how cuddleable are your ocs tag II
a freshly delivered black sesame bubble tea from @odysseywritings thanks dear
I'll do the kids from Maisy Beckett and the Watermelon Boys.
Maisy - 8/10, she's typically very open to physical affection. is bad at initiating but happy to receive. she pulls away from it while grieving but the boys slowly warm her up to it again.
Connor - 10/10, is absolutely down for physical affection and is great at giving and receiving, but as someone with a lot of empathy, doesn't start anything until the other person is very comfortable with him. boundaries king, and cuddles king.
Avery - 5/10, growing up in a family of tactile people, he's well accustomed to physical touch but it's not his go to for comfort or a show of affection.
Robbie - 6/10, he loves a good hug or forehead kiss, but actual cuddling gets too stifling for him because he has some sensory issues and makes him discombobulated to be squished against someone. (ADHD kid of the family)
Peter - 2-8/10, he goes through phases. sometimes he's just as tactile as his brothers, sometimes he's very averse to touch. until he's diagnosed with depression, nobody knows what triggers those phases.
Christopher - 9/10, only doesn't want physical interaction when he's focused on a task.
Noah - 7/10, is a little bit in the phase where he's trying to be distant and cool 'cause he's figuring himself out but he still loves cuddles.

I'll answer for Maisy Beckett and the Watermelon Boys:
I have six watermelon boys and one Maisy, so I'll pick the questions that suit for each.
1 - Robbie is most likely to purchase a frivolous trinket. he loves trinkets and rotates showcasing his collections on shelves in his room.
2 - nobody is a silent judger.
3 - Connor will always make a purchase to give away to a friend. this boy is packed with so much oldest protective generous brother energy and he's highkey obsessed with remaining this way.
4 - nobody is a careless spender. their parents all taught them better, lol.
5 - Noah would deny being wistful but he totally is. and he works hard for his pocket money so he won't spend it on just anything.
6 - Christopher would, totally. he always wants to try and make...anything.
7 - and Christopher would absolutely grill the vendor about the process so his own attempts would be closer to success.
8 - Avery wouldn't go looking for an argument, but he might accidentally start one while trying to be a little too pragmatic about something that requires whimsy (the purchasing of a trinket).
9 - Maisy has no interest in dallying at the beginning of the story, which is in stark contrast to how she normal interacts with frivolity: enthusiastically.
10 - Peter is busy counting heads or making lunch plans because he likes to be on top of things and know what's going on. if somebody gets his attention he could be persuaded to admire the tchotchkes. but he wouldn't have really noticed them otherwise.

Mini-challenge! The Tempting Tchotchkes asks
You and your new acquaintances are gathered by a vendor selling pretty but fairly useless items. What a person is willing to collect or discard can be an excellent opportunity to subtly show values and desires. Who is buying? Who isn't?
Who is most likely to purchase a frivolous but happiness-inducing trinket?
Who silently judges the purchase of frivolous items?
Who will always make a purchase to give away to a friend?
Who buys carelessly without really looking just because they like to spend money?
Who stares wistfully at the wares that they can't justify purchasing?
Who observes the wares carefully to try and replicate them later?
Who inquires about the crafting process with the vendor and compliments their skill?
Who gets into an argument with the vendor about the wares' assumed value or lack thereof?
Who can't wait to move on and shows no interest in dallying whatsoever?
Who is too busy counting heads or making lunch plans to even notice the vendor at all?

For the writeblr cauldron character asks:
4. What point of disagreement is your character most likely to get into a full blown argument on?
8. What sort of situation would persuade your character to behave like a totally different person?
Character(s) of your choice!
Answering for Maisy Beckett and the Watermelon Boys.
Noah, the second youngest of the boys, is very particular about getting facts correct. He doesn't need you to be embarrassed or anything, he just wants you to have the correct information and not say something is otherwise. He'll debate you up and down the street on the importance of knowing what's what.
At the beginning of the story, Maisy herself is acting very out of character, which is why her parents are so worried about her. She's reclusive, quiet, and listless, the complete opposite of who she normally is. And it's because she's deep in the middle of grieving her grandmother.
Thanks for asking!
