The Lord is our shepherd.
I’ve reflected on this meaning a bit today so I thought I’d share.
God is our shepherd. We are His sheep. Not all of us fit in. Some of the sheep are black, some are white, some are in various shades of different colors. Some of us have missing hooves. Some of us just don’t fit in with the main crowd. Some of the sheep hate other sheep, saying that the shepherd doesn’t love them for who they are. But they’re wrong.
The Shepherd loves all His sheep.
The Shepherd cares for all of His sheep.
Some of the sheep don’t love the shepherd. They fight and kick and won’t go to Him.
But He loves them regardless.
Some of the sheep struggle, are stuck behind the rest of the herd and can’t quite keep up.
He helps them. He carries them. He waits for them.
He loves all of His sheep, for he is the Shepherd. He doesn’t love one sheep more than others. He doesn’t dislike sheep because of who they are. He loves every single one of them for exactly who they are. And He weeps for every sheep lost to the wolves.
So remember if you hear someone say that God doesn’t love you, they’re wrong. God loves everyone. Regardless of race, class, gender, sexuality, or whatever.
God loves you.

Next Writing
Sorry I haven’t really posted anything in a while. There has been a huge wave of unproductivity and writers block that hit me and it is finally starting to pass.
I’m going to be working on the first two chapters of Children of Arkham as well as the first chapter of Phantom and Nightcharm’s story, but in the meantime I’m going to post a demo for a story I was thinking of writing. Depending on the feedback I get, I may write a full story around it. For now, it’s going to remain in it’s short story/clip like state.

Some Thoughts on Fraternities and Sororities
So “Greek week” just passed a few days ago on my college campus so I thought I’d say a few things on it. If you are part of a sorority or fraternity, I know this post may sound almost attacking, so I’m going to upfront say I am not attacking you. I have no issues with individual members of either, all other things aside.
Fraternities and sororities are NOT for everyone. DO NOT join one if your only intention is to make friends. There are plenty of other groups and clubs you can join that won’t push you like frats/sororities do. Joining one is akin to a contract. You have to pay to get in, pay a fee to get out, have to do certain activities that may hinder your learning/grades in college. I speak not from personal experience, but multiple personal accounts from friends.
The most important of which was a friend of mine who I’ll call Jane.
Jane was someone I met during my first week on campus, we were both freshman. She was so excited to come up and learn, and she announced that she was joining a sorority. She told me it cost a bit to join, but she didn’t mind. She enjoyed her time there.
We fell out of contact for a while.
Two weeks before finals, I saw her again. I talked to her, and I could tell she was miserable. She told me how she started drinking so she would fit in, how her grades were dropping due to mandatory sorority functions, and she was working to try to make up the money to leave the sorority. Her eyes held baggage I had never seen the likes of before.
I didn’t see her again until the next school year.
She looked revitalized. She had dropped the sorority and was so happy, just as she was when I first met her as a freshman. She didn’t drink anymore, and had joined a Christian club on campus. She found a belonging that wasn’t draining the life from her. I was so happy to see her so full of life again.
So, really think over joining a sorority or fraternity. Ask about everything required of you. Ask what the fees are, cause there are quite a few. Don’t just trust that everything will be fine. Mind yourself and be careful.

I legitimately just lost ten minutes of my life realizing that probably almost all of my followers have never heard the Huntington Mall Holliday jingle.
It’s such a catchy tune.
It sticks in my head more easily than any well-known Christmas song.

Explaining My Next Story and Why It’s So Personal
One year ago today, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. A few months ago, I found this post which really struck me to write. I wanted to write a story to tribute anyone who had been touched by the dark hand of cancer as I have been more than once. I have seen multiple family members go through this ordeal, my grandmother dealing with more than one type of cancer in my lifetime, and luckily surviving all of them.
As I said, my mother was recently diagnosed, but luckily we caught it early in Stage 1. She had a biopsy done and did some radiation just to be sure. My mother has been cancer free for about eight months now.
I know that around 7.6 million people die each year from cancer, and I know they all have families and friends that are also heavily affected from this. I know this because just over a year ago, I thought my mother was going to join that statistic.
My great aunt is also struggling with a terminal diagnosis and has been given less than half a year. She has cancer affecting multiple organs as well as her bones. The saddest part about this is that she’s completely aware of everything, and is basically living on morphine. Although I knew her, we were never too close (my family is pretty distant with my father’s side of the family). Still, it’s bothered my father a lot and that’s really encouraged me even more to write this.
The author of the post linked above is also having a scare right now. She said that there is concern currently that she may have cancer as well. My hopes and prayers go out to her in hopes that it either isn’t cancer or, in the event it may be, that it was caught early enough that fixing the problem won’t be an issue.
Anyway, enough babbling. I didn’t want my ramblings attached to the story. My next upload will be the story based off of @enygmass post, my tribute to cancer survivors, friends and family of survivors, and to those that lost loved ones to cancer.

