ᯓᡣ𐭩 EARLY LIFE & SCHOOLING !

april 11th, 2002: ophelia is born on a bright and sunny Thursday afternoon in Vernon, British Columbia.

may 9th, 2006: ophelia (4) takes her first ballet class

2008 - 2013: early childhood / elementary school

august 2010: ophelia (8) joined the soccer team and met her now best friend Amber Jameson; they have been inseparable since.

october 2013: ophelia (11) got an ankle injury during a soccer game and sadly had to quit the sport. Her love for ballet was stronger and she didn't want to risk not being able to dance again.

She had to stop dancing for the rest of the year so her ankle could heal, it was miserable for her.

2013 - 2016: start of her teenage years / middle school

march 2015: ophelia (12) joined the theater club and helped make the costumes for their play, in turn finding her love for fashion designing.

april 2016: ophelia (13) went to get her photos taken for her ballet portfolio and was approached by a teen modeling agency.

summer 2016: ophelia (14) went to south korea for a ballet summer intensive program.

She was housed by a sweet family, where she met one of her bestest friends seunghan and his younger brother park sunghoon who is her age. Seunghan is a fellow ballet dancer and went to the training camp with her.

Ophelia became very close with the family, only becoming closer with them as the years go by, she's an honorary park! Seunghan’s parents think of her as their own child and his little sister thinks of her as her big sis!

2016 - 2020: teen years / high school / start of her modeling career

december 2016: Ophelia (14) was on the cover of pointe magazine.

june 2017: ophelia (15) won first place in the Helsinki international ballet competition, in juniors for women.

august 2017: ophelia finished her first wedding dress that she made for her cousin's wedding.

may 2018: ophelia (16) won first place in the american ballet competition

july 2018: ophelia won first place in the varna international ballet competition

was invited to be on jimmy fallon after her win.

february 2019: ophelia (17) made her debut by walking the catwalk and attending the New York fashion week.

may 29th - june 2, 2019: ophelia walked and attended the miami fashion week

september 2019: ophelia walked and attended the paris fashion week

october 9th 2019: the creation of ophelia's youtube channel

Ophelia created her youtube channel so she could have another way to communicate and become closer with her fans.

She mainly posted vlogs of her days as a model and a ballet dancer, and her just traveling and doing random activities with her friends.

december 2019: ophelia walked and attended the NYFW: December pre-fall and fall-winter, fashion week.

february 2020: ophelia walked and attended london's fashion week, fall-winter.

Ophelia meets Ryan James, a fellow model, they exchanged numbers and Ophelia then got in a relationship with him in may.

June 2020: Ophelia (18) graduated highschool with honors.

july 2020: ophelia moved into her apartment/loft in manhattan, New York. With her best friend seunghan.

Throughout 2016 - 2020 ophelia modeled for many different high end brands, her favorites being Dior, Dolce and Gabbana, and GQ.

She was given the nickname “the next model it girl” for her sudden dominating presence in the modeling world.

september 2020: ophelia (18) starts her first year at juilliard

february 23 - march 1st 2020: ophelia walked and attended milan’s fashion week

march 2 - 9th 2020: ophelia walked and attend paris fashion week

Throughout the rest of the year ophelia really focused on her ballet career, putting modeling to the side, and focusing on her studies.

march 2021: ophelia (19) won the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP)

may 2021: ophelia won first place in the american ballet competition

july 2021: ophelia won first place in the varna international ballet competition

for the rest of the year, Ophelia modeled for many different brands, but she really just focused on her ballet career and getting more known in the fashion design world.

2022 : breakup era

april 11th 2022: Ophelia (20) broke up with Ryan after finding out he has been cheating on her for many months.

april, may, june, july 2022: ophelia took a break from anything that evolved with modeling during those months, trying to heal from her breakup. Throwing herself into training, practices, and her studies.

august 2022: ophelia modeled for celine as her comeback into modeling

was invited back on the jimmy fallon show where they talked about what she's been up to, the celine shoot, and her comeback to modeling

october 6-9th 2022: ophelia walked and attended los angeles fashion week

november 2022: ophelia was interviewed by WIRED where she talked about ballet and modeling and her love for fashion design

2023: meeting jack

march 3rd 2023: curtis gets traded to the new jersey devils

march 28th 2023: ophelia and Jack meet for the first time at a club and share a kiss.

