Chapter 15: Wizard Duel🌟⚡👑

Chapter 14

The group carefully continued to make their way to safety. "You sure he'll be alright back there?" Gabo asked Asha.

"Magnifico's crafty, but Star's more powerful than he realizes. He can at least hold him off long enough for us get back to safety."

Gabo hesitated a bit thinking about the fight. "Yeah....but Magnifico doesn't play fair..."

Magnifico gave his staff a twirl and quickly shot a blast of green magic at the starboy. The star instantly dodged it with a backflip. "Ohhh, so close! Wanna try again?" He chuckled.

The man growled in frustration and shot another beam of magic at Star.

Again, Star dodged it, and the blast hit one of the town's main mirrors, fracturing it. Magnifico gasped seeing he could no longer see his handsome face in the reflection, or anything else for that matter.

"We just fixed that mirror, you glowing brat!!" He yelled.

The star laughed as he took a look at the shattered mirror. He could see part of his own broken reflection as well as the king's. "I don't know much about mirrors, but I'd say its an improvement!"

Another blast surprised Star as he just barely dodged it in time. That was a close one... He quickly flew out of range so he wouldn't get blasted again. This was followed by another series of magic blasts, mirroring his previous fight with the star.

"Why. Won't. You. Just. DIE?!" Magnifico's voice grew more and more furious with each blast of magic. He only stopped momentarily to rest, since the consecutive blasts were taking some strength out of him.

When the king wasn't looking, the star landed gently on top of his head. Not as a parrot, but as a large rooster. He nestled in as if he was making himself a nest. "You know, you're so serious all the time. Its always 'Bring me the star! Bring me the wishes! I will have my revenge!'" With each time he mocked the king in an annoying tone and pecked him on the forehead.

"You need to get a hobby that doesn't involve being a monster or stealing from others. Your magic is even kinda boring!"

The man had enough of Star's rambling. "GET OFF ME!" he screamed as he attempted to grab Rooster!Star, but he ended up flying away. "What would you know about how to use magic? You have limitless potential in yours and yet you decide to play games like a child!"

Another blast nearly hit the star, causing him to fly quickly to safety. But the blast ended up destroying a bust of the king that a loyal resident made in his honor. The more he blasted, the more damage he was doing to the area.

"At least I can control mine, Maggy! Hehehe!" Star snickered. "Might as well quit now, while you got it easy!"

Easy? EASY?! It had the audacity to not only mock his magic, but also their battle?! This had to be the most challenging and annoying prey he's had to deal with. The king's blood was near boiling, but he wouldn't be mocked for long.

Not only that, it seemed that the star had actually started using his powers more properly, as if someone taught him how to focus his transformations...

He was prepared to resume blasting his magic, but then another idea popped into his head. Something that would shut up that star...

"You want magic, fool? I'll give you magic." He growled as he gripped the staff tightly in his hand, charging it up with as much magic as possible. He then whipped around and aimed his staff towards the teenage group.

Star's face fell as he realized what the king was about to do. He flew down and transformed with a flash of light.

Right as he took the blast, the king was met with a powerful shove, making the evil magic just barely miss the group by a hair.

Simon shielded the others from the blast the best he could, as the impact sent splinters of wood and stone everywhere. "Is everyone all right?" He asked, as he took a look at everyone.

"Yes, we're fine, Simon. Thanks for protecting us." Dahlia quickly assured him.

"Hey, don't you see the hat? I am Mrs. Nesbit!" Flazino mumbled, then fell back to sleep.

"...Yeah, I wouldn't exactly call him fine." Hal commented on Flazino's mental state.

"Is the king mad about us over there? I can't even tell from here!" Safi asked as he fought back a troublesome sneeze.

"Dunno. I can check though. I'm sure he's not mad at us!" chimed in Dario. Being the tallest of the group, he stood up and took a look at the fight from a distance. He saw a large yellow deer in a fighting stance as the king had been knocked clear into a wall, making a hole in it.

The man gripped both sides of the wall and emerged looking like an angry bull. His eyes flashed a venomous green as he looked directly at Dario.

Dario instantly ducked and looked like he had just seen a ghost. "Yep, he's mad. We gotta go!"

"Not without Star, we're not leaving him behind!" Asha scolded him. Even with a mad king breathing down their necks, she refused to leave the star.

Gabo rolled his eyes. "Well, I hope you have some magic of your own, sister. Because we can't exactly fight magic with the power of friendship!"

Gabo didn't intend to give Asha an idea, but he did.

Magnifico turned his attention back to the star as he pushed the rather heavy rubble out his path. He desired the star's power now more than ever. Not just so he and his wife could have infinite magic to conquer the world.

Right now all he could think about was the pleasure he would get from killing the star on the spot. The man looked at the starboy with newfound hatred for his existence. At the moment, only one word came to mind as he spoke. "Abomination."

Star's eyes narrowed at the king as he pawed the ground, returning a harsh word of his own. "Stupid Head."

With lighting like speed, his semi-large antlers collided with the king's staff, causing the two of them to be locked in a battle of strength. Deer!Star was attempting to break the staff with his antlers, but it didn't seem to be budging. The star didn't have experience in fighting, but he knew if he stopped now, his friends were toast. "I won't let you hurt them! Or anyone else!" he shouted at the king

Magnifico on other hand was getting furious with how long with battle was going. He never imagined getting the magic would be this difficult—or stubborn. He pushed back against the magical deer, forcing him to slide backwards. "You're even more foolish than I thought...." the king grunted.

As the magic between them kept growing stronger, the animation style on two began to change. Going from the traditionally animated, to a more sharp, anime-esque style. Magnifico and Star now had green and yellow outlines on them as their magic was constantly flaring.

Magnifico was growing tired of this match, so he quickly grabbed Deer!Star's antlers and threw him into a pile of barrels. "Don't tell me you're getting attached to more people?" He laughed and started walking towards the rubble in defiance. "You don't belong here, and you never will. The only thing you're good for is power. Why else would some peasant call on you?"

He tightly gripped his staff to stab the star who was still down, this time to get the job done. Deer!Star "And I will take that power...." The staff slowly raised into the air. His voice echoed with pent up rage. "Even if I have to take it from your yellow corpse!"

Right before the deed could be done, something flew over Magnifico's head and bounced against the wall. When the object fell it turned out to be just an ordinary apple. Caught off guard, the king turned and saw Dario with his arm extended out. The rest of the teens were further back and hiding behind a stall.

Dario sheepishly grinned at the king.

Gabo on the other hand, was ready to blow. "You....missed? How could you miss?! HE WAS THREE FEET FROM YOU!!" He shouted at the lanky teen.

