I have no idea how to make a post about this so I'll just say it. Pavlov was right and I know he was right because I learned coding over the summer and everytime I worked on it I chewed mint gum to give myself some physical stimulus so I didn't get bored and now everytime I write code I taste that same brand of mint gum.
#its INSTANT too#like at work im learning website management but we use a website designer that simplifies the concepts down as much as possible#so its not actually CODING#but some parts of it we use html just to make the bare formatting of something better like a <br> or <em>#and everytime I type <br> in the context of using it in code i literally taste that gum immediately#its only four characters but it ALWAYS happens#this might be problematic in the long run should i decide to learn more detailed code but see also: its really fucking funny#now im thinking about other flavors i can use for other skills. like what flavor gum should i use for languages#i know theres that thing thats like if you chew gum while u study and chew that same gum during a test you'll remember better#idk if thats true but listen i can't express how clearly i taste mint gum when i do even the slightest coding#will i ever be able to have spearmint gum again without seeing lists of tags and style sheets in my brain?#will someone put mint in my mouth when im dead and ill die thinking about coding? what are the long term implications of this#i havent had mint gum independent of coding since i started so would having the gum make me want to code??? is that how this works???#anyways rb with your pavlovian responses. another one i have is that fluoride mouthwash makes me have to pee
