Genius says we need CPU battles. That would actually be interesting. I thought this turf victory was rather interesting in that the percentage numbers were all the same just switched around.

Undertale NPCs tournament Losers Round 1 summary
Losers Round 1 finished up a bit ago, some characters got kicked out, some im VERY sad about :(
This part of the bracket is the part I'm most excited about personally! Very curious about the lesser known characters. A lot of these matches ended up pretty close! Let's look at the points of interest this round:
The least popular character of Losers Round 1 was:
Business Dragon!
Business Dragon only had 140 votes. Sad! Anyways,
The most popular match of Losers Round 1 was:
Blue Soul vs Business Snail!
Probably because I reblogged the post twice... But that was because this was also the { Closest Match }, we were tied for a bit! There was a bit of a cult following for the blue soul for some reason, I'm genuinely surprised the snail one this one. Oh my gosh, Business Snail is also the { Most Popular Character } with 723 votes. :(
The least popular match of Losers Round 1 was:
Kid Slime (hatted) vs Business Manticore!
Weird! People seemed to really like the manticore!
The most agreed upon match of Losers Round 1 was:
Diamond Kid (hatted) 27.7% vs Hotland Mouse 72.3%
The people liked this mouse! This wasn't an overwhelming win, but it was the biggest difference!
Thank you for participating!
Losers Round 2 will start tomorrow! And then Round 3 immediately afterwards! Hooray!

With its 16 electoral votes, North Carolina is strategically important for both presidential campaigns. If Donald Trump wins there as well as in Georgia and Pennsylvania, he will have the 270 electoral votes he needs. If he doesn’t, he will need two other states outside his Electoral College base. Kamala Harris could win the presidency by carrying all of the Blue Wall states. But if she loses one of them, then North Carolina offers her the most likely route to victory, because Georgia and Arizona are leaning increasingly toward Trump in the election’s waning days.1
Of the seven swing states this year, North Carolina is the most puzzling. It is the only swing state that Donald Trump carried in 2020 while losing the national popular vote by 4.4 points. He received 49.9% of the state’s popular vote, compared to 46.9% nationally, while Biden underperformed his national share by 2.7 points in North Carolina, garnering only 48.6%. In short, Trump ran nearly six points ahead of his national showing in the Tar Heel State.
Because Trump is much more competitive in the national popular vote and in the swing states this year, he would be expected to be well out in front in North Carolina. But he isn’t. All the poll aggregates show him with a lead of at most one point, not much better than he is performing nationally.
We have good reason to believe that both campaign’s internal polls are consistent with the public polls. Candidates’ time is scarce and precious in the closing days of a presidential election. But both candidates have spent a lot of time in the state; on October 30, both candidates visited North Carolina yet again.
So why is North Carolina, a state that Trump should be leading comfortably and that Democratic presidential candidates have carried only twice in the past half century, in play this year?
Since 2020, North Carolina’s population has increased by nearly 400,000, behind only Texas and Florida, so one hypothesis is that the state’s rapid population growth has shifted the political balance in the Democrats’ favor. But the voter registration statistics tell the opposite story. Since 2020, the number of Democrats registered to vote has fallen by 168,000 while the number of registered Republicans has risen by 118,000, cutting the Democrats’ edge from almost 400,000 in 2020 to just 113,000 now.
Another plausible hypothesis is a pro-Harris mobilization of the state’s Black voters, who make up nearly one-quarter of the state’s electorate. Again, the data we have so far goes in the other direction. In 2020, Trump received only seven percent of the Black vote. This year, according to the polls, his share is likely to more than double.
A third hypothesis: Traditional Republicans could no longer stomach Donald Trump and are breaking ranks to support Harris. Again, plausible but incompatible with the evidence to date. Trump is receiving about 95% of the Republican vote this year, as he did four years ago.
The most plausible hypothesis of all: A massive outpouring of women angered by the Dobbs decision overturning Roe v. Wade. But in North Carolina, the opposite seems to be the case. According to several well-regarded polls, Harris is only breaking even with Trump among women. (Conversely, Trump’s edge among men is remarkably small.)
The evidence we have so far supports only one conclusion: Trump’s lead in North Carolina is smaller than expected because he is performing significantly worse among white voters than he did four years ago. According to the 2020 exit polls, Trump beat Biden by 66% to 33% in this group, which makes up nearly two-thirds of the state’s electorate. This year, his share of the white vote is down to 58% while Harris is receiving about 40%.
If Marist’s recent North Carolina poll is accurate, this trend stretches across the much-discussed education gap in white America. Harris’ share of whites without college degrees is 29%, compared to Biden’s 21%. Four years ago, Biden got the support of only 50% of whites with college degrees, but Harris’ share stands at 61%.
It is possible that when the votes are counted, the North Carolina puzzle will disappear, and that Trump’s performance will be consistent with both history and his overall national vote. But if the discrepancy persists through Election Day, analysts will be asking why so many white North Carolinians deserted the nominee of the party that almost always wins the state.