"My bad!" Dario laughed uncomfortably.

Magnifico had the most confused expression you could imagine at the whole thing. Then he realized, that was the whole point. When he turned, the star wasn't a deer anymore, but instead a-

"KANGAROO! He actually did it!" Dario laughed, before Bazeema pulled him away.

(Wasn't expecting a Rescuers Down Under reference were you? Neither was I. 😅)

Star quickly gave the king a few quick jabs to the stomach, making him jump back far enough to avoid another attack. "Come on! You want to fight hand to...paw?" He chided the king as he pretend to box. (Ignoring the fact he still had no idea how to actually fight)

He jumped forward gave him a hard swipe of his tail that sent him sliding further backwards in pain.

Magnifico growled. "I'm not falling for anymore of your asinine games! I am the king of Rosas and I will not be mocked by a childish star with amateur magic!" he absorbed more magic into his hand and grabbed the now marsupial star by his neck.

The king was even stronger than before, the star could feel the evil magic radiating off of the king, it was almost unbearable.

"Once I'm done with you, the rest of Asha's traitors are next. I can finally wipe that smile off your face as I kill them!" The man beginning to sound more like a madman with the more power he absorbed.

However, Kangaroo!Star had enough strength to give Magnifico a good strong kick, forcing him to fly across the ground. Star was beginning to feel tired, realizing the Nan had drained some of his magic again. How was he going to beat this guy long enough for everyone to get away?

Usually he came up with some good plans, but he was to distracted by the king slowly getting back to think of anything!

His left ear twitched as he heard Asha call his name. She was still with the others as they prepared themselves to be distractions again. "Star! His power comes from the staff! Change into a snake!"

He didn't quite understand how that was supposed to work, but he did it. Once he transformed into a giant slinky snake, he asked "Now what?"

The poor star was a bit slow to grasp things at times, but this was a terrible one. The entire group shouted in unison: "Tie him up!"

It finally clicked. "OH! GO IT!" He quickly slithered over to Magnifico and wrapped himself tightly around the king.

His exposed arms were quickly grabbed by a few of the teens, trying to keep the man from shooting anymore magic at them as he attempted to thrash himself free. "UNHAND ME YOU WORTHLESS PEASANTS!" Gabo grabbed the arm that held the staff, and tried to rip the crystal off. But there was a problem... "IT WON'T BUDGE!" Gabo exclaimed. "What did you use, evil super glue?"

Asha went over and tried to help Gabo get the thing off. Time was running out though, as the teens could feel that he was charging up his magic to blast them all at once. "If I'm going down, you're all coming with me!" The mad king threatened.

Before it could go off, a furry brown blur whizzed by the two teens and snatched the crystal off the staff. On the ground, Valentino turned and triumphantly showed the green crystal between his teeth.

"HA! THAT'S MY GOAT!" Gabo exclaimed. At least he didn't have to resort to stabbing the king's hand as his plan B. This was much better.

"Val, hit the crystal as hard as you can, its the only way to stop this!" Asha told her furry friend.

Valentino nodded and was about to hit the crystal with his front hooves, when he was pounced on by a lynx.

Sabor grinned wickedly as he looked down at his prey.

Asha ran to help the little got, but without thinking, she let Magnifico's arm go. "Asha, wait-" Gabo started to warn her, but it was too late.

Magnifico stored up enough of his magic to force everyone off of him. They went flying across the ground away from him.

"Okay, now he's really mad. Let's get out of here!" Dario advised as he scrambled to get away. The others soon followed him, and took Asha with them. Not wanting to leave Valentino behind, Gabo swiftly kicked Sabor off of the goat, sending him flying into a sack of flour. Part of him felt good to get back at that cat for giving him his facial scar.

Asha grabbed Valentino, but there was no sign of the crystal.

"No time to waste, let's go!" Hal said as she pushed Asha forward and back to the rest of the teens.

Star fell to the ground and changed back to his human form, this time actually feeling more of the pain from the king's magic as he held his chest in pain.

A flour coated Sabor limped over to Magnifico and coughed up the green crystal like a hairball.

The king had to ignore the cat slobber and just put the crystal back in its rightful place on his staff. "About time you made yourself useful to me." He commented, not even looking at the cat in the eye.

The lynx growled as he glared at Magnifico, but he knew better than to anger him. So he just scowled and walked away back to his true master.

The starboy was still on the ground, but he was beginning to regain consciousness. Magnifico couldn't let that happen.

"Its time to end this right here and now. Before you get any other smart ideas. Time to claim our power!" his voice boomed. As the end of his staff began to glow a bright green, brighter than it was previously.

Magnifico grabbed the staff with both hands and swirled the wand in a giant circular motion. He repeated the motion over and over until the green circle became complete.

The circle began humming and moaning, as if it was a giant creature inside. It would be rather fitting since Magnifico was gripping his staff like a leash, trying to keep it under control. "Try to fly your way out of this one, brat!" He mocked the star with a wicked grin.

Star slowly opened his eyes and felt himself being dragged forward. He looked up and saw a giant green black hole, and it was pulling him in!

"Time to fly!" Star exclaimed as he turned into a parrot and flew off to finally join Asha and the other teens.

Only, as he was flying, he noticed that he didn't seem to be going anywhere. In fact, he felt like he was going backwards without trying. He looked behind him and saw that he was still being pulled backwards.

The star changed his form again, this time to his horse form. But he was still slowly being pulled away.

"OH, COME ON!" the star exclaimed in frustration as he rapidly changed his animal forms into something heavy enough to get away. With each failed attempt, he was panicking more and more. In desperation he tried just about any animal: a deer, lion, tiger, bear-

"Oh my! Having a bit trouble are we?" The king lightly mocked the star. "Where are your jokes now?" Only the king was laughing now.

Finally, Star turned into an elephant, which stopped his slow descent into the black hole. But he couldn't celebrate just yet, he still had to escape!

Elephant!Star started marching forward and fighting against Magnifico's pull. "Gotta...get back...to Asha." He grunted as he slowly took large steps forward.

Magnifico's eyes widened with horror, that thing was STILL fighting back?! And he was getting away again? No, not now, not when he was so close to his prize!

The magical tug-of-war was interrupted by Queen Amaya who stepped onto the scene right on cue.

(In case you're wondering, Sabor is just sort of in the background, he's just had enough of all this 😂)

"Darling, I could use a hand here! Our victory is quite literally walking away!" Magnifico said in a annoyed tone.

"As always, Mi rey..." She started as she pulled a small yet familiar red vial from her sleeve. "I've come prepared."

Her voice was calm, as if there wasn't a giant yellow elephant standing before as she walked to the other side of the black hole.

