Yule post upcoming! I thought I would share some of the things I have been doing in the last few weeks! I have been so busy but I have been celebrating the lead up to yule in my own way
I made some mulled wine, which was really yummy! I put a warmth spell on it too!
I visited my local "illuminations" which looked lovely in the rain and mist!
I made spiced cookies and muffins!
I bought some new things for my altar - including some citrine, sunstone, and a runestone that came with a reading! They were all perfect and I'm so drawn to the sunstone, it balances perfectly with my moonstone!

The pear crisp I made that will be tonight's dessert. Happy autumn equinox, everybody! Pear Crisp For the Filling: 6 cups peeled and diced fresh pears (about 6-7 medium pears) 1/4 t. salt 1/4 t. nutmeg 1 1/2 t. cinnamon 1 t. vanilla For the Topping: 1/2 cup flour 1/4 t. salt 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup rolled oats 1 stick of butter, cut into pieces 1/3 cup finely-chopped pecans Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease an 8-inch square baking dish. Place the pears in a bowl. Add the salt, nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla and toss to coat. Spread evenly into your prepared dish. In another bowl, combine the flour, salt, sugars, and oats. Cut in the butter until a crumbly mixture forms. Add in the pecans and stir to distribute them evenly. Sprinkle the topping over your prepared pears. Bake for 45 minutes or until the top becomes golden brown and crispy and the pears are soft. Let cool ten minutes before serving. #FeedingCreatively #KitchenWitch #WheelOfTheYear #Wicca #WiccanSabbats #CelticPaganHolidays #AutumnEquinox #Mabon #AutumnDesserts #AutumnBaking #PearCrisp #PearDesserts https://www.instagram.com/p/Ci0v6FyP6gn/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Many Wiccans and Pagans celebrate Lammas (also known as Lughnasadh). It is one of eight solar Wiccan Sabbats. It's the first Harvest festival and marks the beginning of the end of summer.
I personally don't observe it, as I'm not Wiccan & my personal faith is more influenced by Kabbalah than anything else, but to all my Wiccan sisters who do, I wish you many August Blessings & hope you have a great celebratory week! ☉⚝

Hi, I just found your blog, and was wondering if Chaote is your name, a title akin to Empath, or something else entirely? I apologize if this is a strange question, I’m new.
Hey! No worries at all, I appreciate curiosity. I call myself a Chaote because I practice chaos magic; it is a title much like Empath. I love chaos magic because I feel it’s a practice that leaves things very open ended and doesn’t offer restrictions.
One can draw from various traditions to create their own, personalized brand of witchcraft. Sigils were what initially pulled me toward Chaos magic, but from the first time I learned about it, I just felt it suits me so well.
Since I could go on & on, I’ll give you a couple Wikipedia quotes that may explain Chaos magic more concisely.
“Chaos magic has been described as a union of traditional occult techniques and applied postmodernism[3] – particularly a postmodernist skepticism concerning the existence or knowability of objective truth.[4] Chaos magicians subsequently treat belief as a tool, often creating their own idiosyncratic magical systems and frequently borrowing from other magical traditions, religious movements, popular cultureand various strands of philosophy.[3]”
“Since chaos magic is built around an experimental, D.I.Y. approach that involves stripping all magical techniques down to their barest essence, any practice from any magical tradition can be incorporated under the banner of chaos magic: from Satanic ritual, to Wiccansabbats, to energy healing, to Tantric practices, etc. However, there are a few techniques that have been specifically developed by chaos magicians, and are unique to the tradition.”

