“I have done bad things. I can’t take them back, and they are part of who I am. Most of the time, they seem like the only thing I am.”
Full Name: Winnie Milage-Davidson
FC: Eliza Taylor
Gender & Pronouns: Cis Female, She/Her
Age: 25
Type: Resident
BIOGRAPHY:
TW: Eating Disorder
There was an ease to life before hyphenation for Winnie Milage. She was naturally the Popular Girl package. Well known and liked family. Tall, slender, and blonde. A knack for something that made it all the easier to make friends—for Winnie, it was fitting in. Her friends were on the soccer teams, the yearbook committee, the band, and everything in between. She never exactly had a clique or niche she fell into but that was fine because when everyone knew her, she had friends everywhere.
By senior year, there was even a joke about her. A nickname of sorts. A girl who managed to work her way into all corners of the school with a sparkling personality was called a Winnie. Winnie, herself, supposed it didn’t hurt to have a cute name. The reputation was more than solidified by the time her family fell apart. Her father left and moved cross-country and Winnie might have asked him to take her with him if the idea of having to be nobody wasn’t so daunting but staying meant she had a reputation to uphold. An image that felt like it was all she was.
To be Winnie Milage—to then be Winnie Milage-Davidson—was to be perfect. To live with ease. To slip into whatever space was left around her and fill it with a smile and a bit of a hair flip. She was only a sophomore when her life upended for the first time but ‘Winnies’ didn’t fall apart. They didn’t drag anyone around them down. They were upbeat, they bounced between conversations with ease. They were perfect.
Trying to be and live as a perfect caricature of a teenage girl was Winnie’s first mistake. She looks back on two in her life now—but that was the first. Her mother was remarried before the school year was even over and at first, holding it together was a routine with little shift. She can’t remember when it first started, but maybe with skipping breakfasts to avoid being in the house with the rest of the Happy Family. Then it was filling meal times with conversations and “improvements”. Winnie couldn’t fix the mess she saw as her new blended family, but she could always improve herself.
She spent time running with track friends. Finding excuses to not join the family for dinner. Studying, helping friends plan for their classes, cheering on her boyfriend of the week, or month, or semester at whatever game or practice he was at. Avoiding the fast food and junk food that came along with a life on the move was a no brainer for Winnie. Eventually it just became avoiding most food all together. It felt like a strength, a power, but just as often, a weakness and a defect.
Not being perceived as that perfect girl was a fear that struck Winnie deep in her chest and something that still does. She couldn’t understand how Reese managed to walk through life with such ease, accepting and loud about everything wrong going on around them. That was what Winnie saw was her second mistake. Taking out on Reese what she desperately craved. The ability to be one hundred percent truly herself and still have acceptance—and of course when that lack of acceptance rolled around, the strength to not let it destroy her.
Reese was perfect in her own way and Winnie couldn’t stand it, even up to the day that she disappeared. They weren’t friends. They were barely civil. Nothing would change that, not for years at least if Reese hadn’t disappeared. Reese probably could have stayed in school. Reese wouldn’t have flunked out from a stint in a rehab facility. Reese would have told people that she was having problems because that’s what she did. She wouldn’t have been so worried about being perfect that it wouldn’t have been a surprise if an ambulance had to come pick her up at school. Reese would have never gone that far.
It was always easier to put that anger on Reese than for Winnie to direct it towards herself. Once she was released from the rehab facility, Winnie pretended like nothing happened. She was still that Popular Girl that filled spaced with a smile and optimism and with a rotating door of boyfriends that made her look and feel good. Winnie explained to anyone that asked, that after a fainting spell from a cold, she just had one of those moments where she felt the wanderlust strike hold—life was too short after all—and spent the rest of the sophomore year traveling the country. Never mind that she didn’t have any pictures to prove it. A social media cleanse, she called it. Live in the moment, not the media.