"This should put you in your place..." Amaya quietly threatened the star. She threw the vial directly onto the back of Elephant! Star, covering him in a red and making him cough.

"Gross, what was that?" He said, disgusted after the mist cleared. "Wait...I'm feeling kind of weird..." Star mumbled as he felt his entire body began to shake rapidly.

In a bright red flash, Star was instantly back to his human form. "No! Nononono!" He panicked and tried to turn into the elephant again, only this time, nothing happened. No matter what animal he thought of, he couldn't transform into anything! "WHAT HAPPENED TO ME?!"

"Oh, that was simply a spell had I been brewing for a while now." Amaya giggled as she enjoyed seeing Star in distress. "Your animal antics have been getting in our way long enough, so I made a spell put a stop it long enough for you to enter the crystal."

And with that she walked past him as if he was nothing more than a gnat.

Star couldn't see her face, but he could feel her glaring at him. Without his animal powers, he had to muster whatever strength he had into flying away.

Magnifico crackles as he reaches his victory. He decided to mock the star one more time. "Don't worry, its nice and roomy so it'll be like you're back in space! It'll feel just like home!"

Star's mind snapped back to his time in space. All he could see was Earth and the near total blackness of space.

How he wanted to go there.

How he wanted to meet humans.

How he didn't want to be alone.

"YOU'RE NOT SENDING ME BACK!" Star screamed as he charged up more of his magic and flew harder than he did before.

But as hard as he tried, it was getting clear that it wasn't going to be enough for him.

Before he met his fate, only thing was in his mind.

Asha, I'm sorry...

As this was happening, we cut back to the teens nearly in the clear. They had nearly reached the pathway to Bazeema's hideout when Asha suddenly stopped.

Dahlia was the first to notice. "Asha? What's wrong?"

The girl looked behind her where the fight was still going. She could feel as if something was wrong. "I have to go back."

"Are you nuts, woman? Why? Magnifico will turn you ashes in a second!" Gabo exclaimed. As much he liked causing problems, this was one fight he was actually glad to get away from...

"Look, I just need to go. Star needs help." That was all she said before dashing off.

Dahlia's jaw dropped in disbelief. "How do you even know that? He's literally made of magic!" She shouted to her friend, but she was already gone.

Safi sneezed once again. "AAAAAACHOO!!" He looked at the rest of the teens as he sniffed. "You're all thinking the same stupid idea, aren't you?"

Back into the magical fight, Star was inching closer to the portal, which was slowly taking some of his magic. While he was in absolute terror, Magnifico was overjoyed.

"I believe it's finally realized it's defeat! Shall we take our prize together, darling?" He offered.

Amaya was about to accept when Sabor pulled on her dress to get her attention. She looked down and saw the lynx hissing as he pointed to the target: Asha was coming in fast.

This girl was becoming more and more of a nuisance everyday. Since her husband already had the star, Amaya decided to take advantage of the situation and deal with Asha herself. Or more accurately, make a deal with Asha.

Amaya slowly raised her hands into the air and with a quick strike, she covered the girl in green smoke, blinding her.

When Asha opened her eyes, she was no longer in danger. Heck, she wasn't even in Rosas anymore!

We then see the Hamlet has been restored to its former state, only now it looks brighter than ever with life. The people there seemed be more joyful and not constantly looking over their shoulder for an attack. They looked...happy?

Asha knew this had to be an illusion, but it all felt so real to her.

At that moment, Amaya gently placed her hand on her shoulder. But Asha was so immersed, she didn't even realize the queen was there until she spoke. "Do you like what you see? Isn’t this whole life better than running fear for the rest of your life?"

She was back home in the Hamlet with her mother, saba, Valentino. Usually its a small gathering at their house when it came to Sabino's music, but with the addition of the seven teens and even Flazino joining them. This was something she always imagined for her family and community: To be safe and free.

Amaya continued, "I must say, Asha. When you dream, you don't just dream for yourself. You dream for those around you. Quite admirable."

Asha was beginning to fall into the trap, as she smiled seeing everyone happy together. Her smile slowly faded the longer she looked at the scenario. Something was missing... or rather someone.

She turned to Amaya. "Where's Star?"

"Oh dear, I thought it would be so clear." The queen had a slight mock in her tone as she explained. "You can have your family and your life back. All you have to do to make this reality, is to hand over star. Forever. You can forget any of this ever happened, and live a peaceful life you've always wanted for your people. I say its a fair deal, yes? You're almost there."

For a moment, Asha looked back at the illusion of her family and new friends being together, genuinely being at peace to live a normal life again. But not everyone she loved was in the picture.

Asha finally glared at the Queen with determined eyes. "That's not the life I want. Not without him."

The queen sighed deeply. "I was hoping you would be smarter in this situation. But alas, you are still young. There's a lot of your father's spirit in you..." She then tried one last trick as she approached Asha.

"Its sweet that you care for it so much, but you seem to treat it like it means more than a friend to you. Frankly, he's more like a pet."

That made Asha completely regain control of her senses as she clenched her fist. "My Star is not a pet!"

She quickly dashed passed Amaya and through the fake Hamlet. She didn't stop until she emerged from the illusion cloud. The illusion itself dissipated and the scene

Amaya growled as she pulled a hidden dagger from her sleeve. "Get back here you-" her threat was cut short as she fell over something small and furry. She looked behind her and saw a little goat stick her tongue out at her, then ran in Asha's direction.

Back near the magic black hole, Star had run out of strength to keep flying. The thing he feared the most might be coming for him after all...

Just as Star was getting sucked in, he felt a hand grab his arm and stop him. He opened his eyes and saw Asha pulling with all her might to break him free.

"What are you doing?! You're gonna get sucked in too!" Star exclaimed. "Just get away while you can!"

Asha grabbed Star's arm and pulled with both hands now. She could feel herself already getting slowly pulled in, but she kept trying to free her friend. "No!" She yelled back. "I'll never leave you behind, I just couldn't do that to you!"

At that moment, the star felt something change within him as he looked at Asha. Something that was different from his adoration of Earth. While Star had never experienced it for himself, it was the growth of something he thought he would never feel in his life:

Love.

It would take him just a little bit longer to realize it. And with this new feeling he immediately grabbed Asha's wrist with his free hand and attempted to pull himself away from the black hole.

"Its no use, little one! The star is ours!" Magnifico cackled as he was ready to achieve his victory.

Suddenly, Asha could feel something wrap around her waste. She turned her head and saw Dahlia attempting to pull her back. "Don't let go of him! You can do this!" Dahlia encouraged her as the wind began to howl louder.

