I won't play it until my hoyo hyperfixation dies down buuuut I caved and bought that 20th anniversary Atelier game. I'm a simple man, I see Ayesha, Totori, and Sophie in one game together and I smash that purchase button.

Hi! It’s been so long since I’ve uploaded anything here so I will start to update this tumblr bit by bit. I’ve otherwise been quite active at twitter instead.

With that being said, I was commissioned to illustrate this by the fantastic @mirihawke earlier this year! Thank you so much (*'▽')!! I like Wilbell very much so this illustration was exciting and enjoyable to do. Of note, I illustrated Wilbell as she appears in Atelier Escha & Logy.

Wilbell from Atelier Escha and Logy! I love her with all my heart. Made this to sell as a print for the con I did about 2 years ago! Really want to redraw it, I think I could do a lot better on it now.

One of the things I like about Ayesha is. She is, very affectionately, an airhead. We are introduced to her nearly blowing up her face because she left the cauldron on and forgot about it to daydream about lunch. She loses her wallet and proceeds to recount her entire day instead of to-the-point saying what happened. She only realizes she made an explosive when the finished item is in her hand.

She's also incredibly smart.

She can give detailed explanations of what each and everyone of her medicines do at the drop of a hat. In fact, said products are so good everyone who used them vouches for them and they're a hot ticket item. She has a perfect knowledge of the local ancient language, which people who are engaging in actual archeological work don't have the faintest idea of.

And this is the important part! Everyone recognizes her as knowledgeable and competent to a fault! Ernie, Regina, Marietta, Marion, they all treat her as a peer they can rely on and they make sure to return the favor whenever as possible, not someone they have to baby and take care of. When Ayesha says, with no evidence, she thinks her sister is alive and she'll upend her entire life to find her, Regina and Ernie go "ok, I believe in you. What can I do to help?"

Even characters such as Wilbell and Keithgriff, who respectively try to exploit her and is just overall rude to her, recognize her skills and her earnest search for improvement.

It is just nice, you know? The supportiveness and the acknowledgement your ability and competence as a professional are separate from your personality are nice.