When she came back, Winnie took up a position at Honey Bee Salon as a receptionist and has been there since, smiling and fitting people in. The thought of college was still on her mind until the courtesy year passed and her student loans kicked in, more bills she had to pay. More things that left her feeling stuck just as she was. Old habits itched at her peripheries and if she was a little more in-tune with herself, Winnie might have realized that what dampened it was the attention she paid to a new face in town. Christopher Ellis. Gorgeous and seductive. Most of all he was different that any other man who had managed to stumble his way into Winnie’s dead-end town and life. Short fantasies of where he came from and where he’d go and what he could do with her if she went along with him filled Winnie’s thoughts anytime she spotted him around town.
Silly thoughts, but ones Winnie let herself indulge in. Escaping this town by herself felt just like that. Silly thoughts. Fantasies. So what if she projected that onto someone that hadn’t even given her the time of day yet? So what if she decided to spend more time thinking about a stranger than her missing step-sister? Than thinking about how her best friend was barely talking to her anymore? Even then, Winnie was certain that she would manage to get Christopher to give her more than just the time of day. That there was something to be built there. Maybe an escape from this godforsaken town and the insurmountable pressure of being Winnie.
CHARACTER INFORMATION:
- Winnie the middle child of the Milage-Davidson family, the biggest and most well known family in town.
- This always made it easy for her to be incredibly popular in High School, between making friends and falling into relationships. But now those years are in the past, she’s having a hard time moving on from it.
- She never really got along with the Davidson side of the family, and blames them for her father moving across the country.
- Work’s at Honey Bee’s Hair Salon.
- While she wants to go back to college, she’d afraid she doesn’t have enough money or that she will flunk out a second time.
CONNECTIONS:
MARCUS DAVEY - The two of them dated the majority of High School, and while it was never going to work out they’ve stayed close friends. Marcus is the person she goes to with her problems, but things have been different since Reese’s crime scene was discovered. She’s been keeping more and more to herself, and every time he sees her he remembers being the one that found the scene, something he hasn’t told her yet.
REESE MILAGE-DAVIDSON - Reese and Winnie were the cause of most of the tension in the Milage-Davidson house. Winnie tried her best to fit in as much as possible, and Winnie tried her best to avoid it. She hated being related to the girl, and was scared that she would mess up the family name. Now that she’s the talk of the town, and Winnie’s matured some she isn’t sure how she feels and is keeping all her feelings about the girl bottled up. But all those emotions have been threatening to overflow, every time there’s an empty place at the dinner table, or they talk about the girl on the news.
TANNER MILAGE-DAVIDSON - Her baby brother, she knew he wasn’t cut out for the line of High School royalty that the girls of the family were, but she had still hoped. Winnie never knew what to truly make of Tanner. He was best friends with a step sister she couldn’t stand, and he was so tiny and awkward. The two were never terribly close, but he is her baby brother, and she would murder whoever hurt him in the blink of an eye.
CHRISTOPHER ELLIS - She sees him around town all the time, and knows nothing about him. But just by looks alone he tugs at her heartstrings. They’ve never had more communication than a “Hello” but Winnie just knows they are soulmates. Or at least great friends with benefits.

“When you die, you become perfect. I’d be like princess diana. Everyone loves her now.”
Full Name: Reese Milage-Davidson
FC: Hunter Schafer
Gender & Pronouns: Trans Female, She/Her
Age: 17
Type: Meddling Kid
BIOGRAPHY:
Reese was a strange girl, that’s what everyone says, they aren’t wrong though Reese Davidson was in fact rather strange. It isn’t meant to be an insult (at least not usually) because while she was a bit odd she was kind and always liked to make people laugh, it didn’t matter much to her if they were laughing at her rather than with her because that’s just the kind of girl she was. She was stubborn beyond belief and when she wanted something there wasn’t much that could stop her. Whenever she came up with a ridiculous idea or thing to do she always was able to rope people into joining simply because she wouldn’t let them say no. She was always doing things other people would never think of doing, she had strange traditions that no one could get her to stop doing and she had many quirks.