Behind Dahlia was Gabo, holding on as tight as he could to her and pulling back. "You better not die on us, Asha! You still got a monarchy to tear down!" He yelled, hoping that they couldn't see the tears in his eyes forming.

Behind Gabo was Dario, followed by Hal, Safi, Bazeema, Simon and little Valentino pulling on Simon's shirt with all his strength to help.

"Amaya, I could use some extra hands here!" Magnifico said impatiently. He could feel the magic was beginning to cease from his staff, and he didn't know how much longer it would last.

"Do. Not. Rush. Me." Amaya actually sounded annoyed with him for the first time. She grabbed onto the staff alongside her husband while Sabor clenched a part of it with his paw, contributing what little he could.

As both sides were pulling with all their might, the combination of magic kept building up until-

BOOM! 💥

Both groups were flown backwards due to the force of the blast.

As everyone tried to shake off the magical explosion and get to their feet, Asha had successfully pulled Star out of the royals reach. When they had landed, Star had ended up wrapping his arms around Asha after she freed him. When she sat up, Star was still holding onto her.

"That was close...are you alright, Star?" Asha asked.

Asha didn't hear an answer out of Star. Instead he just kept holding her and could feel his arms shaking. It was as if he wanted to keep her from leaving. "....Star?" She tried asking again.

This time, the star changed his into his familiar mouse form. He still didn't speak, but it was more clear that he was shaking out of fear. He didn't even look up at Asha.

"Come on, we gotta go before they get back up!" Hal warned her as she helped her up.

Unfortunately, there wasn't time to ask questions. Instead, Asha gently held him in her hands and ran as fast as she could with the others.

Behind them, she could hear the king's voice filled with rage. "You traitorous brats! If you ever want to see your family again, you better bring that star to us at the ceremony. Or their deaths will be your head!"

He aimed his staff at the group, only to find that the crystal at the top was missing. "Don't tell me you managed to drop it." Amaya chided him.

The man looked up and saw Bazeema quickly following behind the group. She turned, and was holding the crystal in her hand. "I'm sorry, but I really needed to take this!" She didn't need to apologize to the homicidal villains, but she did anyway.

The king rolled his eyes and threw he staff to the side. "Fine, we can handle you with our own hands!" He announced as he held his wife's free hand.

"Now there's an idea I agree with!" Amaya agreed. She prefered this method than always relying on that staff anyway.

A sickly green blast of magic was headed straight towards the teens, prepared to kill them in the spot. They had almost no time to react!

Simon leaped in front of the fleeing group and slammed down a knight's shield to the ground, blocking the royal's magical attack just in time.

"Keep going! I can hold them off for a minute!" Simon grunted as he pushed with all his might against the shield.

Gabo came back and grabbed the back of his shirt. "Ooooh no you don't! We don't need another sacrifice moment! Just hurry up and come with us!"

"I'm going to protect everyone in Rosas even if its against our own rulers!" Simon yelled back. Then in a last feat of strength, he punched the shield into the ground, making it stay in place as the magic blast continued to hit the object.

When he was sure it was secure he finally joined the others. However, his eyes were looking more tired than before.

The king and queen ran out of energy and had to cease in their attack. Amaya was tired, but fine. However, Magnifico looked like he hadn't slept in weeks as he fell to his knees in exhaustion.

She took her husband's face in her hands. He looked slightly pale after expelling so much magic. "Dear, you need rest. You've done more than enough." Both her face and tone was filled with concern.

Magnifico gave her a weak smile. "I appreciate your concern, Amaya."

He had enough strength to get back on his feet. As looked in the direction where the teens left, his thoughts were consumed with revenge. Not just on the pathetic star, but also Asha and the traitors of traitors of Rosas.

They won't make a fool of him again, especially not tonight...

"But I've had enough of these games. Before the ceremony, I believe it's time we turn to a friend on the other side..." The king's voice grew deeper as the camera zooms in on his green eyes.

FINAL THOUGHTS

After a whole month of an absence, I FINALLY FINISHED A NEW CHAPTER! 😭 Believe it or not, as long as this chapter is, I still had to cut it short! The next song was meant to be in this chapter, but because work got in the way and hadn't written in so long, I decided to wait until the next chapter. But rest assured, the biggest parts are coming still, and just in time for the anniversary of the story!

I also have been obsessed with the Sonic movies and franchise lately and its spiraled into me making an AU around Silver the Hedgehog and his spin off story, so that also took over my mind too, lol.

So back to this story, I really wanted to show the growth of Asha and the teens together since the movie had them just be friends from the start without explanation. And even then, they just didn't have enough chemistry for me to get why I should care about them. They haven't been friends for years like in the movie, so I wanted to build up their trust in each other and to Star and Asha, even with Dahlia's betrayal. And at least they would ALL have some kind of purpose multiple times in the story. Maybe friendship really is magic! 😂

I wanted this chapter to be a big moment for not only Simon to prove he wants to be a knight, but also where Star fully fell for Asha, but he wouldn't realize it until someone told him why he's been feeling different about her. Though he thinks Asha only sees him as a friend...😅 LOTS of things are going to happen to Star and Asha and most of it is good, but you'll probably want some tissues near the end of the story!

Wish Granted 🌟👩🏾🎶 (Wish Reimagined)

Chapter 14: Finding Flazino 🐭🏰

Chapter 13

✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

King Magnifico was at the potions table, putting together a colorful yet strange mixtures of ingredients to create a new spell. He normally lets Amaya handle this part when it came to creating such things, but with time running out until the ceremony, he was in a rush to come up with something that can trap the star.

His mixing was interrupted by a loud "POOF" that filled the room. The king sighed in annoyance. "How many times have I asked that you knock when I'm working?" he turned and was surprised to see that his wife wasn't alone. She was accompanied by a bespectacled girl, who was taken by surprise from her sudden surroundings.

Amaya cleared her throat. "Mi rey, we have a guest here to see you." she said in her best sweet tone. "This is the young lady I told you about earlier, she's come through for us rather quickly!"

She gave him a knowing look. Magnifico immediately caught on and slapped on a quick smile. "Ah! Yes, the young and loyal baker who's been such a big fan of ours. Love your work on our royal confections!"

Dahlia herself was at a lost of words for a moment. She was actually speaking to the king! And he knew who she was!

(Well, mostly)

The girl composed herself quickly and bowed slightly. "Thank you, your highness! Its always been an honor for my family to serve you."

Her mind went back to Asha. She had to focus on why she wanted to see him. But Amaya was already ahead of her.

"Don't be so modest, Dahlia! You're a hero of Rosas now. This girl found not just Asha, but also six other traitors she's been conspiring with!" The queen said proudly.

