Chiara Mazzochetti’s life has been anything but ordinary. Born and raised in Wilmington, a town now haunted by its tragic past, she grew up in a family that was the epitome of dysfunction. Her parents, both immigrants from Italy, struggled to make ends meet and often took out their frustrations on their children. Chiara, the youngest of three, bore the brunt of their anger and neglect.
Despite her harsh upbringing, Chiara found solace in dance. From a young age, she was captivated by the grace and freedom it offered. She would spend hours mimicking the moves she saw on TV, dreaming of one day escaping her grim reality. Her passion for dance became her refuge, a place where she could forget her troubles and imagine a brighter future.
Her school recognized her talent, and she was offered dance classes as part of an after-school program. Determined to develop her skills, she took on various jobs to afford additional dance lessons. By her late teens, she was performing in local talent shows and small events, earning praise for her natural talent and dedication.
As she entered adulthood, Wilmington's dark history cast a long shadow over her life. The town, once a thriving vacation spot, had never fully recovered from the scandal that had plagued it decades earlier. Despite the rumors and gossip that still circulated, Chiara had little time for such distractions. She was focused on survival.
Life took a much darker turn when Chiara’s brother got involved in illegal activities, owing a significant debt to dangerous people. To help him out, Chiara reluctantly accepted a job as a dancer at Bare Necessities, to make fast cash. In the long haul, she became well requested there and the club provided her with a steady income. While the job was far from glamorous, it felt hard to get out of.
To those who knew her well, Chiara was much more than a dancer. She occasionally modeled for local photographers and traveled to nearby cities for gigs, showcasing her versatility and ambition. Her performances, whether on stage or in front of a camera, were a show of resilience and determination. Life was shit, but she never really gave up.
As best as she can, Chiara keeps her job at Bare Necessities a closely guarded. She fears the judgment and rejection that might come from those who only see the surface of her life. Her secret weights heavily on her and the family.
Chiara is easygoing and artistic in her daily life, often found sketching, tanning at the beach or photographing something. She is flirty and enjoys socializing, although she tends to drink a lot, finding it helps her cope with the stresses of her life. At work, she adopts a different persona—sexier, darker, and intense. In the face of uncertainty, Chiara remains determined to carve out a better future for herself.

Babies 6-11 Month Portraits
Babies 6-11 Month Portraits
Portrait Series, Babies, 6-11 Months – Wilmington, Delaware As a mom of 3, I know just how fast time can fly when your kiddos are little. One minute they’re teeny tiny newborns snuggled in your arms and the next you have to babyproof the house because they’re toddling all over, opening every door and cabinet they can get to. It just goes by so fast!  That’s probably why babies aged 6-11 months…

