Hero works underground, against the wishes of the city, who would far rather deal with Villain themselves. As such, they were forced to do their own medical care, until a local doctor--Medic -- took pity on them, treating Hero’s wounds at night in their apartment.

One day, while leaving Medic’s apartment, Hero sees Villain, nearing the apartment with a broken arm.