"Well, I wouldn't say conspiring. More like...taking it into consideration." Dahlia hoped that the royals wouldn't get the wrong idea here.

Magnifico's eyes widened with glee. That means the star was finally in his grasp at long last! "Excellent! Our kingdom is safe once again, thanks to you! They're finally brought to justice!" He exclaimed as he quickly shook her free hand, causing to get slightly off balance.

As she regained her footing and did her best not to squeal at the fact the king shook her hand. "Actually sir, that's what I wanted to ask you about. I know Asha caused some damage when she was first here. But I need to tell you that she's not here to destroy Rosas."

Magnifico's smile slightly cracked, but kept listening. Amaya could tell his already weathering patience was getting worse. Sabor however knew what was coming and was eagerly awaiting the show.

"She's been so scared that she has this idea that you're taking people's wishes for yourself and your trying to get your hands on a star. I know, it sounds insane, doesn't it?"

Both Magnifico and Amaya shared a hearty laugh. "Oh yes, quite...ridiculous." The king confirmed in a rather peculiar tone.

Dahlia continued. "Well, the point is that I don't think you should punish her or the others. If you two could just sit down and talk, maybe you could find a way to help her and her family?"

Magnifico made a show of pacing the floor, thinking about her words. Finally he stopped and faced the baker. "All right, young lady. After much consideration. I've made a decision."

Dahlia's eyes lit up. They we're finally going to help!

Magnifico only said one word: "No."

That....wasn't what she expected... "Wait, what?" she asked, stunned.

The man cleared his throat. "Sorry, I wasn't clear enough. I mean: No, I won't help Asha. We don't help deceivers or traitors. Especially when's she's been a pain in my-"

"But you always help someone in need, no matter who they are, or where they're from. That's literally your whole motto!" Dahlia interrupted.

"Actually, our motto is 'Just keep wishing!' surely you've seen our morning commercials?" The king corrected her. He was quickly reminded of the fact that the royal mirror was broken thanks to another nuisance...

The queen saw the disbelief in her face and tried another way. She quietly walked over to her and placed a gentle hand on her shoulder.

"You have to understand, dear. Asha is starting a rebellion against everything we stand for. People who betray us after everything we've done for them don't deserve to have their wishes granted. Ever. But thanks to you, our kingdom will be safe once again after we get rid of her."

Dahlia had a feeling that they weren't talking about just banishment or a simple punishment...

"Couldn't have said it better myself, darling!" Magnifico chimed in. "Well, I'm sure you have lots to do and things to bake for the ceremony, so it seems that we must part ways for now." With a friendly wave, he turned her back on her as he and his wife prepared to go to the wish chamber.

Dahlia stood there feeling very foolish. Asha...was right. Magnifico had no interest in helping Asha or the other teens. Wait, did that also mean that Flazino really had gone missing because of them? Was everything she knew about the royals all a lie?

"No." Dahlia finally said.

Now it was Magnifico's turn to be surprised as the two of them stopped walking. "Come again?" he dared to ask.

"No. I'm not just going to let you do this. Asha and I may have had our differences since we were kids, but she's not the villain here. You two are."

Magnifico let out a small but forced laugh. "Well, you're young. You don't know anything, really." He turned to face her. "We keep the city safe, while Asha and that blasted st-"

His wife lightly nudged him with her elbow. He almost let it slip. Although Dahlia was already aware of the starboy's existence, she was still in the dark about the royal wanting the star's power.

The king composed himself again and tried a different approach. "I sincerely hope that you realize what you're saying. Asha wants to destroy us and the people's wishes. She wants to make everyone suffer because of the loss of her father and she blames us for it. You can't trust anything she says!"

For the first time, Dahlia wasn't hanging onto every word he said. The more he spoke, the more his true nature was showing. Amaya quickly noticed the conversation was escalating and tried one more trick of her own.

"I believe I have one way to settle this for both parties." The queen snapped her fingers and four wishes immediately came to her side.

For once, the king was surprised. "Since when could you do that?"

"Just watching and practicing dear, you never know if there comes a time when I have to care for the wishes and you're not here."

Magnifico wasn't entirely sure about that, but they had other things to worry about at the moment.

Amaya walked over to the young baker with the wishes. "You remember our little agreement earlier, don't you? Asha in exchange for your families wishes to all be granted, including your own." She took Dahlia's wish in her hand showed it to her as if it were a fine gem.

"If you keep quiet about all this, all your wishes will come true. All it takes is one word to change everything." The woman whispered.

The man's eyes lit up at this new hope. Everything was going to fall into place, so long as this brat doesn't say a word...

Dahlia looked at the orb, which contained her wish to be the best baker in all of Rosas and bring joy to others with her food. It really was still tempting, even now. She began to reach her hand over to it. Everything she and her family wanted was only a wish away.....

"No." She took her hand away and stepped back. "I'm not betraying Asha. Not again." She glared over her glasses at the two of them.

The queen wouldn't admit it out loud, but she was surprised someone didn't accept the offer of an instantaneous wish granting. It would be impressive if it weren't for the obvious consequences that were coming. Even Sabor was a bit surprised at the outcome.

Magnifico's patience finally ran out. He quickly grabbed his staff and slammed it down. "Enough of this! I've already had quite enough of Asha and the star interfering with our plans. I won't let another pest get in the way."

Amaya looked at her husband in surprise. "What are you-"

"If you want us to be the villains, then villains we shall be. No traitor deserves to have their wish granted, right Amaya?" The king gave her a look that told her he had a reason for this.

Amaya felt that he was getting a bit impatient and was taking it out on this peasant. Yes, it was taking longer than expected to get the star, but it would all be worth it in the end. Or else they would have to take more....drastic measures.

"You make a good point. She did just admit to treason with Asha and her friends. We already have a confession." Amaya said as she eyed the girl.

"Wait, you can't do this! You can do whatever you want with my wish, but we had a deal you'd still grant my family's!" Dahlia retorted as she clenched her fist.

"Well, I got a little secret for you. Come here." Magnifico said in a calm and hushed tone. Dahlia wasn't sure why his tone was different, but she didn't argue. She took a step forward.

"Now closer...."

This time she just leaned forward enough to hear him better.

"I DON'T MAKE DEALS WITH PEASANTS!!!" Magnifico yelled so loud her ears began to ring strongly.

"Guards! Take this traitor to the dungeon!" The king bellowed to his guards outside the door. "You can even take care of your little boyfriend for however long he's got left."

Davis's eyes widened with horror. Flazino really was in danger all this time and she wouldn't listen. She felt even more stupid for not joining Asha. The guard's burst through the door and seized her.

