Day 1: Tapiz 2014 Rosé Malbec

WELCOME TO ROSÉ WEEK! Brought to you by Central Market's Buy-6-Get-20%-Off Rosé Sale! KL: this wine is my JAM. It's summertime which means it's 100+ degrees which means lounging by the pool like a wealthy housewife which means ROSÉ! Recently I have dipped my toes into the cool, frothy pool that is Real Housewives and if there's one thing I've learned, it's that you've got to WHOOP IT UP! Piling all of those deliciously pink wines into our cart this afternoon felt a lot like whooping it up to me. But, like the housewives of _______ (I have no idea where they are from... They are always going on trips... It's unclear), it's important to maintain at least the ILLUSION of sophistication. Did I say sophistication? I meant wealth. This Malbec Rosé seemed like the perfect compromise of trash and class. Put a few ice cubes in your glass and you could totally whoop it up by the pool. BUT, real talk? This rosé is so big and fruity and when we first poured a glass it actually cleared my sinuses a little. It's not fucking around. It's big. Like Ang. D: this tastes like hella berries. Hmm. Not Halle Berry...oh man I have no idea how to spell her name. I'd look it up but the router is full of some weird fluid so we don't have Internet. Anyway. Lots of berries. A vehicle for berries, I would call it. I think I like dryer rosés, but this is pretty dope too. Oddly, I think I liked it less as it breathed. Fruitier. But still good? KL: I agree. I liked it better before it opened up. It should never have come out of its shell... I liked it better as an awkward adolescent of a pour. Before it got adorable and popular. God. This post is exhausting. I hope the rest of rosé week is more exciting. I hereby vow to whoop it up a notch.