FINAL ROUND - Sea, Poetry, Blade
With the end of the second BBAU tourney, we have our winner!
Love her or hate her, Baldina 📓 reigns supreme!!
Tourney bracket chart.
Full rankings. All characters are sorted based on the % they earned during their last round in the tourney. If more than one share the same number, they then share the placements. Mikkie 🦿 is at the bottom because he didn't have any pre-existing matchups before round 2, so it was his round 1.
Baldina 📓 (round final: 48.6%)
Denied 🦈 (round final: 40.5%)
Frances 🗡️ (round final: 10.8%)
Carl 🌮 (round 2: 38.5%)
Juan 👓 (round 2: 36.8%)
Michael 🐍 & Taffy 🎤 (round 1: 48.1%)
Matchabun 🐇 (round 1: 46.4%)
Alien King 👾 (round 1: 14.3%)
Wildy 🆗 (round 1: 10.3%)
Mikkie 🦿 (round 2: 10%, no pre-existing matchups)
Thank you to everyone who participated, voted, shared, rooted for certain characters, and so on!
Thoughts are in the Read More!
Woman win. Women keep winning. Failgirl became Girlboss. She is the hashtag #Queen. Have you memorized your poetry lately? YOU BETTER!!!
All jokes aside, this was great. I honestly don't mind Denied losing in the end. He had a good run! Second place is easily better than last.
I'm considering doing yet another tourney like this one, but with everyone again, and then some (NOT ANYTIME SOON DON'T GET EXCITED). ScoreCount maxes out at 32, so I could bite the bullet and do that. Would mean finding a Baldi replacement (🥁), as well as nine more entrants. Oh God, that's so many...
Maybe like. Nicholas. Spoopier. Eddy. Axel. (shuffles index cards) Uhhhh Maldo? Time? Max? Karen? Or maybe more of the newer guys. Like uhhhhhhhhhhhHHHHHHHHHHH oh God who is there, fuck, I'm not well-versed in those fangames. Leave suggestions if you want!!!
And by fangames, I do mean completed and shared mods. WIPs that never get released won't qualify, sorry.

[ID: first post is a video clip of Dubas speaking to the media. He says, “It will be foolish not to try and get those younger players in around those players like Sid, like Kris Letang, like Bryan Rust. I mean, people who come in every single day and operate at an extremely high level and get the most out of themselves, so...” Second post is a tweet by @/Real_RobRossi that reads: Dubas on Reilly Smith: [quote] “From mid November on, I thought Rakell was hurt and Malkin wasn't very good. I think that affected Reilly. Then (Smith) got hurt.” [End quote.] Said Smith with Eller, Pusstinen [quotes] “was best fit.” “I expect bounce back year.” [end quotes.] END ID]

#pens lb#sorry its been hours but im still so pissed at the dig at g when regarding smith#and for excluding him (esp when the original question mentioned the core)#when hes literally in the top 4 for everything despite having his line constantly fucked with or giving him unreliable players#like you said oh these players suck then just stuck them with him anyways??#also sorry but i will ALWAYS be a hater for reilly smith and this just fortifies it ! if he has no haters then assume im dead !!