"Oh, don't you worry. I won't destroy your wish at all. But I won't grant it either. See, someone like you would be useless even if I gave you what you wanted." He gestured to the girl's crutch. "I will still protect your wish, and your family's… forever." He sneered as he shooed the wishes back where they came from with a flick of his wrist.

Magnifico turned his back and walked off without another word.

Amaya however smirked and gave her some parting words. "I'm so sorry dear, but I did mention that would get exactly what you deserve." As she turned to join her husband, Sabor had quickly jumped on her shoulder and mockingly waved "bye" at Dahlia with his claw.

Dahlia's face fell. The man she admired for nearly her whole life was now condemning her to a life working in a dungeon. She didn't even know they had a dungeon! All she could do was hope that Asha and the others were coming up with a new plan. Time was running out...

We cut to a black screen for a few seconds, then slowly fade into a small wooden door in the wall. We also hear voices coming from it.

"How long is this going to take?"

"It shouldn't be much farther..."

"I'm getting tired of this."

"You're always tired, man!"

"BAAAAAAAAH!"

"Can you guys be quiet for five minutes?"

"AAAAACHOOO!"

"Hey, is this it?"

"Yes, finally! Now please be careful..."

The door slowly opened with a loud creak, and Simon poked his head out to make sure they had the room to leave. Then Gabo, Dario, Hal, Safi and Bazeema poked their heads out in a group as well.

"This better be it, cause its getting too crowded in here." Gabo grumbled. "Would you guys just move already?"

Suddenly all of them were pushed out by another force: Asha. "There, problem solved." She said as she dusted her hands off and stepped out. Valentino followed quickly as he hopped onto Simon's back to get a better view of the place.

Star couldn't help but laugh at the group. "This is the most fun I've ever had! Even with two people trying to capture us and wanting to take my magic. So what do we do next?" He was really too eager to get back up there....😅

Gabo jumped up. "Do you have a death wish or something? We just got away! I'm not going back up there. I'm staying right here in this...." His voice trailed off once he finally realized he was somewhere completely different.

The entire place was way bigger than expected. The entire place was decorated lush fabrics and rugs in colors of all kinds, complete with custom decorations and flowers. It was a big contrast to how Rosas looked all one basic color that blended together. It looked like more of a hangout rather than a hideaway.

On the side of the wall, there was a small area with pillows stacked in a pile. Valentino took a chance to jump on them and nuzzle himself between the pillows.

Safi was the first to speak about the room. "You did all this yourself? Its amazing!" He inhaled heavily to take in the floral scent. "It smells so fresh in here, and I'm not even sneezing from it!"

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot!" Star reached into his pocket, pulled out some slightly wilted flowers, and handed them to the Safi. "These are from her." He gestured to Bazeema. "Sorry it took me a while. Trying to avoid getting captured here." And with that he flew off to take a better look at the rest of the place. Safi was left blushing while looking at the flowers

Simon lumbered over to the pillow stack Valentino was resting on. "I'm just gonna rest my eyes over here for a minute." He yawned as he fell on top of the pillows, luckily the goat jumped out of the way before he got crushed. No sooner had he sat down, he was already snoring.

It took a while for everyone to get adjusted, with Valentino listening against the wall with his sensitive hearing. The soldiers were still outside, but they had stopped running around looking for the group. Now they were practically crawling all over Rosas looking through every nook and cranny to find them.

The goat returned to the group and rested comfortably on Bazeema's lap. Star was listening in on the conversation as he floated above them. He didn't like staying in one place for too long, so he stayed in motion most of the time.

Asha had caught everyone up on the story, including saving her saba's wish. Though, she hadn't quite figured out how to free all the wishes yet...

"So, you're telling me that Gabo really was right about those two? We've been lied to all this time?" Hal questioned.

Gabo bowed. "You can thank me later." His voice was dripping in pride of being right.

"Hey, I did hear something about getting some 'new visitors' coming in for tonight. I hate to say it, but....what if they got your mom and saba?" Simon asked, trying to stay awake. Not because he was bored, he's just been getting more tired recently.

"You don't think they actually found them?" Asha asked, crossing her arms. "We've been hidden for years and not one time have we been caught."

Dario scratched his head. "So if you guys have been gone all these years, why would the king want you now? Do you owe him money or something?"

Asha thought about it. "They think we do. Not the money part at least. The wishes don't belong to them, but they're willing to do anything get their hands in more power. I wouldn't rule out kidnapping..." Her voice trailed off, thinking about how her family wasn't even aware where she'd been until now. They most likely use them as leverage for Star.

"Okay....kidnapping? I'm already questioning the dungeon part, but doesn't that seem extreme, even for Magnifico?" Hal hesitated. This was still a lot to grasp for her.

Gabo laughed. "You really are gullible aren't you? If they got a dungeon, they have to put someone in there."

Simon rubbed his eyes. "This is getting way more complicated...You sure you don't just want to get Flazino and come back for them later?"

"If they have my family, there's no way I'm going to leave them behind. We'll just find a way to bring them with us." Asha's stern voice was clear in her decision.

"Well, you're going have to do something about him." Gabo pointed to the starboy. "Its already crowded enough in this space with eight of us and a goat. I don't think he can exactly stay out of the way looking like that in a dungeon."

"Hey, I'm literally standing right here!" Star threw his hands up in defense.

Asha hated to admit it, but Gabo was right.

"Bazeema, is there a space where Star and I can talk in private?" She asked.

Gabo covered his eyes. "Oh Grimm, not in the same room as us-"

"GABO, SHUT UP." Asha said through gritted teeth.

Star still didn't know what he was talking about. "I swear, I'm missing something here..." Star mumbled as he floated to the ground.

"Oh sure, there's a nice corner over there I go to when I like to read." The shy girl gestured to a stack of pillows behind a curtain. It wasn't exactly what Asha had in mind, but she would make it work.

She thanked her and pushed the star in the corner and pulled the curtain.

"Normally I wouldn't say this, but can you not look human for a little while? At least until we get my family out of there." Asha asked the star.

"Isn't the whole mouse thing the point of that?" The star floated in the air while in a hammock position. "Unless you're talking about bugs. You want me to turn into a cricket? I can play a good song out of that, or maybe become Magnifico's conscience and make this all easier!"

"As much as I adore your animal forms, I don't want to risk you getting caught or eaten by Sabor." Asha pointed out.

Star gulped at the thought of that feline. "Yeah, I see your point..."

He then winced as he looked like he an idea that he didn't want to use. "Well, there is one other form I have, back when I was just a newborn star. But...."

"But...?"

"You promise not to laugh?" He asked cautiously.

