#california is insane#and not always an insane i agree with#but it has a very powerful and unique spirit to it#californians as the descendants of the most adventurous pioneers#who overcame the sierra and found paradise on the other side#paradise and abundance can drive a people mad#into mad dreamers specifically#who imagine new worlds and new ways of living#creates new artforms and explores new horizons#not always good -- sometimes there is stumbling -- but there is something to be said for that spirit#which pushes people forward and dares to try new things#sf is the center of the world probably -- in more ways than one#i think the golden gate is our axis mundi#the divine is overflowing there#much alchemy goes on there#it's a magical place#maddening and chaotic -- but that's part of the appeal#so much vision and daring potential amidst so much chaos and madness#it's a recipe for greatness#don't you ever think about it? how strange it is?#how sf manages to be such a cesspit while also being one of the most desirable places to live in the world#the juxtaposition of poverty and homelessness with the opulence and cutting edge innovation?#it's a special place#Youtube
