my favorite headcanon about alexander: he tried not only to recreate the traveller's amulet in the form of an inner sanctuary, but also to recreate the liquid that turned Cassandra's crew into ghouls: due to the fact that he had no initial resources, he managed to make only Gatherers who were unable to absorb and give vitae the same way as ghouls, but at the same time possessed regeneration and a monstrous appearance (in this regard, I would note that the Beast has features similar to Grunt) Thus, we can say that Wilhelm and company are just failed ghouls :(

To think of it there is this Amnesia shtick about characters drinking stuff which fucks them up big time like Wilhelm and his men drinking poisoned wine, Cassandra’s crew drinking from the fountain in the temple, Henri collected water from the spring for Augustin to drink

i haven't told you about alexander's meltdowns when he becomes absolutely feral i mean FERAL yes he can transform in his true self when that happens but that is actually rare when he becomes a real monster but that always happens not only with him but with wilhelm too who is just trying to survive every time- alexander usually shouts at wilhelm his mood changes VERY QUICK and wilhelm becomes numb when alexander acts weird anxious agressive etc. sometimes alex even beat him and wilhelm is genuinely afraid of him not only because alexander starts growling and staring at him for a long time without blinking but because they are same height which means alexander is actually able to take him in a fight and one day it got compeletely out of hand and wilhelm was so terrified by alexander's behavior he got his fucking panic attack AND THEN he instinctively used his fist to protect himself and broke alexander's nose as a result?? the blue liquid was leaking from alex nosrtils and also was left on wilhelms hand alexander was shocked he seemed lost and very scared but it actually helped to calm him down anyways wilhelm was shocked by his own action i guess it is disturbing at least i tried to portray their fear and confusion