Joshua Jackson interview with "Mr Porter" (2021)
Tumblr media
Minutes before Mr Joshua Jackson joins me in a booth for a Friday afternoon drink at a vibey hotel bar in Santa Monica, he’s confronted by his past. Or rather, a woman in her early twenties who is binge-watching Dawson’s Creek, the teen show about a close-knit group of high-school friends coming of age in a sleepy American town, which made Jackson incredibly famous between 1998 and 2003. The series, which also made household names of Ms Michelle Williams and Ms Katie Holmes, went off air 18 years ago, but is now streaming on Netflix, to the bemusement of Jackson, who played lovable rogue Pacey Witter. “This girl was like, ‘Are you...?’ And I’m like, ‘Yes, I am. He got old. I’m sorry to break it to you,’” he says, before ordering an iced tea and a charcuterie board to tide him over until dinner time. “It always surprises me when young people say they’ve just got into Dawson’s Creek. I’m like, ‘Is it a costume drama to you? Do you feel like you’re watching a historical documentary?’”
The idea of a Friends-style reunion episode or a Sex And The City revival feels equally far-fetched to Canadian-born Jackson, now 43 and wearing it well in a pale green linen shirt and tailored linen trousers by Oliver Spencer that complement his fading brown hair and Cali-tanned skin.
“I don’t know why you’d want to [bring it back],” he says. “Nobody needs to know what those characters are doing in middle age. We left them in a nice place. Nobody needs to see that Pacey’s back hurts. I don’t think we need that update.”
And Jackson doesn’t need Dawson’s Creek. From Mr JJ Abrams’ sci-fi series Fringe (2008-2013) to the Golden Globe award-winning The Affair (2014-2019), from Ms Ava DuVernay’s ground-breaking true-crime drama When They See Us (2019) to the recent Ms Reese Witherspoon and Ms Kerry Washington-produced Little Fires Everywhere (2020), he has commanded the small screen – with a collection of dynamic and diverse work – ever since.
His latest role as Mr Christopher Duntsch, the Texas surgeon convicted of gross malpractice when 33 of his patients were left seriously injured after he operated on them and two of them died, in chilling Peacock crime drama Dr Death, is only stepping his career up another gear.
“I’ve never played anyone irredeemable before,” says Jackson, who is joined in the eight-part series (based on the 2018 Wondery podcast of the same name) by Messrs Christian Slater and Alec Baldwin. “He is charming, gregarious and has a high-level intellect, but he’s also a misogynist, probably a sociopath, certainly a narcissist and a complete incompetent who is incapable of seeing himself.”
If Duntsch is terrifying, then Jackson’s portrayal is even more so. The artist formerly known as Pacey is virtually unrecognisable (thanks to prosthetics) in the opening scene, but the real challenge for Jackson was allowing himself to view someone who is so “spectacularly evil” as a human being in order to walk in his shoes. “It’s a more damning portrayal of the man to make him into a human being, rather than just make him the bad guy,” he says. “He really believes he’s the hero, he’s the genius and that he’s the victim, so once I got past my own judgment, all the other things fell into place.”
Jackson might have his pick of stellar roles – and challenges – now, but it has not happened by accident. Take it from someone who has been in the business since landing his first job aged 14 in Disney’s live-action movie series The Mighty Ducks, opposite Brat Pack alumnus Mr Emilio Estevez.
“You try to make it look like it happens accidentally,” he says, “but there is no way to do this and not be ambitious. I’d say I’m extremely ambitious because I’ve been doing this cutthroat job for nearly 30 years. I’m in the pay-off phase of my career now. One of the benefits of surviving for as long as I have is you get to learn from your own mistakes.”
Such as? “I wouldn’t say, ‘I wish I hadn’t done that,’ because it all becomes bricks in a path, but [after Dawson’s Creek] I was not choosy enough about the things I was doing. You get stuck. You start trying to perform the performance you think people are hoping to see you do. I was so used to working all the time that I just worked all the time. There was definitely a conscious moment in my mid-twenties when I realised I wasn’t really enjoying the work that I was doing. My manager at the time just said, ‘Take a breath. You’re burnt out.’”
The turning point came in 2005, when Jackson was offered a role in the two-hander Mr David Mamet play A Life In The Theatre, opposite Sir Patrick Stewart. “God bless him, Patrick could have made my life miserable because I had no idea what I was doing, ” he says. “I hadn’t been on stage since I was a kid and now I was in the West End in over my head. But it reminded me that I actually enjoyed being an actor, that it’s not about the red carpet or travelling around the world. What I really enjoy is working on good material with good people.”
It’s no surprise Jackson’s time on Dawson’s Creek led to a career crisis. From the ages of 19 to 24, he lived with his fellow cast mates in Wilmington, North Carolina, filming day in, day out, in an arrangement he likens to college. “You get to the end and they’re like, ‘Here’s your degree. Go live now. You’re an adult. Go out into the world,’” he says.
But most graduates don’t have to deal with global fame. “It’s transitory. You’re only ever cool for a moment and then you become much less cool. I was always pretty dubious about flatterers,” he says, recalling a time he was stung in London in the mid-2000s. “I went on a date in Hyde Park with a woman whose name I will not use – she was socialite-famous – and she was acting completely bizarre, looking over her shoulder the whole time. I came to find out that she had hired a photographer to follow us through the park and gave a whole story to the tabloids about how I was going to meet her family.”
It was his growing fortune, rather than fame, that caused Jackson the most anxiety. “Suddenly, at 19 years old, I was making more in a week than most of my friends’ parents would make in a year,” he says. “It was lovely to have the money, but it was that feeling of nobody is worth that kind of money. You feel like a fraud and it took me a long time to forgive myself for not being the thing that I was perceived as.”
Born in Vancouver, but raised in Topanga, California, until he was eight (before moving back to Vancouver following his parents’ divorce), Jackson bought his childhood home in 2001 and lives in it today with his wife, British Queen & Slim actor Ms Jodie Turner-Smith, and their 15-month-old daughter.
“My father unfortunately was not a good father or a husband and exited the scene, but that house in Topanga was where everything felt simple, so it was a very healing thing for me to do,” he says. Fast-forward to 2021 and his baby daughter now sleeps in her father’s childhood bedroom. “There was a mural of a dragon on the wall in that room that I couldn’t believe was still there, years later. The owner [who sold him the house] said, ‘I knew it meant a lot to somebody and that they were going to come back for it some day.’”
Becoming a first-time parent during a pandemic sounds stressful, but it afforded Jackson months at home with his wife and child that his normal work schedule wouldn’t have allowed.
“I now recognise how perverse the way that we have set up our society is,” he says. “There is not a father I know who works a regular job who didn’t go back to the office a week later. It’s robbing that man of the opportunity to bond with his child and spend time with his partner.”
Despite his obvious career ambitions, fatherhood has changed Jackson’s priorities in “every possible way”, he says. “It’s 100 per cent changed how I approach my work and my life. That has been made so clear to me in this past year. For me to feel good about what I’m doing day to day, my family has to be the central focus.
“There are plenty of things left for me to do, but now the thing that gets me excited is experiencing the world through my daughter’s eyes. I can’t wait to take her scuba diving. I can’t wait to take her skiing. I can’t wait to read a great book with her. I’m not worried at all she’ll be a wallflower. She’s been a character from the word go.”
Jackson met Turner-Smith, 34, two days after his 40th birthday. He had been single since his 10-year relationship with German actress Ms Diane Kruger ended in 2016. “I was not looking to fall in love again or meet the mother of my child, but life has other plans for you,” he says.
The couple met at a party. Turner-Smith was wearing the same The Future Is Female Ejaculation T-shirt Ms Tessa Thompson’s character, Detroit, wears in the 2018 film Sorry To Bother You. “That’s what I used to break the ice. I shouted, ‘Detroit!’ across the room. Not the smoothest thing I’ve ever done, but it worked. We were pretty much inseparable from the word go. It was a whirlwind romance and I can tell my daughter I literally saw her mother across a room and thought, ‘I have to be next to this woman.’”
A self-confessed “useless” shopper, Jackson gives his wife full credit for his current wardrobe. He is jewellery-free, apart from a wedding band and a gold signet “JJ” ring on his little finger (a present from his wife), and discovered tailored sweatsuits (by Stampd and Reigning Champ) in the pandemic.
“Jodie has influence in the way that a wonderful wife encourages you, through love, to dress well. She was like, ‘We’re going to throw away all the sweatpants from your past and I’m going to get you some that actually make you look like an adult male and you will still feel comfortable around the house,’ and I’m like, ‘What an amazing idea!’ Who knew you could get sweatsuits that actually look good on your body?”
Jackson’s style has evolved, he says, “from slovenly teen to it’s-nice-when-your-clothes-actually-fit-you”. The penny dropped after he auditioned for his former co-star Estevez, who was directing the 2006 Mr Robert Kennedy biopic Bobby. He said to me, ‘You only got this job because I know you. You came in here to play a very well-put together 1960s political operative and you’re wearing jeans and a hoodie.’
“I had to grow up a little bit. We are very much raised in Canada to never, ever show off, so it took me a while to recognise it’s OK to look good when you go out.”
Still, when you’ve grown up in front of the camera, “every pimple literally documented”, and lived (very successfully) to tell the tale, you can probably be forgiven for the odd fashion faux pas.
“I wore a silk Ascot to an event once in Paris and I still have nightmares about it,” he says. “I looked like Fred from Scooby Doo, but you live and learn.”

