The Royal Archives To wield a sword

Welcome fellow curious minds this is your majesty the Queen speaking, today and only for today the Royal Archives will be open to guest of all sort.

I always have adored to over analize everything and everyone from flms to books, to games such as these I have only recently discovered.

I absolutely love to explore characters and plot alike, during one of this journeys I happened to discover something, paying close attention to their poses, I noticed every prince wield the sword in a single distinctive manner that I find quite interesting to see as it reveal us something about their inner sides. 🧐

Luke

Luke is the only one who wield his long and heavy sword with both hands.

This gesture, his pose, reveal he was being driven by heart, his grip is strong and his gaze fierce the gesture is overall a bit more rough and uncouthed than all the other princes, after all he was born and raised a commoner arriving to the castle only much later, not belonging nor desiring to fit in a role he not only did not want but lowkey despise too, his emotions are raw having the best of him to the point he lose control of himsef when lead by rage.

Chevalier

Chevalier on the contrary along the other princes wield his sword with only one hand.

This gesture, his pose, reveal he was being driven by mind, his grip is strong and his gaze cold and calculating, seizing down his opponents in the palace like on the battlefield, in control of the situation lead by logical reasons.

Difference

The key difference between these two gestures and mindset is perfectly summarized in this phrase.

Every prince has only one way to wield their swords except Keith, who, not so casually, happen to be have two sides who act and think independently from one another thus explaining a difference in the way he held his swords based on which side is in control when he was fighting.

Dark Keith

Dark Keith wield it with one hand, driven by his scheming mind he knows what he is doing and why, use his sword with the intent to attack his enemies before they could do it.

Kind Keith

Kind Keith wield it with both hands, driven by his kind heart, he knows what he has to do but is reluctant to do it, but he won't give up, use his sword to protect those he cares about, to defend both them and himself.

*the phone rings three times before the brunette boy on the other side of the state finally answers*

"hello?" his voice is slightly husky, almost tired sounding.

you let out a short sigh, unaware you were holding your breath and speak out a small "hi matt" with a wide smile on your face.

"y/n what are you doing awake, it's like what?" there was a small pause that posed as him thinking "almost midnight?" he finished.

you don't answer for a second due to you lifting your phone from your ear, checking the time that reads *11:56*

"oh" is all you can muster up for a second, before remembering where matt is. "wait... but matt it's literally 3 AM in Boston, why are 𝘺𝘰𝘶 awake?" you ask with a bit of sass laced throughout your words.

you can almost see the cocky expression on the boy's face when he retorts, bearing a nearly equal amount of sass within his speech "uh I'm allowed to be, you on the other hand, are not."

your face twists up with confusion, why would I not be allowed to be up? "what are you on about? why can't I be up?" you reply.

"you have work tomorrow kid" he responds in a matter-of-faclty kind of way that makes you laugh in realization. "OH! -- oh yeah!" you say between little giggles.

"it's just so boring without you guys here!" you reply to yourself. "I've been stuck in my house cleaning for christ sake" you finish, dragging out the vowels in your seventh spoken word.

matt just laughs in response, this causes you to smile to yourself before spitting out a quick "what!" all you hear from the other end of the call is a slight rustling, then footsteps, then a door opening?

you sit and wait for him to respond, a bit confused, but all confusion is wiped from your mind when matt mumbles a sentence, "say hi to y/n nick"

you sit up in your bed excited to hear from another one of your favorite boys. "hi y/n/n!" Nick almost immediately responds before a low "matt just give me phone" matt must've complied because now you were hearing nicks voice instead of the previous boys.

"hi Nick! wha'dya doing?" You say giddy to hear from him. he laughs and you hear a bit of rustling before he replied, "oh nothing right now, but can I tell you about what we did earlier?" he sounded just as equally excited to talk to you.

you both went on and on about the Boston aquarium, and the penguins and Matt's "stupid turtle hat" Nick said. all for about fifteen minutes before you heard nicks door being swung open, and loud running feet came towards nicks direction.

you heard a bit of incoherent mumbling before Nick sighed and said "y/n, Chris says it's his turn to talk to you, so I gotta go. but I'll definitely text you later okay?" you bid him goodbye and Chris started up a new conversation about his annoyance with fortnite at the moment. "the star wars packs have been in the item shop for I dont even know how long, like forever I guess. but I can't get the fucking Don Toliver emote anymore? this shits crazy."

you listened to him rant about this season and how it's apparently "trash" (?) for about 20 minutes before he asks "do you want matt back? he came in here wanting to know if u wanted to talk to him yet"

you smiled at the somewhat cute gesture and after a few seconds of thinking you replied back with a "if your done talking shit about this game then yeah, pass me back please" Chris just laughed and you heard a "here" it sounded kind of far away as if he had the phone streched with his arm, handing it back to matt.

