And give us controllers with the original game cube controller button layout.

Please. I am not asking for much. I just want to play Zelda Wind Waker and Star Fox Adventure on my Switch.

Wind Waker (+/- 35 hours)

Pros: It is Zelda and I have been curious about this game ever since I got into Zelda. It also is way shorter than its competition and has a clear cut ending. I also adore the toon Link look and it feels fitting to play now, now with Echoes of Wisdom coming soon.

Cons: I have a """copy""" of the GC/Wii version, which definitely misses some quality of life updates. Also, classical Zeldas aren't my favourite genre. It's also on the Wii, and my nostalgia had definitely blinded me for the Wii's shortcomings.

Sandrock (+/- 100 hours)

Pros: I have been wanting to play this game since its release. I loved the previous installment in the My Time series and the announcement of a new one got me excited all over again. The story of My Time at Portia took me on a wild ride, so I am excited to know more about this one. It's also on Switch, so portability galore!

Cons: It is long. Very long. Of course, farming sims (and similar) are known for being long since you can take your time, but the story of My Time at Portia was genuinely long and I won't be surprised if the same goes for Sandrock. Its length is commendable, but also daunting and the main reason I haven't started it yet, since it felt like I never had the time to sink a good 100+ hours in a game with a potential open ending.

THE WIND WAKER AHHHHHHHH I love this game SO much, ranked right below OOT and MM for my all time favorites.

One of my biggest critiques of the game is that I wish Aonuma was given the proper time to develop the game since you can tell that there should be more but a lot was cut out for time constraints. Still an incredible game but what I would give to have a full scale sequel or the full scope of the original game T^T!!!

I love this game so much holy shit. What a perfect sequel to the Hero of Time story, what a great continuation of Ganondorf's motive. I definitely wish there was more, esp dungeons and zora and towns, but this game was made pretty quick after MM and on the GC so I know there are limitations. Everything from Link, Tetra, the sound effects, the stylization, the Rito, the Koroks, Ganondorf, oh my god I absolutely adore it. Everything about it is so unique yet having the core Zelda elements within it. I also noticed how many future games took a lot of inspiration from this game, esp TP and TOTK. I also love how involved Tetra/Zelda is to the plot, Link could not have succeeded without her help, esp in the final battle and when saving Aryll. This game gives so much personality and background to Link and Tetra, every single cutscene is such a delight. This would be a super replayable game if my GC wasn't so wonky. Hopefully it'll come back to the switch. I love this game :')

How do you get trans girl link

So whatcher gonna do is start with a base Wind Waker GC rom

then you're gonna wanna download a program called BetterWW (this will be how you replace your model)

after you get both of those, get the mod from its page, place the mod files in the models folder of BetterWW (make sure to place all the files in their own folder) and then you should be able to swap the models in BetterWW!

Now for the she/her pronouns mod you'll need to get a program called GamecubeFileTools, along with the Dialogue Patch

use GamecubeFileTools to replace the dialogue files in the base rom with the new feminine pronouns mod!

If you do it all correctly, the logo for Wind Waker ingame should be a gold color instead of red, hope this helps!

Hello and sorry for being late again. Here's round 12, we have 5 games left! I've been busy with uni stuff :"D Skyward Sword lost to botw and Majora, I could see how this was going since round 10, but honestly I'm really sad it went like this. SkSw is my favorite after all, followed by Majora, and I think Majora or botw are going to lose this round :( There's still wind waker I'd like to yeet, I played the gc version and left out of boredom tbh.

A little off topic: I and a group of friends are making a video game for an exam! It isn't related to Zelda but it's an action-adventure. I'd love to get some feedback on the idea, and I made a survey. It's anonymous so you won't be tracked in any way! I mostly need people from 12 to 18 years old but really anyone is fine. When we have a demo, we'll most likely share it to get more feedback. I'd be really glad if you take a moment to take the survey! Thanks in advance :D

So, about SkSw! I really feel like people need to play it, and with motion controls if they can (mostly because I played it on the wii). With the motion controls I felt like I was really in control of Link's actions, movements, and story, it felt way more "real" and personal than any other game. The music is the best imo, you can really hear the orchestra! Also Zelda isn't a princess but a knight academy student, she can fight! And we have character development with Groose and an unlikely enemy that's Ghirahim. Yes you go to the same area more times but each time it's a different zone. In OoT you visit each area 2 times, and nothing has changed in appearance. Also SkSw is one of the few games in which Zelink can be considered "canon", the others being Spirit Tracks, TotK, Hyrule Warriors.

would you recommend playing wind waker? is it fun/worth it?

Uuuhhhhhh give it a shot, see for urself. U will know if u like it pretty quick. I liked the characters, story, music, and the style, but the travelling over the sea and squinting at the identical looking islands put me in snooze mode and made me frustrated, I usually played those sections while watching something. I did play the gc version which is more tedious. I don’t know if it’s gonna be fun or worth it for u personally

I’ve been trying to get my grubby hands on a copy of Wind Waker for….a very long time. It’s been difficult to find in the formats I can play (GC and Wii) for under $75, and those were the cheap copies.

I thought I had one in October, and it turned out to be a scam. The seller had great ratings and then vanished off the face of the earth, game never arrived and I got refunded. I decided to start another play of Skyward Sword that I’m like 75% finished on at that point.

Then I went looking again and found a GC copy that supposedly works and looked in decent condition. Seller again has a good rep. It was under $75. And it just arrived.

I probably can’t fire this up today, beyond making sure it works, but this is the next adventure.