"Star, it can't be that bad. You've turned into animals all this time, I'm sure this will probably be normal compared to it." Asha reminded him.

After a few seconds, the star took a deep breath and a flash of light engulfed him. Blinded by the light, Asha covered her eyes. When she opened them, she no longer saw the humanoid version of star. Or even the many animal versions. She instead saw was a small yellow, almost plushie like version of him floating in front of her.

His small simplistic features looked sad, hoping this form wouldn't be too embarrassing for him.

Asha's gave him a gentle smile. "See? It's not so bad. Its still you in there, right?" She gently patted his head.

Star nodded and made squeaking noise. He began to look more comfortable being like this.

"I guess you can't talk in this form?" she asked.

Star shook his head.

"Well, let's not take too long to do this. I'd miss that voice of yours."

Star's little eyes lit up. And so did the rest of his body, as he glowed so bright all you could see was his smile.

"Um, Star? Might want to turn that down, at least until we're actually in the dark." Asha suggested. She still didn't know why he kept glowing like the sun every now and then. Was it a habit for a star?

The little star shook himself and turned his glow back down to normal. He once again made a jingling noise when he spoke.

"Relax, they've seen you turn into animals. This is nothing compared to that."

The star looked at her.

The girl realized what she said. "No, no! I don't mean it like that. I just mean they won't freak out when they see you."

Star spoke again, this time with a question.

Asha furrowed her eyebrows. "No, I don't think they'll laugh..." That was a strange question to ask...

Asha had walked back into the room and joined the rest of the group. "All right. We solved one problem, now we can focus on how to get to the dungeon."

"Great! But where's Star?" Hal asked looking around for her new glowing friend.

Plushie!Star waved his stubby hand.

"That is Star." Asha confirmed, gesturing to him. "Not only is he small enough, but he'll be silent enough to not get caught by accident."

Bazeema grew fond of this form very quickly. "Awww, what a cute little guy! He's-"

Gabo started laughing. "YOU. ARE. A. TOY!"

His laughter woke Simon up with a start. "Whozat?"

Bazeema scolded the grumpy teen. "Now that's not very nice."

Gabo wiped a tear from his eye. "I'm sorry, you just look so stupid! I could bounce him around like a little ball!" He doubled over laughing again.

Star was actually looking kind of pissed now.

Asha waved him off. "Don't listen to him, Star. You're-"

Plushie!Star zoomed off and began hitting Gabo in the face with his tiny hands in frustration.

"Hey, hey! Stop that! You're getting stardust in my mouth!" He protested as he spit out some sparkle dust after Star finally stopped attacking him.

"You kind of had that coming, Gabo." Hal chuckled to herself.

"Guess you do have a temper after all. But save it for Magnifico." Asha said.

The little star flew back to Asha and turned his back towards Gabo. He never held a grudge before, but he could give the silent treatment for a good five minutes.

"So now all that's left is to figure out how to get to the dungeon." Asha pondered.

Gabo folded his arms. "Well, good luck with that. I know there's a dungeon here, but I don't know where. And I'm sure none if the hundreds if a guards care willing to tell us either."

The room was quiet after that. None of them seem to have any clue how to do this. This is the first jailbreak after all.

Asha and Star both caught a look at a nearby mouse that was snacking on a crumb of cheese that had fallen at some point.

Both of them shared a knowing look as their eyes met.

"I think we're thinking the same thing...again."

"...I don't like that look. What are you planning?" Gabo asked warily.

Asha grinned. "Just trust us." Star gives her a wink in response.

We then cut to outside the castle as the sun began to fall upon the kingdom. While the other citizens were getting ready for the big event, a certain group of teens were in the middle of a jailbreak.

Plushie!Star continued to give the mouse light as they escaped. As they reach the end of the tunnel, they came to a crossroads of other tunnels that could go anywhere in the kingdom.

"How many tunnels are in this place?" Sari shouted.

Asha looked down at the mice. "Come on, you do know they way out, don't you?"

"Of course! We've guided dozens of our kind down here." The lead mouse replied, but as she looked at the many choices of routes, she started to have second thoughts. "Um....just give me a minute to remember where..."

Gabo scoffed. "We just had to get directions from a mouse..." He crossed his arms.

"I'm sure she's doing the best she can, don't be so harsh on her." Bazeema always had a soft spot for animals, so she was quick to even the defend the ones who were considered pests.

As they waited, Dahlia wanted to see how much medical attention Flazino would need once they got to safety. He was placed down with his back against the wall, still looking drained of all energy. "Hey, stay with me, Flazi. I can help treat your wounds once we get to safety."

"Have....to...stop them. Get....to...her potions...and...." He just started speaking out of nowhere. Star may have healed the inside of him, but he was still way out of it.

Dahlia took a look at the former apprentice as he looked like he had been run over. She couldn't help feeling all of this was her fault, but they still needed the information from him. She took off her glasses and gently shook his shoulder. "And what? Get to her potions and what?" She asked in desperation.

Flazino took a breath, then smiled as he looked at her. "Doc? You have... wonderful... eyes." Then he fell back to sleep.

Dahlia froze for a moment. Then shouted to the others: "He's lost his mind!"

"Can't you help him get it back?" Dario asked sincerely. "We kind of need it!"

"I'm not that kind of doctor, Dario!" Dahlia hissed.

"MAAAAAHHH!" Valentino stomped his hooves as he gestured behind him.

"Look, you can fix your boyfriend later, we gotta go, people!" Gabo warned them as he saw the shadows of a guard coming towards them.

The others helped get Flazino up again, and the mouse finally figured out the path to take. While they ran as fast as they could, Dahlia couldn't keep up as well.

"Stop! In the name his majesty, you're all under arrest!" The guard's voice boomed as he began to catch up.

Asha turned and realized that the baker was far behind them. Before she would've let her stay behind, but a certain yellow friend convinced her to have a change of heart. "You guys keep going ahead." She ordered as she ran past them.

"Are you crazy, woman? You're gonna get caught!" Gabo shouted to her as he nearly tore his hair out. Needless to say, he's very stressed.

The guard grabbed Dahlia by the arm. "I've got you now! You're not leaving this place until the king says otherwise."

Normally, Dahlia would shrink back and accept her fate. But after everything that's happened, that last thing she was going to do listen to the king. "All right, fine. I'll go back, but I have one thing to say."

The guard raised an eyebrow but relented. "Fine, what is it?"

He was immediately met with a crutch swung at his head, knocking him out. "That's all I needed to say." She said as she dusted her hands off.

Asha had caught up and helped her pick up her pace back to the group.

Flazino, still in a daze saw the show. "What a woman..." he mumbled, then fell back asleep.

