Doctor who fans are so stupid I knew this but god it’s so hard to see.
#looking at posts about an episode that I think is gonna stay a favorite for the new stuff#and it’s very clear that there aren’t good guys or bad guys#like there’s evil coming from both sides but it’s different evil#except one person who is evil but even then it’s complicated#but they’re posting abt how they like the monsters bc they kill rich 20somethings#they suck but they don’t need to die just because their families are rich#it’s so very tumblr politics#it’s so nasty#it’s so stupid#the whole point of doctor who is that everyone matters! even the assholes#whyyy do you think people should die for being racist#that’s crazy! also you guys are the ones calling it racism#I mean it is but it’s also classism and cultural ethnocentrism#so you’re misunderstanding the written interaction. but whether you understood it or not it’s crazy to say they deserved death over it#or to celebrate the deaths! it’s just characters but it’s indexical of this stupid mindset of someone doing something cancelable -#and that negates the value of their life#it’s also such a stupidly online take to come out of the episode about how social media is bad.#you are doing the echo chamber! right now!#0 media literacy but what can I expect
