#wish it wasn't taking up so much mental real estate

To me, the Jedi worshippers complaining about how Dave Filoni is ruining Star Wars, is sounding increasingly indistinguishable from all the chuds complaining about how Kathleen Kennedy is ruining Star Wars.

Wish He’d Never Said That (A “Can You Keep A Secret?” Story)
Enjoy the time where I wrote a The Mentalist series. Reposting from my main!
Wish He’d Never Said That - Right now she wishes Wayne had never opened up his mouth...
Read @ AO3 | Buy Me A Coffee? | Send Me A Prompt
It wasn't until she was in the car on her way to the real estate agent's house that what Wayne had said really hit her. Of course, he was doped up on painkillers so she wasn't sure how much of it she could believe, or how much of it he'd remember when he finally sobered up, but he'd said it and it was stuck in her head and she just could not get the words to stop ringing through her mental blocks.
He hadn't simply said he liked her. He said the other L word, the one that immediately sent all of her defenses up. Love. He said he loved her. She was sure she should be taking it with a grain of salt, considering the overmedicated state he was in, but something about it, about how easily he'd chosen that specific L word...it worried her.
Because as much as she wanted to completely deny she had any feelings for him, she couldn't. And that was going to make everything so much harder.
She didn't want to lose her job. She loved her job...right now, it was the most important thing in her life. And, sadly, it was also the only thing in her life. With traveling up and down the state for various cases she didn't have time for a lot else in her life. Certainly no time for a boyfriend who was willing to put up with the hectic schedule she had. Sometimes she just barely had enough time and energy for a good homemade meal and a restful night's sleep.
But that night of restful sleep had been more and more elusive lately. Part of it was that her sleep schedule was a little more messed up than usual from late night surveillance duties, but another part of it was that she was sleeping alone and she was getting more and more tired of it. She wanted to share her off time with someone. She wanted to have someone to maybe go home too. Not necessarily a husband, but maybe a serious boyfriend.
And all the protocol at work hadn't stopped her from thinking that maybe Wayne might be someone to go home too. Not that she ever would, because as she kept telling herself, she loved her job and didn't want to lose it, especially over a guy. But still. Her mind wandered sometimes and played around in "what if" scenarios, and when reality came crashing in again she just threw herself into the job more to help her forget.
Lately, though, it hadn't been working. She'd almost thought about asking Lisbon to pair her with Cho more often. Anything to keep her from being in an intimate enclosed space with Wayne, because it was driving her nuts. But she knew if she did that it'd come off looking bad, so she just suffered in silence.
And then he had to go and say something. She really hoped that when the pain pills wore off he'd forget he said anything, and she could just pretend that moment hadn't happened, that she was blissfully unaware that he might have any feelings for her and that things could get back to how they were supposed to be, without any possibility of any relationship ever hinting at the horizon.
Because if they didn't, she really didn't know what she'd do.

Really want to read Peter meeting the "Vampire mafia" now!!
Anon, I really hope you're happy with yourself for making me look stuff up on the Twilight wiki!
On with the fic!
--
"I feel like I'm in a tomb..." Peter whispered to Aro as they walked through grand, cold halls within the villa that the Volturi called home. Peter had to admit, it was beautiful to look at, clearly expensive, old, and the work of a master craftsman, but it was so...
Hollow.
It was like a building that was built to symbolize only one thing, death.
And he was at the mercy of the occupants of this death estate, with one of the owners walking alongside him. Aro was the only one Peter could trust, that much he knew, he didn't even trust the human servants walking with them towards the main room!
And what a main room it was. It was large, spacious, reminded Peter of a tomb more than the rest of the building, like that of one for a fucking king or something. In the middle were three thrones, onyx and gold, probably expensive as well. And seated in two of them were two very pale men, dressed in a similar fashion to Aro.
One was an older man, with black hair and no expression on his face, he looked like a nearly perfect statue, until he blinked.
The other was younger, with pale hair and something in his eyes that made Peter's blood run cold.
"Aro," The older vampire spoke, "it appears that you've finally brought your... project to us."
"Yes, it took you long enough." The other one said. "We were beginning to wonder if he really did exist or not."