Star Patient Chapter 7 Poll results
Oh my, the results are in!
So, I did some math. From Tumblr alone, separate chapters is 48.6% and all together is 51.4%
I posted this poll on AO3, Quotev, and Wattpad as well and added the results with the Tumblr votes.
Adding all the no's for keep same chapter to the Tumblr votes: 45.45%
Adding all the yes's for separate chapters to the Tumblr votes: 54.55%
That means that with all votes counted from all different websites: Keep the backstory in different chapters wins!
Honestly now that I think about it, it makes sense since nowadays we're becoming more flexible to readers who have a hard time processing long chapters and multiple plot twists all in one, so maybe this was for the best.
At the moment, chapter 7 is currently at 8,000+ words. I won't estimate a date for when it'll be released because my schedule is pretty sloppy and changes regularly, but stay tuned for when it does come out! The backstory is about half-way to 3/4 completed.

Losers Bracket Round 1 Round Up
Biggest nail-biter: Our first ever tie, Bracket A Poll 1, All My Life vs You Can Make Me Free. The tie-breaker was anything but close, though.
Biggest upset: Bracket A Poll 21, To Make You Feel My Love vs Everybody Has a Dream. The sole cover in the bracket, released on Greatest Hits Volume 3, vs a song from The Stranger!
Widest margin: Bracket A Poll 2, You Picked a Real Bad Time vs I Don't Want to Be Alone, with a margin of 4.3% to 95.7%.
Closest margin: Excluding the tie, Bracket A Poll 11, Shades of Grey vs All About Soul, with a margin of 51.4% to 48.6%.
Most votes: Bracket A Poll 32, Stiletto vs Ain't No Crime, with 40 votes.
Least votes: Bracket A Poll 30, Rosalinda vs Temptation, with 15 votes.
Dark horse winners: Since all these songs lost in round 1 the first time, in a way they're all dark horses, but Bracket A Poll 6, Nocturne vs No Man's Land gave an instrumental a win.
Cold Spring Harbor and River of Dreams are well represented in this group of winners!
Losers Bracket Round 1 winners playlist:
Round 2 is now open!
Don't take any shit from anybody!

Church of Scotland leaders have pledged “radical reform” to win new converts after census data revealed for the first time that most people in the country have no religion.
The latest statistics showed 51.1 per cent did not have a religious faith, and in more bad news for the Kirk, only 20.4 per cent said they were church members, a fall of 610,100 since 2011 and of more than 1 million since 2001.
Rev David Cameron, convener of the assembly trustees of the Church of Scotland, said the statistics were “sobering” and would be “hurtful for our members and a source of anxiety for many”. He added: “Radical reform is necessary to address this alongside our falling ministry numbers and a reduction in income both nationally and locally.”
Cameron insisted the church’s “relevancy cannot be expressed simply as a set of numbers in a table” and stressed its continuing work in areas such as drug dependency services and debt support schemes.
The Humanist Society of Scotland said the figures showed that Scotland had become more humane and “progressively-minded” than ever before, in terms of religious belief. Fraser Sutherland, the society’s chief executive, said: “More people feel confident and open about expressing an atheist, secular or agnostic world view than ever before.
“We want to build on the momentum for change that these figures show, and continue to fight for changes in Holyrood and across the country that reflect our humanist values: secularism, bodily autonomy, LGBT inclusion and an end to religious privilege.”
“No religion” was the most common response in every council area except for the Western Isles, a traditional church stronghold, and Inverclyde. Despite this, secularism is increasing in the islands. The proportion of people with no religion there grew from 11.4 per cent in 2001 to 29.9 per cent in 2022.
The next largest religious groups were Roman Catholic (13.3 per cent), “other Christian” (5.1 per cent) and Muslim (2.2 per cent). Since 2011, the number of people who described themselves as Catholic has decreased by 117,700, while the number in the “other Christian” category has decreased by 12,000. Only the Muslim faith grew, increasing by 43,100 over the same period.
Young people were most likely to have no religious faith, but even in the 65-plus age group, the number with no religion has more than doubled since 2011 — an increase of 186,700 people (from 14.1 per cent to 28.6 per cent ). Men (53.8 per cent) were more likely to be religious than women (48.6 per cent).
During lockdown, the Scottish government chose to delay the census, scheduled in 2021, citing Covid restrictions. This meant it would be the first census in 150 years not to simultaneously cover all parts of Britain (Scotland always had a separate census but it was timed to align with the rest of the UK).
Data from England and Wales was collected in 2021 and has already been published. It also showed an increase in the number of people reporting no religion over recent decades, but from a lower starting point.
Jon Wroth-Smith, director of Scotland’s census statistics, said its 2022 data gave a “fascinating insight” into religion, ethnicity, national identity and language.
The percentage of people in Scotland with a minority ethnic background increased from 8.2 per cent in the previous census to 12.9 per cent in 2022. This was a larger increase than over the previous decade (from 4.5 per cent to 8.2 per cent).
“Without migration Scotland’s population would have decreased, and we would have fewer people in younger age groups,” Wroth-Smith said. Last year, 17.8 per cent of Scotland’s population aged between 20 and 39 were born outside the UK, although the overall percentage of people born outside the UK is still relatively small, at about 10 per cent.
The “other white” category rose to 56,600 people. About three quarters of people in this group had European heritage, and the number of Poles increased by 29,500.
Aberdeen had the highest percentage of people from a Polish background (4.4 per cent) and 3.2 per cent of people in Edinburgh identified as Poles. However, as a grouping, Poles are spread out across Scotland more than most other minority ethnic groups, with more than half (54.2 per cent) living outside the four major cities.
Feelings of Scottish national identity were on the rise, with those defining themselves as Scottish climbing from 62.4 to 65.5 per cent. The percentage of people who said their only national identity was British also increased, from 8.4 to 13.9 per cent. “Scottish and British” people are in retreat, decreasing from 18.3 per cent to 8.2 per cent.
The census also found that 2.5 per cent of those aged 3 and over had some skills in Gaelic in 2022. This is an increase of 43,100 since 2011, when 1.7 per cent had some skills in Gaelic.