"okay I'm back now, hope your not bored anymore 'cuz you need to go to sleep now." Matt's voice seeped through your speakers in your phone as he spoke. all you did was groan and flop back on your bed, you're sure he heard it because he laughed and said "c'mon y/n get to bed, it's so late."

"Matt I'll be fine just-" you were cut off by Matt's voice, once again, telling you to go to sleep. once you finally let up and told him you'd go to bed he responded with a proud "good, you're gonna thank me in the morning I promise"

you both bid your good nights, and the phone was handed to both of the two other triplets for a few seconds each to also wish each other goodnight.

after the call ended you were feeling happier than you have the whole week they'd been in Boston. You got yourself ready for bed, brushing your teeth, washing your face, and changing into more sleep appropriate attire before crawling back into the same sheets you've been tirelessly tossing around in for days, finally falling asleep, happy and content.

I wonder what Joel would be like with someone’s who’s AuDHD 🧐…

I just want to say this is such a thoughtful question. I actually have a best friend who has AuADHD. Now, I am neurodivergent myself and I have some aspects of autism too, but not ADHD, so you could say me and my best friend are complete opposites. Yet, despite this, we share a lot of similarities in our personalities. We're both introverted, socially awkward, very sensitive, emotionally aware, and empathy is extremely strong in us. And I think that's why we were able to connect so well as friends even though she's sometimes too chaotic for me and I'm too calm for her.

When it comes to Joel's hypothetical romantic partner having AuADHD, it's likely he does not share this condition himself. His potential reaction and ability to coexist with a partner with it would likely be heavily influenced by both his own personality as well as his partner's personality. If Joel and his partner had similar personality traits and behaviors, it's probable that living and being in a relationship with someone with AuADHD would not pose serious challenges or difficulties for Joel to adapt to. However, if there were stark differences between their personalities and how they approach life, relationships and communication, then it may prove somewhat more challenging for Joel to navigate. Not necessarily in a bad or catastrophic way, but more so in the sense that there would need to be a period of understanding, accommodation and finding ways to make the relationship work despite the differences in brain function and behaviors. Joel's quiet and stoic nature would likely be challenged if his partner would be the exact opposite of himself. The constant energy, impulsivity, and unpredictability of ADHD can be a lot for an introverted personality like him to handle at times. He would probably need to make a conscious effort to be extra patient, understanding, and open-minded about the unique qualities of ADHD. This would require stepping out of his comfort zone as a reserved character who prefers a more measured pace of life. Despite the challenges, Joel would likely be very supportive and accepting of his partner. He cares deeply about the ones he loves and wants the best for them. Even if it stretched him as a person, he would try to be accommodating in small ways, like being more flexible with plans or giving gentle reminders when needed. Joel's steady presence could actually be beneficial for someone with AuADHD, providing a calming influence and sense of stability. His loyalty and reliability would be an anchor that his partner could count on. It might take some time for Joel to fully adjust and find a rhythm that works for both of them. What was the motivation behind filming this kitchen scene in the first place? 🧐 Dissecting the reasoning behind this might help in concluding *why* JK was there.

The previous scenes of Jimin at his house were apparently filmed via self cam. Jimin setting up a camera and letting it roll. We can see this fixed camera angle when he's lounging on the couch burrowed under the covers, when he's doing laundry ect.

This is the first time that there is a camera person present while filming. This camera person might have been the one to set up the camera for Jimin in the aforementioned scenes, but that person is notably absent when the camera is rolling, unlike in this scene with JK.

Deciding to film after a concert is a very conscious choice. It reminds us of a live after concerts where the guys get to eat and hang out and reflect. In this case, it's almost like a Welive where JK drops by unannounced. The exception is that there's a staff/camera person present who, coincidentally, is also allowed to drink? While working? (We can see Jimin put 3 bottles of soju in the freezer..we can guess it's one for each person attending.) Is this person a manager maybe, or a close friend of Jimin’s? In any case, this person is already filming Jimin, and they even take a very cute close-up of Jimin’s feet.