On November 17th back in 1983 the Ramirez family was completed. Amanda nad Joseph Ramirez had welcomed their third and final child into this World at 6:30 in the morning, with two older siblings named Joseph and Viviane impatiently waiting for their new sibling. Another beautiful baby girl was born and everyone wasn’t surprised one bit. They decided to name her Izabella Taylor Ramirez, and that was a name you were going to want to remember. The moment she opened up those beautiful brown eyes and starred up at her mother and father, they were hooked and in love and knew that she was going to be something special. They knew that somehow she was going to change the World a little bit and impact a lot of people.
Izabella’s childhood was pretty much perfect. She had two older siblings whom she loved, parents who were her best friends and a dog that she took care of. Living right smack on the the beach in Wilmington, North Carolina it helped that the girl was a fan of salty air and sea hair. She would spend hours when she wasn’t in school in the ocean, swimming until the sun went down. Her parents had taught her however that education was the most important thing, and even though Izabella was labeled as the Wallflower early on throughout her school years, she studied hard and always got straight A’s. She made a good group of friends and never really felt alone while growing up. Izabella was really overall a happy kid. Aside from surfing, her hobbies included volleyball as she was placed on the varsity volleyball team in high school, she was also a fan of reading and writing. Even if Izabella was considered as a wallflower, the girl was a big part of her school and wrote for her schools newspaper and was on the yearbook committee. It probably wasn’t the best clubs to be apart of, but Izzy didn’t care. In her Junior year of high school when you’re supposed to know what you want to do in life, Izzy figured out she really loved writing. Being editor in chief for her high school newspaper really helped with finding that passion. Getting along with her older siblings, it did help that they were supportive when she had told them she wanted to get into photography and create a blog. On her free days when she wasn’t so busy, that’s what the brunette was doing, she was blogging and becoming obsessed with the World within it.
She soon got into fashion, and watched her blog soar with the content she was posting. When Izabella graduated from high school with honor roll and other achievements, she decided to move out of her small town of Wilmington to New York City. She got accepted into FIT, and majored in Fashion Design, and minored in Film and Media. In college, Izzy pretty much kept to herself but again made a good group of friends and kept to her studies. She didn’t party much, but whenever she did people around Campus knew who she was due to her blog.
Never really getting used to the popularity, Izabella realized she was more than just a blogger. She was a content creator, and had decided during her Senior year of college that she wanted to take this job seriously. After researching more about the job she’s found a passion for, Izabella’s followers grew and grew and grew. She would have never expected it to grow this much. Though Izzy was proud of it. Her blog and YouTube channel was a huge success.
When graduating from FIT again with honor roll and those other achievements, Izabella realized she still loved photography. During the time she’d come home, she decided to take it up upon herself to find a job that included photography. It was the summer time throughout her teenage years, where worked at her local Aquarium. Taking up the job again, this time she became a photographer for them. However, after a few years of living back home, Izabella figured it was time to move again but this time she moved to some place she’s never been before to get a fresh start, Atlanta, Georgia. Georgia was somewhere she always saw herself settling down in.
It was a new city, with a new home and new people. She was twenty-five at the time, twenty-five and trying to figure out the rest of her life. Trying to figure out other little side gigs she could take on. Izabella was always a busy bee, she liked that about herself. She liked the hustle. Atlanta was good for that kind of mindset. Still going strong with her blog and youtube channel, it wasn’t until she met the love of her life and that’s when everything changed. At twenty-eight, being successful and loving Atlanta, she was set up on a blind date by her best friend who also happened to be her assistant. Izabella wasn’t looking for love. She never even dated. Sure, she’s dated while she was in high school and college here and there but nothing serious. Though meeting Nicholas Sanchez had changed her life. He was tall, dark and handsome, just her type and Izabella fell in love with him. She fell in love with him the moment she met him. The two dated for a few years, and at thirty-three they got married. It was late in the game but they didn’t care. At thirty-four, they started trying for a baby, but the two were having trouble. Finally after a couple of failed attempts at IVF, they welcomed their miracle baby at thirty-six and named her Violet Grace Sanchez. Things were perfect for them. Izabella, Nicholas and Violet were perfect, happy and healthy. That wasn’t until at nine months that things took a turn. At nine months old, that was when Violet was diagnosed with Leukemia and the doctors had told Nicholas and Izabella that she only had a little bit left to live.
It had devastated & destroyed them. The news about Violet, their miracle baby had devastated Nicholas and Izabella and the two were on thin ice with one another. They fought about it constantly. As time went on when Violet got sick, she just got worse and worse. The doctors tried everything, but unfortunately just right after her first birthday, Violet had sadly passed away. It destroyed Izabella. The loss of her baby girl had destroyed everything in her. It ruined her marriage to the love of her life, Nicholas and the two had decided to separate. They weren’t divorced. They separated. It was time that the two needed. Time apart to figure things out. They were both lost without their daughter. Their beautiful baby girl.
Izabella always loved to travel and always dreamed about starting over in another town, and that’s exactly what she did. Still being a content creator, and now a freelance photographer, it has been a couple of years since Violet’s passing and Izabella made the decision to move to a different Country. Living in Vancouver, Canada for two years now, she’s been working at another Aquarium and continues with her blog. She continued with her Youtube Channel and is active on instagram and twitter, she has gained a lot more followers and is still passionate about what she does.