april 18th 2023: ophelia joins curtis out at a bar to meet some of his teammates, and she sees jack for the first time since the club.

they keep what happened at the bar to themselves (besides Jack freaking out about it to Luke), and pretend to just meet each other for the first time.

april 25th 2023: ophelia and jack run into each other at a bar, things escalate and jack ends up bringing her back to his place where they hook up for the first time.

the next morning they talk about what happened, and how they need to keep what happened between them a secret. They want to keep seeing each other, so they decide to become friends with benefits.

july 2023: ophelia models for calvin klein

july 17th 2023: jack confesses his feelings to ophelia after 3 months of being friends with benefits.

Ophelia didn't take it well and left his apartment in haste (girly was afraid of her feelings and commitment) and they didn't talk for two weeks.

july 31st 2023: ophelia goes to jack’s apartment where she apologizes and asks him on a date.

august 1st 2023: jack and ophelia have there first date and officially start dating (secretly)

november 6th 2023: curtis holds a dinner at his home for his teammates, curtis finds jack and ophelia kissing in the garage and did not take it well.

curtis gives her an ultimatum ‘him or me’ in a moment of anger and that leads to ophelia not talking to either of them for a week, locking herself in her apartment.

november 14th 2023: curtis comes to see her early in the day to apologize for his reaction and what he said, later in the day jack comes to see her and they have a sweet moment, happy that everything is now okay between them.

january 12th 2024: ophelia and jack said i love you for the first time

january 24-28 2024: ophelia walked and attended miami fashion week

february 9-14th 2024: ophelia attended new york fashion week fall-winter

4. What are your top five fics by kudos?

The Imposter Art and Nature Boyfriend Material Eight and Fifty Nights Wind and Winter

No surprise three of those are from the same series (my most popular one). I kind of feel like The Imposter is my fandom legacy, which is fine by me; I'm proud of it.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I started out responding to every one. I barely do anymore, only because when I was writing long, chaptered fics, it became overwhelming. Lately I get many fewer, so I do respond to some. I tend to reply to comments on non-Sherlock fics more now, because the fandoms are smaller and I like to gas us up a little!

6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Am and Was, the final story in my fight!lock series Bleed So Pretty, ends with a double suicide.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Probably All Said and Done, the happy ending for the 1920s stately home series, Dawn Before the Rest of the World. But a lot of my fics have happy endings, even most of the angsty ones.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

I have! Very early on someone got very angry that AUs even exist, and took it out on one of my stories (maybe it was the first AU she ever read???); she mostly complained that I was writing Them out of character, which is probably true to some extent, but everyone has their own tolerance levels for that kind of stuff, so, whatever. Someone got very angry that one of my missing-scene fics based on a novel included verbatim text at the beginning and end (context being necessary to the bit I wrote in the middle), even though I made that VERY CLEAR in the beginning notes; she was not satisfied and felt I was a plagiarist, which to me is not a concept that even applies to transformative works, so again, whatever.

I don't mind any comment except ones that boil down to "I don't like this," because there's nothing I can do about that. I can fix spellings and punctuation, sew up plot holes, and make other minor adjustments to the technical stuff. But if someone just comments that they don't like the story, I'm helpless.

9. Do you write smut?

Very much so! I have written entire long novels just as set dressing for smut.

10. Do you write crossovers?

Several! I decided as soon as Sherlock came out on BBC that it takes place in the very same universe (London, present day) as Doctor Who/Torchwood (so, aliens exist). So I crossed those over a bunch. Doctor Who/Torchwood also got crossed over with Dexter, and with The Sandman comics. ACD!Holmes crossed over with Raffles, based on a screenplay of a film featured on MST3K. Black Sails is already Treasure Island pastiche, so that counts though I'm not responsible for it.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

I was a victim of netscraping of the AO3 by various pay-to-read schemes, twice. But to my knowledge, no one person has like, copy/pasted my fic and put their name on it as the author.

A couple in Russian, a couple in Chinese.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Twice. It's not really my jam.

14. What’s your all-time favourite ship?

Johnlock.

15. What’s the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

A final story in my Road to Home series, a fix-it fic where Donna gets her memory back (which I began writing in 2013 or 2014). Now that she's got it back in canon, it seems even less likely I'll ever finish it.

