this is gonna sound random but can u give me a tldr on wat the hell happened w/ rory & steven & shirley (&serial killers tf?@?)?!?! i went abt on a like 14 character branch arc away from the og grognak crew and now i'm living off of tiny crumbs of gossip 😂😂

Admittedly, Posy is the main character I follow and I am 2 weeks behind on her, info about Rory, Steven, and Shirley is stuff I pick up from Posy streams, meta channels, and watching bits and pieces of FH streams when donablue watches them. If other people wanna add/correct some things go ahead lol

Tldr: Rory and Steven broke up bc they weren't being their real selves together, Steven got together w Shirley a few days later. At some point Steven got attacked by one of the serial killers that had been hunting him, stabbed and carved a smiley in his back. I think not too long after Shirley also got stabbed and had a smiley carved into her. One of the serial killers wants Rory dead after she had been trying to antagonize them and I think another is very intrigued w Posy (to maybe join them or to kill?)

Steven and Rory were having a hard couple of weeks, partially bc of the stress of the serial killers maybe targetting them bc they were together. Partially bc Shirley came back to town and,, there was a lot of miscommunication and slight trust issues (mostly bc of Steven /imo/). That then culminated in them breaking up (w Posy kinda in the background lmao), since they were saying they were pretending to be other people in order to be together and their relationship was built on lies. (Rory pretending to be a nice girl or something bc she thought that was what Steven wanted, and Steven pretending he was ok w Rory boosting cars)

Steven was very sad for a few days but ended up hanging out a lot w Shirley, and FH to be funny made Steven confess his undying love for Shirley at a tsunami, and he thought Shirley wouldn't have heard him bc of the storm. Turns out she did hear him and that's how they end up dating like 3 days after the break up. FH says that it just sped up the timeline like 3 days. Bc of Kiki having moved all his stuff into her place, Steven has been living at Shirley's place for the last while, and now they've opened a joint back account in order to save up for a house together. Steven may have been about to propose soon but through some shenanigans people started congratulating them on the engagement that hadn't happened (yet?). Which, the attention overwhelmed Shirley, which in turn made Steven think that maybe she wouldn't be open to a proposal just yet and maybe shelved the idea for now.

Rory,,, had it rough after the breakup, drank a lot and did drugs I think? She very quickly got a new boyfriend, Father (Pope?) Tanner, who had previously been acting as her therapist, and also got engaged to Flop, since he wanted to get married to escape his relationship w Sherry. She has since broken up w her boyf (bc she was in a bad place), had a friends w benefit type thing w Thomas, and now has been dating around to figure herself out, one of the people she had been going on dates w wanted to go exclusive but she didn't think they had romantic chemistry. At some point Rory went to rehab but came out early bc she heard that Steven got hurt. She's now been serial killer hunting and they now for sure want her dead.

The Smileys(?) are a group of serial killers being led by Kenneth Jesperson, who is supposed to be retired but he's not. They carve smiles into people and stab them. Either leaving #carcerworld on the scene or more recently they've gotten their victims to twat it out (They're nice in the fact that they call ems as they're leaving lmao). Kenneth specifically seems to be going after Steven and his friends, specifically Rory, that is until they broke up and Shirley being added to the list when they started dating. He had been asked to spare Steven, and he was going to, but he happened to stumble across Steven one day and took the opportunity, saying he was keeping his promise since he said he wouldn't /kill/ him. Having gotten Steven and Shirley, he is very likely he might go after Rory, Posy, and possibly other people that are close to Steven. Rory also is wanted dead by a different serial killer, Rick Locke, who is a part of Kenneth's group (he originally was targetting Posy, now not sure what's quite going on w that, they briefly kinda become friendly but then she accidentally kinda threatened Rick's gf).