Hayden’s childhood was pretty much perfect. She had two older siblings whom she loved, parents who were her best friends and a dog that she took care of. Living right smack on the the beach in Wilmington, North Carolina it helped that the girl was a fan of salty air and sea hair. Hayden would spend hours when she wasn’t in school in the ocean, swimming until the sun went down. Her parents had taught her however that education was the most important thing, and even though Hayden was labeled as the Wallflower early on throughout her school years, she studied hard and always got straight A’s. She made a good group of friends and never really felt alone while growing up. Hayden was really a happy kid. Aside from surfing, her hobbies included volleyball as she was placed on the junior varsity volleyball team in highschool, she was also a fan of reading and writing. Even if Hayden was considered as a wallflower, the girl was a big part of her school and wrote for her schools newspaper and was on the Yearbook committee. It probably wasn’t the best clubs to be apart of, but Hayden didn’t care. In her Junior year of high school when you’re supposed to know what you want to do in life, Hayden figured out she really loved writing. Being editor in chief for her high school newspaper really helped with finding that passion. Getting along with her siblings, it helped that they were supportive when Hayden had told them she wanted to get into photography and create a blog. On her free days when she wasn’t so busy, that’s what the brunette was doing, was blogging and becoming obsessed with the World within it.
She soon got into fashion, and watched her blog soar with the content she was posting. When Hayden graduated from high school with honor roll and other achievements, Hayden decided to move out of her small town of Wilmington to New York City. She got accepted into FIT, and majored in Fashion Design, and minored in Film and Media. In college, Hayden pretty much kept to herself but again made a good group of friends. She didn’t party much, but whenever she did people around Campus knew who she was due to her blog. Never really getting used to the popularity, Hayden realized she was more than just a blogger. She was a content creator, and had decided during her Senior year of college that she wanted to take this job seriously. After researching more about the job she’s found a passion for, Hayden’s followers grew and grew.
When graduating from FIT again with honor roll and other achievements, once again always being good about school, Hayden realized she still loved photography. During the time she’d come home, Hayden decided to take it up upon herself to find a job that included photography. During the summer time throughout her teenage years, she worked at her local Aquarium. Taking up the job again, this time she became a photographer for them. However, after a few years of living back home, Hayden figured it was time to move again but this time she moved to some place she’s never been before to get a fresh start, which was Somerton, Maine. Hayden always loved to travel and always dreamed about starting over in another tiny town, and that’s what she did. Still being a content creator, and now a freelance photographer, Hayden couldn’t of been happier with the decision she has made. Living in Somerton for two years, she’s been working at another Aquarium and continues with her blog. She now has a Youtube Channel and is active on instagram and twitter, she has gained a ton of followers and is still passionate about what she does.

