Today I heard how when we are born we only have two fears. The fear of being dropped and the fear of falling. Every other fear is acquired. It is a good idea to be mindful of how we speak to our children, especially once they can understand reasonings, when we are trying to keep them safe. If we are always feeding in to then the worse case scenario... they might learn to speak that same inner dialogue themselves as adults. It would be more useful to, when faced with a challenge or an uncertainty, to envision the best possible outcome. “I’m okay. I am very careful/ hardworking and things will work out.
