There once was a girl who wished to share her wishes. So one day she began folding a paper crane and put a number on it, to remember at which day she was. And day after day the cranes grew and the girl folded one every evening, before bedtime. She folded it and she wished for someone to hold on their own wish a little longer. She wished each and every crane a happy, a bright future and even brighter wish. And one day, couple of years from now, she'll be left with no cranes and 1000 sparks of wishes flying away to meet their destiny.

I know that's not how the legend goes but I'm fulfilling my own wish every single day that goes by, and I want to be selfish and lend a little wish spark to others who may need it, today, tomorrow, in one year or two.

One paper crane won't change the world or someone's life, maybe 1000 of them will, maybe not.

But in this city sleeping in the coldness of January there is a girl who will try.