Scotland, like every country, especially European, needs to keep a close eye on the growth of the Muslim population, especially in regard to integration with Scottish culture.
No, I will not apologize for saying that.

Best K.K. Song Primary Round 4 Results:
Steep Hill 54.8% / Spring Blossoms 45.2%
Robot Synth 54% / Lovers 46%
Bubblegum 53.5% / Cruisin' 46.5%
Jongara 52% / Forest Life 48%
Bossa 51.4% / Metal 48.6%
Disco 50.3% / Stale Cupcakes 49.7%
We're entering the semi finals of the primary bracket, but since this is double elimination, these songs will have to win three more times to take the whole thing. Round 5 starts tomorrow!
Since I've already placed songs in the secondary bracket in reverse order and mirrored order, this time I've manually placed the losers in the secondary bracket based on what was least likely to result in rematches. Below the cut are the potential future rematches as well as which ones I avoided by placing the songs where they are:
All these rematches would potentially occur during the green three way round. It's still possible that there will be rematches in the yellow round, but that is impossible to avoid.
Stale Cupcakes: Avoided: Drivin', Salsa Possible Rematch: Soul
Forest Life: Avoided: Ragtime Possible Rematch: Ska
Lovers: Avoided: Two Days Ago Possible Rematch: Lucky
Cruisin': Avoided: Animal City Possible Rematch: None
Metal: Avoided: Rockin' Possible rematch: None
Spring Blossoms: Avoided: K.K. Rider Possible rematch: None
so as you can see, the songs on the right hand side are there because there is no way they could end up in a rematch. Lovers and Forest Life are equally as likely to end up in a rematch on either side as there is still one song in the running they've faced before on both sides, so I just avoided putting them near those songs so they won't run into them until the three way poll. Stale Cupcakes is twice as likely to rematch on the right than on the left, as there are two songs still in the running on the right, so it had to go on the left.
#yesterday I said the primary bracket would be easy for me to vote in but when I said that I thought for sure disco would lose to cupcakes#but now I'll have to actually think about my choice on that side. they're all good but two of them are really good#I watched it flip between disco and cupcakes every few minutes the last two hours so it really felt like it was up to chance#just which one would get lucky at the time the poll closed. the difference was less than 10 votes#I still think cupcakes has a very real chance of being final two though

The only problem is that this makes it look like gen z is the majority, despite it being millennials with 48.6%.
This is an excellent example of why voting third party (in the US for president) is bad — the majority will win, and voting for a third party opens the door for the non-majority to win
I saw a post about tumblr user ages...
Reblogs are welcomed for that sweet, sweet increased data pool (aka getting more than 20 responses 😅)
#i hope that makes sense#also my followers are probably groaning#but polls are just such a good way to show why voting is so important

