There are 8 million stories in the Naked City. Here are six. The precursor to The Naked Gun films. I grew up watching ZAZ stuff (Airplane, Top Secret! Hot Shots, Jane Austen's Mafia, etc) including the Naked Gun movies; so when Angie Tribeca got called the Police Squad for this generation, i knew i needed to check out Police Squad. i LOVE this kind of humor, where you have to both Listen AND Watch, to completely understand and comprehend the amazingness of ZAZ comedy (at least their classic, earlier stuff) Six episodes weren't enough, but they sure are packed with an insanely high degree of campy, groan-worthy and downright fantastic gags....the scenes with the scientist explaining evidence (right after questionable lessons with young kids)...the shoe shine guy and his clients...the elecvator gags...the poses they actually held through the credits..."Rex Hamilton as Abraham Lincoln"...good lawd i wish there had been at least a few more episodes...daaaaang. and now i need to go back and finish Angie Tribeca. #sstvshowof2016 #comedy #crime #ZAZ #ZuckerAbrahamsZucker #DavidZucker #JimAbrahams #JerryZucker #LeslieNielsen #AlanNorth #PeterLupus #RexHamilton #EdWilliams #WilliamDuell #sightgags #slapstick (6 eps, '82) tv show of 2016 number 1) #PoliceSquad!
