Bad Apple Wars

Summary:

After a sudden car accident on her first day of school, the protagonist finds herself in the afterlife, standing before a strange school for lost souls. The confounded protagonist attends the school's opening ceremony. And then, suddenly—a loud blast tears through the auditorium. In the midst of the chaos, a red-haired young man appears. Without a shred of hesitation in his voice, he reaches his hand out and asks her: 'Do you want to live?'

Mika’s rambles (beware of spoilers):

Soooo, I actually finished this game a while ago, thx to Corona, and well, it was... weird? Like the concept was really interestig and intriguing, but the execution seemed... lacking at times. I mean, after finishing the game I still have no fucking idea what the deal with this stupidly obvious named school is. Is the headmaster god? What are these apples? And most of all, what the fuck are the teachers supposed to be? How did they get there, why are they doing this job and why are they all nuts?! Achem, back on track...

I did like all the side characters (even the teachers or especially them) but for the main cast well:

Alma: He started of cool but then he fell down the “dead ex girlfriend” rabbit hole and never recovered. Well, at least he got really hot in the end.

Higa: This tsundere muffin ended up becoming my favourite - which is fun cause most people seem to kinda not like him. But well, we all know Mika suffers from shit taste syndrome.

Shikishima: I really liked him and his mysterious vibe but his “good end” really pissed me off. Like, what was that!?

Satoshi: While everybody seems to live him, he bored me to death. And when he didn’t he annoyed me with studying here studying there.

White Mask: Boy, this dude. He really is tragedy the character. And while I like my man broken, I couldn’t quite warm up to him. Maybe it’s because he suddenly started liking the MC for NO REASONS. Like he’s basically hostile the whole time and then poof “MC join the bad apples. Staying with me will hurt youuu.”... Yeah, ok, what. Also I still have no clue how he died. Like he stands under a cherry tree and suddenly - oomp - dead. Welcome to NEVEAH

So yeah, my ranking would be: Higa > Shikishima > White Mask > Alma > Satoshi

That said, I really liked the art style and the aesthetic of the game. Also the music was bop. That insert/ending song. Also I lowkey ship Sunny and Yoh.

GOD LITERALLT EVERYONE’S TLKING ABOUT IT BUT RUN THIS TOWN! I just :( I didn’t want Yoongi to lose his job but if you at it a little positively (?) his work was drowning him, like I know he says he loves it and he gave his all for it, but that’s the thing, he gave everything and until now he’s realizing he can get even more than just a job (friends?? a boyfriend?? happiness????) And boy, Jin’s offer is so interestig and we should have seen it coming. +++ -tsf

++ I still think he’s gonna accept the job bc there’s really no other thing for him if Jeon is really gonna screw him over, besides, Jin is more than just the mafia yknow? like he is the mafia but there’s more than that. Still, he’s gonna accept with so wariness. OH GOD WHEN HE SNAPPED AT JK I WAS READY TO FIGHT! like I get he’s stressed and shit but man, he’s there to support you, not to make you feel even worse. ajshha Also, it hurt me that JK immediately blamed himself and recalled++ 

+ those awful comments by his dad. Which makes me wonder what his dad is gonna say to him when they meet again :/ I’m so curious about what Jungkook does on his free time, like what are his worries?? how does he feel? lonely? i mean, he’s made it pretty clear his parents don’t care abou him :// and also the fact that Jimin was so protective of him last update, about Yoongi using him and stuff. Like, has this happened before? BUT MOVING ON. THEY’RE GONNA LIVE TOGETHER!! -tsf 

God, I bet JK thought it over and over in his head, which just makes it even more clear that he’s head over heels for YG :((( And when he said “thank you for not running away” OH MY GOD?! just?!!! how many people he cares for have abandoned him? AND THEN YOONGI! Thinking that not matter what Jeon says to him, he’s not gonna leave Jungkook’s side. JUST GET MARRIED ALREADY FFS! Also, same with Taehyung and his email lmao OH GOD SORRY FOR THE LONG ESSAY -tsf

yeah like i hate that it got down to him losing his job and because he worked so hard to get to the place he is and suddenly its just… ruined but at the same time, he’s even said himself since he’s met jeongguk he’s been happier, and he hasn’t had others around him like that before and i think it’d be good if he worked with jin, jin said so himself that he saw him as a friend so it would be a nice change, he will definitely be wary, it’ll probably take him a while to get used to it but i think he’s going to be happy with the decision in the long run, well hopefully…

same.. aah but i get why, he also didn’t tell jeongguk about the picture cause he knew jeongguk would blame himself and he did; jeongguk belittling himself. yeah lately we haven’t really heard much about what goes on with jeongguk (but understandable cause of whats happening), aah im nervous about that, i can see him and his dad having a talk soon in a chapter… more angst to come i can Feel It. the overprotective jimin was cute, he just wants the best for jeongguk and doesn’t want to see him get hurt