Game 16 In Brief Sat, June 22 3:00pm EDT Dallas @ Washington
Starting: WASH: Atkins, Dolson, Hines-Allen, Samuelson, Vanloo (Austin hip recovery, Sykes foot injury, Edwards back injury) DAL: Howard, McCowan, Ogunbowale, Sheldon, Uzun (Sabally, Jaelyn Brown, Siegrist out)
1st Quarter Back home with McWin <3. Still no Sykes or Austin, Edwards sitting out today as well. The Wings have injuries of their own to deal with. It is good to see Natasha Howard back in business. Our second possession we find Stef early for a signature 3. Cool scoop save from Jacy Sheldon as the ball is headed out of bounds, but a replay reveals it was an unwhistled foul on Karlie. We're a little jittery here early but the Wings can't make a shot. I jinxed it—Sheldon drops a three. Engstler responds after checking in. McWin are gassing her up. Oops, we force a shot clock violation then throw it to the opponents for an unmarked 3. It's 6-8. Our on-ball defense has been excellent. Wings shot percentage is terrible in part as a result of that. JVL 3. We're on a 7-0 run and Coach Trammell calls time. Arike is struggling to mark Engstler who just hit another 3. Defense is still high intensity from us. 20-13 after 1.
2nd Quarter Nice slingy shot by Jado to open the 2nd. Shatori then gets the DREB and hits a 3. Psych it's a long 2 but our lead it now 11 :) The Wings would be wise to go after our bigs for fouls since we are seriously short-handed there. Damn, Arike heard me. 30-17. Jado steals the inbound pass after shooting free throws. DC is playing like they gave everyone free lattes but made the Wings' decaf. Nice pass from Engstler to Earl under the hoop. JVL lateral pass finds Stef with too much space and it's 3 all day. Stef misses the next try, but Engstler gets one after. We're at 44-29. The Wings are all over the place with their defense. Karlie gets in on the 3 fun. Some wisdom from Christy: "You gotta go for the things that you want or it's never going to happen." The lead is TWENTY by the way. Sheldon cuts into it with a 3. 51-34 at the half.
3rd Quarter Dallas with 4 quick points as the Stef 3 is missing at the moment, uncharacteristically. Yish 3. DC staying active blocking passes. Sheldon hits the deck after running into Stef and it's called a blocking foul even though Stef had the ball and was feeding it to JVL who made the 3. >:( Stef likes the top corner of the key—and those 2 pts give her a double-double. Dallas stringing together some good possessions with bench players in. We appear to be attempting more creative offense the last few minutes, with mixed results. This time ending in a Shatori 3. Lead is 21. Karlie slip pass inside to toss up Shatori's dime. Dallas zone is ineffective. Oh snap! Mystics games will be broadcast on radio!!! As far as I know this has never happened before. Any other teams getting radio coverage? In past years I haven't found it. Hawk-Eye has really cornered the market on replay footage (etc) across sports. McWin continue to deliver the pinnacle of live sports commentary. 73-51.
4th Quarter Arike is struggling tonight, not sure what's up. Lead remains 20 and for once it seems durable. Stef 2 and Karlie 3 and the bench is already bored with the winning lol. Howard is getting some excellent shots up. Mo, don't knock Stef to the ground like that! Stef goes and gets another 2 the other way. Karlie has another 3—she's 3 of 4. A Shatori pass is too spicy for a streaking DiDi. Emily and Kalani have a cute interaction after a flagrant foul, it's all love. Sheldon hits a 3 but the lead has strecthed to 25 for us. Make it 27, as DiDi disappears in the Dallas zone and finds the net. Sheldon goes again, however. Jade with a nice steal. Respect to Dallas, they have not displayed any frustration or chippiness despite what must be a disappointing day. We have disrupted three passes in three possessions now. 97-69 final.
Stef with a double-double. Engstler getting shoutouts from teammates for her game-leading 23 pts. We shot 48.6% as a team and limited turnoevers to 15. My favorite stat of the night is that all but 2 Mystics recorded at least 1 steal.