Josettè had gotten up the next morning to go on her morning run after lastnight she knew she'd get along with some of the boys, but Trevor?...that was going to be a major challenge. She slipped outside and started her morning jog she made sure to have the adress in her maps just Incase she went far enough she wouldn't remeber her surroundings and how to get back still being new to the area. By the time she got back to the house and showered she made her way back downstairs she saw cole in the kitchen leaning over the island eatin a bowl of cereal "morning Jos" he mumbled in between bites she smiled grabbing a glass of orange juice leaning against the counter.

"So you ready to show all the boys up today at practice?" He asked looking over at her with a smile, he didn't see the problem with them having a girl on the team if she was as good as the scouts thought she was enough to invite her (not to mention looking at her highlights with the Silvertips) then she deserved to be there with them.

Josettè looked up confused she didn't know he knew it was supposed to be kept hush hush. "My mom told me lastnight, said I could give you a lift when I go she has to run some errands today or else she would've taken you" he said as he finished his ceral taking the bowl over to the sink and washing it out. “Gotcha I guess I'll go grab my bag then you look already to go don't want you to be late" Josettè said as she rinsed her cup out setting it on the drying rack before heading upstairs to grab her hockey bag from her room slipping her shoes on as she made her way downstairs meeting cole at the door

"So I take it the coach knows but the boys don't" She asked as they both made their way out to the car putting their bags in the trunk getting in the car "yeah they don't know, I think jack has somewhat of an idea but he hasn't said anything to anyone besides you know..me, he was the one who pointed out how good you were to some of us an then my mom told me you were coming to stay for a while. He kinda guessed something was up." Cole nodded as they drove to the arena for practice they didn't say much for a few minutes before he spoke up again "by the way how was it playing for the Silvertips? You played with uh Hart right? The Flyers new goalie?"

"Yeah, i finished school 2 years early being a foreign exchange student from France. Then got offered a spot there. I played with him for maybe a year or two before he got called up. He was really nice showed me a lot of tricks and stuff hes the only friend I really had or let get close to me since I don't have any siblings. He was so down to earth and just all around nice guy I wish some guys were that nice" Josettè rambled moving her hands about as she spoke about her time in Everett and being friends with the young Goalie. Cole glanced over at her briefly as he drove he was starting to see glimpses of the real Josettè behind the mask she put on infront of everyone he'd hoped the more they got to know eachother she'd trust him like she did Carter. "But yeah I enjoyed it in Everett didn't really want to leave but couldn't really pass this opportunity up plus with carter moving up it just felt right." She spoke as he nodded understanding what she meant.

They arrived at the arena about 10 minutes later both grabbing their respective bags from the trunk and heading inside, "so I'm supposed to meet with Coach John about everything" Josettè said as they walked down the many hallways "I'll take you too him, mom already let him know that I was bringing you in" he said with a smile stopping at a dor labeled coaches and knocked a few times.

The door soon opened and a tall man stepped out "Great! Caufield you're here and you brought Moreaux with you, I'm John Wroblewski Head Coach here. It's a pleasure to have you here I'm sure you will fit right in with the boys from some of the highlights I've seen of your playing style they could probably learn somethin from you in the long run."

Josettè nodded with a smile while he turned to Cole "alright go get changed and head on out on the ice for practice I gotta get her paperwork and stuff ready then we'll meet you boys out there." John said as Cole nodded patting Josettès shoulder before heading off to the lockeroom to get ready.

A little while later after they went over the paperwork and schedules and stuff that would go on John showed Josettè where she could change and then met him at the end of the hall when she was done making sure her braid was tight against her head and wouldnt come lose, and followed behind him as they headed out to the ice where the rest of the team was with the assistant coach.

John cleared his throat getting the boy's attention as they stopped running the drills they were doing "Boys, we usually don't do this and this is a first for us and the league, but we're bringing in a new person to the team. Guys I'd like you to meet Josettè Moreaux, I know a few of you have seen her skills and highlights from her time spent in Everett with the Silvertips. I expect all of you to treat her with the same respect you would any other teammate."

