I got into Steven Universe again and with that came the craving of making all sorts of gem characters! Meet Goldstone aka Goldie and her girlfriend Blue Goldstone, aka Nebula, aka Nebby.
Both of the two are pretty fragile, but valuable stones. Goldie is more of a protector while Nebby takes care of the duo’s stability.
Goldie’s special ability is “glass cannon”. She’s able to boost her strength beyond normal limits for short periods of time, causing massive destruction to her opponents. However, her stamina is so low that she can’t keep it up for long, and her fragile gem becomes even more vulnerable to damage while channeling her ability.
Nebby’s special ability is “forewarn”. She can’t see the future like Sapphires can, but her ability enables her to have extraordinarily high intuition and self-preservation (since she is pretty much useless in battle). She also possesses some low-grade healing powers.

i will admit I'm not like into high fashion so my commentary is coming from a biased place of, basically, disdain... and also a lot of Ignorance because every time i watch stuff about fashion or fashion trends I end up annoyed so I don't have a ton of knowledge about how fashion *actually* works, but i think what rubs me the wrong way is like,
yes, it is genuinely an artform, and a lot of it isn't supposed to necessarily be wearable for daily life because it's more about being a piece of art and telling a visual story, saying something about the world etc etc.
but it just comes across as a very exclusive art form that's only for the wealthy/the very few people that can get their stuff on runways (even if high fashion concepts end up being worn by celebs and then filtered down to mainstream)
and i haven't seen a lot of actual fashion shows but i do feel like, in the clips ive seen from runaways and stills like. it's just so so thin like if fashion is a *wearable* artform why not take into account more than 1 type of body that might in theory wear a garment? i guess because they dont know who will be wearing so they just have a bunch of different models all at the same ultra fucking thin size, but idk just because it's set up this way now doesn't mean it has to stay that way forever?
and this might be slightly related, idk, but it's very funny because i like learning about historical fashion and being like "wow the silhouette was so cool!" but i hate hearing about what's trending now because it's like "ugh just wear whatever you want who caaressss whats trendy"
and i'm GLAD we do live in the now because i know, for instance, historically speaking you were probably even more expected to wear whatever is the current fashion even if you don't vibe with it or don't find it flattering. so, god, at least we do live in a world where you can mostly wear what you want even if it isn't trendy. still, constantly following the shifts in trends on a 6month to 3year cycle is like. an exhausting idea to me
