Headcanon: Vance is the most open about not treating Bruce like an untouchable god. The general public get mad at him for “being mean” to Bruce and fully expect Bruce himself to avoid Vance as a result. However, to the surprise of everyone (Vance especially), Bruce actually latches onto Vance more because he’s genuinely thrilled about being treated like a human being rather than arm candy or being worshipped for breathing the same air as everyone else

I mostly agree with this, but like, I believe Vance would be a bit distant at first, or would dislike Bruce at first because of how different he was compared to Vance.

Their trope is 100% “Fell first x Fell harder” Bruce fell first, but Vance sure as hell fell harder once he realized he liked Bruce.

Vance just doesn’t like Bruce’s friends or the people that go googoo eyed over Bruce, to be honest, even though Bruce doesn’t mind *that* much.

Bruce just likes Vance for who he is. :)