He motioned for Josettè to step onto the ice and join the boys to which she did getting a few odd looks from the ones she didn't recognize but all smiles from Cole, Alex, Spencer and Jack. Trevor on the other hand was aggravated to say the least, how could Wroblewski let this happen let alone agree to having a girl on their boys team.

They had a whole woman's team just for that reason. He huffed turning to Jack "Are we seriously letting a girl on the team? That's what womens hockeys for Jack not our development team, why aren't you objecting to this shit? She's going to ruin our whole team dynamic she's toxic and a bitch can't you see that!? Am I the only one who's seeing this?" He whisper shouted.

Jack gave Trevor an exasperated deadpanned look "Trevor we've known her not even twenty four hours. I don't think you have the resources and facts to back up those last two statements. As for the first one yes, we are letting a girl on the team. If coach didn't think this was a good idea he would've had her be on the woman's team ever think she may be too good for them and we could actually learn some things from her? Just let it go you're making an ass out of yourself. Coles parents wouldn't let her stay if she was anything like that." He pointed out as Josettè crossed her arms and looked over at Trevor

"You know, for whispering you're extremly loud, so I'm sorry? Is you're precious pride and ego scared that you'll get outshown by a girl? Because let's be honest honeybun, you don't have a lot going for you. Except that you're meh semi okay at hockey. And trust me, I've delt with guys like you back in Everett didn't end well for them obviously since I'm here and they're not. Tragic, isn't it?" She said with a smirk just as coach John started talking again

"Alright guys, were gonna start with a one v one to test and see what we need to work on, with knight in the net and then we'll go from there. First up, Caufield and Turcotte the rest take the bench." John said as Josettè and the rest made their way to take their seats on the bench to watch the two go head to head Josettè sat down on the end of the bench only to have Trevor plop down next to her without a care glancing from his two friends on the ice over to Jossettè.

"You know Josie Posie if we get paired up you're gonna lose badly. It's gonna be embarrassing and I'm going to enjoy every minute of it." He said with a smirk Josettè chuckled shaking her head keeping her eyes on the two on the ice as they went head to head "You know, I make cold calculations about difficult situations, and I do not take on anything I know I won't win. And i know I will win this. You can bet on that Sweetheart"

Trevor huffed at the mocking sweetheart nickname. "Yeah right that's like trying to use a croissant as a fucking dildo. It doesn't do the job and it makes a fucking mess. So cut the shit Posie it's not happening. You won't beat me one on one" he said rolling his eyes as John conviently called her and Trevor up next.

Josettè stood up patting his cheek "don't cry when I wipe the floor with you then, like I said...you'd eat those words Zegras." She said grabbing her stick stepping on the ice she could here him muttering behind her as they both got in position in center ice as John dropped the puck Josettè was quick to win the face off taking the puck darting around Trevor and off towards Spencer.

She could hear Trevor coming up behind her and quickly moved to the right backtracking with the puck as Trevor had turned around and was coming towards her to try and get the puck away from her, she quickly looked between him and Spencer before aiming and winding up for her signature one timer before sending the puck straight through Trevor's legs & right through Spencer's as well leading to a perfect five hole goal.

She smirked at Trevor and smiled sheepishly at Spencer "sorry had to make a point to Zegras here." Spencer waved her off he was a bit shocked himself that she was able to make that goal so easily, Trevor looked at her and over to Spencer with a questioning look as if to ask his friend if he let the goal in purposely.

Spencer who shook his head in denial making Trevor turn back to Josettè a bit shocked but quickly covering it up with an aggravated questioning tone making a bigger deal out of it than needed be "Are you kidding me? You just made that five hole goal on Spencer of all people."

"What? Like it's hard?"

Josettè said with a shrug as she heard the boys whooping and hollering as she winked at Trevor skating backwards towards the bench fist bumping a few of the guys as they all started excitedly talking about what just happened.

Trevor was puzzled to say the least. He knew he'd get her to break or so he tbought he just had to find what made her tick and hit the nail on the head with it.