"Oh, I'm very real." Peter snipped. "Just ask your creepy twins, they'll tell you."
Aro gave him a look, then did a quick gesture to indicate that said creepy twins were in the room with them. Fuck! There were other vampires here, how had Peter not notice them!?
He decided to keep his mouth shut.
Aro sighed and then smiled. "Gentlemen, allow me to introduce you to my personal hitman, Peter Vincent. Peter, these are the other members of the Volturi leaders, Marcus," he gestured to the older one, "and Caius." Then to the younger one.
Peter decided to bow his head in greeting.
"He doesn't seem all that impressive." Caius frowned. "He looks easy enough to break, physically and mentally. How have you not converted him, Aro?"
Aro's eye twitched, but his smile remained. "You'd be surprised on how stubborn humans can be sometimes, Caius. This man is very difficult." Peter snorted at that, but was ignored. "But this gift is amazing, not even dear Bella's own can counter as much as his can."
Caius didn't seem impressed, but there was a small uptick in Marcus' eyebrow.
"And how is that so?" Caius asked. "The girl is already enough trouble as it is, how is he more of a threat? He looks... weak."
Peter wanted to grab for the knife he kept hidden on him, but even he knew he didn't stand a single chance against either of those two. From what Peter knew, Marcus had a gift, but Caius didn't, yet that didn't mean he wasn't a threat. The legends did state that Caius was the most ruthless, even more so than Aro, and he was the fucking leader!
"We'll have to show an example then." Marcus said, eyes on Peter, it was so hard to read him.
Aro nodded and turned to the vampires in the room. "Who wishes to try their gift on my hunter? Hm?"
Jane stepped forward, there was a burning look on her face. "I'd like to try my hand again."
"Still bitter about last time?" Peter asked, because self-preservation was not his strong suit. Aro lightly swatted the back of his head.
Jane's face hardened and a scowl came over her. "Pain." She said in a low voice and Peter braced himself.
Yet, like before, nothing happened.
He was perfectly fine.
There was murmuring from the other vampires as the quietly whispered amongst themselves. Jane seethed before stepping back close to her brother.
Peter crossed his arms, looking around. "Anyone else wanna try? I could ask Aro, but you'd just have to take his word for it."
"Don't be smart, human." Caius said, teeth bared, but Marcus held up a hand. He removed himself from his throne and approached Peter, looking him up and down, before holding out his hand.
Peter was hesitant, before looking at Aro, who nodded. He let the vampire take his hand, and let him use his gift, but Peter felt nothing. He couldn't really remember what this man could do, but he was sure it was something powerful.
Marcus frowned just a little and let go. "I can't read him either, it's blank, there is nothing."
This got the murmurs to turn into full on chatter and shouting.
"How is that possible?" Someone exclaimed. "How are there two humans who can do that?"
"I'd like to know that to." Peter spoke up. "I kinda wanna know why you guys can't affect me or whatever. I mean, it's not like I've got a great poker face, been told I'm pretty expressive."
"That you are." Aro said before holding up his hands, and the room settled down. "It seems that I was telling the truth about this human, that he is gifted in his own right, to not be affected by our powers. Now, does that make him a threat?"
There were shouts of yes.
"Well, of course, and he is a very skilled hunter, even if he doesn't look it."
"Oi!" Peter huffed.
"But I've hired him to work for us, taking care out bothersome vampires, of the newborns that only cause senseless destruction, and to take care of political enemies. In due time, he could be one of us, but for now, is it not helpful to have a human hunter on our side? To take care of problems for us?"
There was chatter, whispers in Italian and other languages that Peter didn't understand, but he could sense they were talking about him, obviously.
Aro's attention was on his fellow leaders, Marcus didn't seem to care, but Caius looked pissed. "This is a risk, Aro. You're gambling with a human here."
"As if I haven't done that before." Aro said, his tone low. "As if none of us have, gentlemen. I know what I'm doing."
Peter felt like the temperature in the room suddenly dropped, even though it was a hot, summer day. The room was deathly quiet as Aro approached the thrones and started to speak to the men, in a language that Peter couldn't quite understand, but he assumed it was Latin. There's a huge difference between speaking it and reading it.