Knowing there would be more following them, Star decided to go back and buy them more time.

Plushie!Star flew back past them, but suddenly stopped. He turned and looked at the group, hesitant to go forward. When he spoke, it sounded like a slow jingle of bells.

"What's he saying?" Dario asked Gabo.

Gabo gave him a look. "Do look I speak 'twinkle twinkle, little star'?"

Asha seemed to already know. "We'll be okay. I know you can take Magnifico. Just be careful, he'll have plenty of tricks up his sleeve."

The little ball of light seemed to cheer up hearing that.

"Hey, if you do fight the king, turn into a donkey when you kick him. That one's from me to him." Gabo said with a smirk.

Bazeema: "Or a deer!"

Dario: "Or a Kangaroo!"

The others looked at the lanky teen.

"What? They're good fighters!" Dario shrugged.

Asha turned back to Star. "Everything has a purpose. I bet you can make this little form useful if you put your mind to it. Just make it work until you're outside again."

The star nodded and proceeded to take off as the teens made their way towards freedom.

As he turned a corner, he saw ten guards running towards him. He didn't exactly come up with a plan on how to stop the guards even though he proclaimed he was good at planning.

He thought about an earlier comment Gabo made, calling him a ball he could throw around like a toy. Then the idea suddenly struck.

Plushie!Star spun around quickly as he flew towards the guards. He quickly bounced from wall to wall, leaving a bright yellow trail as he zipped around. He went so fast that the guards were getting dizzy trying keep up with him.

In a flash he zig-zagged between the line of guards helmets, hitting each one with surprising accuracy. One of them tried to grab the star in mid-air, but he got hit as well. After each guard fell to the ground, the star stopped flying and actually looked dizzy himself.

He shook his head and looked down at the sight in surprise. Did he actually do that? This was a form he always ashamed of back home. It never had anything unique looking like his human or animal forms and couldn't wait to grow up and change his form.

Asha's the only one who actually found something positive about it. He ended up giggling at the thought of her. She really was something...

"What's going on down there?" A deep voice boomed from above. It shook the little star. He recognized Magnifico's voice, and he was getting closer!

He swiftly flew away from the scene and found a window to fly through outside.

Magnifico had reached the place just as Star flew away. He looked down and saw several of his so called soldiers lying down on the ground. He picked up a helmet that had a large sparkling dent in it. "What happened here?" He shouted, not caring for the guards' health.

One of them stayed awake long enough to mutter, "A....squishy ball of light." Then he fell back to his conscious state.

"Must I do everything myself?! You're all useless!" He shouted as he slammed the helmet down and stormed off. He used his magic to teleport from the dungeon to the entrance outside. No one was there...

"Where are those brats?" Magnifico grumbled as he scanned the area. Thankfully, this section of the kingdom didn't having any citizens roaming nearby. With everyone gathering together for the wish ceremony, he finally had a chance to have to capture the star without an audience.

The king listened intensely for any sort of sound that signaled his target was near. After a few brief moments, he finally heard the sound of approaching feet coming from the right. He quickly hid behind a nearby wall and waited for the girl and the star to appear.

Admittedly, he was slightly changing the plan of trading Asha's family for the star. But his drive for cosmic power was getting the better of him. Having to constantly gain little chunks of power from behind the scenes was not enough. The star was the only source of magic strong enough to finally satisfy him.

The group finally emerged from the dungeon entrance, with Simon being the first to appear with a passed out Flazino on his back. Peculiarily, there was a small pack of mice seemingly leading the group out. But that couldn't be possible...

Following him were the other teens and lastly Asha. She was asking the shy girl where to go to get back to her sanctuary.

Magnifico gripped his staff tightly. Now he had seven more traitors to deal with? And in his own kingdom no less? Asha and the star were becoming the biggest thorns in his side ever since she made her wish. Now it was time to put a stop to them before everything fell apart.

He aimed his staff towards the group of teens attempting to escape with Flazino. He made sure to aim right for Asha's back, knowing the shot will go straight through her heart.

"Mags is a big dummy! Mags is a big dummy! Sqwak!"

(you get a point if you know this Disney reference)

The scratchy sounding bird voice broke the king's concentration. He turned and a yellow bird perched on a small water fountain. It was glowing bright and glaring at the king.

With a flash, the bird turned out to be none other than the star, now standing in his human form with that annoying grin on his face.

"Hey, I'm the one you want, remember?" The star's voice sounded different from earlier. It was confident, yet playful. As if he was ready for a game. For once Magnifico was speechless.

Star grinned and made a 'come here' gesture with his hand.

"Then come on...let's get dangerous!" He exclaimed.

Magnfico stares at the star. From the time the star crashed to Earth, he could always feel his presence. He had always assumed his power was threatened before he saw the star looked like a mere teenager. The star's magic and personality always seemed to be those of a child's, with very little to fear. Magnifico felt threatened since day one, but it never seemed to be justified.

But now? The star wasn't playing. It was challenging him. Mocking him as if he was nothing but a fun passtime game.

Magnfico suddenly had a wicked grin at the realization. "Finally. Now I truly have a challenge for my prize. Let's play, little star..."

FINAL THOUGHTS

FINALLY, another chapter is done! Once again, really sorry on how long its taking for each one to come out. Both because of lack of time to write and making sure it comes out as best as possible. And I've been obsessed with Sonic The Hedgehog (and Silvaze) after the new movie...😅 The news I can tell you without spoilers is that the next chapter will finally have the number "Knowing What We Know Now", and thanks to some friends and fans I'm nearly done rewriting the song!

And even better, we're getting round two of Magnifico vs Star. The third round will be in one of the final chapters, and I'm saving up my Disney Kaiju Battle. Now that there's more characters to keep track of to write dialogue and scenes for and its...a lot. 😅 And now I finally got to use the next deleted scene since its been a long time! Poor Flazi...

I also took a chance on using Star's plushie form, as promised! I know there are writers that do like the plushie and just wanted him to be more useful or have some kind of personality. So for this rewrite the plushie is the baby form for newborn stars. Since they're very simplistic, non-descript and can't speak, WG!Star doesn't like that form and prefers the animal or human forms instead. That is, until Asha sees the good in the plushie form and finds it endearing. It also gave me a chance to use the idea of Star and Asha being so connected that Star doesn't have to speak. So I went with the take of Asha being the only one that can understand Star in the plushie form.

So thanks so much for being patient, and I'm still enjoying seeing artwork for other Wish AUs in the meantime. And I'm finally cooking up some long awaited shipping moments. Especially the "Notre Dame" references for Dahlzino. Thanks to my friends for suggesting those too!
