The Danse Macabre: Chapter Twenty-Nine

Life or death, truth or lies, and an impossible choice….

When Amajiki is viciously attacked by an unknown villain, events begin to spiral out that could break the public's trust in heroes permanently. Heroes and students rush to find the ones responsible for the attack and stop the spread of misinformation before it's too late.

Then Todoroki goes missing…

Then Kaminari is attacked by the same villain that attacked Amajiki…

And someone's been watching everything and leaking every move the heroes make to the public. Can Aizawa rescue his students and put a stop to this…or will he be forced to choose between the kids he cares about?

(@whumpcember Day Twenty-Nine: Choked -- The final battle with Urchidna reaches its climax. Will Kirishima and Bakugou be enough to take this villain down?)

“What’s the plan, Baku-bro?” Eijiro shouted, sliding up behind him and taking a defensive position.

“What’s it look like, dumbass? We’re fighting!”

“Yeah, but—” Eijiro braced himself, calling on his Quirk to harden his body, as Urchidna charged at them. Bakugou used an explosion to launch himself into the air, up and over the villain, while Eijiro deflected his attacks.

The spines snapped off of his hardened skin, unable to penetrate his defenses. Eijiro waited for an opening, then caught the villain’s wrist with one hand and aimed a blow at his elbow with the other.

The bones didn’t break, but Urchidna swore and took a step back...right into Bakugou’s next assault. Eijiro followed him, bashing the spines away as quickly as they grew.

Urchidna spun around to take a jab at Bakugou, who easily avoided the blow and landed back at Eijiro’s side. “He can’t keep going forever, right?” Eijiro asked. “There’s gotta be a limit.”