Dialogue.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Right now, discipline (mine, not in my BDSM AU characters')

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I've done it, probably not 100% correctly or well, but I try really hard (not just google translate! I consult native speakers!) to get it right. Generally I recommend keeping it to a minimum unless you learn the trick where AO3 lets you hover a cursor over text and you can put the translation in the pop-up. Too few people are multilingual.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

I wrote self-insert Duran Duran bandom fic starting when I was 12, in 1984. My first fic on the AO3 was a Sherlock fic.

20. Favourite fic you’ve ever written?

Don't make me choose! I can't choose a favourite child. Today I was writing on One-Man Advantage, so that's a fave because of recency bias, but I was also thinking about Stages, so that's a fave because when I think of it my heart aches. The Re/Formation of Billy Bones is a fave because I love the backstory I created for him and I think I wrote it well. At Depth is a tiny hidden gem. I love all the Christmas ones and all the snowed-in ones. I love the kinky ones and the fluffy ones and the ones with OCs. I love some I've forgotten about. I love'm all.

Trivia:

The opening dedication "For Dori" refers to Layne's youngest daughter, Doris, who was about six months old at the time of this video's publication.

This video was filmed at the Luxemore Grande Estate in Winter Park, which is primarily used for weddings and other large events. The venue coordination was handled by Jaimz Dillman, who had played Sarah Sanderson in PattyCake's "Hocus Heathens" Halloween video, and has continued to feature in their projects.

Leah has reprised her role as Cinderella in several episodes of PattyCake's "Princess Academy" series, as well as their "Disney Girls Like You" video in 2019, and their original piece "If the Shoe Fits" in 2023.

According to Bucky, there were many outtakes during the dance sequence because "the boots were big on me and that dress was ginormous".

The guys had known Bucky for many years prior to casting him in this project. He'd played the Wolfman opposite Tony's Dracula in the "Beetlejuice Revue" show at Universal Studios, and joined 4:2:Five as their new baritone when Layne switched over to vocal percussion in 2004.

A fan combined the audio from this project with footage from the 1950 Disney animated film to create a fantastic fanvid.

Many of the songs in this video were also later included in PattyCake's villainous Halloween offering for the year, "Look What You Made Me Brew".

Layne and Tony had previously sung a portion of "Bad Blood" in VoicePlay's "Aca Top 10 — Summer Hits 2015" countdown.

"I Knew You Were Trouble" was the foundation for VoicePlay's 2013 "Trouble" mashup music video with Rachel Potter, which led to them competing on The Sing-Off.

The dancers in the original "Shake It Off" music video include several of their fellow reality show veterans from So You Think You Can Dance — Phillip "PacMan" Chbeeb (s.5), Du-Shaunt "Fik-Shun" Stegall (s.10 winner), Jonathan "Legacy" Perez (s.6), & Melissa Sandvig (s.5).

You know I realised something the last time I saw Tarja live.

14 years ago, I used to wake up at 5am, get dressed, and go into London for a Tarja gig. I would wait outside the venue with my friends from 6:30am - 6pm when the doors would open and I would be there with *several* people all around my age. It would be a great time! I would be exhausted, but it was a great time! The feeling when seeing Tarja’s bus arrive around 11am, watching her get off the bus and wave at us all. That feeling of my heart jumping when she would walk past us to get coffee or lunch. It was something I cannot describe. I would go to the concert, dance and scream with my friend from Italy and give myself a violent sore throat. After the concert, we would wait and wait and wait until she came out of the venue at 1am just to meet her.

In 2023 (I’m 31 at this point), I went to see Tarja again. This time, I paid for the VIP experience so I didn’t have to get there so early. I could chill, go to sound check and the meet and greet. It was a great day! She’s a lovely person to meet (seriously like the nicest celebrity I’ve ever met next to Gates McFadden) and I had the money I could pay for it (I’m 32 now). It was the best day of my life and 18 year old me would have been screaming, crying, and throwing up. When I woke up that morning to go to the concert. I had to be at the venue for 2pm so Tarja’s assistant could meet with us, take our names, check our ID, and make sure we weren’t COVID ridden. On the train up there, I was expecting to see the next generation of Tarja girlies outside the venue, waiting, ordering pizza, and singing Tarja and Within Temptation songs, but when I got there - nothing. No one. It was empty. I was super surprised.

