I never want to say I’m feeling “blessed” because it honestly feels like an understatement. - I’m FAR FAR beyond blessed. Today, I worked a job where I was encouraged to take care of ME, first. I worked from home, so I didn’t have to get out of my pjs (literally still sitting in them...😁) And didn’t even have to leave my Lola pup.❤️ Chads still on the road until tomorrow, so I’m able to drop everything & pick up the phone ANY time it rings from him😍 (his tour schedule is usually CRAY so talking for 2 seconds is HUGE) - I used to work jobs that sucked the life out of me. I wasn’t sleeping. I wasn’t eating well. I wasn’t taking care of me, ever. I used to work jobs where I didn’t even have the option of having a dog, because the poor thing would’ve been left all day long😢 I used to work jobs where breaks were for peeing ONLY & when you took anything longer than 2 minutes, people got mad at you.😳 - But this “work” I get to do everyday NOW, gives me purpose, and its fueled by passion.🌸 So It’s nice to not have any “Sunday scaries” anymore. Solo Valentines Date night with myself💗✌🏽2 years in a row...not because I don’t HAVE a valentine, but just because he’s always gone traveling on Valentine’s day🤷🏼‍♀️ #wifeofamusician #whatyagonnado - So first, got my nails did💅🏼 (mermaid style per usual...but still wanted to keep it wintery🧜🏼‍♀️❄️) Then, took my time moseying around @thefreshmarket for some VERY important ingredients to help me make GF-DF cookie-dough later tonight🍪!!!! Chad left early this morning for a weekend away with the band. They’re heading to Ohio to play at a conference & I always get a little anxious before he leaves... Mostly because I know I’ll miss him a lot & because I worry about him while away.... But I’ve learned how important it is to make a CONSCIOUS mindset shift as he walks out the door & it ALWAYS helps me get rid of that anxiety. This is what I say... I AM okay on my own. I am OKAY without Chad. He is okay without me. And he is okay on HIS own. - Just those simple words can TOTALLY change my mindset. And after doing that this morning, I decided to take the extra time & spend it with some of my very best friends on our coaching team tonight💗 - We hopped on a LIVE video chat to “work” & ended up talking about life & dogs & shoes & candles & our holidays😂😂 It was SO needed. But I probably would’ve been too “stressed out” to talk to them if I hadn’t been intentional before Chad left. - I’m just SO thankful for my community of coaching beauties & their CONSTANT support & love no matter what state I’m in. - Curious. Chad & I went on our FIRST date, the summer before I decided i was even worth taking care of....sad but true 🙈🤷🏼‍♀️ It had been a hard year. I had lost a lot of friends. But mostly, I felt like I was losing myself. - SWIPE left👉🏽👉🏽 I’d committed to 22. min. a day. of workouts. I was feeling INCREDIBLE. Chad & I we’re honeymooning, and I told him I HAD to workout. EVEN on our honeymoon.😜 For the first time ever, I talked about my struggle with binge eating & over exercising. And THAT was why I had to commit to this. I didn’t want to fall back into my bad habits from the past. I knew that I was WORTH more than that...and so-for the first time EVER, he joined in to sweat right alongside me.💪🏽 - SWIPE left again👉🏽👉🏽 We’ve been married for a year now. And chad decided to commit to HIS first ever program about 6 months ago😍 (I was absolutely ECSTATIC when he told me) Now HE is the one telling me, “babe, I HAVE to go workout today, I don’t get 2 rest days like you do”😂 - It’s SO much fun to know that now, TOGETHER, we are both committed to being the BEST versions of ourselves, everyday. & in doing that, we’re better humans. Chad had a virtual writing session this morning with a good friend from town... & at first all I was thinking was, how cool is that?! He’s working like I do! Meeting up with homies on the computer & making things WERK🙌🏽😍 (from home!🏡) - The only NOT cool thing about it all...was when I realized, that he was on one side of the trailer talking//writing with a guy...& I wasn’t quite ready for the day or dressed yet, so I had to wander around making sure I wasn’t seen & that I wasn’t making too much noise🙈 #tinyhouseproblems - Still not too bad...until little miss Lola decide to whine & I didn’t want to interrupt the boys so I put her in her kennel thinking... she’ll probably just take a nap! but then 5 minutes later she decided to THROW up. This week has been one- That the old me...would have numbed out through✌🏽- w/ binge eating, a million excuses why NOT to workout or do yoga, and self-care in the form of staying up late watching much too much drama w/ potato chips & ice cream for dessert🙈 - Let’s just say, things are VERY different now. Because the girl on the right- is someone, COMPLETELY different. - Taking care of a new puppy alone, while managing the house-work, going to work, and working on my coaching business has been a lot. I’m doing it just fine- but not without frustrations😂 or a very short fuse when Lola tries to be naughty. - Life gets tough sometimes. We ALL go through new challenges every week. But I’m proud to say, that THIS week- my struggles didn’t define me. - THIS week, I chose better for myself. & first checked into my fitness-fam for support. I read through their encouragements & victories... and seeing them show up- somehow made me stronger.💪🏽 I made a healthy dessert instead of bingeing. I used my workout as a way to let my frustrations OUT. And my self-care meant thrift shopping & going to bed early💗 - I’m proud of the girl on the right, for never giving up. For making it this far, and choosing that she deserves BETTER. - Applications for my JUNE bootcamp are opening up for a NEW waive of clients this coming week...