Hope in Change - Part Five
Part One, Part Two, Part Three, Part Four
No one in Fergus and Marsali’s house slept well that night, first waiting anxiously for his return and whatever news he might bring of Murtagh and the Regulators. They knew the governor’s plan had been foiled but that only made Fergus’ prolonged absence more nerve wracking.
Of course, the news he burst through the door with was more shocking than anything they could have anticipated.
Brianna was in Wilmington. In 1769. She had been looking for them, seeking a guide to take her to the Ridge when she happened upon Murtagh.
Marsali was the one to tell Fergus to sit, keep his voice down so as not to wake the baby, and to start again from the beginning. As he went through his evening chronologically, Claire slid her hand into Jamie’s. His fingers trembled. Hers were cold.
When there was nothing left to do but go to bed and wait for the morning to come, Claire rose, gently rousing Jamie from his silent shock, and easing him to their room.
“Are you alright?” she asked quietly, having shut the door behind them. He looked dazed, sitting on the edge of the bed and blinking at his surroundings as if unclear how or when he’d gotten there.
“I… dinna ken. She… I hadna thought… Why? Why should she be here? What could have caused her to come through the stones?”
Claire stood in front of him and bent at the waist to press a kiss to his forehead, drawing his eyes up to look into her own. “You don’t think having a chance to meet you had anything to do with it?”
“I’m no worth the risk of the stones,” he asserted, a sad smile coming to his face when he saw Claire’s frown. “I still dinna ken why ye’ve no realized that yerself, but as ye’re here and I’m a selfish enough man, it doesna seem right to be pointin’ it out to ye too often.”
“It doesn’t really matter why she’s here,” Claire said, showing how much she cared for his comments by refusing to acknowledge them. “All that matters is that she is here.”
“Ye’ve missed her, Sassenach.”
“Of course I have. But as keen as I am to see her again myself, I’m more eager for the two of you to meet and know one another. You… have no idea how many times I wished and dreamt—hopelessly—that you could have known each other. It seemed… so unfair to both of you that you were never given that chance… And now you have it.”
“Claire… I dinna ken as I’m brave enough,” Jamie murmured. “What must she think of me? To send ye both away like that before Culloden… To go to that battlefield with a mind to die… There were so many days I had convinced myself that livin’ through it when so many were killed was punishment for wishing my life over, for tryin’ to end it wi’out doin’ it myself… aimin’ for the loop hole. And then now—takin’ ye away from her when ye learnt I hadna died. Forcin’ the truth upon her when she could ha’ gone her whole life without that weighin’ on her…”
“She knows the truth and she can make up her own mind about you,” Claire told him, sitting beside him at last and laying her head against his shoulder. “I’m the one who chose to leave. You had no say in it one way or another—and she knows that. She was the one who gave me the final nudge… Let’s not think about it anymore.”
“Ye ken well enough, that’s no goin’ to happen,” Jamie muttered.
“Not unless we force ourselves to think of something else. What do you think are the odds that of all the people in Wilmington, she ran into Murtagh?”
“As if I dinna already have enough to thank him for, now I have his watching over Brianna and restoring her to us to add to the list.”
“I cannot wait to show off the cabin,” Claire said, lying back on the bed and staring up at the bed clothes. “She’ll be amazed to learn all about how you built it.”
“It’s no as impressive as houses are in yer time, Sassenach, I’m sure.” He lay back next to her, both of them with their legs hanging off the edge of the bed.
“There aren’t many homeowners who build their houses themselves. And she learned about hunting and camping when she was younger…”
They talked through some of the night and then fell into a silence that balanced their growing nerves with the desire to be away from the city and headed home with their daughter along for the ride.
Brianna spotted them before they were able to make out her and Murtagh through the trees.
“Mama!” she cried, freezing in place for a moment while Claire’s eyes scanned the brush.
“Bree,” Claire breathed when her eyes locked on Brianna’s. They both began to run but Brianna was a little faster. She nearly knocked Claire to the ground as she threw her arms around her mother’s neck and began crying with relief, rubbing her wet eyes against Claire the way she had when she was a baby.
“I’ve missed you, Mama,” she sobbed.
“I’ve missed you, too,” Claire assured her, too numb with surprise and relief to squeeze Brianna as tightly as she wanted.
“I have to tell you—I have to warn you,” Brianna pulled back, sputtering and sniffling, her eyes scanning the way Claire had come to be sure Fergus wouldn’t overhear. From the conversation they’d had the evening before, it didn’t appear to her that he knew the whole truth of Claire’s disappearance.
She lost her train of thought the moment her attention landed on Jamie.
He nodded at her with tears in his eyes and a trembling smile on his face. Claire turned, Brianna still firmly within her grasp.
“That’s him?” Brianna asked in a whisper.
“Yes.” Claire took a small step toward him and Brianna followed.
“You’re… really real,” Brianna observed, her voice still rough and barely audible. Her cheeks flushed with self-consciousness and uncertainty.
Jamie heard her and his smile took a more sure form.
“I ken what ye mean. I’ve seen the photographs yer mother brought… but they dinna do ye justice. And… I think I’d like to hear yer side to some of the stories she’s told,” Jamie mused, his gaze too eager to take in as many details of Brianna as possible.
Brianna looked to her mother and began to relax. “That depends on what stories she’s told about me.”
“Each and every one I can remember,” Claire promised her.
They were at last close enough to touch but Claire was the only one  who dared, keeping in constant contact with Brianna as though to anchor her in place.
“It’ll never be enough,” Jamie said, reaching a hand hesitantly to Brianna’s cheek. “I want to know everything there is to know about ye—what it was like to watch ye growin’ up what it is tha’s changed since ye parted… if ye can ever forgive me…”
She rolled her eyes and scoffed. “Forgive you? Why would you think you need my forgiveness?”
“What have I done that doesna beg yer forgiveness? I wasna there to protect ye or care for ye. I didna help ye wi’ yer first steps or hold ye to help ye sleep at night…”
“You’re here now,” Brianna pointed out with a playful smile and tears in her eyes. “Or maybe I’m here now.” She stepped up to him and slipped her arms around him, laying her cheek against his chest and sighing when his arms came up around her, holding her closer.