This shot is so interesting! The camera person would have to have seen that detail, thought it was cute, and asked Jimin to hold/resume that pose so they could get on the floor and film it. Cute. But also, DIRECTED. A very documentary mise en scene where the action of the subject has been noticed and repeated to tell the story of the setting. This tells me this person is part of the actual documentary crew. l and not some random friend or manager. This person has an actual eye for visual storytelling. This makes the whole scene inside the house intentional. They would have to have thought out what they were going to film/talk about, in order to decide to send a person over there to film it. Could Jimin have decided beforehand to reveal his depression? Is this sensitive subject, perhaps the reason why JK is present? So Jimin would feel comfortable while talking about it?

Jungkook dissappears from the frame at a certain point. Another notable action. Why? Why does he stand offscreen but is still commenting on what Jimin is saying? Has Jungkook been directing this whole scene from the beginning?? Is thst why Jungkook walking inside feels so odd? Because he was there all along, but they went back to film his entrance?Those were my two delusional braincells talking.

It feels conspiratorial. In the way the pre-taping of the bon voyage's felt conspiratorial. Two guys getting together with a mini camera crew to discuss the planning of a trip! Where they talk about the plans to travel to Breweries, to plan where they'll sleep, why it isn't weird if they sleep in the same bed! How it'll be the last activity before MS! Which they'll tackle through the buddy system!

Y'all...If this scene comes back as the launching off point of MinKookie's travel vlog Mukbang show, well then, I'll retroactively be able to confirm that the spirit of Sugastradamus has entered my body!

I think speculating if JK was 'that friend' is interesting, but that might never be confirmed. HOWEVER. Jimin has, in the past, spoken about their shared adventures and taken the mantle of 'storyteller' while JK has sat by, silently drinking in Jimin. The first retelling of The Rainy Day Story™️ is just like this scene. Jimin, touching JK, while talking about a moment that happened between them. So, evidence does suggest JK could have been that friend.

That being said, to me, this whole addition to the documentary, singling out the bond between jikook, is the most revealing aspect. And that's why I think this might be the starting point of the travel show. 💜💛

I didn't want to dwell on this in the documentary posts but I know you guys will indulge me as I ramble a little bit.

I want to elaborate on some thoughts I had while watching the second half of Episode 7 when Jungkook went over to Jimin's.

I watched it several times. I made sure to watch it once with a very critical and skeptical eye to keep myself from straying too far...nothing serious but possibly delulu...

This part of the documentary inside Jimin's apartment was filmed on March 13, 2022 following the last PTD Seoul concert.

This was BEFORE PTD Las Vegas where Jimin has told us he talked to the members about his troubles and that's when he embarked on writing the songs that would end up on his album FACE which was released A YEAR after this interview.

It seems Jimin answers his phone in the car after the concert. Tells whoever to get ready and come over and asks what kind of chicken to order. The documentary camera person is already in the car with Jimin... who is he speaking to on the phone? When we eventually see Jungkook coming over later on in this episode, it's natural to assume he was speaking to Jungkook on the phone, who was probably in another car on his way home to his own apartment after the concert, or perhaps already home since his apartment is much closer to Jamsil Olympic Stadium where PTD Seoul was held.

Inside Jimin's residence, he talks about what he does there, basically not a whole lot: eats, sleeps, drinks, has friends over, plays on the computer, and from what we've seen since, he's not much of a decorator.

He wonders if he's revealed too much. I think this was a legitimate question for him, since idols typically do not divulge this sort of thing to the fans. It's plausible to me that Jimin has to unlearn all these preconceived ideas he's had about being an idol in order to forge ahead.

Delivery fried chicken arrives and he runs to get it and runs back to the dining table. Literally runs. The door chimes as it closes. I do love watching him eat. He surely loves his food. A man after my heart.

He talks about how it naturally came about that they needed to have their own spaces. They were maturing young men, they needed their own places even though they'd lived together for so many years. He said their place in Gangnam was so small they put up temporary walls. I believe he was speaking about the house that is now a cafe, Hyuga? He says it was scary living on his own, it was so quiet.

When Jungkook arrives, the door chime sound we hear was different from what it sounded like when Jimin went to the door to get the delivery chicken.

From this footage, we can't know if Jungkook punched in the code and let himself in. Maybe he did, but this footage does not show that. Unless someone is familiar with how that particular door chime sounds when it is unlocked, when it is locked, when it opens and when it closes, we can't know what that chime meant.