When I got home from the concert, the next day, I was reblogging Tarja stuff on tumblr and I saw that the most recent Tarja posts get 20 - 70 notes but older Tarja stuff from when I used to play around on Tumblr, in 2013, had hundreds, if not thousands of notes.

And then I realised something

Tarja fans grew up. We literally grew up. We moved on to other things. We no longer wait outside venues, scream when Tarja walked into a coffee shop across the street, make up songs, or joke about her anymore and I miss it. I miss being young. I realised last year that my adulthood as started and my childhood and adolescence was very much over and Tarja’s fans aren’t getting *any* younger.

Tarja was 32 when she started her solo career, the same age as I am now. I was fresh outta high school at 16. It’s… odd to think about. I brought her first solo album with my very first paycheck. I paid £22 for the deluxe edition of My Winter Storm. She’s in her mid 40s now, with a husband and a kid. She’s posting pictures of wine and her evening walks with her daughter. I remember a time when Tarja didn’t interact with her fans at all on social media and then COVID hit and suddenly she was playing piano for us on Instagram Live, drinking wine, and doing a Q&A.

What I’m saying is - things changed a lot over fifteen years and I didn’t even notice things changing. We got old and I didn’t even notice aging. I miss sitting outside venues and Tarja walking past, laughing that melodic laugh she has and saying “Wow, you guys are crazy! It’s so early!” But you could tell it meant something to her. Like she felt that same heart flutter we all felt.

I don’t really know how to end this rambling session so I’ll say this; I’m seeing Tarja open for Within Temptation in November and no I’m not getting there for 6am. I got seated tickets because my back hurts.

BLESSED LAWRENCE, FOOL-FOR-CHRIST AND KALUZHSK WONDERWORKER ( 1515)

Blessed Laurence, the Fool-for-Christ and Wonderworker of Kaluga, lived at the beginning of the XVI century at a distance of half a verst from old Kaluga, near a forest church dedicated to the Nativity of Christ, set upon a high hill.

There was a long underground entrance from his dwelling place to the church, where he attended services. He also lived at the home of the Kaluga Prince Simeon. It is thought that Blessed Laurence was descended from the noble Khitrov family, since his name is at the head of their memorial at the Peremyshl’sk Liutykov Monastery in the Kaluga diocese.

Blessed Laurence went barefoot both winter and summer, dressed in a shirt and sheepskin coat. By his ascetical struggles he had risen to such heights of virtue that during his lifetime, he was glorified by gifts of grace. He healed many diseases of the eyes through his prayers.

When the Crimean Tatars attacked Kaluga in May 1512, Blessed Laurence, then in the Prince's home, suddenly shouted in a loud voice: “Give me my sharp axe, for the curs are attacking Prince Simeon and I must defend him!” Saying this, he grabbed the axe and left. Suddenly, he was on board a ship next to the Prince. The Holy Fool Laurence inspired and encouraged the soldiers, and at that very hour they defeated the enemy.

Sometimes, he is depicted on icons with an axe in his right hand, set upon a long handle. It is certain that Prince Simeon (+ 1518), who owed his life to Blessed Laurence, built a monastery on the site of the Saint’s ascetical struggles and dedicated it to him.

Blessed Laurence reposed on August 10, 1515, on his Name Day. The Saint is also commemorated on July 8, perhaps in remembrance of his first posthumous miracle in Kaluga in 1621.1

In that year, the paralyzed boyar Lev Andreevich Kologrivov, who could not move his hands and legs, and was unable to speak, was placed near the tomb of Saint Laurence. During a Moleben, as the Gospel was read, the paralyzed man spoke and began to believe. Raising his right hand, he made the Sign of the Cross; then he stood up, went to the tomb and attached himself to it. By the end of the Moleben, he was able to speak normally, and became perfectly healthy.

Blessed Laurence seems to have been glorified in the second half of the XVI century. Tsar Ivan the Terrible wrote the following on a deed granting land to the monastery in 1565: “To the Monastery of the Nativity of Christ, where Laurence, the Fool-for-Christ lies."

During the Napoleonic invasion of Russia, the intercession of Blessed Lawrence for his native land was shown in a vivid manner. Kaluga became "the limit of the (French) offensive and the beginning of the enemy's retreat and destruction," according to an inscription on the Maloyaroslavets monument commemorating the battle on October 12, 1812.