He wasn 19t sure which company it was, though some people were whispering it was Amazon.com.**Stanforth, 71, owns a storage business and looks a bit like the actor Jeffrey Tambor. It wasn 19t the most spiritually rewarding work, but it paid well, enabling package handlers to patronize the shops on Wilmington 19s Main Street, to get haircuts in the barbershop and body illustrations at the tattoo parlor. Even the local bookstore did great business, especially when Harry Potter novels came out. 1CThey shut down the main street, 1D Stanforth says wistfully, about the release party the store threw in 2007 for the seventh book in the Potter series. 1CThere were people everywhere. Depending on how abounding photos you have, we like the algebraic to be equal. So, for example, if you accept one ample photo, we like two or three baby photos to go with it. For walls, we adopt not to go abate than a 5-by-7 frame, and alike then, we adopt to accept mats about it. Baby photos can accomplish us ache our eyes. “We additionally adopt ancestors photos to be ‘snuggled’ together. Application a huge bank and not abundant photos is a big no-no. I would rather see a abate bank with the ancestors photos deeply abiding together. Hallways are appealing accepted for ancestors photos, but aloof about any allowance makes sense. An in-depth history of the world's best bromance
Tumblr media
Near, far, wherever they are, we believe that Barack Obama and Joe Biden's bromance does go on.
With inauguration day only hours away, it's time to look back on the laughter, the tears and the fierce brotherly love that made the Obama and Biden friendship the beloved First Bromance of America that it's been over these past eight years.
SEE ALSO: 10 inspiring moments from Barack Obama's presidency in GIFs
From ice-cream socials and grand birthday gestures to supportive speeches and financial assistance, ever since Barack and Joe won the 2008 election, they've had each other's backs, through thick and thin.
So before the boys try out the whole long-distance thing, let us reflect on some of the maaaaany times they raised the bar for #FriendshipGoals, in no particular order.
Casual hangouts
Even though they're two of the most important people on earth, Barack and Joe don't need to be surrounded by impressive architecture, fancy cuisine or famous friends to have a good time. Whether they're grabbing some ice cream, a few burgers or kicking it in the stands of a game, like true BFFs, they chill whenever and whenever.

The BroHugs
Obama and Biden made sure to hug it out at every available opportunity. Though they've embraced every opportunity to embrace they could find, over the past eight years, one of the most memorable hugs came during a moment the two shared on stage after being re-elected for a second term in 2012.

That time they made a workout video together
After the dynamic duo was challenged by Michelle Obama to show us how they move, in support of FLOTUS's "Let's Move" campaign, BFFs Barack and Joe came together to do some jogging around the White House, a little stretching, and a lot of rehydrating, of course.
When Joe made sure Barack was in his first selfie
Normally, a first selfie is an iconic moment for you—and you alone. But when it came time for Joe Biden to snap his first selfie, he knew it'd be nothing without his best friend by his side. The legendary Instagram post (captioned: "Found a friend to join my first selfie on Instagram. Thanks for following and stay tuned. –VP") features the bros smiling ear-to-ear in the back of a presidential motorcade.
We wish we could be this cool.

In times of tragedy
When Joe Biden's eldest son, former Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden, passed away in May of 2015, Barack made sure he was right by our VP's side every step of the way.
After the news broke, Obama released a touching statement explaining, "Like his dad, Beau was a good, big-hearted, devoutly Catholic and deeply faithful man, who made a difference in the lives of all he touched—and he lives on in their hearts."
He later gave a moving eulogy at Beau's funeral.
"We are here to grieve with you, but more importantly we are here because we love you," Obama addressed the Biden family before praising Beau's character. "Anyone can make a name for themselves in this reality TV age, but to make that name mean something, to have it associated with dignity and integrity—that is rare," he said.
Before concluding his speech, Obama addressed his dear friend, reassuring him, "Joe, you are my brother."

In an interview with CNN that aired in January 2016, Biden reflected on Obama's deeply supportive actions during the difficult time, and shared that POTUS offered him and his family financial help and heartfelt advice during his son's illness.
After Biden told Obama he was thinking of selling his family's Wilmington, Delaware home in order to care for Beau's family, Obama immediately took action. According to the VP, Obama "got up and he said, 'Don't sell that house. Promise me you won't sell the house.'"
Biden told CNN's Gloria Borger, Obama said, "I'll give you the money. Whatever you need, I'll give you the money. Don't, Joe—promise me. Promise me."

Post-Trump, but still tight
On Nov. 9, President Obama stood in the Rose Garden to deliver a statement on the election results following Hillary Clinton's loss. At a time when Americans were feeling a range of emotions, Obama and Biden did their best to keep things hopeful and lighthearted.
"I've lost elections before," Obama admitted before joking, "Joe hasn't, but you know."
Biden then graced Obama with one of his epic side hugs and recalled his own ill-fated presidential campaign in 2008, reminding his pal: "You beat me badly."
The presents
For President Obama's 55th birthday, Biden tweeted a photo of friendship bracelets made for the duo.
Are. You. Kidding. Me.
The gesture was likely a throwback to a June BuzzFeed video, "5 Things that Are Harder than Registering to Vote," in which President Obama makes his very own "Barack" and "Joe" bracelets, but whatever the inspiration was, friendship bracelets are no joke.