Marcus seemed to give pause after Aro finished speaking to the two men, then gave a nod. Caius spoke back in Latin, earning what sounded like a tongue lashing from Aro in return, before he snarled and then nodded.
Aro turned, smiling at the crowd. "It is decided, the human is protected by the Volturi and will be used to hunt for us."
He then stepped up to Peter, motioning for him to be guided out of the room. Peter didn't miss it when Aro looked back at the other Volturi members, his eyes hard, cold, and very dark.
--
I dunno if I wrote Marcus or Caius correctly, I only watched the first movie (and read the first book), and then just skipped through everything else except for scenes containing Aro because he's the only thing I like about these movies.
But anyway, I don't care, I just wanted Aro defending Peter in a sense.

Wholesome Frat AU, Clearly aged up, college au, main characters are Bakugou, Kirishima, Denki, Sero, Jiro, Mina, and of course you my dear reader. Sexual themes, mentions of drugs and booze through out.
AHEM
Chapter 1
Denki lies upside down off his bed, staring at his phone when another invite to a party comes through. It's from a classmate he shares notes with and one of the few non toxic dudes on campus. A smile forms on his face, his fingers ready to fly across the screen to confirm his Friday night to be golden and one to remember.
Or maybe wish to remember as alcohol and maybe some weed numb his senses.
But then the location comes through, a frat house that's notorious for ignorance and low key rape culture. He turns it down claiming to study and sighs. Staring at his shared four walls from the top bunk.
"What's going on with you? No one wants you to keep their bed warm tonight?" Sero teases passing him up a beer before starting the next round of his game. Preferring to get buzzed and troll in Apex lobbies than find somewhere to be tonight.
Their phones buzz at the same time, Kirishima coming through on the group chat.
Big Red 🦈 : Any plans tonight boys?
Boomboi 💣 : Fuck off, busy.
Tape dispenser 🎞 : Apex
Zaptos ⚡: got invited to a party but location is sus af. You bro?
Big Red 🦈 : Yikes 😬 Keepin some ladies safe. Don't like the scene here…
Tape dispenser 🎞 : Same
Zaptos ⚡: Same
Boomboi 💣:  FUCK OFF!
Denki and Sero both smirk at their phones before moving on with their Friday night with small talk of Instagram stories and received risque snapchats. As the beer fridge gets dwindles  their thoughts seem to grow.
"Okay, listen. Here me out!" Denki says as if Sero would ever come off defensive. He finishes his eighth beer before continuing.
"What if we started our own frat? Like...like a fucking wholesome one."
"Dude not only does that sound impossible but what would we call ourselves?" Sero chuckles nursing his seventh beer. Denki pauses for a moment, trying to think of something, anything great.
"Alpha Kappa Wholesome." He smiles, "Yea that's it!"
Sero laughs from his bottom bunk earning an angry faced Denki to put half of his body over the side of his bed.
"I'm serious man! We could kick out whoever doesn't match our values. This college is supposed to be about making 'lasting connections' with fellow heroes! How are we supposed to do it when we are cooped up in our tiny dorm!" He gestures to their cramped room. A set of bunk beds and desks with their TV and shared dresser on the far wall. Sero looks around, this sure as hell wasn't like the dorms at UA that's for sure.
"Okay well two people isn't enough for a frat, man." Sero lets the dream die before it can bloom, running a hand through his raven hair. Denki scrunches up his face before he remembers where his crush stays.  It's as if a light bulb lit up atop his upside down head. He jolts himself falling from the top bunk crashing into the empty beer bottle. They clink in protest but thankfully non break, just roll beneath the bottom bunk.
"But there is a sorority of only four and we have four friends in our group!"
Denki decides now is a good time to face time them. Kirishima answers first with a shout that he's gonna step outside, the roaring party and flashing lights die behind the shutting door while Bakugou is illuminated by the light of his screen glaring into the camera while a meek looking girl hides.
"This better be fucking good." Bakugou growls.
After an hour and a half of screaming Denki finally convinces Bakugou that sharing a house with the three of them as opposed to a rando was a much better idea. Reminding him that he had done it for three years in highschool surely he could last two more. He agrees but refuses to help argue with the dean meanwhile Kirishima is GLOWING with excitement over the idea formulating with his sober mind the best way to handle the notorious harsh Dean.
