The history book on the shelf

"I know you've been at this for a little while already, but now the firehouse is up and running again, we can finally make it official."

Winston's voice rumbled through the firehouse as he clapped Pheo on the shoulder with one hand, the other holding out a jumpsuit for him to take.

The man's nervousness was palpable as his ward took the uniform, running his hands over the ectoplasm-proof fabric.

Pheo, however, was too busy examining the jumpsuit with starry eyes to notice, not missing the handsewn screwdriver patch on the right arm, matching the Ghostbusters logo on the left. His father's many original patches had mostly been lost to time, and this one was clearly recreated from memory, as the thread was new, the stitches fresh. He appreciated the sentiment regardless, and folded the jumpsuit reverently over his arm, looking up at Winston with a determined nod.

The bright red lettering of the name patch glared up at both of them, and Winston knew he'd probably get a scolding from Catt later for it, but he didnt care.

Instead of the customary last name, it was his first, just like Rookie's own jumpsuit so long ago, when he flew to England and had to sew his own name tag when it ripped.

"Welcome to the team… rookie."

Winston murmured, and gladly accepted the hug his young ward smothered him with, a soft smile crossing his face.

Miniature Railway (1959)

Apr 13, 2014 Romney, Kent.

L/S of a lovely looking train locomotive. A man stands next to it and one realises how small the train is. It is one third of an ordinary train size - says voiceover. However, this is not a toy but a regular public railway, smallest in the world. It is officially known as the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway, it runs between Romney and Dungeness and its passengers are children. This tiny railway must conform to the same Ministry of Transport regulations as any other trains. M/S of a driver Mr Bill Hart, checking the train. C/U shot of a plaque reading "Winston Churchill". This is the engine's name. Several shots of Mr Hart checking the train. Mr Hart enters his cabin and starts shovelling coal into a boiler. C/U shot of the coal being thrown in and a little door closed. This train takes one third of the coal needed for a regular size train. The train starts moving.

L/S of the two men turning derailed locomotive on turntable to place it on rails. M/S of a woman cleaning windows along the train. Children arrive and station master, Reg Marsh, directs them to their coaches. M/S of the group of girls entering the train.  M/S of the station master Mr Marsh blowing a whistle as a sign that train leaves the station. M/S of an elderly man looking at a huge pocket watch on a chain, and afterwards, in direction of the train. He is  Captain Howey, a man responsible for having the line built. C/U shot of the watch - Roman numerals. M/S of Mr Howey as he puts the watch in his pocket. C/U shot of Mr Howey's face.

M/S of the little train moving. C/U shot of its little chimney with a smoke coming out. M/S of the Rose family from Sanderstead, Surrey with their dog Trixie enjoying the ride C/U shot of driver's face with the smoke covering it up to the point it becomes invisible. Another little train passes it going in different direction. Several shots of the two little trains moving. A car stops to wait for the train to pass. Also, Winston and Elisabeth have ended up with three cats!  Milk is a sweet hairless cat, Fish is a chonky fuzzy cat - These two were originally owned by Winston’s mother, Ashtin. The third “cat” was bred from Dylan and Catt’s cat “Nick” and their Raccoon “Chonk” - Which means Noodle there at the bottom is actually half-cat, half-raccoon.

Beatrice has been so fussy, and so needy that it’s making it harder for Elisabeth and Winston to do their schoolwork. They would drop Beatrice off across the street to be babysat by Catt and Dylan, but Isabella is still living there and has stated that she doesn’t want to even see Beatrice for a while.

Meet John Sloan

John is the eldest child of Dylan and Catt. As a child, He was incredibly charismatic and playful. John and Winston were childhood best friends, and are still close today. John graduated from Britechester with a degree in Drama, and is now working as Comedian and lives alone in Evergreen Harbor. 

Also, John has the “Single and Lovin’ It” Lifestyle and has had a long-time fling with a ‘Noncommittal’ Sim. One day I���m tempted to move her in, but have them never “Officially” become a couple.

Almost everyone is stuffed into Dylan and Catt’s house, In anticipation of Isabella’s baby. Everyone is excited - Well, Except for Isabella. Winston has been primarily focused on getting through school, He’s taking more classes than anyone.  Winston got a call from home, though. He found out that his mom, also Catt’s best friend, had passed away from old age. 

Ashtin actually passed away before I was able to take screenies of her :(

Meet Catt Sloan

Hey! It’s me, Or my simself that is - As an elder. I originally started this save file months and months ago, But unfortunately I was not taking screenshots.

Where we enter this story, Catt Sloan is a retired elder sim. She tried to become a teacher, but got fired. So she decided to pursue another passion - Cooking! It worked out much better, and she ended up getting very high in the career before retiring. She did not pursue fame, though. As Catt just wanted a quiet life with her husband, Dylan. Catt settled down in Brindleton Bay, Across the street from her long-time best friend, Ashtin, and her son, Winston. Catt knows her husband Dylan was hoping for a quiet retirement to themselves, but Catt just has a funny feeling that just won’t happen.