When people think back on her they remember her strange games she’d play, her favourite being “Remember when…” which were tales she spun together of the most ridiculous things that obviously never happened and then would always get offended when people didn’t play along and hold a grudge on them till next time, provided that they learned to just go along with her antics. It was her playful spirit that helped with particularly hard cases where they’d come feeling exhausted and disappointed if they hadn’t made any progress but they’d get back and Reese would find something to bring their spirits up but with her death those nights have become increasingly more difficult.
No one knows what happened that fateful night she went missing, in fact no one really knew she was missing in the first place expect Vincent – because everyone was used to her leaving for hours on end but not Vincent as they never went anywhere without the other or them knowing where they were as they were always in constant communication but that night their communication line was dead silent; tons of texts unread. The next Marcus stumbled across the horrific sight. A car abandoned on the side of the road, doors left stranded open. A smashed window, shattered glass. And drops of blood left behind.
Now the whole town is left wondering- What happened to Reese Milage-Davidson?
CONNECTIONS:
VINCENT PORTER - In theory their friendship shouldn’t have worked but it did. Really though, Vincent had no choice in the matter because little 6 year old Reese grabbed him by the arm and dragged him to the playground telling him they were going to be best friends. And they were. It was a friendship that worked really well because Reese was stubborn and never, ever, took no for an answer and Vincent could groan all he wanted but he too would always give into her. From that first day they were inseparable.
MAXWELL “MAX” GODDARD - Reese always liked Max despite her catchphrase to him which was always ‘You, Sir, are being a colossal jerk’ but it was never said without a large smile that showed her fondness for him. She was aware that some people thought of him as being a jerk, and he could be, but it never made her dislike him. She always was good at judging people’s character and knew that he was a nice guy deep down.
TANNER MILAGE-DAVIDSON - When their two families became one Reese welcomed it with open arms, however, she always liked Tanner the most out of her new siblings and it was obvious. She liked how he never made her feel less just because she didn’t take life too seriously and enjoyed making him laugh.
WINNIE MILAGE-DAVIDSON - At the start Reese would always try to get the girl to like her for the sake of their family but no matter how hard she tried it never worked. In the end she gave up trying and didn’t bother to ease the tension that would arise due to the two girls.

“I am every mistake I’ve ever made. I am every person I’ve ever hurt. I am every word I’ve ever said. I am made of flaws.”
Full Name: Asher Murdock
FC Suggestions: Alex Fitzalan, Jamie Campbell Bower, Jeremy Allen White
Gender & Pronouns: Cis Male, He/Him
Age: 23-27
Type: Resident
BIOGRAPHY:
UP TO PLAYER
CHARACTER INFORMATION:
- In small towns, people like to gossip when they think the person isn’t listening. This is particularly true about Asher Murdock’s troubled past.
- Straight out of high school he had left town hoping to make something out of himself that was more than Coolsville, to be better than he was here. On the way he his a few bumps in the road, and lost the wheels to his wagon.
- He ended up with the wrong crowd, making all the wrong choices, and ended up in prison for a few years.
- Once he was released he returned to Coolsville.
- No one knows, yet, but he had seen Reese the night before she went missing, and he’s been keeping that fact to himself.
CONNECTIONS:
MARCUS DAVEY - Before Asher left town Marcus and him were really close, best friends really, and they promised to keep in touch when Asher left but as all of those stories go they drifted apart. Now that he’s back they’re friendly whenever they bump into each other but it’s not the same.
SYDNEY YORK* - They live in the same apartment building and he doesn’t trust her one bit. He knows why she’s in town and that she’s digging for answers about the Reese Davidson case and he’s worried that she might stumble on information that may make him seem guilty even though he’s not.
WINNIE MILAGE-DAVIDSON - Due to the fact that Marcus dated Winnie throughout high school, by extension her and Asher were fairly good friends. In fact upon his return he’s seen her the most and they’ve re-established their friendship right where they left off.