We see Jungkook after he's already inside the apartment. He was followed by a camera person. I am certain the camera-person does not have Jimin's apartment's door code. Make of that what you will...perhaps Jungkook came alone and they re-enacted him entering once he got there because it'd be weird if he was just there all of a sudden... we can't know.

Incidentally (fun fact) this is the same jacket Jungkook wore in the video of receiving the President's Award during his university graduation earlier that month (Mar. 2, 2022)... yes, Jeon Jungkook is a university graduate too. He wore a jacket with "QUIT YOUR JOB" across the back of it, to accept a graduation award.... 💀

Anyway back to my delulu...

Jimin and Jungkook are chatting at the table while eating and drinking and get on the topic of their sleeping habits when Jungkook says normally he would take a bath, drink a couple beers and go to sleep and even adds now he goes to sleep earlier. Such a grown up.

Jimin says he falls asleep at 1 a.m. so he must be getting old but it doesn't matter if he falls asleep at 1 a.m. or 6-7 a.m., he sleeps until 4 o'clock in the afternoon.

Jungkook says he decided not to live like that anymore... this the man who in early 2023 was staying up all night to do live broadcasts with us from his living room and waking up his neighbors belting out Unholy, etc... such a grown up.

And then Jungkook says 'oops, I sounded like Yoongi just then, never mind, live how what you want' and whoever that is off-camera wheezing... HAHAHAHAHAHA. Anyway. Jimin and Tae sometimes act similarly with each other but it is more role play and nothing like the long-running inside joke Jimin and Jungkook do all the time.

The vibe between them was identical to the one when they were sitting at the dining table that first night of In The Soop 2.

As episode 7 goes on, they show Jimin and Jungkook again, Jungkook is chopping mushrooms and Jimin says "You are doing so well on your own" and "Be careful" and the translation says Jungkook said "okay" but it sounds more to me like a "ayyy stop nagging" sound he made.

Jimin runs behind Jungkook again. Why does Jimin run so much? He's like a nervous, excited little mouse.

Ok, but this is the part that made me need to pause and rewind and write this long-ass post:

Jimin tells us that a friend of his helped him realize he needed to explore the possibility he was depressed.

He recounts the story as they were at Jimin's apartment drinking and they had a small argument. The next morning Jimin wakes up, has totally forgotten the argument and goes over to the friend's to help begin moving. They apologized to each other and the friend came over again that night and the friend said "I think you are severely depressed. You act like you aren't, but you've been acting strange. If you're having a hard time, tell me." Jimin said he didn't think he was having a hard time and the friend told Jimin to take some time to think about it. Jimin says a lot changed after that.

This moment when Jimin is retelling this story, "yet you act like you aren't, but you've been acting strange. If you're having a hard time, tell me." Jimin reaches over and actually touches Jungkook. Look at the way they are looking at each other?

The way Jungkook sat there, looking straight at Jimin while Jimin recounted that conversation/day/moment, chewing on his bottom lip as is his habit, Jungkook nodding during certain points that Jimin was retelling... very very brief moments where body language reveals a lot.

Maybe the "friend" Jimin was supposed to help move, the one who told Jimin he seemed severely depressed... was Jungkook?

They have not shown this type of closeness amongst the other members in this entire documentary. And here is Jungkook sitting in Jimin's home, while Jimin tells us this very intimate detail about himself.

If Jungkook was the one... it's plausible, the one who came over to drink, just like they were doing this evening... the one who was moving and Jimin was going to help him. The one who he can look in the eyes and recount this story and his friend can look him straight back in the eye and nod in agreement.

Why retell this story with Jungkook sitting next to him? There were other moments when we know Jungkook is there, he could have been off camera while Jimin told the staff about this intimate moment with his friend. No. He said it while they sat next to each other looking at each other.

It's possible. If not, it seems possible that Jungkook has already heard this story.

Jimin shares more than we've ever heard from him: that he falls into a labyrinth the moment he starts to ponder about what happiness is. He says of course their work and many other things require attention to detail but it's ok if there is vagueness (or imperfection) too. If you get too caught up in the meaning of things (in the importance of things), you feel like you have to risk it all to accomplish them and its ok to let some of it go, enjoy the simplicity of things and not get emotional over everything ... this sounds like Jimin has matured and has tried to push away perfectionism.