It takes petitions, several meetings and almost til the spring break to come down to this, the final meeting. Bakugou, who has attended every meeting and true to his word has said nothing. Denki nervous as a sinner in church, Sero who's sweating bullets and Kirishima all sit in the room with the board, treasury and the Dean in a final meeting of sorts.
Kirishima gulps and before he can explain the benefits the frat will have to offer the Dean stops him with a simple show of his hand. Taking a report from the secretary of treasury to look over, he just needed the monetary excuse to back up his favorite word.
"No." He clears his throat, "Unfortunately funds are too low to be able to support another fraternity." The Dean leaves it at that not even bothering to offer they join something preexisting.
Three of the four men accept defeat, mentally communicating that they did a good job trying. But the fourth man dreamed of his own room, of his own space to do as he pleased. And all without threat of being charged with murder. Although the fourth man would never admit that the reason he spoke up wasn't totally about the room, it was the look of defeat, anguish on his friends faces that had the room heating up a degree or two and smelling heavily of boiling sugar.
"Oi, toupee." The hot head let's his seat fall back to all fours, fixing the Dean a withering look, "You said something about not enough money huh?"
The Dean swallows thickly carefully thinking out his next sentence.
"Why, Yes its…." Bakugou interrupts before the Dean can even finish his thought.
"Pretty sure I'm the reason this campus is gonna be swarming with fucking no name extras next year." Katsuki's smile widens as his hand pops, "If you deny this request with the money I'm making you then I'll participate in the university sports festival with another college's across my fucking chest."
The Dean visibly sweats, Bakugou really was a hard student to land. His brash attitude and unapologetic behavior was popular among the younger generation bringing with it an influx of applicants and donations. It hadn't even been 24 hours since his announcement did it crash the admin and donation site. He panics, not even sure if there is any real estate available on or around campus in order for him to legally allow this fraternity to flourish. As if reading his mind the secretary of grounds offers him a file, an old run down home within a decent walking distance of the main campus. The Dean exhales the breath he didn't realize he was holding.
"Let's not act so rash. It has just come to my attention that we have some extra funding to be able to purchase a place for you all…" He looks over the file, he hopes this is enough to placate the hot head, "But it will need some old fashioned sweat equity, if we can secure it. The town has been kind enough to offer us first dibs to real estate within a certain radius of campus and if they like our offer you hardworking men will have your 'Alpha Kappa Wholesome home."
"They better like your offer." Is all Bakugou says before standing, "We get the keys in a month, got it?"
He doesn't give the Dean time to rebuttal, he just leaves while the other shocked three follow suit. It isn't until they are in the courtyard does their excitement hit them all at once.
"HOLY SHIT BAKUBRO ALWAYS COMING IN ON THE FUCKING KLUTCH!" Denki shouts, tackling Bakugou into a hug, Sero and then Kirishima wrap their arms around the yelling hot head who threatens to blow them up.
"I owe you a fucking drink!" Kirishima shouts lifting the group and twirling them
"OI OI OI SHITTY HAIR PUT ME DOWN!"
After that promised drink and a month of waiting the four musketeers stand before their new home. The house is trashed, easily a short sale of a foreclosure as the rent went higher but their wages stayed low. The amount of work to make this place semi decent was going to be astronomical at best.
Bakugou is thoroughly unimpressed, scoffing as Denki runs up the porch. The vision is clear in the electric blonde's head. The massive porch is clean, with a swing and some chairs, string lights hanging from the wooden ceiling while the half wrapped around, second story porch is draped in endless artificial star light cloaking the house in cozy warmth.
Dneki opens the front door and plume of dust rushes out around him, the other two follow suit. Taking the steps two at a time as they rush into the house. Harsh garnet stares after them before glancing at their luggage. He decides to leave it all stepping inside.
Their imaginations run rampant as they stand beneath the large archway to the main living room while Bakugou begins to second guess opening his mouth. That or getting more money from the Dean. Before displeasure can leave the hot head his friends turn to face him, their eyes shining and smiles stretched wide, wide enough it begins to hurt Bakugou's own cheeks. They encourage him to step into the home more, telling him what will go where. For a moment his smile is soft, tender as he looks at these three idiots seeing the bright side of everything before he steels back into his normal self.