In August 2018, some of Saint Laurence's relics were discovered in a storeroom of the Moscow Central Museum of the Armed Forces. On August 10/23, a portion of the holy relics was given to the Monastery in Kaluga where the body of Saint Laurence was once buried.

Dec 9, 2013 — Medium grey is a nice contrast for golden skin. A deep red (not pink) or a deep royal blue is also really eye catching on me. I would say go for more jewel colours if you have lighter skin (deep plum, red, royal blue, dark greens) but more tanned skin has a lot more options IMO with warm, earthy and bold colours.

earth-65 timeline thoughts

gwen kills peter at the prom, which would've taken place in may 2013 or 2014. even though the fact sheets say gwen was a senior when the janes were founded, and gwen's betty's ex-roommate in what's clearly a dorm-style living situation, her aging's slowed later on, so it looks like it was the junior prom and gwen's taking a gap year after her senior year instead of being a college dropout. also it appears that harry never finished school and went straight to the military instead of attending his senior year, or he's a year older than gwen. and the mary janes are... somehow already a band when gwen's a junior during her first week as spider-woman. the early days continuity's a mess. ugh. anyway. the one thing we know for sure is peter dies in may.

gwen's first issue takes place in about april 2015, about 2 years after she gets her powers and kills peter. gwen then spends a "few months" trapped in another dimension after the spiderverse event before she finally makes it home in time for most wanted.

issue 6 gives us something to go off: murdock's concert ticket is timestamped. the concert takes place on june 6 2015... even though for some reason the girls are dressed like it's winter and talk about being too broke to afford winter hats.

the goblin arc takes place during summer. the group mention as much. gwen works at the dollar dog during this time, for about a month.

clone conspiracy has to have happened around here, and gwen was in 616 for a few weeks.

when weapon of choice kicks off, it's autumn.

issue #13 takes place on halloween.

issue #14 takes place on thanksgiving.

issue #15 takes place around christmas.

sitting in a tree is clearly a valentine's event, but so much shit happens near the end of the latour run that it's got take place in january. also gwen's being referred to by bendis as 18, which she isn't.

gwen goes on the run with harry for at least a week in "predators" (long enough to get a tan), is rampaging as venom for maybe a month in "gwenom" and the night before her arrest it's snowing. so at the latest, it's late february 2016.

gwen's trial takes six months, so she's convicted and sent to prison in august 2016.

gwen is released in august 2017, exactly 365 days after her incarceration.

the mcguire run kicks off 52 days after gwen's release. after being stranded for a few days in 3109 during a spiderverse event, gwen heads to a community college's registrar's office while school appears to be in session, so it's late september at the earliest.

gwen goes to school long enough to establish a routine, so that's at minimum a month before she's exiled, which would mean that happens in october 2017 at the earliest. also somehow she's subject to cradle laws, so she's 20 at the oldest. even though it's been over 2 years since she was 19 at the start of the latour run. oh well. i guess gwen's been retconned to 18 at the start, turning 19 before she's convicted, and then 20 while she's in jail. and that peter dies much closer to gwen's first adventures as spider-woman.

big ??? about king in black, last remains, the shathra possession or gwenverse.

shadow clones confirms that gwen's been working at the smoothie shack for three months, so gwen's returned to her home dimension (which happens at some point between gvc and the shathra event) for that length of time, minimum. no snow on the ground, so it can't be winter.

and since gwen's annual takes place during the school year, it must be spring 2018. anyway whether the comics admit it or not gwen's 21 by now. the latest gwen's birthday can possibly be is april, to make her 18/newly 19 at the start of her chronology.

since gwen's not in college during the events of smash, i'm guessing it's spring break or summer 2018. or she's skipping. and that takes about a month because gwen's tour would've lasted about a week, plus a few more to make emjarnage's meltdowns a familiar routine. also, gwen and the girls drink what looks like alcohol during this event, so she's gotta be 21.

and sgtgs/the philips run picks up five days into gwen's second exile to 616. so one week after gwen's promising to be there for her friends, she's gone again. she doesn't seem to be in collegeor mention her absence, but may not be aged down. best case scenario she's cutting class or it's just summer break.

so overall the latour run condenses to just under one year, add one year for her prison time, and the mcguire run plus the minis taking about an academic year and you get: gwen’s been a hero for five years, and it’s been three since the start of her chronology.