In case that gift wasn't heartfelt enough, Biden continued to woo Obama as his special day went on, bringing him delicious looking birthday cupcakes... WITH CANDLES.

In September, Obama returned the love to Biden on his special day, offering him birthday wishes in the form of an adorable tweet where he referred to Joe as the "best VP and friend."

The meme of all memes
When America needed it most, Barack and Joe's friendship was there.
Following Donald Trump's election, the bromance inspired the brilliant people of the internet to create a coping meme, which consisted of charming photographs of POTUS and VP accompanied by Biden's fictional and menacing intentions of ways to mess with Trump.

The "Biden plotting against Trump" memes will live in glorious infamy and forever remind us of the intimate and humorous relationship Barack and Biden shared in the White House.
Barack's goodbyes
On Jan. 10, President Obama delivered his emotional farewell address to the American people.
Towards the end of the speech, he turned to Vice President Joe Biden, whom he of course called a "brother."
"To Joe Biden, the scrappy kid from Scranton who became Delaware’s favorite son," Obama said. "You were the first choice I made as a nominee, and the best. Not just because you have been a great vice president, but because in the bargain, I gained a brother."
*blinks back tears*
"We love you and Jill like family, and your friendship has been one of the great joys of our life," Obama concluded before he and Joe exchanged a legendary finger guns exchange.
Joe's big surprise
After watching the video below—which documents the ultimate display of bromantic affection—you'll be hard pressed not to be weepy.
On Jan. 12 President Obama surprised Biden with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and Americans watched through blurry eyes as the VP broke down in tears.
Biden and Obama both took the mic to praise one another and share some insight on their friendship.
One final meme
As Obama praised Biden's accomplishments and character before presenting him with the Medal of Freedom, he straight up acknowledged the bromance.
"This also gives the internet one last chance to talk about our bromance." pic.twitter.com/aQnsUyH293
— Mashable GIF (@mashablegif) January 12, 2017
Not only did the internet talk about their bromance once again, but of course, made one final meme of the two pals before they left the White House.
To help us survive inauguration week, the  touching moment when Obama presented Biden with the Presidential Medal of Freedom was transformed into a joke sesh.

The Living History of Jacob Lawrence’s ‘Migration Series’
Chase QuinnAugust 31, 2015
Tumblr media
Jacob Lawrence, “Panel 3” (1940–41) (all images courtesy the Museum of Modern Art, New York)
I am only one generation removed from the history of African American migrants who, between 1917 and 1970, travelled North seeking economic opportunity, education, and respite from the strictures of Jim Crow South. The story that unfolds in the Museum of Modern Art’s (MoMA) One-Way Ticket: Jacob Lawrence’s Migration Series and Other Visions of the Great Movement North is therefore a deeply personal one. On my third and most recent visit, my pulse raced with anticipation as I walked toward the main gallery, even though I knew what was to come. The sound of many languages echoed throughout the hall as people from all over the world gathered to partake in the stories of my grandfather and grandmother, who both made their own migration North, where they settled in Wilmington, Delaware, and worked at a Chrysler factory for years. My grandfather was born and raised in rural Alabama. My grandmother picked cotton on a farm in Virginia.
For this reason, as a viewer I felt both grateful for the captions that accompany each image, written in Lawrence’s deceptively simplistic prose — “they did not always leave because they were promised work in the North. Many of them left because of Southern conditions … they were unable to make a living where they were” — and simultaneously possessed by a selfish impulse to shout at my fellow patrons: “This is living history!” It is not bound by the glass case holding its artifacts; neither is it a story book with a clear beginning and end that the rustic style of Lawrence’s illustrations might suggest.
Without rendering individuals as literary or political symbols, One-Way Ticket is a story we continue to see play out in the news, in courtrooms, and in overpoliced Black communities every day. It is prescient timing that this collection is brought together for the first time in 20 years, as One-Way Ticket is in direct dialogue with recent violence we’ve seen directed at Black bodies from Baltimore to New York, and in other urban centers where so many Black people concentrated during the Great Migration — and where they would be patrolled for years to come.

