"It felt so obvious now" OC Oneshot

It had started innocent enough, laughing, chilling - maybe a sitting little closer together than brand new acquaintances should be, but nothing that rang sirens.

Then danced when his favorite song came on, why not? It's his birthday and favorite song, what could a little dancing lead to?

The party was dying down, she stayed a little longer than she should have - feeling a little tipsy even though she'd only had some water. That's fine, she'll catch a ride home.

He kept getting a little too close, but that's alright, maybe he's just friendly.

She saw starting feel a little more than tipsy now, confused as to why she'd ever feel tipsy when she hadn't consumed any alcohol.

His hand was on her thigh, she asked him to remove it, he laughed her off and said that it was nothing. She believed him.

"I really should be getting home now." She had said.

"Please don't go yet." He had asked.

How could she have been so stupid as she thinks back on it. As if the signs had been nothing but obvious - heaven forbid anyone believe the best in people.

As she lays, tears still openly streaming down her face - it felt so obvious now.

He just wanted to use me.

He was done with her now, she was left broken on the couch, her face tear stained and filled with shame.

I'm nothing but dirty now. You made me dirty.

She didn't fight him off as he reached out to choke her, to get rid of the evidence that was her existence. She felt her airways cut off as he tightened his grip.

I deserve this for being so naive.

She was gone within minutes, her neck tainted with bruises from where his fingers at stole whatever air she had left.

She died feeling dirty.

He was imprisoned feeling cheated.