Winter 2014 - Clean?

Karlie and Taylor have met by now and are quickly getting close.  Karlie appears to be spending quality time with Taylor through December 2013 and beyond.  There are reports that Karlie may have been at Andrea’s birthday party (early January.)

However according to the Lover Diaries Taylor is still feeling frustrated about love:

January 6, 2014

She ends out this journal entry by saying “They say if you love something let it go and if it comes back blah blah blah....So I’m leaving the day after tomorrow.  Dating is awful.  Love is fiction/a myth.  I’m over it all.”

That line about letting something go actually sounds a lot like This Love lyrics:

This love is good, this love is bad This love is alive back from the dead These hands had to let it go free And this love came back to me

This Love seems to be about her and Dianna’s fall 2012 reconciliation and is now referenced again a year and a half later.  That’s what makes me think she’s referencing Dianna in this journal entry.

She also mentions deciding to move to New York.  She had been seen searching for property in London in November 2013.  Karlie claims in an interview later on that she’s the one who convinced Taylor to move to New York.

Some time early winter 2014 - Taylor stops by the Glee set

Kevin tells the story on a 2020 episode of Showmance about Taylor visiting the Glee set “just to see who was there.”  We can’t be sure of the exact date but given the episode they’re reviewing we know it’s January or February of 2014.

The people Taylor were closest to on the Glee cast were of course Dianna obviously and Cory but Cory had passed away by this point.

This anecdote from Kevin and the Jan 6 Lover Diary entry make it clear there is a bit of residual Swiftgron pining and I think one last fling around this time in early 2014 becomes the inspiration for the song Style.

February 2014 - Dianna appears in UK InStyle done up like James Dean with her hair slicked back:

February 8, 2014 - Taylor writes Clean while in London - a song about finally being done with a relationship that’s officially been over for 10 months.  She’s finally clean of Dianna right?

The “months and months of back and forth” referenced in Clean I believe points to the time around September when they appear to attempt to reconcile and then Dianna’s increasingly frustrated Instagram posts that appear exactly when Taylor meets Karlie.

(Later on in an interview Karlie claims Clean is her favorite track on 1989)

February 14, 2014 - Dianna posts to IG a clip of her dog being funny and ignoring her and she says “Freddie doesn’t care. Not at all. February 14, 2014.”

February 19, 2014 - Sike she’s not Clean yet - Taylor writes Style - a song about a relationship that never goes out of style and about hooking up with an ex where you’ve both tried to move on, been with other people even, but are still drawn back to one another

It’s thought that Taylor may have seen Dianna in the UK copy of InStyle dressed up like James Dean and been inspired to write the song.

In interviews about this song Taylor says a lot of interesting thing.  First of all she says “there’s not always a case of who was right and who was wrong.” when she speaks about the relationship that inspired this song - it’s more complicated than that:

She also describes the person who inspired this song as “that one person who you feel like might interrupt your wedding and be like ‘don’t do it, cause we’re not over yet’ I think everybody as that one person who kind of floats in and out of their life and the narrative is never truly over.”

Taylor describing the relationship that inspired this song as intense but essentially something she’ll look back on without any malice and the phrase “that one person” is one of the key pieces of evidence that made me think that the break up songs on Red (which were described by Taylor as about a toxic relationship) could not be about Dianna.   Also the lyric in Clean - “just because you’re clean don’t mean you don’t miss it” tells me that however tough it got with Dianna she still misses her and thinks fondly of her.  

Back to the timeline...

Early March (March 6th?) - Taylor and Karlie go to Big Sur and I believe this is the official start to their relationship (due to the love locked down instagram post) - Swiftgron is essentially over.

[IS THERE A PATTERN?]: Okay this was by far the most interesting exercise of this kind I've done on tumblr. I really did not think there would be a pattern and yet it couldn't be more clear, even going back to stuff I wrote almost ten years ago. All of these are short statements of fact, character rather than environment based (maybe with the exception of slipped and daisies?) and god do I write present tense. It feels like they all definitely look and sound similar.

