supernatural drama to France did him good.
„I missed you.“ He states making me scoff.
„Don't even go there.“ I say and look away. I forgot how honest and straightforward he became since the bite. I was used to the shy, timid Isaac. That's mostly how I chose to remember him.
It's a cliche, really. Boy and girl meet, become good friends. Girl falls for the boy and thinks he loves her too, only for him to fall for her friend and run away after her death without a word. I was always there for him, no matter what. Sometimes I was there to let him vent about his dad, sometimes to patch him up after his dad took his frustrations on him, other times to give him a place to stay when things got way out of hand.
I loved him, thinking he was the one, thinking he might love me back, and that's when Derek gave him the bite. He became an arrogant, power-hungry ass that didn't mind hooking up with anything that moved. First, there was Erica, and then there was Allison. Watching them become closer and start falling for each other broke apart pieces of my heart that I thought I'd never get back. Brett pieced me back together and I will always love him for that.
„I'm just saying how I feel.“ Isaac responds.
„So was I. You don't get to disappear for a year and a half without a word and just waltz back here expecting me to wait for you with open arms.“ I remark harshly.
„Oh, I'm so sorry I'm not perfect as you. I was broken and lost and I needed to get away. I needed to do something for myself and I did it. Doesn’t seem like you were lonely without me anyways.“ He replies matching my harsh tone.
„You were broken? Ever though about how I felt? I didn't just lose Allison that night, I lost you too. My best friend, the guy I was madly in love with, I discovered I had supernatural abilities! My life was spiraling and I had no one to talk to as you were the only one I was close enough to talk about all that. You were broken? Well, you broke me too! You can’t blame me for fixing what you broke. Brett made me whole again!“ I shout losing my cool as wind started blowing a bit too fast for a sunny day. My powers were getting out of control.
„You were in love with me?“ He asked stunned by this information.
„I was...not anymore...As far as I'm concerned you're just somebody I used to know.“ I reply and walk towards Brett who was already heading in my direction as he felt the wind pick up.
Brett wraps his arms around me and rubs soothing circles on my back.
„Are you alright, my Beauty?“ He questions lifting my chin up to look into my eyes.
„When you're with me? Always, my Beast.“ I answer honestly as he leans in and gives me a light kiss.
Walking out of the field I notice the net was ripped.
„You did that?“ I ask and he shakes his head.
„Liam. He's losing it.“ He replies and I lean into his side continuing our walk.
Little did I know there was someone else who noticed the ripped net, and that someone did not suspect Liam, rather my boyfriend.
