Wedding of Hereditary Grand Duke Nikolaus of Oldenburg and Princess Helena of Waldeck and Pyrmont on 26 October 1921 in Arolsen, Germany.

The bridal couple. The bride (20) was the only daughter of Prince Friedrich of Waldeck and Pyrmont and his wife Princess Bathildis of Schaumburg-Lippe. Among her paternal aunts were Helena, Duchess of Albany and Queen Mother Emma of the Netherlands.

The bridegroom (24) was the only son of Grand Duke Frederick Augustus II of Oldenburg and his second wife Duchess Elisabeth Alexandrine of Mecklenburg-Schwerin.