[FAVOURITE?]: this is also an interesting exercise because while I think of some of these as my favourite opening paragraphs/scenes (probably once, children, listening for that angel choir come to mind), I've never really thought of what my favourite opening line would be on its own. This is genuinely like asking me to choose a favourite child, lol. I think I'm going to go with truth ('truth is: he told May he did bad things') because I love the structure of that fic, and I just absolutely love that scene between May and Tommy ("Oh, I do bad things, but you already knew that.") But don't quote me on it, I might change my mind later.

I reckon everyone I know has already been tagged in this, so I won't push it. @copper-dust maybe? Honestly, anyone who hasn't been tagged and wants to do it, consider yourself tagged :).

Totally agree about costumes and status. Status had nothing to do with it. Tessa and her mom and everyone else was looking to put VM in the best position to win. That was the main goal. Period.

I always imagined that the many different costumes of that season came about for a few reasons: the program itself was amorphous and lacked clear vision from VM themselves so they tried out a bunch of things, this was going to be the last season so Tessa really went for it in terms of trying out looks and getting as many different ones as she wanted because it was going to be the last chance to do that competitively, they had more money from their sponsors/tv show/touring etc. and invested more because it was the Olympic season, maybe some frustration at the position they were in with DW and trying lots of different looks to try to make headway. As wonderful as Tessa looked in all of the costumes, it just added to the chatter around Seasons. But at least that led to the comeback.

I just wish we got to see the green dress again. Sigh.

@twizzleenthusiast actually had a really interstring suggestion that perhaps the different costumes during the seasons were trying to represent the four different seasons, or to quote her:

"I kind of assumed they were literally supposed to evoke different seasons (white - winter, green - spring, pink - summer, red - autumn)"

and that's actually a take that never even crossed my mind but does raise a really good point. I agree with both your suggestions being also part of it but as you said I think since the program never clicked the costuming situation was just another part of the narrative of it being incohesive.

But yeah, we've discussed Seasons and 2013/14 a lot in the past few days but it truly led us to the comeback and that was as close to a fairytale ending as we could have hoped for so it makes things easier to swallow in retrospect.

January 10, 2013 - People’s Choice Awards

Haylor is done, Harry is back in the UK, but Taylor shows up with a hickey anyway.  (Dianna is in LA at this time.)

Some time this month Taylor writes How You Get The Girl which is about obviously someone who comes back to get the girl.  She references “standing in the rain” and “a long six months.”  It’s hard to know if these details are more “fanfic” or actual autobiographical details.

This six months may actually refer to the end of bearding for a while (because it seems like Swiftgron did reunite in Paris in early October.)  Exactly six months after Taylor started dating Conor Kennedy would be January 25th, 2013.

As for the rain...

It rained twice in LA this month according to weather reports on the 21st and on the 23rd:

Dianna is in LA at this point and has started a private Tumblr blog under the name whosirmesir (we verified it was hers over on @swiftgron-get-married - and you can click here for more on that if you’re curious and actually I did an entire podcast episode walking people through it if you’re like like to listen to an in depth breakdown of it click here for apple OR click here for spotify OR click here for google.  

I also recommend searching the whosirmesir tag on @swiftgron-get-married​ because we’ve logged a lot of interesting moments and connections to Taylor (quotes, art, and other items that tie DIanna and Taylor together.)

On the private tumblr on January 25th Dianna reblogs this:

It reads “i think we’re just gonna have to be secretly in love with each other and leave it at that...”

This is also the time period it is rumored that Dianna proposed to Taylor.  I’m not sure what to make of these rumors.  I have not been able to get anywhere near confirming them.  It’s entirely unsubstantiated - but I explored the rumor further in this blog post (click for link.)  And also on the podcast (will link just a bit down in this post because it relates to something else we’re about to discuss.)

February 4, 2013 - Dianna recommends “Far Nearer” by Jaime on twitter:

February 9, 2013 - Neruda quote on Tumblr from Dianna

Dianna posts a quote to Tumblr.  The translation is, “I love you as certain dark things are loved, secretly, between the shadow and the soul.”

It’s worth noting that Taylor namechecked Neruda in the Red album booklet.

February 10, 2013 - The Grammys

Dianna wants to make sure everyone is watching:

She won for Safe and Sound:

And she performs her circus themed rendition of WANEGBT (where she mocks Harry Styles on stage making fun of his accent when she sings the “so he calls me up on the phone” part of the song even though this song was written before she was even with him.)