"Oi! Quick acting all googly eyed. We've got a lot of work to do and a lot of fucking money to raise."
The four friends spend majority of their spring term picking rooms and doing basic cleaning. Bringing only one of the two full bathrooms up to par, trying their best to keep up with the old big house. Even after all of them picked their rooms there were still three bedrooms and a den with a door left. They brain stormed adding recruits but Bakugou shot the idea down despite Sero being elected the president of the frat.
Spring boils into summer, bringing with it the promise of cold hard cash. Bake sales and lunch deals thanks to Bakugou's cooking skills brought in a large amount of income, so did the odd jobs Kirishima, Denki, and Sero found themselves doing. Still they find themselves short.
"Shirtless carwash!" Denki announces earning a glare from Bakugou. Kirishima pipes up before the idea is blasted sky high.
"Think of the money man. The community around here is soccer mom's and freshly graduated college kids and I don't know about yall but when I go for a run or hit up the corner store after a good run I'm being stared at."
"That's a valid point Bakugou. I've seen how they flock to you for baked goods, they've been staring at your arms and eyes man." Sero adds voting yes to the idea making it three to one.
Just as Kirishima said, woman and even some men, flock to the area for a car wash. Some even coming back twice in one day! The cash flow is good but still a bit lacking. Denki wipes the sweat from his brow as he wonders how they will get enough to be able to get decent light fixtures and a working fridge in the dorm. Let alone anything aside from a blown up mattress and folding chairs in the living room. He scrolls through his social media on his break and comes across the miracle he has been asking for.
A lovely summer picture of four women in bikinis, three of them his housemates have lived with before. Mina Ashido, Jiro Kyoka,  Ochako Uraraka, and then there is the new woman, you.
But what makes the picture that much sweeter isn't even the content itself, no it's that gorgeous caption just beneath it.
"BASIC BITCH CAR WASH! Help us raise money for an apartment so our sorority doesn't get disbanded!"
An idea formulates in the electric blondes head so quickly he thinks sparks fly from his ears. A dangerous smile forms on Denki Kaminari's lips.

Good morning!I haven't been on here in a year but I've been binging on your messages because I love your replies and I crossed paths with an anon that I could relate to 100%.She was the one in a relationship with a white man and I think his mom died.I went through that last year with my ex, white, older boyfriend. It was my first time getting involved with someone who wasn't black.I had been single for years. We got to know each other by spending time together everyday, face timing, talking on the phone and texting every single day.We did that for a month then went on our first date.He was a gentleman and very sweet. He opened up to me about all his childhood traumas(even though he felt like none of it was trauma and some what normal). He opened up about being abandoned by his drug addict father who did drugs and would actually take him with him to get high,he was abusive to his mom etc.He was also open about his previous marriages. He was married two times also.I decided to not judge him based on his past but I was paying very close attention.Trust me.He also told me at one point in his younger years he did drugs and I think his dad got him into using. He had turned his life around and I was the polar opposite of the type of women he usually got involved with.He couldn't believe he met someone like me(I think most men tell women that lol) and it was so random because we met through a mutual friend and at first,I wasn't interested in getting with a white guy. After we started dating and discussed the direction we wanted things to go,he asked me to be his girlfriend and I said yes.Not too long after I met his family. He wanted me to meet his mom because she was very sick and he didn't know how much longer she had.I got along with everyone and eventually started being around them quite a bit.His mom and I were so close.Fast forward to his mom's death. It wrecked him, supposedly.I say supposedly because he said it did but he stopped talking to me and kept in touch with everyone else.I feel like,if you're not interested in talking to anyone then why am I the only one being ignored? We had no problems before and only had one argument. When discussed,he said he was mad at me because I kept repeating myself during the argument and he heard me that first time.Personally I believe it was a case of...older men being stuck in their ways/thinking a woman is trying to change them...and that's why he stopped with the calls, texts and coming around. We did talk again about things weeks later and he said he... figured some things out about himself since she died etc.I was like, okay but that's no reason to act how you've been acting.
