Here's my other piece for the @wildwestalia zine: an 8 page comic between Prussia and Mexico!
Mexico has had some Germanic influences over the years, especially during the "Wild West" era when an influx of German immigrants came over to the US, first during the 1840s, then again during the 1880s. To this day, you can still see some of the German influences in Mexico, especially in the ranchera music that started in Northern Mexico.
I also created this as a sort of homage to my own Germanic ancestry, specifically during the 1880s when my great-great grandparents met each other. I may have also some more German ancestry from the Prussian Deal of 1842, when some Prussian nobles tried to create Fredericksburg in Texas but fumbled it badly, but that's still debated in my family, and is a funny historical event for another time.
I hope you enjoyed the gay cowboys~ I'm definitely gonna draw them more, I love them dearly :)

So I forgot to post my works from the @wildwestalia zine I was in, whoops!
This is one of two pieces I submitted to the zine! It's of America and Romano getting their first cowboy lessons from my Mexico OC. It's set before 1845, before the Republic of Texas was annexed then admitted as the 28th state, hence why America doesn't have his glasses yet.

This transaction of the zine's proceeds will be completely transparent by including all relevant information on the receipt and/or donation summary of this transaction on a public post. I will also post proof that all of the proceeds raised from the zine went to this transaction and weren't pocketed! I thank everyone for their patience! Meet @solqij, Wild Westalia's Mod & Illustrator! 👋
☆ Tz'unün’s work often revolves around their original characters that were created for Hetalia. Despite their work having little to do with the western genre, they do focus a lot on using their art and characters to express their Indigenous heritage and explore their culture. They are very pleased that the zine’s funds will be going towards the NPY Women’s Council in order to bring awareness to Indigenous issues. Their artwork has been featured in two zines in the past, and a small illustration has been created for this zine as a way to express their appreciation as a moderator. ☆

Meet @michichi69, Wild Westalia Fanzine's Head Organiser! 👋
☆ Michiko’s body of work focuses on historical Hetalia and AUs, the western genre included! She has been in a few Hetalia zines and anthologies as a contributor but has now had the chance of running a zine herself for the first time ever.
She hopes to bring Hetalia and the western genre together to bring awareness to Aboriginal women’s issues, a subject close to her heart being an Aboriginal woman herself. Her art has often been an opportunity to explore and learn about other cultures and histories along with sharing her own. ☆