The only other time Dianna tweeted about the Grammys was when Glee was involved the year before.

February 14, 2013 - Achele breakfast and The Inside Source at Glee Tweet

According to a Facebook user Cory, Dianna, and Lea have breakfast this morning (or around this time):

Later that day Taylor posts the infamous tweet:

The Glee Episode “I Do” airs and there is no Taylor song included.  However Dianna and Naya’s characters hook up:

After the episode airs Taylor deletes her tweet.

As always I’m not entirely sure what to make of this but to me it boils down to three possibilities:

1.  The fandom seems to think this proves that Dianna purposefully tricked Taylor into watching her “hook up” with Naya on screen.  It’s completely possible that that’s the case but I think the next two options make a bit more sense.

2.  It was a simple misunderstanding or a joke gone wrong.  Taylor had a song earlier on that season of glee (Mine sung as a breakup song by Naya) and I have been told another song of Taylor’s was marketed for another glee episode later that spring.  Perhaps someone got their wires crossed and misinformed Taylor.  

3.  Other nefarious parties:  

a.  It’s possible that Lea was behind this - she publicly had beef with Taylor at one point and she had been with Dianna that morning.  Maybe she met up with DIanna, heard about Swiftgron being happy and back together and got a little jealous and decided to prank Taylor.  

b.  Ryan Murphy also seemed to despise both Dianna and Taylor around this time.  He was also famous for stirring up drama with Gleeks on twitter and generally sewing discontent (particularly surrounding wlw ships and fans).  Ryan seems to have a problem with women/lesbians in general.  He treated Brittana as a couple horribly on Glee as well as their shippers.

He very publicly shaded Taylor in season one of Scream Queens and said in an interview that Dianna ruined Quinn for him because he said she made her sympathetic. 

Not only that but in season 3 he destroyed her character - he made her have a mental breakdown - he had her try and steal a baby - he had her get hit by a car - and a huge plotline in season 3 was Quinn begging Rachel (Lea’s character so Dianna’s irl ex) not to marry Finn (played by Cory - literally the guy Lea chose Dianna over - this is like...emotionally abusive if you ask me.)  After season 3 Dianna only appeared in 8 episodes of the remaining 55 after being in every episode and the top third billed of the cast in the first three seasons.

Furthermore in a show called The New Normal there was a bitchy actress character named Brynn who he wrote as high maintenance and unpleasant and then killed off.

So yeah...seems fair to at least consider that Ryan or Lea who publicly had problems with both Taylor and Dianna may have been trying to create problems for Swiftgron.  One last note about Lea - there was not a single Achele interaction for the entire year of 2013.  The most we got was Dianna liking a tweet about Lea’s album in December 2013 and when asked about one another in interviews they would vaguely say they were still friends.  No tweets to one another, no birthday messages, no candids, no hang outs.  Lea’s book was also written around this time and does not make a single mention of Dianna - her former roommate and “best friend” even though she spends plenty of time talking about others on the Glee cast.

While I’m not entirely sure Dianna had anything to do with this tweet Taylor references this date (2-14-13) by putting it on a dollar bill as a serial number in The Man music video:

At any rate Taylor deletes the tweet and replaces it with one about her dancers:

Dianna tweets 9 hearts that day (I don’t know if that’s significant but if they were together from March 2012 to July 2012 and then October 2012 to this point it would mean 9 months together...)

Taylor listed this as a quote to live by in an interview with Marie Claire a few months later.

I’m not sure if it’s important but Dianna is very quiet this winter and spring in terms of showing up at events, parties, even being papped out on the street compared to other years around this time.  She seems to disappear a bit.

About the Red Tour - the last act of the tour seems to be circus themed which may have been inspired by Dianna’s 26th birthday the previous year and really interestingly Taylor has a white rabbit, which is a reference to Alice in Wonderland (Dianna’s favorite piece of media ever) follows Taylor around stage during the WANEGBT performance as she’s dressed up like a circus ringleader:

Conclusion - Swiftgron is on but completely underground.  Dianna is blogging and tweeting romantic things about missing girls, Taylor’s interests, and secret love, all while watching Taylor perform at the Grammys and encouraging others to tune in.  Something weird happened with the inside source at Glee tweet but who knows what.  Dianna seems a bit restless and emo while Taylor leaves to go on tour.