“The worst thing is that they aren’t even nightmares, they’re memories.”
Full Name: Todd Holchan
FC Suggestions: Lucien Laviscount, Alfie Enoch, Rome Flynn
Gender & Pronouns: Cis Male, He/Him
Age: 20-25
Type: Supernatural, Werewolf
BIOGRAPHY:
UP TO PLAYER
CHARACTER INFORMATION:
- He is on the run, and only stopped in Coolsville because he has a friend from high school to stay with here.
- Todd is accused of murdering someone in a previous town, and he doesn’t remember the night because he was a wolf. He occasionally has flashbacks of the night but nothing is clear.
- Works as a Mechanic.
- He is still coming to terms with being a werewolf, and the idea of him hurting someone truly haunts him.
CONNECTIONS:
WINNIE DAVIDSON-MILAGE - All throughout high school, Todd had the biggest crush on Winnie. She never bothered with underclassmen, and he was always too shy to say anything. But now that he’s back, he’s not sure he’s still hopelessly in love with her still, but he does get flustered whenever they talk.
MARCUS DAVEY - There was kind of a big age gap between them in high school, but despite it, they were close. Todd was bullied in High School, and Marcus had just enough popularity to spare the boy. They had fallen out of touch until Todd just appeared on his doorstep looking lost, and scared.
MAKAYLA AGATON* - The two work together, and it’s tense to say the least. Both are people overflowing with secrets, so there isn’t much talking at the shop. They’ve slowly been becoming friendlier and friendlier but they’re a long way from being actual friends.

“You’re incapable of loving, only fear excites you.”
Full Name: Christopher Ellis
FC: Jordan Connor
Gender & Pronouns: Cis Male, He/Him
Age: 72 (appears 28)
Type: Supernatural, Incubus
BIOGRAPHY:
Being a young boy is confusing enough but when Christopher began to show signs of being completely different he was confused and wanting more. He’d sit in class and if he was failing all he had to do was look at the smartest girl in the room and she was handing him the answers to her test with no protest; only looking at his with full a desire for the boy and even after he’d get what he wanted she would offer everything he wanted. Being a good looking boy no one thought of it as nothing but high school crushes but it was so much more.
Then the hunger came. It was at 18 that Christopher found himself stalking the streets at night with aches and pains and nothing was satisfying him but when he would walk by a girl, smell her perfume or hear her giggles, he’d feel a pull and one night he couldn’t control himself and something in his switched from an uncontrollable itch and turned into this beast beneath a human mask. He attacked with a sexual desire.
She was a sweet girl; a neighbor that he grew up with and she never saw him coming. He had found her walking home when all of a sudden his charms began to play and she instantly gave into him. He had sucked her energy dry but he never felt so good a day in his life except for the fear of what he’d done. At first he tried to hide it but news travels fast and soon the whole town as looking for a creep walking the streets. Then Christopher’s father came to him, knowing the day had come he had to tell his son about the secret he’d been hiding from his son for 18 years. Christopher was an incubus. A demon of sexual desire and little control.
Christopher was livid. He could have been able to control himself if he knew what he was. But he had no idea and now an innocent girl was dead and Christopher was starving. He had to leave and so he ran off never speaking to his father again.
It took years for his to get the thinnest grasp of control, even longer to find people who could help him understand what he really was. In 70 years the boy has barely aged which meant he never stayed in one place for long and he never returned to a place he’d been. But then he got word of his father’s death in Coolsville and as little as he wanted to go back he also hears the town is crawling with creatures and witches… a few in particular that can cure him of his curse that made him a hungry and soulless creature. He had witness true love for many years and just once he wants to believe that he can have that and not know that everyone just loves him because they are under his uncontrollable spell.
He showed up in town posing as his father’s great grandson coming to show his condolences. He is lucky mostly every person he knew before are either dead or far too old to ever remember his face though.
CHARACTER INFORMATION:
- He was born in Coolsville to a single father, and never knew his mother.
