I got an idea to draw the 'Apeshit' meme with my Mage of Rage troll, Whobie! I find it funny that Mages of Rage aren't particularly useful claspects outside of being a therapist. Whobie is nk exception, though I'm afraid, their favorite part of 'helping' friends is by giving them an outlet to get mad without repercussions. Here's the blurb I wrote of them for my mini Rage classpect analysis:

Don't mind me getting a bit personal as I try to describe my thoughts on my Classpect, lol. With how apt Mages of Rage are in sensing negativity, they are able to distinguish who is trustworthy and who isn't, essentially being able to sniff out intent. They have the most potential to be the group therapists. They understand all aspects of Rage, both the good and the bad, and treat it with compassion. They can understand anyone's troubles and be the perfect person to come to for help on what should be fair and how to deal with conflict. On the other hand, the classpect is also stubborn, and when their advice isn't taken, they can take it as a personal affront as their views on an injustice are unbreakable.

I used the opportunity to try using the Godtier colors by @coffeecats900!

(Pale) Gamzee x Loner Troll Oc (Whobie Adruru)

Ok, so this was born from my somewhat reminiscing how originally Whobie was gonna be friends with Gamzee and Tavros, like them being a unit, and how I ended up having different stuff for Tavros instead but nothing for Gamzee cuz I lost interest. Idk, but I started considering what it’d even look like to have anything with Gamzee and Whobie and what I came up with was a somewhat continuation for this post. Gamzee was one of the only trolls that was super chill with Whobie, even vibing with their special brand of awkward and never making fun of em for their spazzes. As a matter of fact, he could have helped em with some anxiety attacks once or twice with some hugs and chants like,

'Chiiiilll, hey, brother it’s all gooooood. Shhhhhhhhhh its ookaaaaaayyyyy, chiiiillll man.'

Something they could appreciate enough that they’d want to be good friends with him but this same relaxed personality of his made it near impossible to really 'claim' him or be by his side mentally because he doesn’t need Whobie at all and they need to feel needed. He’s already got his social circles filled and he’s always seemed stable and happy. No room for Whobie. So they shy away and step off their interest in him too. Then enter Gamzee going crazy.

Imagine the scorpion poison from their lusus that Whobie carried after all this time, used on their enemies and the final boss, sometimes injected onto Whobie accidentally (but they got used to it and are immune), never once used on another troll... until then. Gamzee's gone batshit, he might have already killed some of the trolls, and pressed with no other options, cornered, Whobie injects him with the venom. And it gives him a high harder than he’d ever craved, enough to cloud his mind again and make him forget what he was doing.

He's not the same Gamzee. This poison leaves him in a desolate state. He doesn’t talk. He just blissfully stares off at nothing and, like a dog on a leash, follows Whobie on instinct for more hits whenever he runs low. Whobie was proud of 'vanquishing the beast' at first, going to find the others to show off how they neutralized the danger that they had thought was the only one on board... then they see Eridan's body. And their pride is quickly swept under a cold rug. They’ve lost their moiral, their best friend, the one that got them better than anyone else. And now they have to live with the murderer and the trolls that let it happen. They shut in within themselves, not knowing what to do, how to forgive the circumstances despite them understanding, just lost in their depression, always staying in a dark corner... with Gamzee behind them. Nudging them. Hugging them. Mute but affectionate. Purring. This is all Whobie has left. And they begin to wonder how far they can use Gamzee if they wanted to do something drastic... He's already proven to disregard Karkat's orders if it conflicted with separating from Whobie. Gamzee was their tamed beast now.

Not too sure on how this ends or what’s to come of it. Maybe Gamzee dies saving Whobie from something stupid they caused, and Whobie is absolutely frantic trying to save the one troll they had left on their side but it’s too late. Just more trauma for their noggin.

Years later, there can be an honest chat between the two about what happened with that period of their adventure. Whobie apologizing for drugging him and making him so dependent on them. And how it cost him his life. And he slings an arm over em and tells them he was grateful in the long run that they did what they did. He killed his friends. He was out of his mind. But when he was high on the scorpion venom... he felt like he could think clearly again. Remembered that he didn’t have to kill anyone... and he just kept sticking to Whobie because he was afraid of losing that control again.

Whobie still repeats that they’re sorry for using him like they had, for petty revenge stuff. He scratches his head and disagrees that they ever used him. they never ordered him to kill anyone, to even hurt anyone. He wasn’t even ordered to keep protecting Whobie. They never actually asked him to do anything. He just kept following and doing what he felt he wanted to do, to keep being around Whobie no matter what. And yeah, part of it was the drugs, but also... he admits he felt really bad seeing them cry and be so messed up. Whobie is crying again at his showing kindness, they try to unsuccessfully hide it. Gamzee notices, goes 'Aaawww lil buddy...' and sweeps them up in a big hug that has them in the air. He coddles them and doesn’t let go, doing the same purring and nuzzling he did when he was comforting them years before.