I believe he was mad that I talked to him about eating better, drinking more water and not drinking so much soda, working out to be healthier, going to church etc.You know basic things some men wish a woman would be down with because he knew I ate healthy, worked out and attend church.I even tried to help him get his credit together and teach him about real estate because I was learning about real estate and figured, why not include him?I did notice his friends were into very basic things and liked to do wild stunts, play video games, party and just go with the flow... basically... people who have the mentality like... I'll just take what life gives me and be okay with that. Not good thinking especially for people who are 40+ and have children,I think.I didn't know much about his friends until later via Facebook because he's originally from Texas and all of them are still there and Colorado.
But in the end he just wanted to be stuck in his ways and not change certain things to better himself.Like I told him,no matter your age you can always go after the life you really want if you work hard towards it every day.He says money isn't a big deal to him and he prefers to live simply. He was once homeless too and I just really wanted him to have it all.
His brother and I are friends on Facebook,so is my ex.His brother til this day says he don't understand where he went wrong and it still pissed him off that we're not together. He has terrible anxiety and is suicidal, that's a reason I keep in touch.
Usually, after break ups I NEVER keep in touch with family...but his family, including his sweet mama were so good to me and I know he has different problems that hopefully one day he'll finally realize he needs to work on.I'll never not deal with any of them because it's all love.Besides,it's not their fault that he acts how he does.
I talk to my ex like we're just friends and were never together if that makes sense. We got to that point once he apologized for all he did and I disappeared for a few months to focus on myself.I really only deal with them via Facebook every now and again.I'm not one of those people who have attachment issues or replay scenarios after relationships are over then be in my feelings like so many people do.I just be like...okay you're not for me.I'm glad I saw it in months instead of wasting years of my life.
I'm single, happy, back in the church, lost weight, credit score keep going up and I've been traveling.Almost finished with my psychology degree and the money going up.Lol.I am very happy and happy that him and I were able to share the time together that we did.During those months,we dealt with a lot...mainly sickness and loss...and we were there for each other.I was there more for him in the end but I wouldn't change a thing.I've always been that person who was able to handle more than others but I've gone through a lot myself and had to alone. That's why I'm always there for others and I don't count favors. All the good I put out, always comes back to me and I take lessons from every person I've known and situation I've been in no matter if it's good or bad.
Everything always works out for our good even though at that moment when we're going through,it sure don't look like or feel like it.Some people are dealing with all kinds of demons and trauma every day but covering things up with smiles and anything else to take the pain but nothing will work until people make the choice to do the inner work and own up to ALL of their b's.Just keep being good to people and never let another person's actions or behavior determine yours.Try and love people like God intended us to.It won't be easy but that's all we can do.
Also,Tae you got me back into reading my Bible last year and going to church. You helped me realize I was doing too much when it comes to men years ago.You would ALWAYS respond to me even when you were going through and I'm so grateful for you.I used to pray for you to have the desires of your heart and look at you!All of your hard work and the inner work you have been doing for years is paying off.I'm so proud of you and thank you for EVERYTHING.♥️
Good morning love! ✨🌞
Whew, this blessed me!
Tumblr media
I took all day and a few hours last night to pray about how to respond:
This, what you've told me, is all Ive ever wanted for my followers. To see how God can work in your life. To see how God can change your internal and external reality.
i can see the spirit of God all over your life! kindness with his family. self control with your boundaries with him physically and emotionally. faithfulness to your spiritual practices and community. love for everyone you've mentioned. patience with your process. deep peace and joy with the life you now live. gentleness with your verbal responses. and goodness - all throughout these thoughts, coming from the heart.
I will always be here for yall. I am "going through" rn. (And trust me, Im here for myself.) But this will never override my urge to encourage yall. To speak to the integrity and purpose and love that yall have. To believe with you for your self love relationship, your God-connection, your friends, your future husbands and wives and marriages, your peace, your careers, your families. All the desires of your heart.
Bc I kno that when u commit ur ways, God begins to answer to those things in details. And you're living it rn.
I know this is only the beginning for you 💛✨🙏🏽 May God continue to show in both of us. And thank you so much for sharing this!
✨ I'm migrating from Tumblr to YT so you can keep in touch on Good Morning Bae TV's Youtube here. ✨