My Cat, the Super-Villain
It occurred to me earlier this morning that my cat Ash is a lot like Jonathan Crane.
Prefers solitude
Flees from affection
Doesn't like attention
Or hugs
Or people
Will meow and grumble and hiss when being hugged
Will only try to fight until he realizes it's futile
Will still meow and hiss and grumble but will no longer try to scratch or bite when that happens
Tries to play mind games (i.e. will meow only until you look to make you think you're just hearing it and he isn't responsible)
Passive Aggressive is his second language
Sass is his third
Irritable af
Hides during parties
Flees from children
Peer pressure to get him to eat
If you try to pat you get a slap
No concern for your boundaries
Pop his bubble he will scratch
Ready to fight 24/7
“Don’t touch me I will end you.”
Attacks for seemingly no reason but probably science
Picky eater
Hates pictures
Photogenic tho
Eyes the color of fear toxin
Quiet unless bothered
Always judging
Likes to be tol
Always looks 1000000% done
Glares at Edward Nygma anytime he appears on Gotham
Once literally blocked the screen so I failed the Scarecrow portion of Arkham Asylum multiple times. I had to turn off the game and wait until he left and close the door so he couldn’t get back in before I could pass that bit. He was sitting outside meowing the whole time.
Speedy
Thin
Sheds everywhere
Probably plotting to rule the world
Cute af protect him
Surrounded by crazy people

So @iwannatacoboutbatman and I made Dorian Gray in the Sims 3. He took this pose. My grandma walked by and took one look at him and said, "What, does he think he's sexy or something?" We just burst out laughing.

“Please shut the door behind you. We do not want any more surprises. Thank you.” This sign is at my new workplace. It’s difficult to see, but the picture on the right is of a black snake climbing over furniture in the entryway of the office. I had to ask what it was since the picture was so dark. My boss said that they didn’t close the door all the way while working in another room, and it got inside and almost bit my boss when they came back in. There is also a single “Happy Anniversary” sticker on it. That is because the second anniversary hasn’t come yet.

May be an unpopular opinion but people who aren’t psychologists or psychiatrists shouldn’t say what is or isn’t a mental disorder.
#tired of people saying gender identity is a mental disorder#tired of lgbtqa+ hate being filed under mental disorder#not in the DSM anymore#just like female hysteria isnt in there anymore#wilberdojo musings#rant#lgbtq

My prayers and condolences go out to the victims of the Las Vegas shooting last night, both directly and indirectly affected. There aren’t words to express the sheer autrocity of this. Last I heard there’s 50 dead and over 400 injured. I can’t imagine what friends and family are going through right now. This truly is, to date, the worst mass shooting in modern American history.

So I start my first job today
I'm a little nervous, but I'm sure it'll be fine. I've never really worked before besides the one time I babysat for my mom's friend, so I'm a bit on-edge actually working with people I don't know. I'm probably just overreacting and there's really nothing to worry about.

I’m Back
I’m still doing some finishing touches on the project I mentioned but I have enough time now to say I’m back on here. The story will be released at some point on September 23rd. There’s a reason for this, and I’ll explain more that day before I post it. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Big Project
I'm expecting to be a bit inactive on here for a week or so as I'm revising and refining a big project I took on. It's something extremely personal and I don't want to just half-ass it so I'm taking some time off to revise it a few times before posting. I'll explain more along with when I post it. I just really want to take some time to look over it closely and make sure I don't miss/mess up anything. Thank you all for understanding. I expect that project to be the next thing posted on my blog.

So this may not be a big milestone to most, but to all 10 of my followers, thank you. I know I don't have much personal activity on here, just a lot of reblogs, but I wanted to personally say thank you to each of you. If any of you want to talk, feel free to message me. Whether it be for help, to talk about writings or posts, or just to say hi. I'd be more than happy to talk to each and every one of you.