So C A N O N I C A L L Y Jack is really warmed inside by all of Chowder's enthusiasm and positivity.

It starts with shootout practice, obviously.

It’s the pre-season and Jack is getting Stressed about hockey and it’s leading to greater than usual levels of bitchiness, but the thing is, Chowder is ALSO getting Stressed about hockey.

And like, Jack snaps at Chowder about not goofing around at practice and Chowder kind of snaps back about how maybe he should actually give them something challenging to do then?

And Jack is like O_O

Because Chowder is never mean.

And then instantly Chowder is like, "Sorry, sorry. I just really don't wanna fuck up our next game."

This is a crazy thing for Chowder to worry about. Jack's like, "It's never your fault when we lose. You’re fine. If I can't SHOOT then we have no chance of winning anyway. I just need to be better."

Chowder shakes his head roughly. “No no no,” he says. “You always get great shots in. Who could possibly stop you? You're a machine! If I was so good that I could block all of your shots, then I'd be totally unstoppable. It’s my dream to be that good.”

They make eye contact. At the same time, they’re both like, “Wait.”

So then they start getting up super early to go practice in the mornings when Faber is free. They start at once a week but quickly up it to bi-weekly practices (on top of the regular team practices) because they just. They really need this. Every game they play, there’s so much pressure on them to succeed. So they really need to be the best they can possibly be.

Initially, it's extremely tense because they both REALLY want to beat the other. If Chowder misses a shot, he feels terrible. If Jack can't get something past him after a couple of minutes HE feels terrible. They both absolutely cannot handle failure in this situation; everything rides on them doing a good job.

But gradually the tension melts into... a really strong feeling of mutual respect? And something else. Maybe. Who knows.

Because, like. Okay. It’s attractive when someone is competent, and they're both really talented players. Jack is, obviously, Jack. And Chris is honestly an excellent goalie. Jack is proud of him for how far he's come, and it feels AMAZING to get a goal in past him, because it's not an easy task at all.

The practices are good for both of them, and they’re both improving as players. And as they respect each other’s abilities more and more, they both stop beating themselves up when the other succeeds. It’s.... Well. It kind of feels good, sometimes? It’s like... it’s a rush. Both to beat each other and to be beaten. They both really start to look forward to the feeling.

One morning Jack makes a really beautiful shot—it’s one of those perfect goals, the kind he can just FEEL in his gut that it’s going in even before it hits the back of the net—but. Chris does something improbable on his skates and deflects the puck with the back of his glove.

In any other situation, Jack would feel like shit. Any time he's that sure and then wrong, it feels absolutely crushing.

But Jack just feels this burst of joy?

He WHOOPS aloud, high on adrenaline, and skates up to Chris, knocks his helmet off, and crushes him into a hug.

It's like a celly, almost.

Chris is like, ?!?!?!?!?!!! Because omgholyshit he did not think he would stop that puck but he DID.

And here JACK IS WRAPPING HIM UP IN HIS ARMS BECAUSE OF IT.

And okay. Jack is strong and tall and he’s practically a force of nature when he’s this excited, so Chris is just kind of along for the ride, but that’s cool, it’s pretty awesome, it’s a great hug, Jack’s a big guy, his arms are really strong, his cheST IS REALLY GOOD ACTUALLY, CHRIS NEVER KNEW BEFORE BUT NOW HE DOES BECAUSE HIS FACE IS BEING CRUSHED INTO IT???

And it's cold out on the ice but Jack’s been skating hard, so the skin of his neck is hot where it presses against Chris.

So it's just like a very good sensory experience is all, this hug.

After a minute they both kinda relax and Jack is SMILING and Chris is like, "Haha, wow, I still can't believe I did that."

And Jack says, "I can, you're amazing." in this. Very blunt-Jack manner.

They're both kind of done for the morning at this point because what just happened can't really be topped? So Chris says,  “Thank you," and "Do you wanna call it?" and "Hey, wanna get breakfast?"