- Ran away at 18, after learning the truth about what he really is.
- Lived all across the country using victims, he felt bad at first, but by now has lost his sense of humanity.
- Has returned home because of his father’s death.
CONNECTIONS:
WINNIE MILAGE-DAVIDSON - The girl, obviously has a crush on him, a blind man could see that. He pities her for several reasons, and because of that, tries to avoid her, not wanting to drain the poor girl. But he’s getting more and more desperate to keep his strength and she’s getting more and more confident.
ABIGAIL BOUDREAU - He is well aware the girl is a witch, and despite being incredibly annoyed by her, he needs her. There is a possibility she could cure him, or at least help him in some way. So, once a week he goes to Rosie’s and tries to talk the girl up, and even flirts when necessary.
EVAN CARTERS* - Evan is the biggest pain in Christopher’s back. He grew up in the house right next door to where Christopher lived all his life before running away. Now that he’s back 40 some years later, and is obviously the same man in all the pictures, Evan doesn’t trust him. Something is not right about Christopher and he wants to know what.
WILLIAM BACKUS* - Christopher isn’t sure why he’s so interested in the man who always had such a stern look across his face. Perhaps it was the fact that he never asked about his life, he never had personal questions, and he didn’t seem to want just the one thing with him. So it’s easy enough to talk with him, if their interactions could be counted as conversations.

“I was born lost and take no pleasure in being found.”
Full Name: Tanner Milage-Davidson
FC Suggestions: Callan McAuliffe, Mitchell Hope, Tarjei Sandvik Moe
Gender & Pronouns: Cis Male, He/Him
Age: 15-17
Type: Resident
BIOGRAPHY:
UP TO PLAYER
CHARACTER INFORMATION:
- Part of the Milage-Davidson family, the biggest most well known family in town. Tanner is the youngest and only boy of the bunch.
- He has been doing everything he’s able to in order to become a part of Mystery Inc, in order to help help solve his step-sister’s disappearance. So far he’s not managed to convince them to let him in, but he doesn’t think he’s not able to find the evidence on his own. He needs them.
- He is the head photographer for the school paper.
- Never really felt like he got along with his biological family.
CONNECTIONS:
VIRGINIA SOL - It is no secret, Tanner has had a crush on Virginia since the playground days. He denies it to the heavens and back, but under everything, he is in love with Virginia Sol. He know’s it’s stupid and she would never like him back, but that hasn’t stopped him yet.
REESE MILAGE-DAVIDSON - It is no secret that the Davidson’s and the Millage’s never fully got along when their parents married, but that wasn’t the case for Tanner. His step-sister was incredibly strange, but he didn’t react to in the same way Winnie did. He thought it was funny and endearing. Now that she’s dead his family seems to be slowly falling apart, and he feels like it’s his duty to put them back together.
WINNIE MILAGE-DAVIDSON - In her own weird way, Winnie always tried to make him feel included in his own family. It just never worked. Tanner and her were too different, and then he always preferred Reese, which really got under her skin. The two love each other, sure, but they aren’t close.
OLIVIA “LIBBY” MAUDE - There is a mutual understanding between the two. They are both in some way or another, the baby of a group. They’ve been friends since before Olivia started going to public school, and they trust Tanner more than anyone else. Secretly, they’ve been telling him everything the Meddling Kids find out about his step sisters case.

WINNIE MILLAGE - DAVIDSON,
C O O L S V I L L E, R E S I D E N T.
Reese and Winnie were the cause of most of the tension in the Milage-Davidson house. Winnie tried her best to fit in as much as possible, and Winnie tried her best to avoid it. She hated being related to the girl, and was scared that she would mess up the family name. Now that she’s dead, and Winnie’s matured some she isn’t sure how she feels and is keeping all her feelings about the girl bottled up. But all those emotions have been threatening to overflow, every time there’s an empty place at the dinner table, or they talk about the girl on the news.