Samhain, the time of dark earth spiced by dying leaves, the last berries of the year, and roaming spirits. A deep, dark black tea blended with blackberry, hazelnut, rosehips, cinnamon, and strewn with flame-bright safflower. A perfect mix of the tastiest foods Autumn offers. Link in bio, check it out in the seasonal teas section. 🍁 👻 🍇 🍂 #theforestwitch #theforestwitchtea #teawitch #samhain #witch #witchcraft #wheeloftheyear #Halloween #witchbrew #blacktea #organictea #Wiccansabbat #wicca #Wiccan #pagan #blackberryhazelnut (at Town of Hanover)

Baked my annual barmbrack for Samhain! This dense fruit bread, flavored with strong tea and pumpkin pie spice (mixed spice), originates in Ireland and is a traditional Halloween cake there. This recipe comes from the YouTube channel OReillys Recipes, hosted by two lovely Irish gentlemen, Lorcan O’Toole and Tony O’Reilly, so you know it’s authentic! I like to eat it for breakfast with coffee or in the afternoon with a nice cup of tea. Whenever you enjoy it and with whichever beverage, be sure to have your slice with lots of butter on it! Happy spooky season, everyone! Irish Barmbrack 2 cups (1 lb., 450g) mixed dried fruit (I used a combination of cranberries and dark and golden raisins) 1 cup (1/2 pint) tea, strong, made with 2-3teabags (I used Irish Breakfast tea) 2 1/4 cups (10 oz., 275-280g) all-purpose flour 1 T. baking powder 1/2 t. salt 1 1/4 cups (250g) brown sugar 2 eggs 1 t. pumpkin pie spice (mixed spice for my European friends) 1/2 t. baking soda Soak the fruit in the tea overnight. Preheat the oven to 355°F (180°C). Butter a 9-inch (22 cm) springform pan or a loaf pan and line it with parchment paper. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt and set aside. In a mixing bowl, with a wooden spoon, combine the fruit, brown sugar, eggs, and pumpkin pie spice. Add the flour and baking soda and mix well until a dough forms. The dough, while thick, should drop off easily when you lift and turn over your spoon. If the dough seems too thick, just add a splash of milk to it. Pour the dough into your prepared pan. If baking as a round cake, bake for 30-40 minutes, if baking as a loaf, bake for about an hour, but either way, bake until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Let the barmbrack cool, remove it from the pan and transfer it onto a serving plate. Slice, serving with generous amounts of butter and good cups of coffee or tea. #FeedingCreatively #SpookySeason #HomemadeHalloweenTreats #SamhainSweets #KitchenWitch #Wicca #WiccanSabbats #Samhain #CelticPaganism #CelticHolidays #IrishBaking #Barmbrack #IrishTeaCake #OReillysRecipes #LorcanOToole #TonyOReilly https://www.instagram.com/p/CkXHQotrghC/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Happy Imbolc to my Wiccans & Pagans who’ve been celebrating! If you didn’t know, it’s one of the eight solar Wiccan Sabbats. It’s also known as St. Brigid’s day, a Gaelic festival marking the beginning of spring & halfway point between the Winter Solstice + the Spring Equinox. 🌞🌈🍀🌺🍀🌈🌞 I personally don’t observe it, as I’m not a Wiccan & my personal faith is more influenced by Kabbalah than anything else, but to all my Wiccan brothers & sisters who do celebrate it, I wish you many Springtime Blessings! 😘💖🙏 ⛤☉🌷 🌹🌿 🌼☘️ 🌸🌱🐣🌛🌝 🌜
P.S: I could NOT resist using the amazing preggers Bey photo, I just thought it was so damn appropriate, goddess-y & perfectly timed for this holiday as it’s very often depicted by a pregnant woman surrounded by growing nature & flowers!

Happy Halloween and blessed Samhain! One of the treats I made for the holiday are these, soul cakes, the original goodie people would go house to house asking for, This recipe comes from one of my favorite YouTube channels, Tasting History with Max Miller, and was recreated from a 17th century recipe. Flavored with nutmeg, cloves, and saffron and filled with dried fruit (I used cherries), these would make a lovely historical sweet for yourself or left out for your ancestors. Depending on how old some of them are who visit tonight, it might "take them back" to when they were living! :) For the recipe, follow this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpWdzXJObZ0 #Halloween #HomemadeHalloweenTreats #SpookySeason #SamhainSweets #Wicca #WiccanSabbats #WheelOfTheYear #Samhain #CelticPaganism #CelticFestivals #TastingHistoryWithMaxMiller #SoulCakes https://www.instagram.com/p/CkZe5o9vrVC/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
