Day 9 and out final day of NEW ARTISTS ANNOUNCEMENT •• We are thrilled to represent WILLIAM VERSACE •• William Versace is a painter, sculptor and industrial designer based in Eora Country (Sydney) who, in his transdisciplinary practices, reflects upon and mimics the omnipresent elemental processes occurring in nature. Oscillating between two worlds, William’s work is a desire driven process to find home – to find true connection with a land that is not his own, whilst simultaneously looking inward to uncover a culture that exists within his blood, his bones, his body memory. Influenced by his experience as a first generation immigrant from Calabria, Italy, the friction between culture and the natural landscapes of the land he finds himself in, William’s work is enchanted by his ancestry. His sculptural resin works are a sensual experience evoking both body and memory, inviting you into an experience of, and reflection upon, the time we exist in being consumed with both past and future.