He believes he is in a very healthy place mentally right now (at the time of that interview, March 13, 2022) but can't say the same about his body, but he wants to stay healthy as he grows older together with the fans. And Jungkook is still there, but off camera.

This interview was almost two years ago. And now their first solo career endeavors have been accomplished and these two are doing their military obligation together. They've come a long way. We will see them again next year. It won't be as long as it feels.

Did you notice that Sonic wasn't so angry at the fact that Amy was using Birdie for power as he was angry that her mechanicalization required her to do so? He was mad that Eggman did that to her, not the fact that she was doing that to Birdie.

If you look at a previous scene, in which the crystal shatters, right before Amy and Sonic have their interaction, Amy is seen freeing birds from a badnik. This is part of her characterization, she's kind to animals. In the scene where Sonic is travelling to this new world, memories of his friends and everything they've said to him are played back. Something Amy says is "The forest is the most beautiful place on earth." Another thing characterizing her as a nature lover. So when sonic sees that she's being so cruel to animals, it makes him even angrier at Eggman for creating this world.

I’ve known about this lightsaber theory for a while (and I know Vincent Ven****$#% stole it) but like no one’s been able to tell it and back it up with real evidence as you. I am officially amazed and shocked. If this is the route they’re taking... it is good story-telling. And well concealed too! Plus bonus with the Kenobi lineage, and I thought it suspicious the off. SW twitter brought up Obi’s lightsaber after all these years... like why pose that question all of a sudden if not for a future story element? 🧐🤯

PS. How ironic would it be of Kylo to say “that lightsaber, it belongs to me” which is then used by Rey against him, if he’s harbouring Obi-wan’s lightsaber which according to this rightfully belongs to Rey. lmao

The hidden lightsaber and how Lucasfilm have successfully concealed the answer to Rey’s lineage.

The vision sequence in TFA is interesting to say the least, in particular the scene in the rain where Kylo Ren surrounded by what seems to be dead bodies. He seems to murder someone and then suddenly snaps his head round and walks towards Rey.

To say this scene is shrouded in mystery is an understatement. From day one we have had confusing accounts from the production about what is going on due to disconnected visuals and mixed messages about the following:

1.            The person stabbed by Kylo Ren.

2.            Bodies or rocks?

3.            Past or future?

What if I was to say that something which makes it all make sense was hidden from the final version of the film?

It wasn’t always hidden, folks. All you have to do is look at the trailer for  The Force Awakens to see it. And let me tell you this, by simply hiding this lightsaber from view, Lucasfilm did a fantastic job of throwing us all off of the scent.

It took me 8 months to realise the significance of this moment and the impact the removal of that saber has caused (mass confusion. Mission accomplished.)

If you piece together the clips from the trailer and the actual film, it flows seamlessly as what appears to be the following:

1.            Kylo Ren stabbing someone in the back

2.            Rey clambers up to witness something unfold

3.            Kylo Ren has a lightsaber in his left hand as well as his own in his right

4.            Kylo Ren waits for something to happen

5.            Kylo Ren gets a vision of Rey through the saber he’s holding

6.            Kylo Ren sees Rey masked and as a small girl?

Lets take a look at the sequence as a whole:

People, including me thought nothing of this lightsaber because it was hidden from TFA.

However, upon second inspection, I think that they haven’t removed it from the scene and his hands, They have just hidden the fine details by very cleverly using an establishing shot. Then they use a mid close up to hide his hands from frame.

After doing some digging and research, I feel that the that lightsaber tells you the possible time frame of the scene you are watching, it tells you who Kylo is killing and WHY. Whats more, it tells you exactly who Rey is.

But hey this is just my opinion, it could still be unimportant and just my head canon, but if you are interested in why I think this saber is the answer to lots of things, read on:

1.            Who does Kylo Ren stab?

According to the credits he stabs a Knight of Ren, this led many to believe that this was the future and Kylo Ren was saving Rey due to the way she falls. However, I think thats a visual misdirect and deliberate mistake of a credit because:

Pablo Hidalgo has shed some interesting light on this scene on several occasions.. He once called the man who was stabbed a “clan leader”. In another tweet he states that Kylo ren wiped out an entire village with the Knights of Ren in this scene:

To back this up is a recent image from the comics, confirming that those are bodies, not rocks.

Heres an incredibly interesting spoiler from www.spoiledmilk.com from way back in 2015. Keep in mind that this leaked before TFA was released:

“Flashback: Exterior Night Battlefield – Fierce battle! Sword is being used by the CLAN against THE SEVEN.”