The tempera panels themselves, positioned side by side, are like cells in a stock-reel animation. You can feel the hustle and bustle of the people and almost hear the scream of the train cars. Like Lawrence’s other collections, One-Way Ticket depicts a defining moment in African American history. His larger body of work also covers the life and times of Fredrick Douglass, the story of the Underground Railroad and journeywoman Harriet Tubman, and the Haitian revolution and leadership of Toussaint L’Overture.
Based on subject matter alone, his work could easily be read as uncomplicated narratives of Black heroism. A closer read, however, reveals a dark irony and macabre sense of humor that borders on the subversive.
In panel 16, for instance, a black woman slumps over a kitchen table in utter defeat. The caption reads: “Although the Negro was used to lynching, he found this an opportune time for him to leave where one had occurred.” Stated with a dry, almost casual tone, this caption both articulates the feeling of resignation and abandonment that the slumped woman conveys, while the odd word choice captures the absurdity and despair that must inhabit a place where there is anything “opportune” seen in a lynching.
In panel 44, after outlining the many reasons why Black people migrated to the North in the great numbers that they did — famine, floods, lack of education, Jim Crow, and lynchings — Lawrence reminds us with dubious conviction: “Living conditions were better in the North.” This statement is made without any support and is paired with the cartoonish image of a T-bone steak, like something in a mirage. The set of panels that follow dispel this myth, acknowledging that, in fact, life in the North for a majority of Blacks did not mean T-bone steak, but labor camps, housing discrimination, unhealthy living conditions, and race riots. Lawrence upturns the question of what was “better” or “worse” for Black people, honing in instead on the cross-cutting and overarching systems of oppression that define both the American North and South.
3) JACOB LAWRENCE, panel 54, 18x12 Jacob Lawrence, “Panel 54,” 18×12 (click to enlarge) Finally, in an image meant to illustrate (and critique?) the role of the black church as a social hub of growing urban Black communities, the black congregation joins in worship, overlooked by a mural of a white Jesus and Mother Mary.
The adjoining rooms contain a vast collection of photographs, paintings, writings, and archival footage from the 1920s, ’30s, and ’40s. Over the speakers an array of African American musicians and composers offer a soundtrack to this experience that ranges from the epic sweep of William Grant Still’s symphonies to the back-water-blues of Bessie Smith.
Other highlights include the streaming archival footage of Billie Holiday crooning “Strange Fruit.” Slinking on stage in a shimmery knit dress, thin and wan, her lips curl around the notes as she leads you on a journey. You can see the Spanish moss and smell the rot of Magnolias, sweet and fresh.
The photography collection, subtitled The Artist as Historian, stands as one of the most impressive features of One-Way Ticket, containing work by Ben Shahn, including “Picking Cotton, Pullaski County Arkansas” (October 1935), and Gordon Parks, “Children with Doll, Washington DC” (1942). Paired with the thunder of Paul Robeson’s rendition of “Ol Man River” (1928), you can hear the clouds gather on the horizon of Shahn’s “Picking Cotton,” and almost feel the breeze through the cotton stalks as the subject’s gaze strikes the viewer as vast as the landscape.
Parks’s “Children with Doll” is equally enigmatic, depicting two knobby-kneed black children affectionately posing with a blond and blue-eyed baby doll. Here, Parks centers a discourse on the roles that advertising culture, media, and representation play in the systemization of oppression and the stigmatization of Blackness, echoing the symbolism of Lawrence’s conspicuous white Jesus.

In another astonishing photo by Parks, “Bedroom Wall (Woman in her bedroom, Southwest section, Washington, DC)” (1942), a Black woman in a work dress sits on the edge of a bed, her hands resting behind her as she gazes into the distance. In the reflection of a round mirror the viewer glimpses her in a private and no doubt rare moment of stillness. Behind her is a dresser with a circle-shaped vanity. The “O” of the vanity creates a circle within the circle of the reflecting mirror — a black hole, a distortion. Next to her reflection hangs a photograph of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, his iconic, white face intruding on the composition, further alienating the woman’s sense of place. She is trapped, as it were, in a hall of mirrors. She could be my grandmother, and, incidentally, a description of the image reveals that, like my grandmother, at one point in her life, this woman too made a living cooking and cleaning for white people. Looking at the woman in this photograph and the range of other familiar images, sounds, and aesthetics that make up One-Way Ticket, it becomes clear to me that this isn’t just my history or an African American story, and neither is it the past exactly. This is American life.

WELCOME TO MONLEON:
FULL NAME: Hayden Diaz
OCCUPATION: Influencer, freelance photographer
AGE & D.O.B.: 39, October 31st 1981
RESIDENCE: South Poinsettia
ORIGINALLY FROM: Wilmington, North Carolina
HOW LONG THEY’VE BEEN IN TOWN: 6 years
BIOGRAPHY:
On October 31st back in 1981, the Diaz family was completed. Elizabeth and Antonio Diaz had welcomed their third and final child into this World at 6:30 in the morning, with two older children named Thomas and Ryleigh impatiently waiting for their new sibling. Another beautiful baby girl was born and everyone wasn’t surprised one bit, they decided to name her Hayden. Her beautiful brown eyes opened and starred up at her mother and father, and they couldn’t of been happier and more in love with the little one. Hayden Amelia Davis was a name to remember.
Aside from surfing, her hobbies included volleyball as she was placed on the junior varsity volleyball team in high school, she was also a fan of reading and writing.
However, after a few years of living back home, Hayden figured it was time to move again but this time she moved to some place she’s never been before to get a fresh start, which was Monleon, Florida. Hayden always loved to travel and always dreamed about starting over in another town, and that’s what she did. Still being a content creator, and now a freelance photographer, Hayden couldn’t of been happier with the decision she has made. Living in Monleon for six years now, she’s been working at another Aquarium and continues with her blog. She now has a Youtube Channel and is active on instagram and twitter, she has gained a ton of followers and is still passionate about what she does.
HAYDEN DIAZ is portrayed by JESSICA ALBA and written by BROOKE.