Breakfast is not something they normally do.

Most mornings they just eat a protein bar on the walk to Faber (Jack always brings an extra from the box at the haus, tossing it to Chris when they meet up outside of his dorm). Protein bars are a good combo of fuel+expediency when it’s that early, and the dining hall isn’t open until 7 anyway.

Even though they’re usually done a little after 7, they still have never gotten breakfast together afterward. They’re just not really friends like that.

Or they weren’t.

Because Jack says, "That's a great idea.”

And so they go. And keep going. And… eventually they kiss and stuff.

life update!! i haven’t done all the things i’ve wanted to for the summer but the one thing i have done!! is go outside and have fun :) surprise surprise.

let’s see if i can recount:

first i went to an art exhibit of an artist i really admired and want to learn from. we met and she offered to have me come by her city and i plan to take her up on that offer. she was lovely :)

Dominique had her 21st birthday at a korean karaoke place that had a 70s disco theme and we all came looking dressed doywn to the boots. i had many many shots of patron, did the choreography go deja vu, the. i went back to her place and smoked and had a cup of a fruity gin cocktail. plus i wore nip slips!

me and dom went to see the moma for my first time and had cute moment.

then me and lauren went to astoria queens and got food and got lost. we biked at the park on the riverside.

went to far rock away beach with lauren her girlfriend and luke, who proceeded to tell me he had a crush on me right before i THOUGT i was gonna fly out the next day but i ended up just being packed early.

then i came home

i hung out with charise and her friends( proceeded to argue with 30 year olds about gender roles)

went for a drive with tajh

had a lunch with my family

went to kaylins graduation party

i went to kelly’s house with charise to swim and drink and i slept over and we watched cruella and at hibachi how random lol

got my hair done and stowed away to charlotte with tajh

tajh-imani sleep over!! we went thrift shopping and ate at a heathy veganish place and got salmon. and then we went to a park to walk and skate and other random things. i definitely was high 3 nights in a row and i ate jack in the box the last night which 😭 was a dream fulfilled that i didn’t know i had lmfao.

then i went to meet morgan and taja at a hotel for her birthday. we drank wine on the rooftop and ate food and smoked again( i can’t help if all my friends are potheads) and later we went to a really good korean food spot

me and morgan went to the pool for a little bit. went to an international food store and tried soju for the first time while watching a cute movie.

then i crashed tajh’s date with his mother and her boyfriend so i could go play top golf. i whooped his ass twice, but we were having so much fun we decided to go to this place called frankies and play games and ride rides. my probably favorite thing to do.

then i helped my twitter friend bennett’s creative direct a photo shoot and take behind the scenes footage cause i’m just that damn cool. he was really fun to talk to and so we’re his friends.. i hope we become friends some day. okay

i had a very black juneteenth with jalyn in which i had some very good mixed drinks. we went to this restaurant where they played loud as music but it was a vibe cause i missed that part of home. I met her dog again too, oreo, and i laid the foundation to make her love mee.

i had a day where i talked to charise for hours about anything and nothing at all. oh! and we watched a kdrama and she liked it like i knew she would.

then i went over to kelly’s i met her new puppy posie who is so sweet. we sat in the hot tub and had rants and confessionals, and then we took a salsa fitness class drunk, only to finish out and dance to 80s music for another 2 hours. before watching our old dance videos and going to bed.

i got a car!! had a father’s day dinner with my dad( i forgot we also did bowling the week before)

then i went back to nyc. (first class ooo)

the second day back we went to coney island to ride rides and play games and i thought several times that this might be the day that i fall and die or loose my slide but it was worth it in the end cause i got fried oreos.

then my friend mac visited and we got tipsy and got tacos, and then went searching for a bar in which we proceeded to sneak in… twice. i got free drinks using my proverbial pussy power

the next night we did it again! new club, mcdonald’s instead of tacos and i made a lot more friends from connecticut this night. one who even lives near by. and i got more free drinks so… there’s that lol.