So yes, it seems like the KOR and Ren just murdered an entire clan of people. For a lightsaber. But why?

In The Force Awakens, its implied that Kylo has been searching for Anakins saber “That lightsaber, it belongs to me!”

Back to the spoiled milk spoiler, this is from a version of the script/early scripts where Anakin’s lightsaber was called “the sword” a nice code name.In this script you find out that fell into the possesion of Ben Solo and it was then stolen by Maz. In other early versions of scripts Kylo is seen to be looting with the KOR/hunting relics/anakins saber. Rian Johnson recently said that Raiders of the Lost Arc is a big inspiration for episode 8. Is all this something which has been removed from The Force Awakens and we will now see it in Episode 8?

So a clan gets wiped out for Anakins saber…. and let me just ask you this, does the saber ren is holding look like Anakins lightsaber?, just look at it:

That does not look like Anakins saber to me. There are only really two famous sabers this could be:

Luke’s or Obi Wan Kenobi’s

Obi Wan’s left, Luke’s right

So, Is this an upcoming twist? In the past, Kylo gets a tip off that a clan is holding an Ancient blue saber? Upon killing them all he discovers that it is not Anakins saber, but in fact another legendary saber, one which shows him none other than Rey.

Does rey witnesses the moment Kylo Ren murders a clan for a saber and then does she witness the moment he a vision of her through the saber?

Lukes? I doubt it for 3 reasons.

1.            Luke has his green saber on Ach To, and according to new spoilers (where someone witnessed filming), the Knights of Ren arrive and get slaughtered by him with his green saber

2.            Lukes saber was never lost on screen like Anakins and Obi Wans. Why would a clan have Lukes saber? Also, why would Kylo Ren give it to Luke before Luke goes to Ach To after Kylo has fallen to the dark side?

3.            There is no clan on Ach To, no extras spotted on set, no people on the island as Rey walks to Luke, Luke being stranded on the island would suggest, no clan and no means for transportation. The place clearly looks like a ruin when Rey arrives. This location with the clan cant be Ach To.

New random saber? If so, why hide it? No one would be able to connect who it belonged to and it would not give away who she is if it was a random object.

That only really leaves one other strong possibility; Obi Wan Kenobi’s saber. His saber was lost on screen and recently Official Disney twitter asked us all to think about what happened to that saber, more specifically, what Darth Vader did with it:

In The Force Awakens it is implied that Ren has seen Rey before.  I think sees masked Rey through a lightsaber (just like she sees masked Kylo) and then he sees Rey as a girl getting abandoned on a sand planet (just like in the novel when rey saw a small boy (*cough* ben *cough*.) This would explain his massive over reaction to the mention of a girl on a sand planet (Jakku).

“WHAT GIRL!?”

Now, is Obi Wan’s saber about to make a comeback on screen? There’s one very telling thing about the way Pablo Hidalgo seems answers questions about upcoming things that may be coming into Canon. Recently, when asked about Thrawn (before he was brought into canon) he said:

Yea like, the thing about “Gods and Monsters” is that it’s really about a lonely guy (Whale) who regrets not finding real companionship and love because he’s somewhat unexpectedly looking at the end of his life. You could also make some “he’s trapped in his own body” comparisons since this is because he’s had a series of strokes. He befriends this seemingly straight man (Boone) and they have a very boundary-pushing relationship while Whale claims to just want to be friends (he doesn’t, but he fears rejection), and Boone basically keeps saying he’s straight while doing super-straight stuff like getting pissed off when Whale recounts his past sexual exploits (Lolol “what did you do with the Cartwright twins?” Haha. JK that’s crack. Or is it?!) and posing nude so Whale can paint him. 🤔 anyway whale eventually goes out on a limb and blatantly hits on him, Boone freaks out and it ends up in Whale killing himself.

I would fully expect this ending to be subverted in the same way Romeo and Juliet and the “near miss” sacrifice (Cas) then suicide (Dean) was.

I mean why even use this title if you aren’t intending to use the themes? Whale is an openly homosexual man, in a time when even Hollywood was closeted. Importantly, he has always known who HE IS, he’s just done a poor job of building himself the life he truly wants, choosing hook up after hook up, instead of emotionally putting himself out there, and pouring his passion into his life’s work (The “Frankenstein” movies) and not nurturing his personal life. Hmmmm. 🧐🧐🧐
