Yeah, so obviously hum sabko pata tha ki Satarupa is not going to kill herself, but I was only mildly curious re what changes her mind. Turns out it is the faithful Damo who reminds her that the family doesn’t need more shit to deal with right now and she could try being worthy to the memory of the son who believed in nibhao-ing all relationships. Wow. Talk about no-bullshit. Damo is the voice of Sane this Extra household depends on.

And then she says just the thing to give Satarupa an outlet for her grief and anger. “Media walein hamaare Vatsalya ke maut ka tamasha bana rahein hai.”

Sure enough, the Press is trying to break down the haveli gates to ask the grieving family who is going to be the next heir to their 10,000 cr business. Dayumn. We don’t usually get a specific number on the protagonist’s family’s wealth, no? Just vague mutterings about ‘aukaat’ and ‘deals’ that are supposed to make us believe they could buy out Google tomorrow. Now that I think about it, maybe Arnav had like 10 cr total. Still a lot of money but would also explain so much about his tacky-ass office and suits.

Anyway, the paps (who are even nastier in tellywood than irl, which is saying something), start hounding Dadaji and Shakuni mama about the next heir and investors pulling out and falling stocks etc etc the moment they drive in from somewhere. And Ila, Adhiraj’s assistant, has been sent in undercover as a reporter to get the direct scoop. My friends, this budget-Sid-Malhotra has actually set up a surveillance van.

I...don’t know how to react to what seems to be an actual concrete investigative plan as opposed to impulsive bullshit that makes no sense in the wider scheme of things.

Adhiraj is rather gloat-y about the fact that if this crisis keeps up, Royal Steel Holdings is going to crash. Achha, so theirs is a public company? Toh how does Dadaji just announce an heir without consulting their board of directors and major shareholders? They’ve gotta have them if Adhiraj is talking about the possibility of the company going bankrupt if enough investors pull out. This much business admin toh even I understand. #smh

Oho oho, so Pujan is orchestrating this media circus to up the pressure on Dadaji about the lack of heir. The more the media talks about Royal Steel’s uncertain future, the more Dadaji will feel pressurized to name a new waaris asap and Pujan is the only viable choice, it seems.

Ok, I gotta take a moment. I don’t know what to do with so much efficiency from so many people. Actual strategies that seem viable and have more than a half chance of working.

LMAO this Anami has a part-time Vigilante of Benaras job busting fraudulent babas and sadhus. She’s at it again, recreating one dude’s “miracles” to show people how easily it’s done. Pujan actually suggests his son Avdhoot might be the appropriate candidate for the next waaris and he straight up savage tells him that they’re cousins and therefore ineligible. BUT if Satarupa and Baldev (looks like dishrag-daddy’s name is Baldev only, so idek who Vikram is) agree to adopt Avdhoot, baat ban sakti hai! 

ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? JUST WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES THAT EVEN MAKE? He claims this is a tradition backed by the board of directors also. This fucker is straight up as evil as Pujan and Co and no wonder half of NCR is mad at this family.

And then he stone-cold goes to tell the grieving Baldev that “yeah, I get that you’re sad and shit and your son died literally two days ago but Imma need you to adopt our cousin’s son so that Royal Steel and Lal Mahal continue to stay in the family.” Damn me, ek toh you’ve disinherited the guy (no doubt he deserved it, for whatever his transgression, cos I really don’t like his face) but now you want him to adopt a cousin IMMEDIATELY to further your nepotistic dreams of industrial dominance? 

Udhar Anika ki chhoti behen is getting ready to beat up 4 gundas in 3 minutes (she says this herself, I’m not exaggerating in the slightest). Cos she has to get home by 6. LOL Anami, do you have to get home in time to watch your own show on Star Plus?

We end here but tomorrow, Guruji tells Satarupa that she is not ‘nirvansh’ and reminds her she has a daughter whose ‘haq’ she must now fight for. Let me get this straight. Guruji, Satarupa, Damo conspired to give Anami away for whatever presumably “protective” reason straight after her birth. They didn’t do jack in 17 years to check on her well being and see how she’s doing, what she looks like, etc. Not even secretly. We know this because Damo falls from the sky when she sees Murari Pathak in Benaras but does not recognize Anami and runs to Guruji for reassurance. And now, Vatsalya’s dead and it looks like the inheritance will pass on to Pujan’s family, you suddenly care about Anami’s ‘haq’? 

MISS ME WITH THAT BULLSHIT. 

I’m not feeling too much sympathy for this lot at the moment. Yeah, you made a difficult decision to give her up, but you pretty much forgot about her existence and had NO plans to bring her back until your son died and the empire started slipping away. BUT you want to couch it as a fight for justice for Anami. Because there are only two ways this plays out by YOUR logic-- i) Anami is deeply unhappy where she is and you must save her which you couldn’t be bothered to do in 17 years until your favourite Vats died, or ii) Anami is fine wherever she is but she’s now suddenly supposed to care about the family that gave her away. HOW DOES THIS SOUND OK IN YOUR HEADS? I really look forward to the hell she’s going to unleash in your house.

God, please bring Vatsalya back at some point because him and Murari Pathak were the only two thoroughly likable, chill characters and now we’re down to one. Everyone else is just trying to give various people death by hypertension.
